Nice pub, welcoming and great staff. Pool tables and good food. Sounds playing were bangers just a good feel. Plus being a hunter diver the locals were great

The size and decor of the bar is reflective of it's small town stature. It has a small pokie room, pool table and pizza's from the attached pizza place. The staff are friendly. The outdoor area out the back is small and faces the car park, hence not much of a view. Last stop along the way before reaching Tauranga from highway one so I sometimes stop in for a break from driving.

Highly recommended. Tried their tropical veggie pizza and garlic chicken pizza. Both were delicious with a nice spread of toppings. The staff was also very courteous and cheerful.

Hog and Hounds is the place to go if your looking for a night out in Putaruru, they serve delicious well priced pizza from the orchid thieves as well as your favourite brews. The customer service is also fantastic, they often have karaoke and live music. Awesome atmosphere 😊

This is the place to go to watch sports live n enjoy yummy food n beverage. Great place to boogie down, especially when they have a band. If it's too hot, u can walk out the back n sit down to enjoy ur beer. Very awesome drinking place
