I ah e had a lovely lunch here of crumbed oysters with a nice truffle dip. I got a side of chips but it was huge so could not eat it all but they were very good I enjoyed my coffee and the fact that the music was in the background and not overbearing. Highly recommend. Cost $$-$$$ depending on what you have.

I have visited here twice and have had excellent service. Great menu and food especially the chicken waffle tower which was delicious and highly recommended. It's not on the breakfast / lunch menu but ask and they will be fine with you order it at that time. Great location with good parking.

Great hidden gem. Very delicious dishes which change every month = reason to visit again. Professional and fast service. Nice and clean environment. Enough free parking in front of restaurant.

I’m looking forward to visiting this place in summer. There are loungers and umbrellas facing Orakei Basin that will be perfect for some rose and nibbles. Instead we visited on a wintry day that had us waiting in the car until a hail shower passed. Inside was a refuge from the weather with a comforting menu and good wine list. Very knowledgeable service too. The place has an industrial yet cosy feel with some impressive pieces of wood forming table tops. My husband declared the salmon Benedict his new favourite. My salmon power bowl was a healthy and tasty option. We might need a few more winter visits before taking a lounger in the summer.

The beef power bowl is powerless. The expectation has built as menu mentioned eye fillet, avo, black rice, truffle soy sauce , pineapple and all other nice ingredients. While it came with sliced marinated beef, canned pineapple, soggy rice(not many black rice though), yolk is only light cured, and didn’t see or taste truffle soy sauce. Also the Portion size not so powered. Apart from the food, service is great and the interior and decor are very stylish.

I've been to Orakei village many times but didn't know this awesome place was tucked away at the back! Came here for breakfast with a friend and everything was on point and fantastic. Service was good and the server we had was friendly. I had the mushroom bruschetta with extra bacon, everything was tasty and every component well prepared. I'm sure the bacon is house made because it is quite thick and better than bacon you get at other cafes. My friend had the eggs benedict and the potato with rice pop base was fantastic. It was a hot day so the iced mocha went down very well with the food! Will definately be coming back here more often for breakfast.

Wow, what a lovely evening we had. Staff was amazing accommodating our large crowed with superb service. The kitchen did an exceptional job serving delicious food. The salmon was cooked to perfection, the oysters, Asian slaw, chicken, squid and waffles were just all perfection. Thanks for making our evening such a success. Will be back, and can't wait to experience the lovely outdoor space on a nice sunny day this spring and summer. 5 star all around. 👍

The food and service was excellent, it’s a great spot, especially if you went there for a long lunch or an even longer dinner! Everything well done, one note, sit further away from the kitchen because the extractor fan is quite noisy

Tucked away a bit from the hassle and bustle, well worth finding these guys. Versatile kitchen with morning/ day menu as well as night menu. Not many like this one :)

Thank you team for a really enjoyable evening out. Your service was great with Great food recommendations. The Korean chicken was amazing as was the pork belly and asian slaw. Prawn skewers, great presentation and blue cheese sauce was very yummy. However, I felt the prawns could have been a better caliber of prawn they let the dish down just a bit. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, truffle fries what a great idea. Wine was delicious. Will be back to try more.

So good! Went last night and had a great time. Brand new and it's worth a visit - the menu is seasonal, will change each month, and I look forward to seeing what February's menu will be. Front of House, Jesse is warm and welcoming and really knows the menu well. The star dish for me was the Korean chicken - punchy flavours and no bones, so gorgeously sticky. I hope that is there when I next go. The mushroom dish was great, as were the cauliflower and the broccolini. We had a great night out and will definitely be back. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Tucked away behind Kings Plant Barn. Very good restaurant, good menu - I had tasty salmon. Food is fresh - much bought from Farro’s nearby. You can see the cooking - clean, friendly and dedicated. Trendy and intimate decor. Charming and committed owner who is keen to offer excellence. Perfect for lunch and dinner. Sit outside in summer.

Staff greeted us warmly and were very welcoming. tables are stunning wood, rustic and comfortable. hubby chose the oysters crumbed and scallops which were delicious. I had the farro salad off hubbys plate which was amazing. we both shared the chicken - a Korean dish which was so yummy. I also ordered the chicken sliders which was the most delicious little burger I've ever had. we found out too that they have only been open one week and hope we can get a table next time as this place is going to be very busy in the future.
