n.It is a classic. Remarkable interior decorations. Antiques there are amazing. But the only downside I see is their washroom. Else this would have been a 5 star rating. I think it would have been better if they could upgrade men's toilet with urinal pots. Leave that behind. Outdoor seating available. It will give u a way better feeling of a classic looking restaurant/pub. You would love the decorations and the arrangements. I was pretty impressed with those and the setting. Customer service was good from the girl at the cashier. Literally she was the only one I had to deal mainly. But staff seemed to be nice. Would not hesitate to visit again if I pass by. Food was nice too. Unfortunately, on my day of visit (03/Apr/2022), they had run out of fish. So, I had to go for a second choice.
R.Ample outdoor seating and a fantastically decorated interior made this the perfect stop after a swim in the Coroglen River just across the bridge. Order at the bar and relax away. Sweet stage out the back for when gigs are on.
D.Great country pub. They do big gigs in the summer and it has a big stage area out back. Food is really good although there is no table service you order at the bar and collect your own food. Great atmosphere.

M.An unexpected find on the road to nowhere in the coromandel. Just a really solid pub with food that combines old and new. We got a combination of cheese toasties (!$5) and modern pub food. Really affordable reasonable prices as well.
Great place to stop after a long day of driving.
T.Location is clean and there is plenty of outdoor space. Staff didn't seem to want to leave the bar when I was there and weren't interested in confirming menu related questions with the kitchen. Still, always a good hangout spot

M.This is the most impressive place we found so far. We stopped by unexpected because it the closest place from our destination that we could find something to eat.
It turn out to be the best cafe that we stopped by in nz so far.
The price is cheaper than many other cafe's.
The food was extremely excellent.
Staff members are very friendly and easy to talk to. The most important thing is that the place is nice decorate and very tidy and spotless.
We been all over North island but this place is really is special.
We would definitely come back next time if we come to visit coromandal town.
Most importantly it is kids friendly place too.
There are kids menus to choose from and it was great food😉

A.On your way from Hahei to Coromandel... i am usually skeptical about eating at a Tavern... but I am glad that I stopped by for a quick bite... the place is amazing whether you want to dine inside or outside, the food is delicious and servic3 impeccable... curly fries and a wrap on the way doesn't harm specially if its from Coroglen Tavern... the staffs are friendly as and a must stop-by if you're travelling from Hahei to Coromandel for a quick bite or a beer or two may be... cheers

S.1.45pm on a Summer Friday I pull into the Coroglen Tavern. I've just battled my way out of Auckland heading toward Whitianga. Tired and hungry I make my way to the bar. To my right up the steps are 3 bee keepers, still adorning their bee keeping suits sit with pints in their hands, taking about the morning and what's left for the arvo. At the bar I order a pulled pork burger with a speights mid ale. (I'm driving so I have to be responsible)
I take a place a table to the left out side. I sit sipping my beer taking in the view or the rolling hills across the road. I hear the sound of screeching tires down toward the one way bridge ( not a crash though), I think, yup that bridge is a pain in the arse.
A young fulla pulls up in his 1990 Toyota Corolla wearing his yellow and red surf lifeguard gear. He has with him a black and white rusty farm dog. He walks in side for some tucker too. I think, far out, this place is a postcard of everything I remember as a kid growing up in the country.
My orders up... and It's better than I expected, the pulled pork was tender and succulent. Energy recharged, I head North to Whiti thinking what a mint way to start the weekend!

T.Cool stop. We came here on the virus buster run. Good food from the kitchen, although thought the outdoor seating area could have had a few more seats. Enjoyed coming here and will stop here again, without a doubt!!

S.This is a pretty cool place all things considered but the absolute star of this establishment is Michelle. She (and the jalapeno poppers) is the main reason we came back so many times during our trip.
I'd love to come back and see a gig here over the summer as the garden bar is massive.

E.Really nice tavern. Have nice food but also nice evening snacks and good beers. Stopped here with my mother before we heading back to our stay at Riverglen (a bit up the road right next to it). Great stop to have a beer, snack and warm up.

H.We called in for a cold beer after a long dusty trip down the Tapu-Coroglen Rd (which I don't reccomend). Great place to stop, the pictures and displays on the wall were a step back in time and have you a brief look at the past lives of the locals. Love it, and reccomend it.

D.Wow!! Popped in on 24th, late afternoon, on way to Whitianga with my family and the customer service was incredible !! Lovely and down to earth lady (maybe the manager?) went completely out of her way to help me make an avacado dip for my chips, also suggesting adding sour cream, lime and salt / pepper - avacado wasn’t even on the menu!! I’m a manager of a restaurant so I appreciate this level of kindness very much :) Thanks so much. Second time I’ve been to the coromandel and second time coming in with friendly faces and a warm welcome, you’ll be seeing me again :) Merry Christmas

P.The Coroglen Tavern is famous in the area, near Whitianaga and Hot Water Beach. It often has awesome New years even events and concerts.
It has a great atmosphere and makes a great stop off on a longer trip.

S.We were touring around Coromondel and when we reached the Whitiangar road we stopped at the Coroglen Tavern, recommended to us by the motorcyclist we had met at the Square Kauri. Good call, lovely large pub, decorated with equipment through the ages, chain saws, & general agricultural equipment, some of which I have no idea what they were. We had a couple of drinks and some potato wedges with bacon, cheese, yogurt, an excellent $20 spent

A.Went to the Anniversary weekend gig. Not enough female toilets supplied so the lines to go to the loo were very long, and toilets quickly became very unsanitary.
Also the gig finished half an hour earlier than advertised which was quite disappointing
