The service was great. We booked a table, which was occupied when we arrived. It was all resolved without a fuss and the staff were attentive and helpful. Beers were tidy and enjoyed having the ability to order Little Penang. It's a very good wee combo. Thank you.

The beers were top notch and the place had a young hip feel to it. Highly recommended if you're on your craft beer hunt

I think the kitchen is only there for legal reasons, don't bother the food. Beer and service great though

Loved it. Was really cool being back in the little “village” I grew up in and seeing it now has a little tap house. Staff were great, beer was great. Definitely recommend you try the sour beer!

Very cool vibe, spacious and authentic, these are the words is choose due Hataitai's cool new micro-brewery. With a little range of other beers to compliment their own Pale Ale, beer snobs and their friends will all be satisfied. Yummy snacks keep you going as the evening sun encourages you to stick around longer. Go here and enjoy seeing the club evolve and grow.

Waitoa social club is great. You can order something off their menu or grab a takeaway from anywhere nearby and have it here. Have one of their awesome craft beers and play a boardgame. Super staff and chill atmosphere!

I’ve been a few times and there was a really hot bartender on!

Dropped in for Wellington On A Plate so tried their burger "I can't believe it's not butter chicken" the burger was not the best. Go for a KFC burger for a quarter of the price and more satisfying. As for the facility it was well lit nice and open, very clean I see it must have been a bit of an echo chamber until they installed panels in the ceiling. Staff are relaxed and open. It looks like a number of locals are regulars. Bad burger but good experience none the less.

Best beers in Wellington. Great staff

Small place wir quite a variety of own brewed beer. Small menu with items from fish and chip shop next door. Changing food trucks in front of place. My favorite: bottomless snacks.

Heard the brewer was the Ed Sheeran of the beer industry, and he did not disappoint. It's the best beer south of Mangatainoka.

Decent selection of beers (some are really good!) and a really nice ambiance. It's always great to stop in here for a beer after getting off the bus from town!

This is my local, great little bar, friendly staff, always something new to try. I am looking forward to the next 'tiny desk' gig as well. The first one was so much fun!

Bottomless crisps are the icing on the cake of a great selection on the taps of Waitoa beer, and local guest taps, that should whet your whistle. Board Games a plenty, and the option to byo feed from one of the local eateries, makes it a great place to settle in for the day. Often sports is on the tv, or if you're lucky, an epic train journey will be showing. Happy hour jugs and takeaway riggers. One stop Shop.

Nice small local brewery/bar. However a few of their own beers were on tap but mixed with some others ones without any mention these were guest beers and no proper labels... would be good to say it when people get a tasting platter!

Great local pub. Varied range of good craft beers on tap, really friendly staff, and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Weekly quiz on Wednesdays, written and enthusiastically presented by staff - it doesn’t follow the usual template most other bars use. Very dog friendly.

Nice to have a local craft beer pub. Nice beers to. Enjoyed the IPA series. The club seriously lacks atmosphere in my view.

After work drinks, good beer if you like that, food truck outside, noise level on the high side due to the set up but great addition to the Hataitai scene.

Friendly service and great beer, different experimental sour beers but the session IPA is my favourite. The bar doesn't have a great food selection so the guys let you order food from the local fast food joints around and eat in the bar. Bloody brilliant.

really good menu a weird kind of atmosphere big is nice in it's own way sit amongst the brewing gear is cool. really cool idea in terms of food as all of the menu us sourced from local restaurants the menu entails Mexican, burgers hotdogs all Good pub grub dishes would recommend popping n here

Good beer, Good service. But the noise is terrible. We had to leave after one drink. It's all concrete and metal so noise reverberates. Putting up some blankets, wood, or other soft surface would make a huge difference.

Great wee brew pub that onock out some divine ales, stouts, pilseners etc.. good food, great people too. If you find yourself in hataitai you owe it to yourself and your liver to pop in for a sly pint

Fabulous hosts. Great beers and other drinks. Bar snacks just right. You have to be there. Hataitai Wellington.

The owner and staff are very personable. This is a relaxing place to sit and have a beer or two. The endless potato chip bowls are hard to pass up.

Great place for a catch up with great friends.

$22 for two half pints and a bowl of chips. Another $22 to fill my 2L flagon with pilsner, take it home and drink in the sun. Beers are nice, not quite as refined as garage project or panhead but an awesome local option.

Great experience! Came down to watch the Melbourne Cup, had a few beers and stayed on to do the pub quiz. Had a grand time. They have an awesome policy of allowing food in from the local area and are top blokes. Also they brew their own beers and they aren't too shabby at all. One negative, the floor was drenched from where you had mopped the place. Dead slippy and not enough wet floor signs, nearly stacked it on the way out the bathroom. I can't see any reason why I won't bump this score up to a five after my next visit but wanted to give out some honest feedback.

Met up with old chums for the first time here at Waitoa. Beer was as good as beer gets, Frankenstein was the highlight and I ordered the Onion rings..and glad I did , very moreish and deceptivly filling. Music a little loud but a fine selection. We were last table left at 10pm on a Friday night. Would return again.

It's our local. Pet friendly too.
