Ordered a couple of take away pizzas and chips. The pizzas had great flavours would highly recommend the carnivore and the Hawaiian, lemon pepper chips were yummy too.

Perfect place for drinks/dinner after a day of outdoor adventures. Loved this place a few winters ago (warm and cozy, awesome food). Came here this summer and still felt the vibe -lovely beer garden in the sunshine with lots of shady trees. Awesome selection of beer and cider. Tried 3 of the pizzas and they were all fantastic. This is our favorite place in arrowtown - would drive out of the way for this one.

Great staff, maybe a bit to eager to clear plates but other than that the service was great. Food was excellent. Not fussed about their house made bbq sauce that was on the pizza, just a touch to much on the sweet side but that's just a personal preference.

We were in Arrowtown and decided to stop here for dinner and a couple of drinks. Great choice, the pizza and chips were filling and well priced. Icing on the cake was the staff, enthusiastic and friendly. We we to to a place further up the street which was ok but these guys excelled themselves on hospitality

Great place with homely feel and wonderful country pub atmosphere! The food is very good , and there is an interesting and varied beverage menu. The inside tables are packed in and it can get noisy but is it a really nice space with an eclectic mix of its,s and pictures adorning the wall! The outdoor spaces are a great way to spend a warm summers day with friends.

I ordered the pork sandwich and it was AMAZING. Great selection of drinks and service was friendly too. My boyfriend ordered a pizza and he enjoyed it but was severely overpriced for what it was. Will be back!

Really enjoyed the outdoor, heated atmosphere. It was a cold night but felt cozy under the heat lamps with a cider. Loved the spicy jalapeños and the aioli on the jackfruit sandwich. The shoestring fries were so so good and seasoned really well. I am someone who usually enjoys the ketchup more than the chips but this time I hardly ate any ketchup- the chips were so good on their own. I was also starving which partially explains this raving review. I left very happy.

We love going to Fork and Tap. Although it's outdoors only at the moment while they're renovating and strengthening the main building, there are blankets, heating and cover to protect you from the elements. It's the perfect 'people watcher' spot. Pizza is beautiful (order extra cheese!) and the kumera chips is another favourite.

Recently refurbished so now back better than ever. Good pizza, chips of all varieties are great and other food is good too...oh yes...and one of the best selection of beers in the Queenstown area...and on the bus route!

A great place for lunch or dinner while visiting Arrowtown. Loved the pub atmosphere. Service was fast and very friendly. You order and pay at the bar, but the food is brought to your table. We ordered the pumpkin soup, haloumi salad, tap burger, and 3 hour roast. Everything was delicious!

Great customer service. Josh (I think) has been tremendous. The food is delicious, I had the spiced lamb and it's primo. The peppered chips comes out crispy, the best shoestring fries I ever had.

Family-friendly vibes at the Fork and Tap. We didn't order much to eat, so I can't rate based on meals, but the handcut chips with aioli and sauce were super crispy, and the kids' meals are very generous. Got a burger with cheese and fries for my child. Really well-fried patty with fresh, crispy lettuce and good quality tomatoes. Wasn't a huge fan of the lemon pepper fries being served with a kid's meal, but still went down okay when paired with the tomato sauce. Put some of their aioli with both hamburger and fries, and it was pretty darned good. They have two high chairs for use, if tour little one is able to sit upright but still needs to be closed in (no straps, so unsuitable before 8 months) a sheltered play area for kids, including a tree hut and a sandy area with a bunch of toy trucks and diggers. You get a relaxing atmosphere amongst the trees. The facilities are clean, and there is a change table.

Wonderful pub in a beautiful historic town. Very English setting. Great range of tap beers. Recommend the Arrowtown Pilsner which went perfectly with the Fish & Chips. Pretty decent serving. Very friendly staff.

The 3 of us enjoy a Meatlover’s pizza, a large bowl of fries, and a pint of Goldpanner’s Lager here for a late lunch today. The food is reasonably priced, and the pizza has plenty of meat, and a delicious smokey homemade BBQ sauce swirl on top. The shoestring fries are very generous, and come with both a yummy aioli, and tomato sauce. The barmaid is kind enough to offer a couple of tastes of some of the 18 or so craft beers that are on tap, and no one objects to my choice of beer, as it is actually pretty good. Friendly staff, tons of seating options, inside and out, an interesting interior that reflects some of the gold panning history of Arrowtown. And who can resist the cosy warmth of a roaring fireplace.

