Staff were very friendly and helpful - I was in a rush and was asking about the order times for different things, they started making the order before I had even paid so I could get to an appointment on time. Really appreciate the little things like this ! Didn’t even have to ask. Food was also so incredible - really flavourful and tasted so good. Prices were not bad at all for the quality of the food. Completely the opposite of over processed fast food everything was perfectly cooked and tasted so fresh. 10/10 would recommend and come again Thanks guys I really appreciate what you’re doing

Wasn't hungry enough for a burger at the time but the sides are so good, between 2 we shared the bacon and cheese bites and Mac n cheese bites, fries and onion strings. There seems to be a lot of pepper on things which was on only down fall of the sides. I ended up ordering wings to take home with the honey and Sriracha sauce. They were amazing! Will definitely be going back to try the burgers, if they're good it'll be an upgrade to 5 stars.

As a smash burger enthusiast I like the idea of this place but the atmosphere is a bit lacking and they need a new bun supplier. Really my biggest complaint is just that they use those brioche buns that seem to instantly deflate and have no real substance. A denser, more chewy bun would turn this place from a 3 to a 4.5 in my books. At least they have reasonable prices

Burger Geek. Catchy name, but their quality shouts volumes! I have not had better smashed beef patties, ever! The burger fillings complement that savoury yummy-ness. Great buns! Their onion rings, jalapeño poppers, and rosemary fries are ALWAYS crunchy, crispy, and appropriately seasoned. I have consistently delicious food at all times of the day when a burger fix needed BURGER GEEK.

I am not a burger person but Burger Geek probably is the best burger I have tried in Auckland! Next time I would like to have some hot wings. By the way I like their Bishop Wagyu beef burger.

First time at this small burger joint for lunch today. Had probably the best burger and fries combo I've ever had in my life. The fries were exceptional, the Raynor(?) burger the same. Really seriously good. Only drawback is that if you ate this every day you probably wouldn't survive the month. But once a week is ok eh?

The burger was ok, definitely tried better in Auckland. The fries were not crunchy and the aioli is really liquid, feels like I'm dipping into pure oil, probably not whisked enough when preparing. The highlight was definitely the croquettes which were really tasty and well seasoned. If I ever go back would order just croquettes.

Swanson burger was a good one,patties cooked perfect and lots of flavour, could ask for a bit more salt tho. Burboun sauce was good with the crispy onion strings. Fries was crispy and nice..very bland and thin Aioli tho..not a hit! Would def come back!

I only ordered the mustang burger but found it a bit salty for my liking . I prefer to be given the option to wait or not if they are busy instead I waited 30mins for 1 burger . Also didn’t like the small print and extra charge for paywave and didn’t even know what I was going to be charged as no details . Delicious patties, buns were perfectly grilled, sauce content was *chef's kiss* perfection. The macaroni bites were average, good but nothing special. The jalapeño poppers were some of the best I've had in Auckland. I ordered the Swanson burger and it was an immensely tasty experience; my only complaint is that the last few bites get very salty.

Burger Geek is serving some of the best burgers in Auckland. I highly recommend the 'Raynor' if they are offering it - an angus and wagyu beef double cheese smash pattie that is burger perfection...topped with bacon, hashbrown, chipotle aioli, lettuce, and tomato sauce this burger is sure to be one of the best you've had. Indoor and outdoor seating for groups of 4-6 at each table.

This place is great! I have been here twice now. Had both the Krabby and the Swanson and both were amazing. Great to find a place that serves burgers that are great value for money and taste delicious. The beef patties they use taste like real meat, so juicy and full of flavour! The menu is small but this I think allows for each burger to be made and cooked to perfection. There is also a great lil range of sides and drinks to match with your burger of choice. Will definitely be back for more soon!

