Nice selection of ciders and a beautiful view. Their opening times didn't match the ones posted so we thought we missed them one day and the day after we waited around for an hour before as we really wanted to visit them. Service could be better, we didn't feel particularly welcome when we arrived. They allow dogs outside which was very nice.

The tasting trays are great - I especially like you can choose your own mix of 4 ciders. The hop was my highlight! The food is good too. The view is pretty spectacular so definitely worth stopping in for lunch or for a tasting!

Great experience, dropped in early and did a paddle tasting of 4 Ciders. 4 very different flavours. Bought some bottles at what I think was a very reasonable price. Def call again

Very popular place (always a good thing). The view is quite breathtaking (especially on a sunset). Food was limited, but good pub-food. The star of the show (obviously by the name of the place) are the ciders. The paddles are an excellent way to taste a variety of wonderful ciders.

Awesome spot just a few minutes out of town, away from the busyness. A place to go and relax and enjoy a quiet bite to eat coupled with great choices of various ciders. Or get together with a group. This place caters for all. Great vibes and views and the staff are fantastic.

A great place to experience a real range of cider flavors. Very much recommend getting a 4 cider taster paddle. Don't expect amazing menu, but the food is good value and cooked well. Tempura fish was wonderful. Bao buns were amazing. Prawns were good. Karage chicken was average. . Definitely book if it's a weekend. Service was fairly average. I wouldn't expect amazing service for a big group.

I love this place. Had the cider paddle and some tapas. I'm not a beer or cider person but the various ciders were yum, especially the feijoa and Mother Pucker. For me anyway. Beautiful food and great ambience. Friendly service.

Good, proper cider and excellent food. Perfect place to stop off on a wet and windy day. Also very accommodating of our small child. The cider is delicious, and a far cry from the sickly sweet stuff that seems to saturate the kiwi market. Looking forward to seeing the Cider Factorie brews available more widely in future. Thanks!

Amazing drink choices. Loved being about to try a few different options. Food portions was large and tasted so great.

Wow wow wow, we visited a couple of times right in the beginning and really loved the brews from the get go. Haven't been back in a while and was very pleasantly surprised with developments. There's a restaurant now, lots of more brews and just all round a very pleasant place to have lunch. Really glad you guys are doing so well and love the brews, keep it coming!!!!!

I cannot fault the cider factorie. Food is fantastic as is the service, ambiance. The ciders are varied and you will find one to suit you pallet. Suggest getting a paddle of asorted tasters (100ml in each glass) and have fun tasting and swapping with others in your group. Thank you for a great lunch experience at such an affordable price. Oh and not to forget Harper the 4 legged hostess who will ensure that you are well loved.

Have been meaning to visit this place for a while now and our visit there did not disappoint. We arrived at a busy time with no booking and they were able to accommodate us. We enjoyed the lunch too. Will visit again.

This is a lovely little restaurant hidden in the heart of Te Puna just out of Rotorua. The food was lovely and they sold a range of different ciders and wines.🍷

A " neat" little place, very, very quick, efficient service, lovely menu you can get a fresh meal with nothing deep fried, batter fried and carbless meal! affordable the chef has this "aced" in and out like a flash. Industrial style setting, though a little noisy, great to do something different with the cider tasting ..also have wine and beer, though for me you going for the experience of a cidar tasting, it is BUSY, so book, kid and dog friendly for me i dont like either, sorry I'm over restaurants catering for both. Absolutely would recommend best casual resturant in the BOP, out of the city, this has to be a regular visit this summer!

This has the makings of a great cider house. Young helpful staff. Great setting right on the edge of Tauranga’s inner harbour. It’s nicely tucked into an avocado orchard, so no traffic noises or city frantic ness just birds singing & the distant sound of the ebbing tide. It’s hard to find first visit. You feel like you could be filming an episode of ‘where the wild men live’. Fantastic outdoor area with the majority of available tables. The in house ciders are top notch like the mojito cider is 10 out of 10. There is also many other on tap in house ciders. Overall it is all a little bit cowboy. No frills. There is a tiny menu on offer but all very delicious, there is only 5 or so options to choose from. The orders arrive casually, some meals are served within 5 mins of ordering while others are still trickling out 25 min later. It just needs some hard core fine tuning. It’s very relaxed like I don’t think anyone would notice if you arrived in your onesie! Not that any descent human being would arrive in a friggin onesie but you could….if you know what I mean! But it’s all there it just needs a fantastic restaurant manager to take it to the great place it can so easily be! I have been here four times now so it’s still a great arvo lunch spot. Just don’t go expecting anything grand because it’s not that! But I guess that is the lovely thing about this cider factory that’s it has the guts to be exactly what it is. Relaxed. Informal. Fun. Affordable.

