Cute wee bar. Tucked away around beside duck island and fix and Fogg. We only had one cocktail here but was delicious! Nice and different with the alcohol literally hanging. Chilled vibe with dimmed lights and comfy seats. Decor is definitely more old fashioned and hangs on being dirty but they pull the style off.

Loved the vibe. Relaxed. Friendly. Bouncing bottles of delicious alcohol choices hanging from the ceiling. Great character spot. Ate the "Everything Toastie" $14... Best toastie I have ever had. Could not be improved. atmosphere was awesome. Easy place to talk without having to yell. Definitely returning.

Great bar for a cocktail! Welcoming and good atmosphere. The staff here make it, we had some off menu requests and ideas so they whipped up cocktails for us in no time. Knowledgeable and they sure can make a great drink.

Pretty satisfactory cocktail bar with a solid snack selection (pâté, cheese, etc). Personally I like my cocktail bars more dimly lit and with cosier seating. But I might come here again and drink Fugazi beer with blue cheese.

Great little speakeasy where the cocktails are the stars. Very inventive drinks and aptly priced. It's great for a date night, but it can get a little loud during peak hours. The bartenders are cheeky and quick with their wits and will a superb job recommending you something flaming and delicious. or, if you have a cold like I did, just get a hot toddy....that was $10 and boy was it delicious!

Hidden in a back corner, this is the best place you will find in the city for cocktails. Made with such a level of detail, care, and passion. The space is cozy and quiet. A real relaxed vibe to enjoy a high quality drink or two.

Great place tucked away in a corner. It's one of my current fave places to go when I want to hang out and have a conversation without shouting above noisy bar patrons. Really good selection of drinks and snacks, I recommend The Ebony Falcon.

In some bars it is where everyone knows your name. Here, it’s where everything hangs on a bungy cord. And if you’re lucky you get the couch. The tables look sensible. The couch is where you want to be. Don’t think twice, HANG IN THE DITCH!

I found a diamond in an alley off Dixon street. On entering you are greeted by staff who throughout are attentive and courteous. Great ambiance in a dimly lit bar with candles glowing in bottles making this bar very cosy and intimate. The attraction is not only the variety of cocktails and craft beers on offer, but also the bar persons. Above the bar are bottles hanging by bungees which create a show when ordering any of their tantalising cocktails.. The Vulture chilli tequila cocktail will rid any covid. They have snacks of cheese and olives and nibbles on offer . You cannot come to Wellington without a visit here.

Absolutely loved this place. The decor is thematic and while there is a lot, it felt cosy rather than cluttered. The ambience is warm and lowly lit, adding to the cosiness of the bar. While the drinks are a little expensive, this is made up by the funky "experimental" cocktail mixes and the quality service they provide. Definitely one of the best bars in Wellington.

On learning we were visitors to wellington eating and drinking our way around the city, the bartender was happy to recommend other cocktail bars, which is great professional respect.

They guys there were very knowledgeable. The atmosphere/vibe is cosy and cool and the general aesthetic is excellent. They have an unfortunately small range of tequilas but that's honestly my only gripe. Marvelous spot for a top notch cocktail

Nice little place, decor is pretty cool, nice vibe. Seating at the bar, some tables and a very comfy looking sofa. The cocktails are pretty awesome, if expensive but hey, gotta treat yourself now and again 😉. Beer menu is decent too. Staff were chatty, friendly and helpful. There's a snack menu with stuff you might expect- olives, cheeses ect. The only thing that could improve it is easier access for folk with limited mobility- little stair case entry might be limiting for some.

If it's not on the menu, they'll make it anyway. Or tell them what you like and they'll make you something awesome and new. Have been a few times and even with staff changes, they are always really good. Do yourself a favor and order the nut selection to have with a tasty drink. Good music, good service, good drinks.

Cute little bar tucked away off the main street. Neat atmosphere and friendly staff. The rating is for the fact that, considering it is a bar, they didn't carry my first three choices of alcoholic beverages. This is a good place to go if you want expensive, specialty cocktails and to spend an evening sipping them and chatting with friends.

This cozy wee place in the beating heart of Wellington is one of the best places you can go for a great drink. Either something classic or something unique the great staff here will make it for you. Took some overseas guests here and they loved it.
