Nice place. It’s the slightly fancier arm of JJ Murphy’s. Good outdoor seating with braziers if you are cold. Seems to have a good breakfast and lunch with the JJ’s dinner menu. $8 breakfast is a steal. Decent but not crazy selection of craft beers. All of the usual Wellington culprits. Not too busy right now which was quite nice.

Awesome indoor/outdoor heated deck/tent style bar at the back of Murphys. A small, but solid selection of "drinkable" craft beers on tap that change regularly as they run out (think Panhead, Chomp, Little Creatures, Whistling Sisters, Tuatara). You won't find any sours, 12% porter's or peat smoked hipster beer. You will, however, find good beer, solid bar food/meals (at a good price) with standout service. The staff will treat you like an old friend and if that's not a good reason to go back then what is.

Love coming here on the Friday arvo after a long or short weekend. Always welcomed with a smile by the staff. And served and recomended some of my favovourite craft beer and sometimes a dabble in wine. Perfect place to come and just hang out and have a laugh with some good mates and the staff aswell. Too bad you cant give ten stars, but oh well. Bring on many summer nights in the Gairdin. Sin sin.

We had a great time at Gairdin Bar! We were looking for a lunch spot and heard Leeds Street was a good spot to check out. We sat outside on the patio, had great service and great food! We ate the shepherds pie and chicken salad. The beer selection was great too!
