s.I've never visited the brewery, but I've always had fantastic service with my online orders from these guys. A really good selection of beers in a variety of styles, and they cater to gluten free. Their work with animal charities and forest and bird is commendable. Highly recommended and well worth a try.
I.As an avid craft beer fan prior to my Coeliac diagnosis around 6 years ago, I love Kereru’s gluten free beer range! There are currently four to choose from and each can easily hold there own against non gluten free craft beers. As a bonus their service is great and delivery fast.
J.I love sharing with friends and family the varieties and new brews that Kereru send to me every month. A great summertime BBQ talking point ! While I don't like every taste or style Kereru produces, there's always someone in my circle that enjoys the more unusual !
T.I am a big fan of Kereru. These are one of about four breweries I always enjoy. On this order I tried some new options including Underparty Smoke and Chilli Wheat Beer which is possibly my favourite new beer of the last 12 months. Definitely worth trying. Great job.

C.Kereru Imperial Nibs is by far the tastiest porter in the market, it is to beer what Rolls Royce is to vehicles. At 8.5% it’s a beer to savour and enjoy. Great Justice is a close second, like a nice Bentley, and at 4.5% is a little more of a daily driver, but with absolute class!
Online ordering was a breeze, and fast delivery given the circumstances. Nice touch with the pages of native bird colouring in (kept the Mrs and kid happy) and the beer mats!

M.Ordered on-line. Prior to this we relied on the extensive range stocked by Wellington Regional Wines and Spirits (although usually wound up buying a few lovely whiskys rather than just the beer we went into). Ability to order a mixed case on line is therefore an economic choice and the quick delivery was appreciated coming so soon after lockdown when the cupboard was bare. Fantastic follow up by the Kereru staff to ensure everything went to plan. Prior to this we subscribed to beer of the month which was also nice to get a surprise delivery ever month because wed forgotten we'd subscribed. However the opportunity to get a mixed box is probably better suited because the ability to mix and match is better. And lovely to do this throughout the year rather than just at Christmas with the KEreru advent calendar (HINT - buy two becasue you can use November to practice for December)> Great work Kereru

J.GLUTEN-FREE BEERS!! Need I say more? Okay I will... They are THE BEST gf beers I have tried! When I was told this year to cut out gluten, what hurt most was the loss of my beloved IPAs and then BAM! Kereru came into my life... Honestly, the GF ale & hoppy beer make me so hoppy... (had to do it)... They are so tasty & I no longer feel like I'm missing out!
Theres nothing like cracking open a cold one of these bad boys after a long day... Or just anytime of day really :P
They even have an advent calender of GF beers which I have just ordered & I am very excited to get!!

F.Like previous comments, as a Cealiac disease sufferer, Kereru's gluten free range is a liquid mana from heaven...it's not only gluten free but tastes good to boot.
Plus living in the deep deep south means buying in a store is limited, however Kereru's very easy to order, pay and fast delivery is almost as quick as popping out to the shops.
PS my wife likes the non GF beers options, such delicious varieties.

S.Kereru are one of my favourite NZ brewers. Their core range is fantastic however their barrel aged series is something else entirely. Couldn't recommend them more. Their online store was a great experience too, descriptive, multi buy deals, fast shipping with a real customer focus. 10 out of 10.

R.Kererū quickly became my favourite Brewer with their Box Of Birds mixed ordering because you get to choose exactly what’s in it rather than it just being a random selection. It’s great to be able to choose a few favourites and a couple of new beers to try. Very fast turn around too, usually only a day or two before it’s delivered from Wellington to Auckland.
Not to mention I’ve enjoyed every Kererū beer I’ve tried. One of the best in NZ.

B.I recently bought the new Kereru Ginger Beer with Turmeric. The order arrived promptly given it was the busy Christmas season, and the box was packed well so the cans didn't tip over. As far as the Ginger Beer goes, it is a very strong hit of ginger and not nearly as sweet as other brands.

It's a great way to bypass the limited supermarket selection. So easy, no fuss (unlike a couple of other companies, which either did not offer gift packs or their staff got into a flap when asked to customise my gift pack) - really nice that you can pick your own rather than be restricted to a ready-made one. G.This is definitely the place to stop off on a Saturday afternoon for what ever beer you feel like on the day. Their regular offerings never disappoint and the small batch/specialties/experiments they are routinely swapping through their taps are always worth a try. These guys know their craft inside and out and genuinely make awesome beer in a variety of styles that I've never seen anyone else able to match. Incidentally, if you are after a session ale/low-al beer, go no further than their Shepard's Ale, nothing else is ever worth it!
B.Fantastic range of high quality beers, with a large bank of taps (10?) available on tap if you'd like to try some. Don't come expecting a range of overly hopped IPAs that all taste the same. Kereru has a wider range of beers than you could imagine, from the easy drinking Silverstream Pale Ale, to the Feijoa Weisse beer, the cacao+vanilla Imperial Nibs, through to the whisky-barrel infused Night Spirit. The owners really care about their product, and are very generous with their time if you want to learn more about beer!

I.Kereru is a must do if you're in the Hutt for some of their famous beers. Their range of beer styles are fantastic and the people working there are super friendly. I particularly love their new round Boi and the smoked coconut porter. Shout out to Drew for amazing service and laughs 😁

C.Our visit to the Kereru Brewing Company was a joy. Natasha showed the two of us around the plant and allowed us to sample several brews in order to assist us to make our purchases. And my word yes, this is seriously good beer, I strongly recommend the Silverstream Pale Ale and the Hop To It Pale Ale but having said that the other beers are very potable as well.

J.The first craft brewery in Upper Hutt, be thankful to this crew from bringing fine craft beers to the area. More focused on beer than anything else, Kereru's cellar door boasts about 24 beers at anyone time, ranging from non-alcoholic Birch Beer to the aged-in-whisky-barrels Night Spirit.
If you like drinking beer then Kereru will be a little nirvana. Not bothering with all the frills, this is a proper cellar door with ten kegs on tap to taste, and a selection of 330ml and 500ml bottles for you to fill a six-pack 'Box of Birds' with.
Visit shortly after Beervana and you'll probably luck out with the festival brews not available in stores.
Ensure you try: the Karengose (seaweed sour ale), the Big Pigeon Pilsner (their major label), the AT-AT imperial pilsner (two and a half standard drinks for the price of one), the Nibs Coconut Porter (chocolate-coconut, old-man goodness), the Come- Bye low-alcohol amber ale (half a standard drink for the designated drivers, and the Pohutukawa Golden Ale (honey-flavoured goodness to impress even the most blokey kiwi.)
Go here. All people in the fine land should visit this master class in raising great craft beers.

M.Enjoy and strongly recommend the excellent Gluten Free Ales produced by Kereru Brewery. I have been Gluten Free for over 20 years now and have become a Cider drinker (thanks to Peckhams Cider) - however now having the choice available from Kereru I am able to mix and match with food or weather or as the spirit takes me. Brewed right here in my home town of Upper Hutt where Kereru are seen as great citizens and part of the explosion of craft brewers hanging out around the back of Maidstone.
R.Great beer, got a selection of the Barrel Aged sent to Los Angeles, CA as a gift...Over the Moon and Night Spirit were both delicious full bodied stouts...I look forward to the Belgian Double, but haven't tried it yet!

Having been diagnosed Coeliac.. thought my Beer days were over (tried other GF beers and knew it was over) then... Chris and the Team at Keruru have restored the universe to rights for all Coeliac's!! Cant rave enough about this beer. Auro is great too...
