Amazing, buy a drink n get a free pizza between 3 and 8pm. The mechanical bull and the deco is soooo cool, highly recommend

Awesome bar, awesome atmosphere and awesome selection of music! Gave a try to ride a bull, a lot of fun! Amazed by details in the bar, everything has a theme from bar stools in shape of horse saddle to beer tap handles in shape of guns. Must visit!

Our new favorite place in Queenstown for a delicious beer. The atmosphere is spectacular, very good attention, even more, its games make it a unique place. Chileans around the world

Fantastic bar! Spent 3 nights in Queenstown and went here every night. The staff were very accommodating and fun. The manager, Patrick, was extremely friendly and made every night fun, his service was impeccable. Will be returning on the next visit!

Just got back to hotel after a nights’s singing/drinking there. Had a great night, met some awesome people [in p;articular, Mark, Michelle , Lynley and Steve from Matamata]. Would recommend it you’re out for a fun night as a real mixture of age groups and types of people. A great enjoyable night - IF YOU’RE in THE MOOD TO HAVE FUN!!!! Thanks to Eugene, Lily and Jillian in particular.

We had a great night in cowboys with our family. They challenged each other on the bull ride and had a grab time. The pizza was tasty and the bar is so cool, definatly out of the ordinary. The bar manager was friendly and helpful. He made sure we felt very welcome. Thank for that 🙂

My family had the best time ever! The bartender who is from Colombia was the greatest host! Lots of laughs lots of drinks and ride a bull if your a fool! Loved it!

Had the absolute best time here, all three nights! Great atmosphere, even during level 2 rules. Mel was great, as were the staff we meet. Looking forward to when we can get down to Queenstown again. Thanks for making our nights there awesome!!

If you go between 3 and 6pm, pizzas are free. We were well looked after by the bar manager and her staff, a maori lady (nga mihi ehoa). We also got spicy chicken wings and had ride on the mechanical bull, all for a donation.

Great bar, alot of money has gone into making this place look the part. Male bar tenders were great. Dark hair chick was unfortunately horrible to deal with and made you feel bad for even getting her attention. A smile doesn't go far.

Pretty cool place, they definitely went all out on the old west theme. Drinks aren't crazy expensive either. The one thing I dislike about the bar is the music choice at times. It seems like they can't decide to play swings music, classic rock, or pop music. But generally this is an awesome bar with super cool staff!

Great service, with free bar snacks on certain nights. Free pool table with 10 dollars as bond. Great selection of strains for 14 dollars. Awesome selection of music everyday.

Amazing place . Beautiful music a very busy and different bar at night

Packed. Absolutely rammed with people. Pool table and a bit of seating. The people inside were super friendly and dressed very casually. A few cow boy hats (provided by the venue) gave it a super fun feel. Bar staff were under the pump. Had the foulest beer (I think it was local) and left before we'd finished it as it was hard to move. Definitely worth going.

Saturday night in September was a ripper. Older crowd (if you are 20) but good atmosphere. The bull ride goes off later in the night so don’t go home early. Getting a drink wasn’t too much of an effort and the tracks and old school music videos on that tv will keep you interested if you’re not in the mood for dancing.

Cowboys never fails to provide a top quality night! You'll find retro music, steins of beer and a mechanical bull. All the ingredients of a great time! Note: there is no sports coverage at this bar so you'll have to go elsewhere for that.

Super fun pub, by far my favourite visiting from Sydney. You must ride the bull!!

Huge bar, with two bar counters and a snooker and pool table. They also have a bull, and it’s fun to watch people trying to ride the bull. It’s a good place for a few beers, but this place doesn’t have limes so don’t ask for cocktails like vodka lime soda. Apparently there is no lime in NZ!? (said the young male bartender with tattoos)

Very strict id standards and found that needing a stamp made it feel very cheap. The music was great and the decor made for good conversation. Overall don't need to go back but wasn't bad for one drink and a game of pool.

