*Nov 2021 food was made quickly but was pretty good considering the amount of times I went the food was always below average. Food was hot this time and the wait time wasn't bad, only suggestion is to take the choc shavings off the sundae as it ruins it

Nicer food than your standard fast food. This particular restaurant was clean and well organised we visited. Did ask for vaccination passes even though we dined in during red light and they had a sign outside saying they would ask for it.

I visited this branch last night and ordered a superstar large combo. First of all, the drive thru service was extremely slow despite there being only two cars ahead of me. I am almost certain that the person who took my order was the same one who handed over the food. When checking my order, I discovered that he gave me Coke instead of Sprite, OK so not a big deal. I informed him and he replaced the drink, but when I got home I found out that he also forgot to add ketchup which I specifically asked for. It just seemed they were not only short staffed, but lacked motivation. The burger and fries were OK, nothing great but certainly not bad. I was disappointed with the service overall, though the meal was alright.

I will review the following: 1) Original Big Angus Burger: - The meat patties are amazing - the brioche bun is nice but not the best one I had. It is probably healthier as not much buttery 2) chilly cheese fries: Was ok but the beef and cheese was not melted evenly on top of the fries. If you are looking for spicy chilly fries, this is not your dream dish 3) Buffalo chicken burger: The burger itself is really tasty including the bun. The only thing that is off is the buffalo sauce which wasn’t that the star of this burger at all. You can barely taste it actually

Pretty fast drive thru and in person, usually no more than 5-7 mins wait. Exactly what you’d expect from fast food quality wise, in my opinion it beats Maccas and BK

Came by after work to grab a quick dinner. It wasn't packed but I had to wait a while before I could get someones attention to order. It seemed that they were making stuff in the back and the only person available was dealing with a drive through order. After ordering it took about 15-20 minutes to get my order of burger and shake. Went for takeaway but they did take the food out to you if you were eating in. Burger itself was quite nice but not large.

I found Carl Jr Burgers very tasty. Service was with a smile. I got two burgers for $6 a chicken one and cheese burger it was a combo special. Very good value.

I ordered the famous Jim Beam Burger with med. fries and drink, costed $16. I asked for more sauce in my burger, and they do it without extra charge. Very friendly staff. Always smile. As always, the Jim Beam Burger tasted very nice. Very good environment too.

Good service and great variety of menu options to suit all budgets. Great tasting burgers. Unfortunately stars down because the toilets were disgusting on my last visit.

Food decent wait times were substantial

The bottom buns was cold, bought it on Saturday night around 8.30 pm

Well situated restauant to catch passing traffic. Plenty of tables to dine-in. The Famous Star burger combo was very nice but I was unable to swap out the drink for a Hot Chocolate as the machine was broken. I was also unable to have a Maple and flake sundae as they had run out earlier in the day.

Food was good but the staff needs training in basic hygiene (Health and Safety related). When we walked in kitchen staff was sitting on top of the rubbish bin outside the door and walked in 5 mins later, straight to the kitchen and started preparing the meals. Horrifying to say the least! Walking in the kitchen with all the bugs and germ covered uniform. Yikes!! Fortunately, we were served before this particular staff member entered the kitchen. We are in no rush to go back to Carls Jr..

Stopped by here yesterday, great service and yummy food. The queue wasn't too long despite a move from Alert level 4 to level 3.

They need to bring back Honey-Mustard dipping sauce for the Chicken Tenders

Well, so far this is my favorite burger joint in the East of Auckland. An impressive selection of kids meals as well as burger for the adults makes this place better then McDonald's for me. I have been met with nothing but great tasting burgers and friendly staff members. This is a delightful stop when the hunger comes knocking.

I like the beef burger and deal of Carl's Jr but they have provided me a wrong size of drink while deal clearly mentions "4 medium size drinks" & 4 medium fries. Sometimes I really get disappointed with their customer service :( I'd prefer having 35 dollars bundle rather than the deal.

My family dined at this restaurant last night. First time I visited Pakuranga store. I love Carl's Jr food! The girl serving us wasn't particularly friendly or good with customer service and messed up our order somewhat. I was charged extra for criss-cut fries, which I wasn't told about until I queried when I saw my receipt. My father ordered a chocolate milkshake and criss-cut fries and received a strawberry milkshake and regular fries. My father got a replacement shake, but not the fries he had originally ordered. I think they had forgotten to replace them for my father, but I was asked by Fatima (Shift Leader) how my low-carb burger was and it was delicious. I mentioned to her about the mess up with our order and that the staff need to work on their communication skills. Fatima handled the situation very well and made things right by offering us the criss-cut fries as we were leaving the store. She had the smile and customer service I would expect from a store like this. She saved me from writing a very bad review on this store, which is what I was going to do last night. I'm looking forward to returning to this store in the future.

