In the heart of Auckland City where they are located a nice place to go and eat. Comfortable sitting and service is excellent. A choices of menu listed and the servings are fulfilling. But u need to keep some space for dessert which is mouth watering too. All is so beautifully dished. Cheers to the New Year 2022 for we ended our 2021 out there. Too good not to be missed. We even forgot we were in the city with the hustle and bustle outside. 😊

My husband and I came here for dinner to celebrate our Anniversary and everything was flawless. The cocktails, entrees, mains & dessert were all outstanding. We highly recommend the wagyu gyoza for entree! For the main, my husband had the lamb rack cooked medium rare and said it was the best lamb he's ever had, I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. We look forward to dining here again in the future!

Great experience at Botswana today, the waitress is very friendly, the food is great, and the environment is nice and cosy. You will be asked for Vaccine pass upon entry. Highly recommended if you are a meat lover or just looking for a nice environment to catch up with friends and families.

Four of the five dishes we had were outstanding with the other being slightly affected by the lack of venison availability. (Venison was substituted with beef for the carpaccio).
The Wagyu and Bone Marrow Gyoza was the star of the show for us with the Deconstructed Yuzu Meringue Tart a close second.
This was close to a 5-star review, but we were seated on the deck outside and affected by the exhaust fumes from some of the ferries - will book a table inside next time.

Had a 4 course meal on New Years Eve - absolutely delicious but by the 4th course (cheese board) was so stuffed - well worth the money and a visit : )

My partner and I went out for a delayed valentines dinner and Botswana Butchery is definitely worth it, especially when it comes to the service. I mean the food was lovely but service is always a big contributing factor and it was amazing 🥰 will happily suggest this place to others and return again one day. Thank you so much for such a pleasant night out!

Unassuming restaurant at the ferry terminal with an incredible menu of decadent meat and seafood options. Highlight was the beef short rib with a sweet smoky glaze. The meat was pure, tender, melt-in-your-mouth decadence. I also enjoyed the humble macadamia loaf with an incredible spread of butters. We tried the bone marrow truffle butter (not pictured), which had a beautiful unctuous texture. The beef tartare was rich and well accompanied by an assortment of pickles. The Caprese salad served as a light break from the decadence. The creamy mozzarella was fresh and the right temperature to bring out its subtle flavour. Lovely service by our bubbly, friendly waitress.

Beautiful setting with great food. Unfortunately we chose to go on NYE and waited ages to be seated despite having a reservation (the hostess took about 10minutes to assist). No one served us for about another 20mins and when we tried to get the hostess' attention she was very rude, responding that she was not a waitress and had to attend to the front of house. Another waitress stepped in to assist our table and apologized for the poor service.

Unfortunately it seems like standards have slipped here, we went last night and my medium rare steak was cooked "medium well" (very on its way to being well done), though the sides and our starters were all very tasty. We then waited over 30 minutes for them to bring our dessert order of a creme brûlée. Our server was absolutely lovely and while they did comp us the steak and the dessert, you definitely just want to be able to dine without the awkwardness of having to inform wait staff that there are problems going on, so it does just wreck the vibe a bit when these kinds of issues happen during a meal. The staff were so lovely and it's a gorgeous spot in the old ferry building but yeah just unfortunate about the problems with food and service times to get dessert. (The creme brûlée itself had a rubbery texture so was not well executed either)