Loved the atmosphere here! Finally gave the bull ride a go! Incredible service from bar tender Camilo, he looked after me all night and even created a drink request not on the menu - love when a bar tender goes the extra mile! Definitely one of the best bars I've been to in the world, such a great set up!

Its a very good place to enjoy your evening in a very different Europian vintage cowboy style. Everything here is designed to give you a feel of proper cow boy club where you can allow a hidden adventurous person inside you. Apart from that drink service is also very good. You cab find a good atomsphere and can also enjoy a facility to challenge yourself and your friends to stay long on mechanic bull. My overall experience here was very lovely

Great theme bar for good drinks and has a few gaming tables like a pool table. Occasional gives free food with the beers. Only loses a point due to no system to control hogging of the tables

I've been informed by the locals that this bar is a bit of a Queenstown institution. It did not disappoint! Cowboy Qt is a traditional saloon type bar with sticky floors pool tables / shuffle board, everyone was having a good time, the alcohol flowing, and the staff were nice pluss they even offered us complementary snacks (party pies, mini quiche and snag rolls)... and hold on to your hats, they have a mechanical bull!!! If you are a cowboy or a cow girl that enjoys a good night out on the town, put Cowboys QT on your must visit list!! it's guaranteed to be a bucking good night! cheer !

Nice place to drink and have fun. Nice music, good beers and food and people. They have some games that you can play for free (leaving your ID and some cash), what is good to have fun with friends. I would come back.

Decent bar, excellent prices for drinks and entertainment inside including a mechanical bull and shuffleboard. Decent music and crowd, friendly staff although the bouncers outside can tell you you're not coming in an give no reason, even if the place is quiet and you're sober and well dressed.

Equal favourite for best party venue in Queenstown, with Winnies. The age of the crowd varied a bit, so we didn't feel out of place like some of the other places at 30 years old. The music is absolutely on point. Old school stuff that everyone in the place sings together. Add everyone gathered around the shuffleboard table cheering people on, and the place has a great vibe. On a Monday night, it seemed to have a bit of a locals vibe, making it a bit harder to meet people, but was still good fun.

They got rid of $8 litre ciders.. much disappointment. Defeats the whole purpose of our trip to Queenstown 😥 Hectic vibe and superb place otherwise if you want to meet cute Europeans and ride a bucking bull? You're welcome

Pretty lit for a Tuesday night. Everywhere else was dead. Good selection of drinks. Also they have a Ride on bull lol!

Pretty laid back place, Love the bear near the entrance, Have a go at riding the bull or just laugh at the others riding it. Great $10 dollar beer steins, have a workout whilst drinking because they will get heavy

Down a side alley next to the popular cookie and cream shop walk down to the cowboy bar and get ready to be wowed! Small area but a lot of visual cowboy stuff! Great bar staff and fantasic chicken sliders!

Cowboys was a great little bar tucked away in an alley way. They have a bucking bull and good table games. Drinks are a decent price and music is good.

The perfect place for a drink during a cold winter's day in QT, the big gas fire places give out comfort and warmth, the service is good with pleasant staff. They have created old world cowboy charm in a modern environment, well worth a visit.

Had great night there on Saturday! We arrived around 6 o'clock, got to ride the bull, got free pizzas and shots for my auntys 50th! Staff were lovely! Keep it up

I recently spent a week in Queenstown with my mother and family members celebrating her 81st birthday. We took our mother to Cowboys Bar to celebrate and we received the most wonderful service from an employee who's name was Mel, we can't speak highly enough of the way she looked after our mother- Mel with your service you made her day special and ours as well. Great atmosphere- we was in late afternoon had amazing pizza and chicken wings- the kids love the mechanical bull. Bar staff was amazing- Great fun for all ages

This was my favourite place to go in Queenstown. Good beer served in steins. Amazing atmosphere, fantastic choonz, and generally great! Plus the bull!!

I don't remember a whole lot, but I had a brilliant time! Good drinks and staff had good banter all night.

You get what expect, delitfully tacky and fun! Ride the bull, sit in the saddles enjoy the locals and the fire! Also pool and shuffle board if you can squeeze in