The burger was good and the chips were crunchy and fresh. The food took a good 10 mins to prepare. Not exactly fast. Given there were only two small families in the restaurant at the time and mine was one of them, I reckon the place will struggle when it gets busy.

This was my first time to Carl's Jr and to be honest will be my last. This place is VERY expensive. The food was OK and the chips were a 'heart attack in a box'. God knows how many calories were in it but they would have been HUGE. Staff were pleasant and decor nice.

Depending on what you get, can be a bit pricey but it's worth it. Great staff, polite and helpful. The wait is never that long. Always get my order correct, no missing food lol this is my go to place for take out now

Used to be better. Not very clean. Staff pretty miserable - no smiles and no pleasantries even though we were the only ones at the counter and one family already seated and eating the only others in there! Burgers good though. Chips undercooked and undersalted. No salt on tables and a grunt when I asked for some packs of sauce for the chips.

Their food can range from good to amazing, but their service can range from meh to shocking. The staff, especially in D/T, seem underwhelming when it comes to the basics of good customer service. Listening skills, 1 customer 1 focus, and just the basics of being thoughtful are always lacking whenever I go there. But the food can be amazing - Jim Beam Bourbon Burger for the win!

Ordered a meal for 1 person and it came to almost $30. I could eat at a proper restaurant for that. Fast food is supposed to be cheap! It is a lot better fast food than other places like McDonalds though.

We ordered coffee and fries! I ordered flat white and no one asked if I wanted sugar. This is normal in a fast food restaurant, but the difference was that the sugar wasn't positioned in a convenient position that customers could easily access themselves. The sugar was positioned behind the counter. It was really quiet at 4.15 pm (fortunately). I had to request sugar from the front counter and didn't get offered something to stir the sugar with. So, I had to request a spoon, which if it was busy would have delayed service to other customers. I am not saying that the staff were rude as they were friendly and smiling. But, they didn't appear to be experienced in customer service. My fries were overcooked!

Had the new pork ribblet it was delicious. The place was really clean as were the toilets only downside is it does take awhile for food to come out. But staff were all friendly and happy. Would recommend this place and will be back again.

Fun family place with fixed simple menu. Very friendly service. Many pa es are closed in the evening due to focus. But his place is open. And bo booking required. Not bad at all.

The layout of the restaurant is good it is sleek and modern the staff are kind and deliver meals in quick fashion, the place is well cared for and very hygienic. There is a ps4 for entertainment, great spacial layouts and clean toilets. The only problem would have to be the drive thru it is very cramped and has a sharp turn at the end that is hard for inexperienced drivers also getting back onto the main road from the place is a nightmare but besides these things it is a great experience. The food is great and is worth the money provided. The wifi is fast and easy to connect to and it also good air conditioning for those summer days. Overall I believe that if you're hungry and want to get a bite you should go down to Carl's Jr pakuranga and have a fulfilling meal and a great time.

I always laugh through the drive through the attendants have super strong Indian accents and never understand the questions I ask them they just waffle for about 2minutes and say any answer back to me but never answer my enquiry. You need to know what you want before you go here. Slightly off putting, However the attendants are very good at opening doors for customers. Nice chivalry!

Food is great and service is good. Think they would do so much better placed out in Botany. More people to feed. Personally think they should move house. I would go more often if they weren't so far out.

Great place for burgers and chili cheese criss cut fries

Since Carls Jr arrived in New Zealand a few years ago, they have steadily gone downhill, choosing to focus on deals rather than quality. Burger King, on the other hand, has responded to the threat from this, their main rival alongside McDonalds and Wendy's, by upping their quality while maintaining their reputation for value, earning them the coveted estimation of this reviewer as Best Fast Food Franchise. Carls Jr on the other hand has simply become medicore. Except for the crisscut chilli fries. They are like a drug.

Travelling from Australia. No real customer service, manners, no smile, nothing. It seemed like the girls behind the counter seemed like they were not getting paid! NZ customer service...what service. Food was ok

Unlike many multinational take-aways the staff at Carl's Junior on Pakuranga Road look like someone's Mum, not someone's teenage kid. This means they have experience, and a steady work ethic. You feel like you are getting a meal from someone who is competent and steady. The job isn't either a real panic nor is it beneath them and getting in the way of partying. Nice folks every time

Everytime we come here, we have to drink our fizzy drinks without rhe fizz. We then vow never to come back, but then we try again and same issue. Not acceptable. Food is good though...
