This was fantastic. Myself, Wife and daughter had a lovely meal. Great pints of Guinness. And believe me I have drank a fair amount of Guinness in my time. Only downside was I mistakenly thought the guy running the place was Mexican. Yeah. He's Indian. Nice guy too.

Great as usual. New owners since we last visited Taupo. Maybe add more old and known music too but still friendly and beers are cheap. Oh and my partner and I win a little bit at the pokies too 😁🍻

Quick stop after a long drive. Found this pub by accident. Best pint of Guinness I've had in a long time. Nice wee pub. Even let us try the wine before we bought. Be heading back down this way next week. Might even stop in for another pint or three

Love this place! If you are looking for a cool place that doesn't have the tourist trap feel, and you are looking for excellent food, this is the place. It's got the perfect "dive bar" appeal with great food...the fish and chips are the best I've had in a long time (and we're from Wisconsin, fish dinners are a big deal there). For the younger crowd, there is often live music after 8:30 or 9 and the prices are affordable. The locals hang out here, and they are friendly, that's always a good sign.

Beer or wine and a burger. If you are looking for cheap ($15) tasty eats before 9 pm this is the place. They even have a few tables outside where you can catch the sunset. Inside is old style pub.