We visited BurgerGeek in the early evening of Saturday during the easter weekend, the front of the store is well kept and simple with two tables in front of a counter/bar with the kitchen behind. We ordered a bunch of food, the Dr Pepper BBQ Wings, the Onion Strings, Taco Egg Rolls, Fries and a Swanson burger ... BurgerGeek is geared towards takeaway food (which is totally fine) so we received a bag with our food and we sat down to eat it. OH. MY. GOD. I've been to many, many burger places, I've eaten at 'famous' burger joints in Texas, I've eaten burgers in LA, I've tried many places in Auckland, but nothing .. I mean nothing prepared me for how tender, no, how delicious this burger was. the burger muses of form and taste met together in an orgy of flavorful, melt in your mouth goodness. Angus beef patties that were cooked to perfection, bacon crisp, sauce that was complimentary to the entire ideal. BurgerGeek. honestly? you won't regret it, and if you do regret it, Darwin will turn his back on you.

When you pass a burger bar that has one called the Swanson after Ron, you can't ignore it. It was delicious and for the competitive price for burger joints, this has entered my Auckland top 5. Don't for a second think the freshly-made tasty and juicy burgers are for geeks only. Well, if you are a geek then you'll likely have a chuckle or two as you'll be able to relate to the menu! I've been to many burger joints all over the world. I've had them in a range of styles from your simple humble burger to those that realistically are more publicity stunt than anything edible. I tell you this because I want you to know I am serious when I say that the burgers tat Burger Geek rank among the best I have had, probably number two, and only because number one has a nostalgic reason for it's rank but without it these burgers would be in its place. At Burger Geek the prices are reasonable, the food fresh and good, and the service friendly. The burger names - fun, the venue - small but just what it needs to be and clean. I had meant to go here years ago when they opened but just never made it. Finally I tried it and now will forever regret those missed years. The meat is fresh and well cooked, the buns light but not too light, the other additions well proportioned. The burger is what some may consider light on sauce but this lets the other parts of it speak for themselves. I'll be going back as often as I can.

Overall I'd say average, but looks like when things are on song it could be quite good (has plenty of good reviews.) Their Bishop burger was quite nice, but really lacking in sauce to tie the flavours together. Beef and bacon were nice, and it was a good size. Just not feeling the love in how it was prepared. Fries were awful. The shoestrings I was served were full of oil (which likely wasn't hot enough) and basically just looked like the scraps/dregs at the bottom of the pack. Mostly tiny, greasy offcuts. Gourmet burgers with rich ingredients need fresh, crispy, salty fries to shine. These were just a huge letdown and I could only stomach a handful before the whole meal felt greasy. (The rosemary salt, to me, tasted weird. More rosemary than salt. Should be optional extra.) Staff weren't particularly friendly and seemed disinterested which might explain the quality control with the fries/burger. May give it another go as it seems there's a great burger experience to be had, just gotta pull it together.

The burger I had was delicious, and the patties were perfectly seared. So many pickles, which is a great thing in my opinion. They were excellent about gluten free options - they had gluten free bun options, and were clear on which burgers couldn't be made gluten free. They also prepare and cook their chips and wings in a separate fryer so I could have them. I was very impressed and will be back.

A reasonable burger attempt, but for me the very mushy burger patty was a MASSIVE let down (mine really was soft - I could've eaten the patty with a spoon if I'd wanted to which is not a good sign). I had really high hopes after reading all the "best burger in NZ!" reviews on Google (seriously it was not even close). To give some credit though, besides the patty and melted cheese mush-fest my Krabby burger had all the makings of a very decent 'classic' setup with a good quality bun, pickles, lettuce & tomato, and the actual flavour of the patty / melted cheddar was pretty good. So yeah it wasn't a total disaster, I just personally won't be rushing back here for another one and I suspect all the "best burger in NZ" reviews have absolutely no idea..... for me it was just another overhyped burger joint.

