Went here for lunch and we got the ribs and Mac n cheese. The meat on the ribs were so tender and the smoky BBQ sauce was nice. The Mac n cheese was awesome, our 3yo ate most of it. We then decided to get desserts which was the chocolate fudge brownie and the cheesecake of the day which was quince. Both were very nice. Service was excellent, wait times weren't long at all and prices were very reasonable.

First time for my family and I to eat here. It was a great experience. Nika that served us was friendly and made our first time experience awesome. We ordered the full rack of ribs, a lamb meal, kids cheeseburger and fried smashed potatoes. Each meal was amazing. Love the feel of the place as well. Thank you Slow Cuts and Nika for making oir first time experience a delight. When we visit Queenstown again we will be sure to dine again in Arrowtown. If you visit Queenstown, head to Arrowtown and dine at Slow Cuts. You will not be disappointed with the food and portions.

We arrived late and by all rights the kitchen could have closed but they seated and fed us with friendliness and graciousness. The quesadilla and the sliders we ordered were absolutely delicious, as were the beer and cider. Highly recommend if you need a tasty bite in Arrowtown!

Chicken and cheese burger was delicious, but the ribs and wings were underwhelming. I asked for BBQ sause with the ribs but it didn't seem like there was any. Also the texture and flavour of the ribs and wings weren't great. I would come back for a burger but I wouldn't recommend buying the ribs.

The turtle burger is one of the best veggie burgers I’ve tried. Really moist and well cooked black bean kumara- most veggie patties tend to be dry and grainy especially those with chickpeas or quinoa. But this was really good. Also the smashed potatoes live up to the hype 😄

Really a phenomenal restaurant, my friends and I loved it. It was very busy the night we went but we were able to get takeaways in very reasonable time (<20 minutes). I got the smashed potatoes and they were divine, beautiful texture, not dried out at all, and crunchy brown on the outside. Beautifully seasoned, too. My boyfriend got the chicken burger (pictured) and found it very tasty and liked it so much he considered going back for another. On top of this, it's very good pricing for large meals so that is yet another plus. Highly recommend

Very enjoyable dinner of rotisserie chicken, roast potatoes and salad followed up with the baked cheesecake. A buttermilk chicken burger with a side of Mac and cheese was had by my partner. Dinner was served very quickly and the service was friendly and attentive. The food is very reasonably priced.

Brilliant, ridiculously delicious! I only will describe the taste of the burgers as ‘Kremar’ in ‘Seinfeld Tv series’ saying about the peaches: “ it’s like a circus in my mouth, it’s like all of my taste buds coming to live” I visited it a few times while in Queenstown and tried the Cheeseburger and Buttermilk chicken burger, both were magnificent! Also had the smashed potatoes which was really smashing!! I hope guys you consider opening in Melbourne, as I am confident that you will crush the market over there and redefine the Burger business. In top of that, amazing waiting staff, very friendly and welcoming. Great vibes.. to put it straight: this place basically got it all .. Thank you for serve food with passion.. All of the best !!

Very delicious and extremely friendly staffs. We ordered smashed potato (highly recommended by our guide taking us to Arrowtown), today’s special (can’t remember the name) and chicken. They tasted so great especially that smashed potato. At last, we ordered too much food and the staff was willing to store our food in the fridge as we still had schedules to run. We had a great experience in this small town and enjoyed great hospitality from the local people.

We don't get down to Arrowtown very often. But just as good as last time. Recommended. The food was brilliant. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the restaurant was as full as they could get it with current COVID restrictions and we had to have an outside table on a frosty day. Was worth it though.

We had the BEST lunch here. We had tried to go to a trendy "best kept secret" bistro down the road which we ended up just walking out from after they didn't have the drinks we wanted (that were on the menu, we chose other drinks from the menu and they didn't have them either) and it was packed. Best thing we ever did because we found Slow Cuts. Next time we're down that way we are definitely coming back

Layout is odd as they could have done more with the space however this place does the best burgers. Great range of things for kids and adults. Only issue would be a local gets treated better than anyone else…faster food/service. Other than that great spot.

Visited Arrowtown today and found this stunning restaurant, Slow Cuts. The atmosphere was so inviting with the big fireplace and great music. Super friendly staff, so polite and quick with service. Really relaxed setting and could have stayed all afternoon. Tried the crispy chicken wings which were delicious!! Burgers looked amazing and will have to go back and try more on the menu.

Didn't plan on heading here but fortunately found it with help from signs on the road. Options fo sitting inside or out and chose the latter because I found the inside a bit too hot. It has quite a few different things to choose from including BBQ meats and burgers. Went with the pork ribs and it was delicious. The ribs had a tasty dry rub and the spicy BBQ sauce gave it even more flavour. Decent BBQ place in Arrowtown. Really nice place for nice food. One thing to note is that the bathroom is outside of the restaurant, beside the stairs that is in the plaza area.

If I could give this 10 stars, I would. Had the beef, chicken and fish burgers, they are all sinfully delicious. Probably one of the biggest reasons I would go back to NZ. Absolutely no exageration. Best service. Coolest vibe. The Jack n' Yack is still talked about weekly. You should definitely consider expanding to America.

Friendly service, well-priced and very tasty ‘meat-forward’ meals served promptly, a reasonable selection of well-priced wine and a few good cocktails, and above all a relaxing and cosy atmosphere. Drove to Arrowtown from Glenorchy. Feeling hungry and we somehow stumbled onto this restaurant. We had the quarter chicken and the roast pork with coconut black rice. They served us a whole jug of cold water completely free. So unheard of where we came from. It was totally a great experience for us. The food were just simply great and delicious. The staff were very friendly. I sat near the kitchen and saw the cooks doing their stuff with great dedication and enjoyment. I strongly recommend everyone to give this restaurant a try. They have a micro brewery but it is only visit by appointment. Since I was driving, I didn’t try anything alcoholic.

Definitely a go to place while in Arrowtown. Was pleasantly surprised that the Chinese restaurant beside it was closed, as this forced us to eat here. Do their burgers, both the classic beef and the buttermilk chicken are good. And don't forget the fried smashed potatoes, served with aioli and tomato sauce (nope that's not ketchup), really amazing. Arrowtown is such a cute place- it is like being stuck during the era of the gold rush, yet there were a lot of quaint and modern shops. We had a late lunch at this restaurant after 2 of the previous places we went to had stopped their lunch service(after 2.30pm). We really enjoyed our lunch and it is definitely good value for money. Food was great, usually with a twist on the typical. Unfortunately the twist isn't always obvious such as the ice coffee without cream was black coffee with ice in it - the cream is actually the milk. We will go back though, we just know what to expect.
