K.Had their roasted duck on rice with cold garlic cucumber and OHMYGOD! The taste was so nostalgic and just as good as the duck I had frequently throughout my childhood. Friendly staff and great portions! Loved the casual atmosphere and of course, the great food!

J.This is probably best value n taste in Cbd for HK food. Omg huge fan of HK food. Especially bbq pork on rice. Especially they have daily special 8 dollars soy chicken on rice that I tried today. The sauce is amazing which not over sweet, rice is soft but not too slimy , chicken is so tender with many flavor. Plus look the amount of food for 8 dollars value. Seriously one of the best. I don’t normally give out 5 star but this is exceptional with that value in auckland Cbd. Come n give a try. U got nothing to lose. Have I also mentioned they come with great warming soup for welcome entree for free to warm ur stomachs first n open ur appetite. Yes that is right. Wait wait wait, have I talked about the customer service which is awesome too. Totally amazing food experience.
L.Absolutely delicious!!!! Food served hot and fast, enormous portions for a very cheap price. Can't go wrong, reminds me of being in China (don't expect "typical westernised Chinese food - this is more typical real food).

J.Good sized portion for two people. Found the duck and sauce delicious. Definitely a place to visit if you like some hands on eating. If you like lots of crispy duck skin you will be very pleased. Unfortunately we let most of it go to waste.

G.I actually like this place a lot, they are so nice, so kind, at the beginning they give you a soup on the house, tasty, and then the duck perfectly cooked, great flavour and a lot, they have a fantastic menú, and I think that is cheap, I only paid 14 NZD, great place, I will come back to try more
J.The food was really amazing!! They have amazing soy chicken, extremely well flavoured(although slightly too salty) and nicely cooked. The fried chicken was good too, didn’t have too much flavour, could probably do better next time. The seafood tofu was probably the least appealing, tasted slightly bad, wouldn’t recommend that, price was also slightly overpriced. Considering that the other food was good, 5/5

B.Cheap food, Big portions?! Yes please! We were hungry and when we saw this and the vegetarian options for my wife we thought why not, the sign says ‘Cheap Eats’ and for a couple on a budget it suited us. The menu is a little overwhelming but if you like Chinese food you know what you are going to get. We got served complimentary soup, it wasn’t anything special, but the gesture is much appreciated, it was also a meat eater soup which they served it to my wife, not ideal, thinking about cost and wastage. My meal was the shredded duck with fried noodles and veggies, I was a little disappointed on the veggie front, only two vegetables, the duck however was succulent and the portions for the medium meal was insanely big. You will not find the decor lavish in anyway, after all it’s just a cheap eat out, you go for the food and price and those will certainly not disappoint. We were full, so we were pretty happy about it.
A.If you dine in they give you fresh soup and tea for free. They also have amazing noodle soup dishes which I've had over and over again.
A.The food here is quite good, especially in light of the affordable prices on meals for one or two. The standard duck roast or BBQ pork with steamed rice or fried noodles are decent options for a dependable dinner.
However, where this establishment lacks is in customer service, which is lackadaisical at best and negligent at worst. This is not to suggest that the staff are rude - they're not - but simply that they perform each of their tasks with very little interest and this shows. This also goes for how the establishment is laid out in terms of its seating arrangement and its interior décor.
While I don't think anything I've mentioned is reason enough to not visit BBQ Duck, customers may wish to order take away rather than dine-in.

A.The crispy skin roasted pork is good. We also had the fried beef noodles as well, it's definitely above average. Their portion is also very generous for the price you pay. To top it up, the service is fast and staff are friendly.

T.After the memorable one thousand dollars king crab dinner in Sydney, we decided to
let our friends to choose the restaurant. We walked aimlessly into this small, unassuming little Chinese restaurant of Queens Street. We ordered the usual common Cantonese dishes of roasted pig, roasted pork, and roasted duck. Steamed sea bass, tofu with mixed vegetables, and soy sauce chicken. All the dishes were delicious, and best of all, at very reasonable prices. The restaurant staffs were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone looking for good Cantonese foods.
N.The lunch special of Soy Chicken for $9 is such great value. It's absolutely delicious as well. When you buy a main meal, for an extra $1 you can get a small plate of Soy Chicken too. They also throw in a soup and green tea for free too. Absolute value for money. The people are really friendly too. At peak times the food takes awhile though.

D.I used to live in Hong Kong, so trust me when I say that the food here is legit. They have authentic BBQ Pork dishes that other Chinese restaurants can't emulate. Eating here really reminds me of the time I was in Hong Kong and brings back memories. It is hard to find HK Style Pork BBQ in New Zealand, which makes this place even more awesome. If you are craving for HK style food, or would like to try this, I strongly recommend coming here, you will not regret it.

We dined in and ordered three plates and took home enough to feed our hungry Uni student daughter who we are in Auckland to visit.

A.Always great price, loads of food and fresh ingredients. Great service and free stock before the mains if you are eating in. Eating there for more than 3 weeks every second day, will keep on doing that for a good while.

This casual eatery serves Cantonese style roast/BBQ meats and other dishes. We stopped in for lunch and ordered a couple of dishes from the back page of the main menu which entitled us to a free plate of soya chicken. They give you free soup and a pot of Chinese tea! The food was very good and the service was friendly and efficient.
