Really nice cheeseburger and good fries. Wasn’t a massive fan of the welly on a plate burger though unfortunately-a bit too outrageous. And obviously great beer!

Excellent beer and great style. This is a centrally located bar serving classic Panhead beers. The styling is cool with outdoor, indoor and function areas. Open fires are great focal points. Good for an after work beer or as part of a bigger session. Obviously I would have to ditch the kids more often to have a "bigger session". Hopefully this place does well enough to still be going strong in 10 years time!

Came in for a coffee, stayed for a beer. I'm a big fan of Panhead and it was nice to try a couple of their session brews which aren't available in my hometown of Christchurch. The service was friendly and efficient, the fireplaces made indoor and outdoor seating feel very cosy and while I didn't order food, the kitchen smelled amazing! Coffee was good too. Definitely going back next time I'm in Welly.

Good morning it was a most enjoyable experience celebrating Hayden's 40th birthday there. The drinks were half price I had 4 points of supercharger and one pint of interchange and left at 10 p.m.. nice and warm and good service a nice food from their little kitchen. You've heard of Upper Hutt right? Well if you were to take the good beers of the world and make them in Upper Hutt and get them to a bar direct. Then you'd have a great beer and a good story. This place is all about both. Give your stories a bit of width and deep dive into a great selection of regular favorites with a mix of the new barrelled beauties that you'll have once and tell a story about forever.

The beer selection is excellent, with a rotating variety to choose from. Tasting flights are a great way to really dabble with what's on offer. Their service is great; the staff are friendly and know their way around the drinks menu, if you're lost or indecisive. The food is delicious, if a touch expensive. I would put this review at 4.5 stars if I could, as this is my only (slight) criticism.

I like this bar, has a.nice relaxed feeling and great outdoor area..it's just a shame their licence doesn't allow use of out door area after 10.30pm? Seems a bit harsh for what is bar away from the main Courtney place bars and very contained. Great beer...great location.

Beer is great. Don’t plan to eat there if you are a vegetarian or vegan unless you are happy to watch your mates tuck in to a burger while you nibble on a salad! I asked if they could take the corned beef out of the Reuben Sandwich by but this was not do able.

Beer selection was (obviously) really good. Delicious, with a wide range of options and all on tap. Atmosphere is good, was nice and warm on our arrival. The staff were asked us about 6 times whether we'd like to order to which we continuously replied that we were waiting on our last member for the table. Finally he arrived and we ordered. There are NO vegan options other than carrot sticks and hummus. The meat options the rest of table got were pretty average I'm told and needless to say, a tablespoon of hummus and half a carrot for $10 is a bit much. The corn chips and salsa are a mix of different types of corn chips and a tomato salsa. After the waiter assuring us they were vegan, we found cheese flavoured chips all throughout. In conclusion, if you're going for just drinks, then great. You'll be really impressed. But leave this place until after dinner if you want something half decent to eat.

The décor is cool, the service was lovely, the beers are obviously excellent. The food we had was a bit underwhelming - the reuben sandwich was lacking a decent amount of meat so the ratio of bread to meat made it bland. The brisket croquettes were fine, but again fairly meatless. Go for the drinks and the good ambiance for sure!

I was in downtown Wellington killing some time, so brought a beer here. I'm a huge fan of panhead in Brewtown in Upper Hutt, so great to see it's presence in the city. It's a casual little establishment which looks like it's going to be fantastic on a summers day. They've got 14 beers on tap, including some small batch beers which makes for an enjoyable session day. Food is well priced and catering to a pub experience (which is what I want, and value)

Good spot for brews (obviously) and also for people watching. Dishes are copious, uncomplicated and comforting - perfect for a pubday meal. Take advantage of a sunny day and sit on the veranda, drinking in the sun and the IPA. Don't forget to try their sour beer if that's your thing, it's a goodun!

Legendary beers but a bang average burger. Two bits of advice, get yourself a hazy ram rod and avoid the pulled pork burger. Its dry and disappointing. If you want to try the real deal hed up to Upper Hutt to eat at the brewery its infinitely better food. I'll be back for more beers though.
