W.Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids love visiting the Hop House, it's become a Sunday lunch tradition. The food is great, particularly the burgers!. And the selection of craft beers is always fantastic and they also offer the best range of sour beers I've come across. We love our chats with Jack the barman who is always happy to talk about the new menu options, make suggestions and take time with the customers. Our kids even love his chats. David and the team are great and take the time to know what customers are looking for and sourcing it. This is one of the first places we take visitors from out of town to.

S.Highly recommended. Burgers are about $18 on average, which is a steal considering all the good stuff in them. Large selection of craft beer as well. Fun and friendly staff, great atmosphere.

J.Just had a heavenly take out meal from the Hop House, Yorkshire Pud, Horseradish Sauce, Roasty Potatoes, Perfect Cooked Roast Beef Slices, Honey Glazed Carrots, Wonderful Gravy...Oh utter joy, but wait there more. Followed by delicious Chocolate Cake, with a sumptious berry sauce and cream. At this point I ascended to food heaven. Cannot wait to have another treat like this one. L.We recently held a 30th birthday party at the Hop House and I can’t recommend David and his team enough. David and his team provided a service over and above our expectations, making sure the whole night ran smoothly and all of our requests were met. The food was delicious and we really appreciated being able to set up and decorate the area however we liked. Thank you again, we will definitely be back!

A.Recently hosted an afternoon event at the Hop House with a great turnout of around 25 people. The staff made everything so easy, from the room hire, to the use of their WiFi and AV equipment. The drinks were flowing and we had some awesome feedback from our guests on the food. Definitely recommend for corporate events, it couldn't have gone any smoother. Thanks team!

J.I met with David to discuss my upcoming birthday party and using the Hop house as my venue. He was so friendly, and made me feel very welcomed from the beginning. He said we would be well looked after on the night, and he certainly delivered on all his promises!! Jack was our personal waiter all night, and was INCREDIBLE. He certainly took care of us. The pizzas and chips were yum. But it was the service, that blew us all away. Thanks so much team!!

I don't need to mention the variety of beers. Constantly rotating taps with hoppy goodness for decent coin. Owner is super friendly and passionate about the beers. So is the staff.
Bar is the perfect size, not too large not too cramped and food options are not adventurous but decent pub food with a few levels up on the quality scale.

B.Well.... This place is great. Great selection of tap beers from great breweries around the country (not mount brewing, sorry you don't cut the grade) great food and great atmosphere. They allow you to eat from any eatery around and sit and drink at their outdoor table section. Just great great great.
M.We had a tasty pizza here. The chap taking our order couldn't have been more helpful. There wasn't a vegan pizza on the menu, but the pizza they whipped up should be! Very nice. With some tasty craft beers to wash it down. Ahhhhhh.

L.If you are visiting Tauranga and are looking for an awesome burger, then you have found your place! The burgers here were incredible. They had a perfect amount of sauce and were generous in the fillings. The chips of the side were tasty and cooked to perfection! The best part was that the staff were super friendly AND funny! It is probably one of the best customer service experiences I have had in New Zealand! As someone who is new to Tauranga, I can happily say that I cannot wait to come back here!

R.This is our go to after work Friday beer place before biking home along the estuary. Just one beer. Great and ever changing selection of craft beers. Quite enjoying the Cassell Milk Stout at the moment.

J.Excellent beer and service, good burgers. They tailored my burger to my dietary needs.
N.Very nice location in central wharf street, the service was great. Something that should be done is the foodie section of wharf street should have its roof covered in to allow out the front seating, not saying the seating inside was limited as they have an area out the back with aluminum roof louvers which are great on a warm dry night as they do leak in moderate to heavy rain. But other than that you all should head into the Tauranga strand and food areas. Something that the CBD needs to revived.
E.Great service, the chap with red hair was friendly and helpful. The hot chips were delicious. We went for a Pub Quiz, it was well run and had a nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back the next time we're in town!

C.What a friendly place, I'm not a beer drinker but there is plenty to choice from, they have a good selection wine and can get good recommendation of good paring for food. Now the food, have only been for Sunday roast but will definitely be going back, tasty, well cooked and ample portion. They do events and I will be interested to go for one of their wine tastings. A good place to catch up with friends

For those that don't know, everything these people do is on point. Great selection of beers, wines, and spirits that complements nicely priced food options produced with quality ingredients and attention to detail.
B.Recently visited the Hop house.. we did the Beer tasting..all the beers /cider we tried were good however the stouts both white and woot were just too good..Jack was amazing at front house, he is really good, knows his stuff and is very passionate at what he does..the chef at back fo the house were equally good, the herbed rosemary chips was to die for and the pizza of the day( chicken brie and plum sauce) was equal to none other. We will surely come back!

Couple that with delicious pizzas and a super relaxed atmosphere with team of great people, you have a combination second to none.

E.Came here last night (Saturday night) as we were just walking past. Such friendly and accommodating staff. $20 rib night was perfect. Great atmosphere, and a lovely spot out the back to enjoy a winter’s evening. Highly recommended!

D.This place is an absolute gem. The beer selection is without a doubt the best in the BOP, with 10 or so rotating craft beers from double IPAs to delicious local ciders. The food is the real reason to come though. Rib night and Sunday Roasts regularly sell out and the burgers are delicious. I couldn't reccomend more highly

E.Orded 2 beef sirloin roasts and a bowl of chips, the food was good and great value, when it finally came out! I was disappointed when after waiting around and hour my partner asked for a rough time on the meals to be told "it will be out when it's ready" sounds petty I know but not the greatest response to a fair question after a long wait when it wasn't that busy, tasty roast, good chips just a bit let down on the service and wait times after seeing all the positive reviews for their service.