It's a kiwi pub, nestled in the heart of stunning historic Arrowtown. The little things make it popular with the locals, and tourists wanting a local feel: Great fish and chips, good size servings of everything, and a terrific range of LOCAL boutique beers. Service can get a bit slammed on busy sunny days, especially in the high season, but that's just an excuse for another beer in the sun. Take advantage of the mountain bike and dog parking out the front, settle in, and enjoy your afternoon.

Really great experience here! The barman was exceptionally friendly and offered me a range of IPAs to taste before I settled. The Halloumi salad was delicious - the halloumi had a smoky flavour due to (I expect) being cooked on the same grill as the meat, so if you are a Vegetarian Purist you may not be a fan, however it tasted delicious and really complimented the flavours of the salad which - dare I say it, almost tasted like a delicious Big Mac (the kind you always fantasise about before getting the actual thing and being disappointed) it left my mouth confused initially but then very happy!

Late June in Arrowtown. It was cold outside but warm and joyful inside. The band played in a casual way. Waiters were nice and friendly. Everything was great!

Fantastic selection of craft and normal beers, great staff and food very nice traditional pub loved it. This is how all pubs should a large beer garden in a historic location, knowledgeable and friendly staff. One of my favorite pubs in NZ I always visit on my frequent visits to Arrowtown.

Loved this friendly and welcoming bar. Although very busy when we arrived we were greeted immediately and found a table. The food was very good and there is a very wide selection of tap beers. All orders are taken at the bar as nd then food is brought to the table.a good system for a busy place. Staff are friendly and attentive so even though busy there is no waiting.

This is what a NZ pub should be like! Great drinks with some different varieties, cozy fireplace, nice outdoor seating, great staff and very tasty food. There were a number of different and delicious vegetarian and meat menu options that weren’t the usual deep fried food. The food is fast and well priced. We returned to eat here a number of times and were always impressed.

My fav pub. Great variety of boutique beers and really good local wines, all priced well. Great friendly service, fab food and a big family friendly outside area with big tables and big trees. Live music on Sunday afternoons.

Best bar food ever! The Spiced Merino Lamb Burger is fantastic. Wide selection of craft beers on tap. You won't be disappointed!

Absolutely marvelous food, salads, charcuterie, as well as a great selection of beer and wine, beautiful outdoor seating, and an incredible staff.

Love their crown range pizza my all time favourite. The staffs are really nice and very friendly. Nice atmoshphere. And pretty good place to have a beer and chill wid friends or alone.

This place is lit! They are the beer experts even though they don brew it in house. Staffa re extra knowledgeable and Maria in particular is amazing at guessing your taste after a couple of clues. Food is top notch too and is extra creative!

Carnivore pizza and pork sandwich were awesome. Great kids meals and desert's as well. Easily found at the end of the main shopping centre and tonnes of parking. Leave to he boys to have a beer while shopping..

Really lovely colonial food. Great atmosphere. There was some confusion with our order probs due to the hum of good conversation and it was refunded immediately without hesitation - I think the purest form of customer first. Everyone was super friendly, meals are generous and wine and beer selection is very very good. Colouring in for the kids and $10 kids meals plus playground make this excellent for families. Highly recommended and will be here again next time we're in Arrowtown.

Stopped in here for an early dinner and LOVED IT! Amazing instrumental band playing in the courtyard, leafy trees so we were shaded from the sun, ordered the fish and chips and the pulled pork sandwich and both were very generous portions, fresh and tasty. Service quick and friendly. Mixed crowd including a little kids area.

Great bar & eatery for after a day on the mountain. Cauliflower cheese was particularly comforting and a great choice of cider & beer.

Best and freshest blue cod we had in NZ. Beers options were extremely good and staff very knowledgeable and accommodating.

Myself and my mates down from Auckland had a great time here - the food was lovely and filling, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we were served by one of the loveliest waitresses I think I’ve ever had. A blonde lady from the UK, who had only just started skiing - thank you for making our night so enjoyable, our favourite night down south by far!

