Eating here is always a vibe. The food is so authentic, the auntie is so lovely (she knows more about how much u should eat than you do) and the atmosphere is great.
Would recommend to anyone wanting malaysian food in akl. Fave place to go to for malaysian.
Only thing is that you need to book

I have been to Bunga Raya a few times and never once I would give less than 5 stars!
The service is amazing always warm and welcoming, loves auntie Rita's energy! Food were delicious, my favourite among the homemade tofu, butter prawn, and xo squid, and hainan chicken, oh well maybe everything in the menu really is delicious. The serving size is also quite big so always bring more people with you or your own takeaway containers (you will need it!)
Really good place for catch up and we glad we chose Bunga Raya for the first lunch out after 108 days.

We moved from the Gold Coast to Auckland and haven’t found a Malaysian restaurant we liked until now.
So happy we found you and ordered our favorite dishes, you had everything we love.
Portions generous, prices very fair and the atmosphere was great.
The staff were friendly and good service.
Pleased its close to us and we will be back, tonight brought our friends who were also very impressed.

Some of the better Malaysian food in Auckland, highly recommended. The owners are so friendly and provide great service which adds to the whole experience. My favourite is the Char Koay Teow but everything is pretty good.

My family and I have been frequent customers over the past decade. The food here is comforting and the family that runs the business are very friendly. Highly recommend the XO dishes (especially the squid) and for vegetarians, the soft tofu with satay sauce.

For sure, one of Auckland’s best Malaysian restaurants. More reflective of Malaysian Chinese food, given the availability of pork and certain dishes on offer. Go for the XO Squid and Oatmeal Shrimp. Don’t like seafood? Then their Beef Rendang is excellent.

First time there! The food was authentic! Service was great and the owners is happy to recommend dishes. Big sized servings. 3 dishes was more than enough for a family of 4. We had enough for takeaways too! Thinking about going back again soon!

First time dining here and we love this place! Reminded us of the Chinese restaurants back in Malaysia. Came here specifically for the sizzling tofu and it didn’t disappoint. It was so silky.
The XO prawns and the wonton soup was delicious. Can’t wait to try their other dishes. Staff were so friendly and inviting.

First time here last week. Just look at the other reviews - they are right. Very clean, amazing and personal service, food is authentic and wholesome. Relaxed vibe. Good value and great flavours. Highly recommended.

So delicious food! We had the oatmeal prawns, home made tofu and 3mixed veges, and everyone enjoyed their meal! The kids who are fussy eaters loved it too. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. One of our friends joined us unannounced and can only have gluten free food. The proprietor was able to make a quick call in informing the chef to use gluten free flour to cook when she found out at the last minute. I haven't been to Bunga Raya in years but I can see the owners have very loyal returning customers and they are all on a first name basis with their regulars. This just shows you how not all Asian restaurants have bad service. Bunga Raya DEFINITELY has good service and great food! 👍
