Love these guys and what they do!! Absolute artists at crafting some the best natural wines I've ever tasted!! Highly recommend ANY Garage Project wine or beers! I love this!!

Lots of beers on tap, and everything we tried was tasty. I really enjoyed their white chocolate porter. We didn’t have any food, but they offer simple bar food. Prices are pretty high for everything, which is why I’m leaving 4 stars. If you can afford it, this is definitely a great spot to enjoy some craft beer. Just wish it could be more affordable!

It actually looks bigger because of all the mirrors lol. Have always loved GP and the tap room didn't disappoint at all! Tried all their beers and the variety is amazing. I prefer the hazy IPAs because I'm not really into sour beers.

Really cool bar, the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. Update 2018: this place still doesn’t disappoint. Quiet part of town to better ‘chill’ in. I did see some people have some oysters so, I think they do serve some food however I didn’t spot a menu other than the beer list.

Nice ambience, pretty good snacks. Being a Garage Project place, don't expect to find too much variety on tap, though they do have plenty that's pretty good. All in all, slightly out of the way of my usual crawl but I wouldn't mind going there again.

They have a freakin' heating rod for caramlising vanilla sugar in the head of their milk stout!?! I had to buy one to see and I feel like a kid at Christmas. Very small tap room seating wise but choice wall of taps and their little beer baubles below it to showcase the style and colour. Not to mention their cool looking 'Flux Capacitor' on the wall for maintaining dailed-in beer pressure.

This pub/ bar has great atmosphere and great selection of craft beers. Everything including eats are reasonably priced. Great selection( almost their entire range) seems to be on tap. I can't have beer so tried their all natural wine - suggest they stick to making beer!!

Love this place. Tiny interior (30 persons max?) with decent tunes. 18 taps and two cask ales. A good wifi connection is here as well.

Always. Try. Something. New. The GP Taproom is a revelation. More taps than you could ever need, with something different every time. It's very easy to spend a lot of time here. The beer is fantastic, but seating can hard to come by sometimes. Be prepared to stand until you can snipe a table. The food is pretty good too, but you really come for a beer. Great place for a drink before heading into town for dinner.

What a fantastic company, and staff. Took my hubby for a missed birthday during level 3 in Auckland, these guys really looked after us, and they looked after their staff through Covid and pay a living wage which in hospo is amazing! They've got me drinking their beer for life. 6 stars fugazi!

So good. Small but the beer selection must be close to unbeatable. The whimsical sense of humour in this place is all-pervasive. I (partially) grew up in Aro Valley, and I'm not surprised this place has sprung up from the beautiful wellspring of culture here. So make sure you take the time to take a look. Being a board game and pull up a seat, or just take a tasting flight of some incredible beer and enjoy the company of Aro locals. Photo taken on a normal Sunday afternoon. Culture? Tick.

With a great selection of Garage Project's finest beers, some non-alcoholic options for the non-dining friends that you might have, and a small selection of snacks, the Tap Room is a great place for a quiet tipple after the Garage has closed for the night. It's a narrow space, with some nice street art on the walls, add friendly staff to help you navigate the extensive drinks list

The GP, on Friday night heading home from a super silly work week was just what the doctor ordered. Relatively quiet and intimate at 5.30, with enough buzz to feel amiable and enough space to enjoy a quiet drink and unwind. This long, narrow bar can be a crowded beacon of youthful hipster enthusiasm but tonight it was also somewhere I was proud to call my local.
