Sprig +Fern is awesome place in Tawa town centre. Great selection of craft beers amd food. Outdoor seating area is good on clear weather and indoor seating area is big too. They don't do Tasting puddles but allow takeaway beer in brown plastic bottles which is treat.

Came here with my partner our first time coming & we definitely was satisfied, beautiful food & beautiful team members decent sized meals & affordable, we enjoyed our drinks too - We definitely will be back 😊😊😊

Wow I had seen reviews. And I thought OK well the place looked clean. Tidy and space no crowding. A big plus. Was greeted by Rory. He was smiling behind his mask. He went beyond with the service. Menu was wow Ordered The Bacon Beef cheese Burger. We were hungry. When it arrived I was like OK. It was Bigger and came with fries... Juicy flavoured and filling. Updated review. Went back today for lunch and had an awesome experience. Fantastic new west Coast Ipa released today and the sharing platter was one of the best we have ever had. We will be back! December 2020 (previous review) Lovely spot, quite good beer and food was good. But unfortunately on this night the service was really lacking. Had to go to the bar several times to order drinks and still they forgot drinks. They forgot to come over and ask if we wanted a main so we went somewhere else for a second course.

Limited menu ,great drink selection more so than food. It's a pub I guess so not a food zone we really lack variety in Tawa pricy food ,fish n Chios all greasy batter ,pizza tasty and filling 2 drinks 2 mains Galicia bread $88 ...OK I guess but pricy

Hard to hear staff and they didn't seem to project voices through the mask or go closer to the person having trouble hearing them. Food was ok but would love to see some options that are different.

Dining in for a special occasion we felt we were well catered to… but we also felt the inexperience of some of the waiting staff - glasses banged down on the table, blunt answers when asked for drinks, asked the same questions multiple times. Just a little disorganized overall. Those quibbles aside, the food was good, especially the tasting platter. My beef and stout pie was hearty, if a bit on the charred side. Just a little more finesse from the staff and kitchen would bump up the experience.

Warm, welcoming, great food and really exceptional hospitality. Exceptionally friendly and kind service. We had our 3 year old with us, and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We took time off work for family time, and this became one of our highlights. Definitely recommended

We had the best time here. The service made the whole experience nothing was too hard even with the babies, toddlers and teenagers we brought. Even fixing a meal and acknowledging it! Thankyou our waiter/sever was fantastic!!

What a great wee restaurant, it has a really inviting atmosphere and is very nicely decorated and presented, the menu isn't extensive but there is something for everyone including two vegan options, there are a range of pizza's as well as a good variety of starters, burgers, fish & chips and steak on the mains, the Porter pie and mash looked interesting and will one to have on a future date. As it is brewery associated restaurant there is an extensive range of beers including special brews, the wine list is adequate and most wines are around $9.50 / glass so no complaints there. While we were there the music was iconic NZ music which was perfect and made it a night of memories flooding back as the various songs came on. The acoustics in the restaurant are great, it was easy to talk across the table and there was no deafening noise from the others in the restaurant. A great evening out and all for under $70 for 2 including wine

Very newly opened restaurant with a few teething problems but management are open to feedback and a commitment to continue to improve. Will come back again in the near future once a little more settled. Look forward to the next dining experience and must say their outdoor area is amazing! Would be perfect on a sunny day and can accommodate large groups.

We came here expecting the same high service seen in other Sprig and Ferns. Unfortunately this didn't happen. Also the menu didn't specify if any of the items were able to ordered gluten free. The meal was delicious though. After we finished our food and first drink, someone came and cleared the table, resisting the urge to ask us if we enjoyed our meal or would like another drink, so we remained seated at our table and we had some work to discuss anyway, and for nearly an hour we were ignored, seemingly happy enough for us to just sit at the table spending no extra money. We know that this place has only been opened recently, maybe the workers haven't had much experience in customer service before?

Really great for family lunch. Board games were a hit with the kids - just perfect for a rainy day. Food was good although 45 min wait. Just one suggestion- could you add milkshake options for the kids?
