Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere plenty of space good parking.

We were asked to scan the QR code and go to a table. A lady came to the table as we sat down introduced herself and asked what we would like to drink. We order and when two of the party finished their drinks she asked if they wanted another and they said yes and away she went and returned with the drinks. She remembered what they had ordered. The experience was great and this was during lockdown 2. With that sort of service the staff should be congratulated and people should visit for the same fantastic experience.

It's fine if all you like is chips, beer and horse racing. Not my cup of tea though. The outside smokers area is right by the main entrance so you need to walk through that to get inside which isn't great.

Pleasant staff when orders taken. Great kai but it took a while to show at table for us all. Other than that, the ambience of the restaurant was great too.

I couldn't believe I couldn't get a cup of coffee even in the restaurant. The staff were lovely. Friendly and helpful ☺️

Stopped in for a cheeky beer while we waited for fish and chips from across the road, handy having a bottle store attached aswell. Probably one of the cheaper places to drink in town, and it's a classic kiwi pub from yesteryear for better or worse.

Absolutely love the Bullock Bar. Since the new owners took over it is an amazing place to dine. Great atmosphere and nothing is a problem with the staff who certainly go the extra mile to accommodate. Great place to have a drink, dine. play the pokies or place a bet. Great place to hold the work functions. An all round lovely locals pub.

Only let down is there only being two toilets in such a huge space otherwise it's a great bar 🙂

Fantastic service. Patient barman that waited while I mucked about making up my mind. Good simple food. Not too much to choose from which was great. Hubby had the steak and ale pie with seasonal veg. I had the rib eye with seasonal veg. The steak and pie were gorgeous but the veg! Hubby doesnt generally like veg but he just couldnt get enough. Plenty of sports to watch if you're that way inclined. Music in the background but still very easy to have a nice conversation. Loved the atmosphere and casual setting. Thanks for a great visit.

Went in for dinner after long day at work and found the meal to be good & cheap. Had Blue Cod with chips & salad which was very filling. Staff were friendly and helpful.

One for the local tradies. Free feed for patrons on a Friday, good pool table but only play the bar manager if your an actual shark. Pokies and horse racing for those that way inclined.

They have good, cheap beer on tap and the atmosphere is nice, but they use flour on the fries and are not vegetarian/vegan friendly.

This is a place for locals. Prices are cheap. Lots of room. A lot! Best ribs in New Zealand in my opinion at the restaurant. Lots of parking space.