Loving this new burger place. It has a very hands-on, home made quality as you can see your burgers being made right in front of you. There is no ounce of a commercial feeling about the place, it's a refreshing change. Staff are very friendly and quickly make your order. The burgers are, simply amazing. Super tasty, juicy beef patties, crispy and succulent chicken, not-too-thick buns that don't fall apart, sauces and textures that give variation, flavour combos that just work, ingredients are superfresh, atmosphere is chill and prices ain't half bad and generous portions - tasty treats for you and your partner for under $30. Best burger I have ever had. The burger names are pop culture characters so quite witty and will make you smile as you work your way through reading the menu. Not licensed when I visited but would be nice to enjoy my burger with a beer next time (hint hint if you read these reviews Mr/Mrs Owner..) Parking isn't the easiest but worth the effort so don't give up. Not too much seating in the premises but there is a park just around the corner to go and scoff your burger (and an off licence beer) while watching the sporty people do fitness stuff. You gotta try it!

Hands down the best burgers in Auckland, perhaps even the world! Social media tends to suggest that Fergburger are the worlds best burgers, but Burgergeek makes Fergburger seem like a $2.00 burger. My partner and I have been getting burgers from here for the past 2 months weekly because it's so good. Not only are the burgers absolutely heaven in the mouth but the sides are impeccable also. To top it all of they are an absolute bargain for what you get! My personal preference is the Swanson and I would definitely call it the perfect burger! Topped off with sides of jalepeno poppers, onion strings and a can of Dr Pepper and you have one hell of a meal! An easy 10/10. Update 23AUG21 3 years on: still eating here weekly when Covid isn't ruining the country and it's still amazing. Would be nice to have Dr Pepper again though!

The service was great from the minute I walked in and the menu sounded very exciting. After a short wait for it to be ready the smell of the meal in the car had me salivating like crazy. When I finally sat down to eat it the meal was absolutely heavenly. The burger was filling and tasted like it had had the love and attention needed in its creation. Not only the best burgers i've ever had but the best service and overall cool eating experience Auckland has to offer! We've been more times than we can count and food is always super fresh and consistently amazing. Whenever we leave (always satisfied) we try and think of things that it could do better but give up to the struggle as it's perfect the way it is. Burger Geek is such a cool spot and isn't hindered by the traditional burger place tropes. Never change Burger Geek, never change.... I love this place. This is my third time eating here and of course each time is as good as the last. It gets better not worse. Somehow everything tastes so good from the burger bun to the titillating sauces to the crazy potatoe pattie and then oh my God, the freshly hand made meat pattie now that is something to die for. Even the side orders are fabulous and unique. The Jalapeno poppers are my favourite but all of the other dishes are just as good. Tonight the joint was pumping Full of hipsters and cool people even me and my daughter. I know the joint is cookin when i see the local constabulary waiting in line with the hipsters . Honestly, this would have to be the best burger joint in the whole of New Zealand. The chef must be a crazy M.F. to invent this mad menu but hae it works wonders for me. Burger Geek is a gourmet restaurant hard. Try it you won't be dissapointed. five stars from me.

Juicy burgers, not those desiccated husks you're used to. But their deliciousness and appropriate pricing comes at a cost. That cost is to me. I'm simply never there early enough to get In-N-Out without braving a line. Lunch times are busy and since it's a small little establishment, prepare to wait outside, careful to not look up lest ye be recognized by a passing colleague. Lastly, whatever you do, do not suggest this as a place to meet-up over lunch. Not a lot of seating on offer. This is the kinda place where you pop in, pop out and then curse yourself later for only ordering one burger.

Burger Geek is awesome! I had the 'Zim' (vegan option) and fries and it was 10/10. I heard they've been selling out every day and night (thanks to rave reviews on The Denizen and Urban List) so if you plan on heading along then make sure you go early and expect a line! It'll be worth it :-)

Just wow. I just had a swanson(spoiler: parks and recs fans won't be disappointed) and it is a meat-born dream. With a side of onion strings and bbq sauce to dip and a coke on the side for under 18$. I dont think even the real ron swanson would say no to this delicious deal! 5/5 can',trecommend enough!

Table situation is lacking but the store isnt that big and at any rate you get lost in the foid so no one cares!
