I still love to enjoy my quick lunch and dinner in this Cantonese style restaurant. The portion is big enough to feed two people at the same time. Only, because of the living cost is getting higher and higher, no more fee soup provided.

Lovely place located just off Aotea Square. Simply put best Cantonese food joint around Queens St. Give it a shot if your vaxxed and have a empty stomach... 😉 Seriously look at the plate it's glistening aha

My go to place when I don't feel cooking for myself. Hard to beat price, good quality and always open. My fav is their stir fried chicken with crispy noodles. Yum. Give them 4 here just because the cleanliness of the venue otherwise it'd have been 5.

Very centralized location, delicious BBQ meat with rice and a bowl of soup. Served very quickly. The waiter was nice. The hot soup was served immediately, it was nice to smooth my throat before my meal. I order 3 combinations of BBQ meat: crispy pork, honey pork and roasted duck. They gave me a whole duck drum stick. There were soy sauce on the table you can add on the BBQ meat! Yummy! I couldn’t wait before I took a photo.

Stopped by for a late night meal after a movie. The menu was fairly large with plenty of options. We shared a Peking Duck, crispy chicken and beans with pork mince between three people. The servings were quite good and the price was quite cheap. You can get a discount voucher for your next meal if your meal costs over $50. Nice place for cheap tasty food.

Best Peking Duck in Auckland. Half Peking Duck, a plate of vegetables and 2 beers for $59.00 - Pretty good deal for a dinner for two in Auckland CBD. The consistency here is great. Always superb service and quality food with nice customer service. usually very fast service too. My partner and I go here regularly over many years. I highly recommend a visit.

Crazy busy all the time both with customers here to dine in or take out. However, nothing shows the kitchen down, from table service too kitchen and cashier, everyone's so efficient yet friendly and attentive! Affordable dishes and even more affordable for take outs. Large portions, really tasty food! No need to recommend they're busy enough already.

If you want to have Chinese food and a quick meal, this place is a good choice. Its location is very central and convenient. The restaurant is quite big and roomy from the CBD perspective. Waiters are attentive, service is good. I ordered BBQ pork and roast pork on rice. The portion is quite big and they taste good. However, the gravy/sauce is a bit salty. Other than that, it is a good meal.

One of my favorite place in Auckland, the food is delicious and very money-valuable. Of course the best here is the Peking Duck who has an amazing taste! The menu is big and you have heaps of choices of very good food!

Very big portion sizes. Was good place for eating as a vegetarian. Server was so nice and polite.

Great value of combo deal, including sweet and sour pork, soup, rice, fried pak Cchoi with oyster sauce and two choices of bbq meat. I regularly go there for this combo deal and as the quantities are so generous, so always take away the leftovers. Delicious!

My go to takeaway place 😍.. absolutely love their BBQ pork (not overly fatty and perfectly seasoned). Being Malaysian I always have my BBQ pork with wantanmee 干捞面.. closest tasting to the ones we have back in msia... Update Good Friday 2018, loved that they were opened on Good Friday with no surcharge 😍😍

Fried rice and Crispy pork is the best. Peking duck is so so but not bad for its price. You can expect good foods and awful services.

The food here is pretty good with some quick service.

The Peking duck is delicious and comes in a very generous serving with plenty of duck meat attached to the crispy skin and oodles of cucumber and spring onions. We also ordered the Peking spare ribs, which were good, beef in black bean sauce and kai lan (which had an inordinate amount of stems!) Would definitely return for the Peking duck.

Food was reasonably priced for the huge portion. Not the best Spicy Chicken (D2. la3 zi3 ji1) compared to what I had tried in many countries and China (origin) but its fine. Guess it’s NZ version. They were flexible to charge me lesser for the lesser portion of Crispy Roasted Pork (being late evening and insufficient for the regular portion). Strange, but not always flexible in some restaurants, they would give reason such as “register would not recognize such order”. There was free carrot and seaweed soup and it was delicious. Service was efficient. Young looking Chinese lady was sweet and polite. However, the card device did not recognize or approve my foreign debit card transaction like how Chatime did for a $6.50 charge. So instead of $52, I had to pay $1.56 extra just for using credit card (total of $53.56). Guessing they did not charge me for the take-away boxes, so it’s a bonus.

Food: a good variety of different Chinese dishes and snacks/small-eats. You can ask for soup for free to cleanse your palate. Price: Reasonably priced for its portion. Atmosphere: Good spacing. If you want to dine as a bigger group, it's better to go to other bbq duck places around the CBD. Customer service: Here is where the bad things come... I feel like the most important top requirement to be a FOH staff here is to have a super unfriendly attitude. They all look super cold and unwelcoming... Honestly, this is the place with the worst customer service around Auckland 😂 I've been other branches of BBQ Duck and they're all very nice...

I have been to here many times, but today feel unhappy. I ordered a soup have here and asked for a takeway too. Then I was told by a man it’s not allowed to have the takeaway here, you can only have the soup here, it’s a very strange rule. Let me feel they want to send me away, even if they still have many spare seats. Flavor and price is ok. But today’s service is not pleasant

The Peking Duck was delicious! It's meat was tender and moist, and the skin was crisp and light. I'm definitely going to go back there.

Overall good for quick meal or a cheap Chinese meal . Combo for two is worth it. The noodle dishes doesn’t seem worth it, didn’t look or taste very good

This is a great place from their service to their Chinese BBQ standard! The two waitress are the soul in this restaurant, very welcoming and happy! The portion of food was satisfied and taste was great! Price was reasonable $16 - $20 for one I have returned for the second time! and I will definitely go back when I miss Chinese BBQ. Keep up with your good job!

