Their Birds Eye Hazy is one of the best around. They actually do quite a few if your a Hazy fan. The micro brewery in Lyall Bay is great. Nice food selection at reasonable prices, family vibe, dogs inside (including me). Sample 5 of their best beers for $22 yum! 😋

Honestly, I didn’t think anything could cure my hangover but the Parrotdog um-possible burger did the trick. Super tasty and all the dogs were really cute. Also, can recommend the toilets for a cheeky spew. Privacy is unparalleled, cleanliness top notch. 10/10

I am a regular at PD. Beers are great and so are the burgers. If there is ever a problem I have found the staff are willing to fix it. I must always time things right because I never have an issue with lines or lack of service. Keep up the great work PD crew!

Had a great time on my first visit. Been wanting to visit for some time, but first opportunity to get to Welly to see the new bar. Didn’t disappoint. Great food, great beer, friendly and helpful service (we ordered a couple of the paddles and got notes about each one so we could check the info for each beer on their website). Spent quite a few hours here. Tried all their main tap beers :-/ My fave? Bitterbitch. My partner’s? Falcon. Thanks for a great time.

Been to Parrotdog many times but as local I’ve never really bothered to review the place but tonight’s experience was extra special. The beer, the layout, the service and the vibe is always top notch but I don’t know if there’s a new chef, but the food was fantastic. It’s a simple menu but done so well. The buffalo cauliflower was exceptional as was the fish burger.... top notch! We’re lucky to have this business in Wellington!

Really enjoy the atmosphere is the place. It's cool seeing the goings on of the brewery from inside the eatery. Really nice food and amazing beer. Great spot to unwind after work, also very family friendly for a meal.

I had to take this place with a pinch of salt the first time I came in, it had just opened up and just trying to find its feet. The choices of cider weren't too great but what can I expect from a brewery? Staff were super nice, great personalities there so expect a laugh. There's a lot of open space that I imagine will be filled over time and the atmosphere isn't quite there yet but all it needs is time. And they let dogs in!... Bonus!

First steps off the plane meant I needed to see the nearest brewery haha. Unfortunately this is an off license spot only, but Dustin and crew behind the counter will immediately be good chaps to have a chin wag with about other local beer spots and the goings on in life. Feel free to ask for a taste before you buy: they're all amazing brews. BONUS FACT: Dustin was wearing the exact same outfit today as he was in the 2018 Wellington Beer Guide

Just an awesome experience, we came down from the Waikato and basically welcomed with open arms. We have a very large dog, Borzoi (Russian wolf hound) and he was accepted and admired by all. Called in for a couple and stayed till well after 10. Staff drawling over him more than himself.! Atmosphere was stunning and service impeccable We cannot faulted anything about this place and when we move home again, so happy to make it our local As for the craft beers, out of this world!!!!! 5+ stars from us and 10 Paws from Misha our dog!

One of the best places to go for craft beer and delicious food in New Zealand. The service is great and a great selection of locally brewed beer. Can't go wrong!

The rueben sandwich was delicious. Unfortunately they didn’t have their two sours, but the beer we needed up getting was high quality. The atmosphere felt like hanging out in a friend’s basement in the 80s- very homey and comfortable.

Brewery tour great - good range of beer tasting, friendly knowledgeable staff and 10% discount afterwards at the bar and for dinner. Great atmosphere - and a pool table too. Well worth a visit, or two.

Customer service was outstanding here. There was a delay on our meal which was understandable seeing how busy it was on a Friday night. Nothing but apologies and offered a round of drinks. Outstanding guys, keep up the good work!

We had such an awesome experience here! Our trip in Wellington was quite short but we definitely wanted to check this place out. I ordered a flight and enjoyed all of them, especially the Marzen and Deadcanary. Tori was fantastic and made us comfortable during our time. We had just left the airport and had our luggage with us so we were a bit frazzled at first. We also had the crispy chicken and cauliflower appetizers, both of which were delicious. Most of all we really appreciated Tori’s willingness to go out of her way to make our trip special. We will definitely make a point to come back next time we are in Wellington!

Excellent beer; food was tasty enough but served in very small portions for the price. I think my reuben sandwich had a single slice of corned beef on it. Vibe was chill, staff was friendly. I would definitely go back for the beer, but if you value, well, value, eat somewhere else.

heyyyyy, i was here on the 19/12/2020 1130am i do like my craft beers especially all the different hazy beers in nz. i came up from chc to pick up my new car and i had a few hours up my sleeve until my ferry crossing back to the mainland! i actually thought to going to the panhead brewery in upper hut but knowing it was a over a hour trip to there and back, i decided to hit up google and.. parrot dog brewery came up so i decided to give them a go.. it was a quick stop as i consumed a few high % beers the night before. 5 stars wellington for your excellent craft beer pubs (something chc needs..) i went straight to there shop and got 2 x 6 packs of 2 x different types of hazy beer and a cool little pack of a mixed 6 pk of excellent beers which i’m drinking now. just want to say a big thank you 🙏

I like how big the hallway is. It's nice when a hallway becomes a legitimate place of gathering. Also very cool curtains. And a good bar. Shame about the location.

Such a rad place. It's like sitting in your grandma's house with all the 70s decor, but with amazing beer and cheeseburgers. All the doggos inside made it fun too.

Great local craft brewery with small brewery shop with their core range on tap and limited release. Can purchase merchandise as well shirts, glasses etc. Always super friendly team at the brewery to help you out as well.
