T.Unbelievably good Pitas! The pita bread itself is so light and fluffy, the falafel is crunchy on the outside but still moist on the inside. The sweet treats are also awesome 👌 cannot fault the food and coffee here.

Come back a couple of times, the guy who take my order remember me with or without mask, so nice and friendly. I brought a friend with me today, we both love it. I wish I live as close as my friends does..

B.Brought some of their online goods for pick up. The ube rugelach croissant was amazing. It had a nice ube flavour with a nice bready texture. The topping on top added some nice crispiness to it. I also got some of the gviniot cheese cake danish and it was tasty and interesting. It was like a creamy lemon cheese sauce inside some pastry. We also got some of their pita bread and it was much more filling than a normal one from the store. It smelt so good driving back from the store. Definitely, a place to try for something different. I am keen to try their babka and challa.

Falafel pita was great. Crispy green falafel and fluffy in the inside, with sour pickles, great spices and topped with Amba!
You won't find any better in Auckland!

R.The baked goods at Carmel are TO DIE FOR. The Chocolate & halva cake was inhaled by my partner in 2 days and I’d totally recommend the Ube croissants for anyone who doesn’t like things too sweet.
Moreover, the customer service by Carmel and Tom was impeccable and I felt completely safe getting my goods during lockdown. Can’t wait to try their pitas!!
Edit: finally got to try the pitas and they were delicious! Super fresh and tasty. Try it with the pickled mango sauce if you’re adventurous! You won’t regret it!

J.Aw it on Chasing a Plate so had to try it out. Crazy busy on a Saturday morning but coffee and food was on the table within minutes. Tasted great and so fresh. Staff friendly and efficient. Even get a free falafel when ordering. Nice premises too.

N.The food was tasty but I wish you had put the sauces and pickle in the middle of the bread so that people can get more flavours in the second bite. I didnt taste the mango sauce in the dish which was a bit disappointing but looking forward to eat more from Carmel. 🙂

I’m currently drunk eating a falafel kebab from somewhere else that does not compare to the falafel pita I experienced at Carmel’s earlier today. N.The best chicken and vegetarian pitas I've had in NZ so far, and I don't say that lightly! Their baking is top notch too -- I especially love the Rugelachs, the cheesecake danish and the kouign amans of various flavours. Thanks team for the freshest and tastiest food, I can see you don't skimp on quality at all!

D.Coming from the middle east I no doubtedly miss the food there.. came across this place who do pita falafel sandwichs aka Mushakal.
Have to say these guys nailed it. Very filling and tasty if you want the authentic style just opt for hummus and tahini.
A bit onto the pricey side at $16 per sandwich but hey no complaints they are really good 👍
O.Hands down the best falafel in NZ. Each bite is heavenly and would take you straight to Israel. Although, I doubt that you'd find falafel that good in Israel too - This is the real-deal high-end pita, and its here in Tāmaki Makaurau, Aotearoa. It's a no brainer, go try for yourselves. Ask for the pickled chili hot sauce - that's a novelty
B.I came to the Pt Chev location on a Saturday evening and was blown away by how good the felafel pita was. Everything was made from scratch, nothing store bought. Excellent place, bring the family and the staffy here!

First of all, their food was delicious. We heard such wonderful comments about the food from all of our guests, including the foodies and the fussy eaters- people were absolutely blown away by the flavours and the variety.
Carmel and Tom went above and beyond to not only cater for special dietary requirements, but also did so on very short notice.
Prior to the event, they came to check out the venue, liaised with the owner, and were self-sufficient throughout, which was exactly what we needed; they were very professional.
Their price was fair and the food quantities were generous, and you can tell they love what they do. The comments across the board, from the venue, the rest of the staff, and the guests, were all mentioning how wonderful and positive these guys are. As Carmel put it “when you make food, you have to be happy and bring positive energy.”
After the event, guests have asked us for contact details of the caterers and wanted to know if they have a shop/restaurant- that should really say it all.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Carmel and Tom, you guys are amazing, and your food was delicious! We would give you 6 stars if we could 🙏
