After 24 years we decided to sell our family home in Mt Eden (Grammar Zone), we interviewed several agents including Andre Coppell & Cheryl Crane from Custom Residential Ltd. As a Sales and Marketing GM responsible for appointing sales personnel within our company, Andre & Cheryl really had to impress to win our business and they did. What stood out about this team was their persistence, sound real estate knowledge and above all their outstanding salesmanship. They were able to demonstrate how they had consistently negotiated some of the highest sale prices in the area, with an impressive 20-year track record of sales behind them. We recently decided to sell our Sandringham family home after 27 years. It was a daunting prospect but choosing to list it with Andre & Cheryl was the best decision we made. We had watched them successfully market many homes in the area over the years and their engaging manner, knowledge of the area and passion for their work made the choice easy. They are a great team. We bought and sold recently, Andre Cheryl were the agents in both circumstances. Being overly optimistic we bought before selling! As agents acting for their vendor with highly strung buyers (us) in the mix, we could see they were always clearly focused on achieving the best result for their client. Once we had bought we immediately asked them to sell our property (which was utterly unprepared for sale, with 14 years of deferred maintenance and only 3 ½ weeks to get it into shape!). Andre came around and told us exactly what to do and were most helpful provided us with some contacts. All the tradespeople were extremely responsive and professional. It was a hard job to get it done but the tradies all managed to get things done in time. To add to all the stress and panic, our selling campaign was just at the start of a market change. Our potential buyers dropped by the wayside like flies as their houses didn’t sell at auction leaving us (whilst in the middle of an overseas trip) with one bidder at auction and two conditional bidders. We decided to sell our Mount Eden property in March this year after finding another house that better suited our needs (an Andre and Cheryl listing). We didn’t need to spend very much time at all before deciding to list with Andre and Cheryl, for the Mount Eden area it was obvious. Andre and Cheryl are very well known throughout the Mount Eden/Sandringham/Kingsland areas and would have the bulk of the quality property listings in these areas. They are highly professional, competent and also very skilled negotiators with a very good sense of the real estate market so it was an easy choice for us to list with them. Within just 2 weeks of putting our house on the market, Andre and Cheryl had lined up a pre-auction offer that was good enough to start negotiations, and a few days before auction day they had managed to negotiate a significant increase in the offer amount that was sufficient for us to cancel the auction and proceed with the sale.
