R.Was a great base to explore the Taupo cycle trails. Classic feeling but modern renovated room was ideal with private guest garden and space to store the bike. Close to all the Taupo tourist spots but far enough away to feel relaxed and calm. Will return

It was really hot, so maybe provide mobile air con units for summer time?
P.Amazing place so close to the lake. Very cozy and clean room, unlimited Wi-Fi with good speed and quality. And the best part for us - we were allowed to have our foxies with us. Would definitely recommend this Motel 😊
S.Delightful small motel, spacious and comfortable with a charming retro theme. The unit had both front and back doors allowing us to walk our fur babies in comparative privacy. Just a short stroll takes you to Lake Taupo foreshore and the street is very quiet at night. Excellent value.
J.Wonderful accommodation. The rooms felt comfortable and homely but clean and appropriate. It was like a boutique art house hotel without the hefty price tag. Highly recommended. Fabulous service as well, thank you. Will be staying again next time I'm in Taupō.
E.Loved the retro style of the rooms, friendly hosts and it was great to be able to take our dog. The hosts gave us options for dog friendly places, 2 mile sailing club was perfect for my daughter and puppy, where we enjoyed pizza and live music.
Close to the lake for a swim and in the morning we walked into town and had breakfast.
W.Finally my last review of our stay in Taupo..... Di, Tony and the team are simply fantastic. Rooms are awesome and the location is perfect. Thank you so much for making our stay in Taupo just that more special. Our new favorite place to recover in Taupo. Thanks team, we will definitely be back.
D.Fantastic experience. We recently stayed 4 nights with our little dog. Cosy, clean, and close to everything. The apartment had everything you could think of including plenty of space and parking at your door.
Close to all the great restaurants and you'll get Tony's personalised recommendations as well - he didn't disappoint !
Overall we would highly recommend The Lake and we will definately be coming back.

K.We recently enjoyed a two night stay at this delightfully retro motel. Our unit was very well appointed and we wanted for nothing. The location is excellent being close to some well known eateries which we took advantage of. And it only takes a couple of minutes by car to get into the city centre. Would happily stay here again.