Food was nice but wait staff looked and behaved as if they didn’t want to be there. One waitress took our plates away without asking us if she could, didn’t say a word to us. No one checked whether our food was alright or if we wanted another drink. No excuse as we were there late afternoon and they weren’t busy.

It isn't the flashiest place on earth basic menu but very tasty and cooked to perfection.... the cider tasting now here I go..... great variety generous size and real fair prices....some ciders were freaking tasty some twisted me face like lemon but definitely great experience will definitely be going Back......

Great spot to sit in the sun and sip some great beverages. Small but tasty menu if you need a little something something to fill a hole. Large tables available to accommodate larger groups. Overall an awesome location and great atmosphere, definitely recommended.

We hosted a baby shower for my friend at The Cider Factorie and the service was amazing! They were very accommodating and gave us our own space upstairs and made sure we had everything that we needed. Our entire group of 18 thought the food and drinks were delicious! And the setting and atmosphere was lovely.

Worth the trip, plenty of space, nice outdoor area, lovely food. The sharing plates are a decent size, more than enough for small eaters. The pear cider was delicious Anyone with mobility needs will need to park near the entrance or be dropped off there, as there are 2 lots of steps down from the parking area at the back.

Fantastic place for lunch and to taste a few ciders - some of the ones we tried included lemony snicket and moma pucker... Very nice. Great view of Te puna

Heaps of different ciders to suit all tastes, reasonably priced delicious food, happy staff. A great lunch enjoyed by the whole family.

Excellent service. They were busy and we were a big group with children and dietary requirements, they accommodated us very well. Food was tasty and the cider delicious particularly enjoyed the mojioto one. Thanks.😄👍👍

Great location and good food. We had the tasting platter (4 small glasses), duck liver (which annoying did not have enough bread... surely this is the cheapest thing on the plate so why scrimp?), fries and the beef burger (again skimped, one small slice of tomato and gherkin). Overall was a nice experience. Good hygiene practices (sanitising tables and chairs) and the best things was it was only $44 much less than expected!

Such a hidden gem in Te Puna. Dined in the covered outdoor area which was still cosy on a yucky day. We love the fejoa cider and ordering a bunch of the entrees to share for lunch, hubby would be happy just to eat all of the chicken kaarage.

Good food. Very busy location, if you are stopping here for lunch at the weekend I would suggest booking ahead. We came here for lunch whilst on the Omokoroa to Tauranga cycle track. If you are doing the same be aware the drive away to access the restaurant is very steep and there is no specific cycle parking.

Lovely place to come and eat, great selection of ciders (as you would expect). We were with a fairly large group and we were looked after really well by the friendly staff. Would certainly recommend.

The whole atmostphere and menu when we first arrived was a bit underwhelming and not what we were expecting and the menu was a bit too miminalistic and could do with a couple more salads and desserts. The food being so amazing, the quick and friendly service and the view definitely made up for it. I definitely recommend coming here for lunch or dinner in a big group.Thankyou guys.

Fantastic experience. What a charming place. Simple menu (with excellent food) very reasonable prices and the atmosphere relaxed and the views superb. The service was excellent. Family friendly but orob nit somewhere to take very young children. I can honestly not fault anything, can recommend and will definitely be returning.

First visit. Been meaning to go for ages as so close to home. Great food and beverages. Not a lot on offer on the menu and won't cater for everyone but enough for us. Was a wet day. Will be an awesome place to go in the summer.

The Cider Factorie is a wee hidden gem in Te Puna, Tauranga. Try “The Tripple” a tre fermented cider, tho there are many other ciders to try at the cellar door. The food is fantastic backed up by friendly service.

Fantastic little spot. Great food, lovely shared plates. Very simple but extremely well done menu. I tried 5of the ciders and would not call myself a fan of cider but these were exceptional very tasty and not too sweet. Delicious! A great spot to have a fun and tasty lunch thank you.

Really nice venue. Rural setting with ocean views on the trip out. We went on a busy day. Great hospitality looking after us. And well managed seating everyone. We wanted to try everything on the menu... so take friends and an appetite! 😊

The food and cider was to die for! Definitely worth coming out, the staff were so helpful and friendly. It has a great location and it is decorated nicely. If I am in the area again I will definitely be coming back :) highly recommend

We had a great family lunch here. Sat outside in the sunshine. The tasting paddles of cider were a hit with everyone.