Very busy - and now that we've visited we understand! We were a party of four - we all found our lunches worthy of note. I had a vegetarian tagine ... which was delicious. We also decided their mulled wine as the best we had whilst in Queenstown/Arrowtown. The only reason I've given it a four star is that we had to wait a bit longer than I'd have expected for service at the beginning - but to be fair it was very busy.

We had drinks here in the outdoor temporary bar while the interior earthquake strengthening taking place. Outdoor heaters and super friendly staff make it all very conviviable.

The people here are the best! Such cheery faces and friendly help available in your choice of delightfully intoxicating brews set to tickle your lips with joyful flavours! The Irish manager was the coolest, and let us play cards while drinking and eating. Easy to get a table and the food is worth trying. We recommend the palate pot, and the cheese board! Pizzas aren’t bad either 👍 we’ll be back!!!

Great town and country pub. Actually in the middle of the lakes area is great to find a down to earth pub experience, much more relaxed than upmarket cafes and restaurants.

We had a great meal here. There’s a couple delicious vegan options, the green goddess salad and the black rice wrap on the lunch menu. Both felt very wholesome and we walked out feeling healthier than before we went in. They were kind enough to make the lunch wrap for us, even though we were there during dinner hours, which we really appreciated.

Amazing entertainment and very knowledgeable and friendly staff at the bar. I Had the pork belly burger and it was pure fat, almost no meat. My friend had the tab burger and it didn't taste as usual. The fish and chips were great.

Idea for a friday lunch in the garden, a real sun trap out there. I had a gluten free hot smoked salmon salad which was excellent. Really well balanced with a fresh flavour and crunchy fried capers for added texture. My husband had a pulled pork roll with fries. Also extremely tasty. I had a bit of the sauce which was sweet, tangy and silky. I would not hesitate to go back. A great cider on tap too.

Although the Fork and Tap was busy it was quick service at the bar and ordered food arrived quickly. Great selection of beer and other drinks available. Snack food for the table was great - ubiquitous chips, cheese platter with excellent cheeses, meat and pate platter. Live music rounded out a great afternoon.

The Fork and Tap is a victim of its own success as it is always popular with both the locals and visitors to Arrowtown. With great staff providing good service with a friendly smile. Great lunches and dinners and a small but wide selection of dishes including pizzas you will find something to your liking. Add to this a fine selection of wines and beers you will leave with a great deal of satisfaction. It is my favorite place.

Great pub, good range of beer, fabulous atmosphere. It's a must visit when I go to Arrowtown. Food is pretty good too. I'm not a fan of their pizza, but they seem popular with other people.

Nice place. We ordered four different dished and all were pretty good. Very well balanced and good quality. The chicken wrap has a juicy chicken, not the usual dry chicken breast. Polenta chips, simple and perfect. Fish and chips won't dissappint, it seems the oil is good and not overused. The salad we ordered had a good mix of veges, quinoa and other ingredients well balanced.

Quick last minute trip to Queenstown to meet up with some friends. We just had drinks which were all nice. Bar staff very friendly and professional as well as helpful. The barman knows his beers so answered my questions about the beer I wanted. We all sat outside which had a very relaxed atmosphere. next time we'll go there for a meal and enjoy the place for longer. Visited October 2015.

On a sunny day the garden bar can't be beaten. Perfect location for a cold drink after a hard hike in the nearby hills. Once the thirst is satisfied there are some hearty and healthy menu items to choose from. Take your time here, relax and soak up the atmos. It's a great vantage point for people watching as eventually everyone who visits town drives or walks past.

The place has a nice feel to it and the food looks good. The same kind of gastro BS that you get everywhere now but my friends that have eaten meals there recommend it. I only had some beer-battered fries while having some drinks and they were okay. The beer seems a little expensive but it's not surprising in Arrowtown, or anywhere close to Queenstown for that matter! They could do with getting some more lights for the outside seating area as it was very dark where we were sitting in the garden.

Maybe it was just an off day for them, but it took around 30 mins for some soup and the table next to us didn't get their burger and asked for a refund as they were there for nearly an hour. Flavours were ok. Good beer selection though.

Awesome food and beer to die for.

Prompt service from lovely friendly staffmembers. I have coeliac disease and they were extremely accommodating, and understood the need to minimise cross contamination in the kitchen. They also offered GF beer! We had a pizza and the baked Camembert - would highly recommend.

