Reviews of The Hunter Lounge
H.This is Victoria University Student Association's venue for shows and performers. Located on the main campus in Kelburn, Wellington. It also includes a fully functional bar. I was surprised at the size and space inside and the quality if the facilities. The lighting, stage and sound facilities were very good. Overall quite a good place.
E.Some student deals and lively spot most of the time. Also love the events hosted here too! (Quiz night etc.)

Warm and welcoming
T.A great chill spot for student, staff, and patrons. With pool tables, arcade games, and events always happening, ita hard not to be entertained. Food is decent, especially after a few drinks and the bar staff are always wonderful.
V.The Hunter Lounge was the perfect venue for a function we hosted for 200 students. The staff were super helpful with setting the place up (including a stage), sorting out the AV, and organising the catering and drinks. Nothing was too much hassle and it was all done for a really reasonable price. Food was great, the space is lovely and the feedback we received was great. I really couldn't fault a thing. We will definitely be using this venue again.
J.We used the Hunter Lounge as a conference venue. It became the hub of the conference as it was the meeting place for poster viewing, social sessions and general networking. The staff there were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Good Chemistry did the catering for us there during the social and poster sessions and their gourmet pizzas were a great hit. It was very convenient have the bar available in the Hunter Lounge for refreshments.
R.Awesome space. Run by good chemistry so food is obviously overpriced and inadequate. I don't drink beer. Sometimes they book great gigs, sound control means they might close quite early.
J.We had my sister's 21st birthday here a couple of weekends ago. It's difficult enough to find a venue in Wellington to cater to 150+ guests, let alone trying to find one that is aesthetically pleasing and culturally sensitive. The Hunter Lounge was all of that and more. Family and friends that helped with set-up and pack-down remarked on the flexibility of the room and ease of communication with the staff - nothing was too hard. Many also commented on the exceptional service the night of the event. Everyone was treated with respect and dignity and we appreciated that very much. Tim, your team is a testament to your leadership! Thanks for having us, we've already recommended to friends and family.
D.Hunter Lounge was a great venue for our clubs quiz night! Helpful staff, wonderful AV set up for slides and DJ, and amazing food, especially their Margarete Pizza. We look forward to working with them again next year!