Highly recommended. Great food. Huge servings for a very reasonable price. For the food we ordered, which was quite plenty, the bill cost us about 100nzd. They gave us 10nzd coupon for it that we can use on our next meal with them. Looking forward to our next visit to this place.

Been to BBQDC on so many occasions and done quite a few UberEats during work hours! Never disappointed, the quality of the food and portion sizes are great! The price is definitely a steal, they staff there are really accommodating for everyone’s dietary requirements.

Affordable, quick and excellent value for money. Really satisfies a roast duck craving. Hot Tea and soup was served on arrival and the staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend if you're after a lunch for between $10 and $20. We ordered a 2 person roast special and there's enough leftovers for a 2nd lunch!

Got the the roast pork and BBQ pork on rice for $15. Large serving and roast pork was tasty and crunchy. BBQ pork wasn't as good but all and all an enjoyable meal. Friendly and helpful hosts. Will return.

I buy from here a couple of times a week and love the bbq pork and crispy pork on rice. Also regularly get the Choy Sum in oyster sauce. All very very good. You get a good amount of food for what you pay too. Have tried a few other dishes but they were quite bland. Service has always been very very good even during hectic service times.

A non-nonsense place for eating Peking duck, BBQ duck, or roast duck on an affordable budget. The staff is sparse and polite and make sure you always have a place to sit - even in the busy periods through the day. The menu is diverse with plenty of offerings for people who would prefer chicken, lamb, pork, or beef instead. There is usually a dish of the day, which is a cheap takeaway option if you want some quick Chinese food on the go. The display of ducks they have in their see-through kitchen shows how fresh their stock is and there is plenty to love about their rather wide selection of beverages. They also have some fine combos if you plan to visit with your friends - this is a joint that is good for small groups. A fix for all those Chinese food cravings in the CBD, I might add.

The service was incredible, friendly people, and the food was equally as amazing. It was the first time in such a long time my family have gone out together to eat, and our experience was enjoyed so much on so many levels. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. We left with nothing but a full stomach, full heart, and a smile on our face.

A central place for standard if not slightly pricy Cantonese style Chinese food. The wait staff tend to be sub par, perhaps due to being overworked and underpaid students. Case in point, I asked for water and the first staff ignored/forgot about it, then the second staff when asked again delivered it to the wrong table. If you're not expecting more than pointing at items on a menu and get what you ordered, it should be okay.

Reliable duck meals, and more besides. Free bone broth with your order. High turnover of customers ensures fresh ingredients, for the most part. Service is quite snappy too. Vegetable sides will often be substituted when certain items run our (for example, broccoli or cabbage for bok choy), which is fine for me. Have been a customer for years - and now they have a second branch on Queen's Street. Great.

I think the best tasting and value asian shop around town. Food service is fast. Place is tidy but with limited seats during busy period. The roast duck and roast pork is my favourite. They also provide soup appetizer if you're into asian soups. Otherwise you can always ask for some tea. Recommended.

Decent sized dishes at reasonable prices but didn't find anything particularly outstanding in terms of the quality of cooking. Ordered the stirred beef brisket noodles which was a bit lacking in flavour and the stir fried black pepper beef with rice which was a bit tastier.

Went in today and had the peking duck.Best Peking duck I have had in Auckland and probably in NZ.Skin was crisp and flavourful owing to the spice ,meat was fatty and moist and not a single bone.Portion sizes were massive for the amount charged.I would say the prices were very reasonable.Had the seafood noodle soup and fried green beans.The order was for 2 but we could not manage to finish it all.Green beans were crunchy and had a great garlic and chilli flavour which was subtle.Noodle soup was great also fresh ingredients such as prawn,scallop,fish not overly fishy the balance in flavours in all the food we had was great.Would highly recommend this place. The other thing I was grateful for was that they offered a $5 coupon off for the next visit.Thank you for the great food today.

Really good and authentic Asian food. Priced really reasonably and the portion sizes are bigger than most other restaurants. Often go there for their "1 meat with rice/noodle" meal.

It's been years since I lived in New Zealand but I still recommend this place to everybody I know who asks me for a good place to eat in Auckland. That Peking duck is just to die for. Great value and comes with all the odds and ends you want with a great Chinese meal!

Average service and food quality but little bit over price although still affordable. Set menu 14.5 with soup or tea is recommend. You can not expect to have real and pure Chinese food in this country but it is good enough to try.

We're European locals have lived in Lorne Street. It's never let us down in the last 5 years. Great food....Service is good but just be wary that when it is very busy there can be a wait. You know a Chinese food place is good when it full Chinese locals :)

I absolutely love this place, there are not many places left in the CBD like it. The smell from outside the shop just forces you to walk in and order. It's the best BBQ pork I have had in Auckland in a very long time.

Great food, the daily special is always a good and cheaper option. The staff do however, eat their dinner at around 9pm everyday so going there around that time will leave you waiting for a while before being served.

Love the BBQ meats selection on rice for $15, one of the best quality BBQ Pork x Crispy Pork x Soy sauce chicken options I've had, and definitely the best I've had in Akld.

A huge menu range for both dining in and takeaway, and huge portions starting at $11 for mains! Awesome value for money, would recommend booking ahead if you have a large group with you though!

Best Peking duck ever in town

I had a chicken noodles with veggies ask for medium spices but they make extra extra hot. Not so happy ☹️.

the colour of their soy sauce chicken is a bit odd, to be honest. perhaps due to artificial colouring. have some concerns about that. Perhaps it is an one-off incident and I will still come back for other dishes.

Great place to have Cantonese style food. Love their beef steak with black bean sauce on Rice. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We ordered the roast duck on rice, and it was amazing. Very tasty duck, large serving size (we got a lot of duck) and it was cheap too!

Nice small restaurant, the Pekin Duck is excellent, we took also Rice with porc but the porc wasn't good.