The food here is really creative for a puband they have an excellent range of drinks. It gets super busy at dinner time as it is the only real pub in Arrow Town. It is popular with locals as well as with tourists. Unfortunately we had a local drunk join our table for dinner and he shared some unwelcome racist opinions. The staff however were friendly and efficient.

This cafe was an accidental discovery for us while scrolling through the beautiful Arrowtown ❤️ fortunately it had Irish music night which happens every Wednesday 6.30-9pm..we had one of the best experiences of our NZ Trip..it was a lovely evening of goooood music and great food.. highly highly recommended 👍

Brilliant lively little pub, we ended up going almost every day after skiiing. Cosy and warm, great atmosphere, good food and friendly staff. Plenty of activity books and pencils to keep the kids happy - it was a big hit with our 6 year old!

been here a few times now and have not been let down. extensive draught beer selection - and a good one at that. food wasn't anything to write home about. but the beer garden in the afternoon is worth going for. loads of space, under the trees with a nice fenced off kids play area

We've had the Cod fish and the beef burger. The fish was average, its wasn't bad but nothing special to it. The burger was over done and had too little sauce in it, felt too dry. Their lemon & pepper fries are really good but their homemade tomato relish wasn't to my taste and it costs 1.5$, which is too much for a sauce.

Wow. 20 beers on tap, well ok 19, one is cider. Best IPA I've ever had. Tap burger bloody awesome, perfectly seasoned. Seafood chowder with toast amazing. Could eat it all day every day. All in the beautiful surroundings of Arrowtown. Couldn't ask for better. Lunch prices extraordinary for a tourist trap town. $100nz fed for of us including pints for two. Awesome. Everywhere else is in the poo now because 5 stars will be hard to get from me now. Simply the best pub grub and atmosphere I've ever experienced.

I like the ambience and the setup where you order at the counter. The beer selection is good and they let us taste to make sure we got something we liked. But the menu wasn't especially varied. I got the burger, which had a weird assortment of things that came standard on it. They didn't ask how I wanted it cooked and it came out well done--that may be legally required in New Zealand or something, but it's not good, and is a shame to do with their nice local beef. It was on a bun that seemed like what Dickensian novels call hardtack, which was annoying because the burger squeezed out the back when I tried to bite through the bun. I don't know why anyone serves shoestring fries, if I wanted those I'd go to McDonald's, although these were better than some because they were tossed in lemon pepper. My friend's salmon on pesto risotto was good, he didn't mind that it was raw rather than flaky. But they kept giving us the stink eye and collecting our dishes as we ate. They even came to get the salt and paper shakers as if it was closing time...except that it was 8:20. It seemed like a bunch of their friends were coming in to hang out; that's fine, but really, forcing paying customers out under those circumstances was really pretty tacky. I want to sit and enjoy my food, not be given the bum's rush before 9pm. There's plenty of parking. It's towards one end of Arrowtown town center, on the main street.

Large variety of NZ craft beers (approx 20 on tap). Knowledgeable staff that is interested and well versed in craft brews. Good vibe to go with decent food as well. I've been in this cool town for 24 hours and this is my 2nd visit to The Fork and Tap!!

the only place in Gatesville you'd go to eat as an enjoyable experience rather than a quick meal. small enough to be cosy but big enough to offer the best menu in town. prices were quite reasonable given this is the only quality restaurant in town so they aren't scalping that. if you're stopping on Gatesville give the chain shops a miss and try the Fork and Tap, it's pretty much the only memorable dinning experience in town.

Cozy ambience and friendly staff. Service was good but the food was just mediocre. We ordered pizza and a soup. On the bright side, The mulled wine is a definite win and a must have should you visit.

Fantastic! The "Tap Burger" is top-notch. I had Fergburger yesterday and this is hands-down the superior taste and texture. Beers on tap are great and they let you sample. Historic building with great ambience. Must eat in the Queenstown area!

This place had good choices of beer and food. I got a salmon special which was absolutely delicious. This place is good if you want a fancy dinner, but is overpriced. The ambiance is very nice too. Good place if you want to splurge.

The most amazing coconut dark Ale. Tap burger was brilliant and juicy. Cod was also a hearty serve and gorgeous! Definitely will return.

Very popular pub on a Friday night. Even had two people arrive by horse and tie their horses to the hitching post be for going inside for a.pint. full of locals which is always a good indicator.
