Went in for lunch. Ordered chole bhature and mataar paneer with puri. Was delicious! Too much food for 2 adults. Had to take some home. Friendly staff too! Will definitely be back 😊

Good quality food. Clean utensils and restaurant. Nice customer service. Fast service. Best sambar served among all the other Indian restaurants in Auckland, You can actually see vegetables in it. Both South Indian and Indian coffee was served With chocolate powder dashes on top which was not really authentic and the aroma you get is chocolate powder and not the strong coffee taste or smell.

Delicious Indian food and sweets. Choley bhaturey and Saag with makki di roti are a standout dishes for us. There are a lot of menu options. Ample parking space and lovely staff as well.

We usually go to this place for a quick bite of Chole Bhature and samosa chat. While we like what we eat, there's scope of improvement in terms of overall taste. Also, the quantity of Chole gravy is less for the 2 bhaturas served. The Thali we tried tried had good variety of dishes and quantity is good too, but the Chinese fried rice and Manchurian served was below-par.. Prices could be cheaper by $2, especially the North Indian main dishes. Make sure to get the best of the daily specials, though.. Overall, a nice place to spend your $40 for a small family dinner..

The food quality is okay and quality is less too. You can have have Any of the Indian street food, like Chat, Samosa chat, Pav Bhaji and many more things along with sweet dish.

It’s one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Auckland. The staff are really friendly. You like info Chinese, western pizza/pasta, south indian, north indian, you have a variety of dishes to choose from. I would definitely recommend this for any one looking for tummy filling food. And additionally, you have freshly made sweets too to choose. They could improve on the service time. It takes too long for your order to arrive.

OmG! This place is just super awesome. If you like vegetarian Indian food and snacks, this is a must go-to place. They have the most amazing menu with lots of options and believe me each item is worth a try. I tried pao bhaji, American chopsey, chole bhatura, kulcha, soya chaap, saag+makki roti, kulfi faluda, shikanji, faluda drink. All the the food and drinks were absolutely yummy. Totally worth the price and portions were generous too. I would love to go there again when I visit Auckland next time. If you haven’t tried their food you are missing out. Give this place a try, they will surely have something on the menu that you will like.

Odd that briyani rice isn't on the menu but I asked and they said they could cook it. It was a good portion for $12 and it didn't look very appetising but thankfully tasted better than it looked. However, the lady behind the counter wasn't very friendly.

Just one thing to the owner I have seen that you replying to all the positive comments and don’t write back to negative comments. Do reply them and improve from that. I love this food and I'm not vegetarian. Today I tried a Madras coffee n I am a tea drinker. Delicious, and only $15 with Masala Dosa. Its more than good value, its an affordable treat. Which in a time where rents are skyrocketing and wages are stagnant in comparison. Its a pleasant diversion and a healthy meal.

If you're South African Indian some of their sweetmeats might not be familiar to you. We did not enjoy them. I had asked if savoury snacks were spicy, was told there were not, but they were. To be fair, what is 'spicy' is a generally a personal opinion. Good customer service.

Since discovering Bikanervala aout 3 years ago I now go there at least once per fortnight! Great authentic vegetarian Indian food mixed with some western variations (pasta etc). Even as a meat eater I often come here, the food is really good.

Never disappointed with their Chole Bature. One of the finest we have in NZ, much better than the one in Mt Roskill. Try their chat, rasmalai and sarson ka saag-makke di roti, they are all lip smackingly delicious 😋

My friend told me while having dinner last night that the food reminded her of her mum's cooking so I guess it is safe for me to say that they do have the authentic "home-made" Indian taste on their cuisine. You were warned. 😄 But if you can get past that, you will certainly have a great time tasting authentic Indian food and street food you can't get elsewhere in NZ. Huge variety of Indian vegetarian dishes. No other Indian restaurants in NZ have this much variety. Their Chole Bature is really good. All their dishes expect (South Indian dishes) tastes really good. Service can be better and the weekend buffet is not something I would go back again for.

However, recently the price seems to have gone up. with this I think even though the food is good, it is less worth for the price. Because there are many more Indian restaurants in Auckland with lesser price and great quality like Saravana bhavan and Dosa plaza..This is my personal opinion.

This place offers you lip smacking Indian food. I was happy with my first visit. I ordered palak kofta, naan, makke di roti n sarso da saag..I was lil doubtful if the kofta had dry fruits in it..but no! The kofta was surprisingly yummy! Makke di roti and sarso the saag was up to mark! The sweet part was they had served a small piece of "Gur" along with the makke di roti. We had a homely feeling over there and m looking forward to check out their rest of the menu....😘 Oh yes....the gulab jamun was heaven..😍 Disappointment 👎 The tandoori momos were not as per the expectations..but it was all covered up by the scrumptious food that we had..