It’s such a nice spot, and good food and drinks, such a shame the waitresses can’t remember to bring your water when offered, and it took so long to get drinks and food. Otherwise this would be a five star spot with little competition locally. 20 mins to get. Flight of ciders - then another 20 mins after ordering before we got our beers. Disapointing overall..we brought some locals and I dont think they will be back because of this experience

An interesting spot to visit in Te Puna. From the carpark you look back to Tauranga overlooking the Wairoa river mouth and the Matua peninsular. The othe direction looks towards the Kaimais amd Omokoroa. A great stop just off the Bethlehem-Omokoroa cycleway. Looks a well run resturant and our meal was great.

The food was amazing, this is definitely worth your money and time. I enjoyed the beautiful view. The staff were very friendly. I am gluten free and and I am very impressed how every item on the menu was gluten free! There was also a wide range of meals on the menu ! Would definitely recomend.

This is a great place for quite afternoon with friends / family or Partner... enjoy the different Ciders on tap and take in the scenery while you relax.

About time that the Bay of Plenty had a Food & Drink venue to match those great wineries of Hawke's Bay... and they've sure done it with three things - FANTASTIC, crisp and refreshing, beautifully crafted, genuine Cider; SUPERB perfectly matched light meals with style, and to cap it off SPECTACULAR Views of Mountains (The Kaimai Range) and serene Islands stretched across the Sea... I could spend all day ...and then some here!

Dropped in for lunch and had some share platters between us. The food was fantastic. Ciders were delicious and so light and fresh. Staff were fantastic and so friendly. We arrived for late lunch but had no bookings and it was a 1hour wait for a table. We were happy to wait but as there was no bar stools or other shaded seats outside we decided to leave. Looks a lovely place to eat at however l.

Great location but food not that great. Steak was nice but fries came first separately in a bowl and had to eat them or would have been cold as steak took a while after. Fries weren't the best so bit disappointed really. Steak was expensive for what it was $15.00 just for a small bit of steak with no salad and fries charged separately

Amazing views in a lovely outdoor setting. Tasting paddles & platters were great with good selections. The staff were efficient, well presented, friendly and very knowledgeable. Would recommend ringing ahead to book in as they have limited tables.

The views are extremely beautiful when you arrive and sit down to eat. There are a variety of ciders to choose from all with their unique taste. The prices great with most ciders at $7 and tasting drinks at $2.50 (100mls). The service was excellent and helpful. The food was good but perhaps expensive compared to the drinks. Chicken Bites was a large serving $14 pork buns at $15. Highly recommended place.

Went as a family group (incl an active 3 year old) for lunch on a Sunday. Cider was beautiful, platters average with very very small condiments ( ie aioli, herb butter etc), bit disappointed... also no play area for kids,which is a shame as there is definitely enough room for one...😏😓

Nice location and views but beware of bees and wasps. This location is great for a group to get away from the city to enjoy the local country side. It has a wide range of ciders and drink options available. Stand pub style menu with a few extras. Beware of bee/wasps invading your table (we captured 5 and the wait staff were very friend and removed them for us). Very friendly onsite dog.

The Cider Factorie is a beautiful, private spot. It is built for summer, and a perfect way place to relax, without the hassle of going into town. As far as the food and beverages go, I had cheese, and a Lemonade Cider. The cheese was good, and the cider was nice. Although it took a few gulps to adjust to the flavor. Final note: I had indicated that there was no wheelchair accessible car parking, which is wrong.

One of Tauranga's best kept secrets. Unless you look for it - you will never find it. With commanding harbour views, delicious food options for any budget, cider and other cold beverages, what a way to spend a marvellous afternoon. Cider Factory will become one of our regular haunts this summer. PS - dog friendly location.

Lovely setting overlooking the water. Really good cider and kids' meals are good value. Steer clear of the cheese board: $16 dollars for 2 small pieces of cheese, 2 pieces of bread and 6 crackers. Couldn't believe so little cost so much. Wouldn't be hard for the Cider Factorie to spare a few more crackers and a couple more slices of bread for that price.

Food was very nice.

Tucked away off the beaten track. More visible signage would be nice. Great selection of drinks to cover all tastes. Good bites however the Poutine is NOT Poutine! Needs curds & better gravy or call it what it is - soupy cheese fries.
