The drinks here were fantastic , with a wide range of alcoholic beverages as well as some fantastic mocktails. The drinks were bought out quickly and as a big group there was almost no difference between the rate at which they came out. However the feature that let them down was the unfriendliness of the staff. We kept getting side glances and when we got a drink on the menue confused due to a spelling error we got met with an eye roll. Not the best customer service how ever the drinks more than made up for it

Had a really great time here with my family the other day. Lovely staff, great food, awesome service. Topped up our water throughout, meal checked etc - very awesome to see as a hospitality worker ☺️ Makes me want to work there!!

Had Mother's day breakfast there was just amazing food was 💯 clean and very busy definitely go there again

We had a lovely night, exquisite food & great vibe. The flavor of the sauce on the bbq ribs was the best I've had in a while, the pork needed more crackling but the vegetables were great. Bookings essential as it was even busy on a Sunday night, & last time we didn't get a table. The service was friendly & attentive.

I chose this place based on menu options before I got out of motel. Entrance led to the bar area first. Staff was busy at bar but it didn't take long to be seated. It is nice and cozy atmosphere. The food is also very good and staff is making sure you have everything you need. This is another place where I will go back. If there one thing to change it would be the carpet but it is not a must.

Good menu, nice price range. I had the Chicken Burger which was a nice size, not too big, was very tasty. My hubby had Chicken Ceaser which was delish. Dessert was amazing!! We had the Meringue Stack and the cheesecake. Kids menu was pretty basic, could use a healthy dish on there, something with veges or a pasta. We went with a big party of over 25 so there was a wait on getting food, but that was to be expected. Good service from wait staff. Didn't seem to mind my toddler running havoc, only problem was she could run straight out the open bar doors on to the road. So not recommended for active toddlers who don't stay still.

My fish &chip meal wasn't fantastic.. but apparently everyone who had the steak loved it. I will review again once I try it. ...20/7/19 Just tryed the steak last night fantastic and very impressed with the desert drink. Worth 5 stars

Went there (first time) yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary and it went well. Food is delicious. We ordered steak, it was served with two sides..I also tried their chicken pasta puttanesca which is the pasta of the day. Definitely not over priced and service was fast and friendly, they have enough people yo serve lunch yesterday. Will be back soon with our kids.

Best food and coffee place in Ashburton! Friendly staff and usually a busy, popular spot for locals.

We arrived with no expectations and we were served a very enjoyable meal with great care taken by staff for our coeliac daughter. Charlotte waited on us and did a great job of the table service. The food was well presented and full of flavor. Overall a superb experience and one I would recommend to anyone. Cheers team! 🙂

The food is really good, but the wait times are pretty bad at the moment. But at least you don't need a reservation for Sunday lunch. All in all pretty happy with my experience

A lovely dining experience. We were a table of 9 and all our meals came out on time, the food was high quality and beautifully presented. It was so nice to have waiting staff that knew their job and gave cracking service. We highly recommend this restaurant

Absolutely beautiful scotch fillet steak! And the petite fours dessert was lovely to share. The restaurant was busy but no long wait for meals and our waitress was lovely. Definitely will go back!

Great restaurant/bar. The service was excellent, with the wait staff even going as far as to ensure no one had an empty glass (water or otherwise). The food was tasty. I found my burger to be a little bit small, but there was plenty of flavour and chips to compensate. The bar area had a nice indoor-outdoor flow too, making it a great spot for some drinks in the sun.

Was rather disappointed in service. My partner has pork spare ribs had to ask later for the water dipping bowl. Also no waitess came over to see if we wanted to see the desert menu. The place is looking very 😫 tired.

Not often I feel inclined to rate a restaurant, but this place was so good that I think it needs a semi-decent mention. While not my first visit, it was the first time I've sat down for a decent meal. The food was utterly brilliant. The steak was perfectly cooked at medium-rare as requested and the vegetable side I ordered cooked, like most vegetable sides admittedly, just right. And my gluten-free requesra were catered for. This has just become my favourite eatery is Ashburton! Dessert - recommend Banana Split!

Meal was good, but it took far to long to come to the table. Apparently we all had to wait because two people in our group ordered an entrée.

Dropped in for an early lunch on a Monday. The service was fantastic and the interior design was great. Lots of Edison bulbs... so you know it’s trendy. Jokes aside, the food was excellent. I had the fish and chips and they were very enjoyable - crispy and fresh. The others in my group had eggs benny and said it was ok. Pricing was reasonable.

Dined with a group of ladies this evening and what a fabulous experience 😊 The 16 of us all received our meals at the same time and the waitress was so helpful and friendly. Well done Cleavers all our meals were yummy and well presented....no complaints from the whole group. 10/10 keep up the good standard

Took my 85 yr old Mum here for lunch, mid week. The meals were lovely - good size for lunch, fish was fresh, prices were ok. Service was good and didn't wait long for our meals. Surprisingly busy for mid week lunchtime!

Great place to go for a meal with or without children. I recommend booking especially for busy nights (thurs, fri and sat) or if you have a group. We have been while they are really busy and seating has been found for the 2 of us. Food is delicious, they are allergen friendly and the taste of the food is not compromised when catering for allergies and intolerances. They are children friendly and staff are very friendly. There is a wheelchair accessible entrance and facilities, they have high chairs for littlies and a childrens menu for children to eat.

Very accommodating for an out of town party of 11. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Will definitely stop again.

Had chicken dish which was very nice. Daughter had lamb shanks but they were nothing special. Not a lot of choice compared to other restaurants but ok. Just nothing special or outstanding.

We came here with friends for breakfast. Their sausage is super spicy chorizo which I couldn’t handle and the omelette was flat but made up for this with flavour.

I thought Cleavers corner was absolutely fabulous the place was booked out but they let me and my children sit in anyway we got served fast and the meals were delicious . Thanks heaps my children were well impressed.
