T.Amazing service and staff. They always have prompt service and accommodate you if they can for walk ins but it is best to book as it is a small restaurant. Definitely try the lemon meringue pie it's the best I've ever had. Pasta is delicious, as is the pizza. What's best is that because of how wonderful the owners/ staff are it feels like family which extends to how customers talk to each other as well. Is one of our new favorites to go too.
J.This my favorite Italian location in Auckland. The space gives you the intimacy vibe you'd expect when in a small eatery in Italy.
The menu has all the great choices and flavors will leave you full and eager for your next visit.
The family run business also lends to the family feeling and we love that they greet me and my guests by name, smile and Italian kisses on the cheek just like family.
N.This has become our favourite restaurant! Portion sizes are great, food is delicious and service is friendly!! Highly recommend the creamy pesto based pasta dishes, it's so different to anything I've tried, love it!

B.We ordered takeout via MenuLog - the food was delicious and delivered hot, and the customer service was excellent.
The only issue we had was that MenuLog confirmed the order and charged our card when the store had no record of it. After the estimated delivery time had passed, we called the store only to be told they didn't know anything about it and by this time we had been waiting quite a while for the food.
Nevertheless, whilst this was a disappointment to hungry people, the store quickly remedied the problem by calling MenuLog on our behalf and sorted it out, and 30mins later we were happily eating.
Well done Bona Pizza for rectifying this even though MenuLog dropped the ball. We will be back again for sure!
M.I just love this place! The food is always great, no matter what you order. The serving sizes are big, and for good reason! You just cannot get enough once you have started.
The service was great too. I would definitely recommend Bona Pizza, whether it's a date with a loved one or a group of friends catching up. The location is great too with lots of car parks around in the busy suburb of Ponsonby.

G.Huge shout out to Bona Pizza in Ponsonby, Auckland. They have become our go-to over the last few years (hard to find a restaurant/take out that the whole family can agree on). Their food is always super delicious, and consistantly awesome. They cater so willingly and capably for our coeliac daughter, which is so reassuring.
J.Walked past the most amazing smell and had to stop for dinner. The seafood special pasta is absolutely to.die for, it's the best pasta ice had from a restaurant for a little while. Sauce was creamy and tomato based at the same time!

A.All I can say that we've been coming to this family restaurant for 12 years. The service is always impeccable and the food is simply delicious. You should try their Venezia pizza with cranberry sauce and have some Irish coffee. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very cosy and you can relax inside on a cold winter night.
V.I stumbled upon Bona Pizzeria completely by accident, and a happy accident it was.
I have now eaten here several times and every visit has been a pleasure. Bona is a cute little Italian place with a nice selection of pizza, pasta and other dishes on the menu. The staff are welcoming, friendly and efficient.
The restaurant itself has its own special ambience, warm and comfortable, but not cramped. There is seating available outside as well. Prices and portion sizes are both very reasonable.
I have now had the chance to try quite a few of the dishes on offer and have been thoroughly impressed. I am more than happy to recommend Bona Pizzeria to anyone who finds themselves looking for an Italian meal in Ponsonby. An added bonus is parking is seldom an issue down this end of the road.
