Went there last night and I had a great experience. The order taker was very friendly and courteous. Took my order and told me it would be a 10-15 minute wait. I got my food within 15 minutes. I had ordered the Value choice meal spicy. It was a fantastic meal. The chicken strips were spicy, crispy and still juicy. The burger was huge and the portion of fries were large as well. The potato and gravy was delicious. Thanks for a great meal.

Went to Chicking dine-in with the family. I love what I ordered it was original chicken burger and spicy chicken pieces, it was absolutely scrumptious. Yummy! Yummy! I got love in my tummy. 🤗🤭

Can’t remember the name of this young girl who served my order today. I love it when people are doing their best job smiling at us customer despite how rude some people are when they wait. Very good and satisfying customer service.. recommend my friends to get a feed from here rather than any other restaurant.. thanks for the good service guys and happy Christmas❤️

Love their service. Every time i go there, it's always same pleasant one that i received the last time. Love their original but the spicy chicken sometimes get little too spicy for me haha. I didn't like the popcorn chicken though, its a bit chewy. Beef burger is the second best after Burgerfuel. I guess they can shorten the wait time by precooking a bit more menu items but i get that it'll affect their quality. So I'm happy to wait. Keep up the quality and great service 😊

Place was nice and clean. Pretty New building nest and tidy. Loved the decore. Went in L2 so few tables closed.food was hot and fresh so I didn't mind the wait time which was over 10 minutes. Tandoori chips were great.

Honestl loveeee the food and awesome service but was dissapointed when they gave me the wrong order, what i ordered costed a few dollars more also. Its not as simple as taking it back as i have a baby and that is hard enough as it is let alone the extra gas

I usually avoid these places with passion, only ever if I'm indulging the kids to a treat meal. However my boyfriend wanted to try it and I was hungry so I got an order of three chicken strips. At $5 they were certainly good value for money and seriously substantial, the coating was tasty and it was ready faster than any fast food I've ever ordered. And when you consider its all being done across a table at the doorway, it's a bit of a triumph. Only negative would be that even though the chicken was cooked perfectly, because it was breast meat, it was on the dry side.

Went out late last night on the hunt for new places to try, came across this gem, we ordered a toastie, a stacked chicken burger combo and a 6pc with 2 of each type of chicken, everything was delicious, only thing was the fries were very salty, my partner couldnt eat them because too much salt but I ended up eating them, after placing order the staff said it was a 15 minute wait and it was absolutely perfect timing, staff were really friendly and accommodating and I definitely felt satisfied with the staff service and food quality apart from the fries but It was just a minor inconvenience, thanks so much to the team at Chiking, we will be back again sometime! :) 10/10

Honestly, my experience of the place was average. First impression: not enough parking slots at the place (bummer) Second: The menu looks great, good variety! So I order Tandoori chicken burger Third: Friendly staff who served the order timely, the overall flavor was great but the tandoori sauce was too salty. Fries were of substandard quality, hard and dry (that's what she said) 😆 anyways, yeah wasn't that great of experience but I think they can change based on the feedback I provided them in-store as well. A great menu range. Tandoori chips are certainly worth trying, superb. I think they need a wider variety of drinks to offer and maybe desserts too but all n all I still think they deserve 5 stars for what they do serve.

This is the spot if you want good fried chicken! The assistant manager Sahiba is a legend and hooks up the boys!

This place has been my go to for dinners. Made to order and yummy fresh chicken. In my honest opinion, better and tastier chicken than any other around west Auckland. Portion wise its not a joke, I struggle to finish their Super 2 in 1 alone. Just be warned, its a place you can get hooked. More over, staff is friendly and will help you out with recommendations, mix and pick etc. Overall Great food and great service. No complains <3

The service is pretty slow. But the food is awesome. Its my favorite "fast" food place. The staff....are very friendly. Big smiles. You can literally feed a hungry 7 year old for $5.90!! The chicken pops for kids are so nice.....im always stealing a few off the kids

The service that we received was good, the staff was helpful and diligent and made me feel he was trying to make amends for us waiting for our foods. We got chips, but it was hard, not so soft or chewy, the chicken flesh is good, but the crumbs outside were hard & dry. We took a long drive to get there, getting a bit of fresh air as well, but there were not a lot of free parking space available, we put our car in Wilson Parking, which has plenty of lots

Have been here a couple of times now and the spicy chicken is very nice. Burgers are a good size and a good balance of flavour. Chips are nice. However the chick pop which is popcorn chicken had an over whelming pepper flavour. Not sure if it was supposed to be like that. Will def try again and try more of the menu.

This place is running so well during these hard times. I usually visit them for dine ins but now that I have to get takeaway the food is still fresh and same level of taste. You guys provide great service and are my no one stop for food. Keep on doing the good work and I will keep on visiting. 🙂

Best and crunchiest fried chicken I have ever tried. Tandoori bites are the best and must try. Their burgers are so filling and fresh. The staff are well trained even though its so nee and keep you informed of the wait time. They have got my business and keen to keep on coming back. 👍

What a great customer service experience and excellent hospitality by Nikita and staff at Glen Eden branch. Thats called a great tasting food with am awesome dining experience. I visited with family to try the recently opened branch, and the staff provided us with one of the greatest service. The food was fresh and great tasting. Love their food! Grilled chicken takes time to cook, but I must say it is worth the wait. Their veggie tandoori burger and tandoori fries are a must try too. This place is super busy and their customer service is on point They were telling everyone an approximate waiting time while taking their orders. As they opened last Friday, I think they are doing great!!

I visited this wonderful place at Gleneden for lunch Yesterday. The menu is perfect, feasible for everyone. Also, the hygiene level are so accurately maintained that I felt safe to eat here even in this pandemic 🙂. I ordered for yummy Spicy Double Toastie and Hot Wings 😍. Trust me its the best crispy chicken I ever had in New Zealand..It was so fresh and hot served that I enjoyed my meal to the fullest. One good thing was the wait time mentioned by the staff in advance and was accurately followed which is much appreciated 👍🏻. Overall it was a win-win choice for me 💃. I absolutely enjoyed dining here and would definitely prefer this place every single time to munch some crispy chicken 👻

Service was acceptable. We were asked if "we were enjoying our meals" 4 times in the 25 minutes we were there, which was probably a bit much. They had run out of original recipe chicken, and only had spicy available, it wasn't overly spicy though, my kids and I still enjoyed it. Will definitely go again!

I've been to a few branches in Auckland (including your competitor on Dominion road) and can say that the Glen Eden wins hand down in terms of food quality, freshness, pricing, excellent customer service and friendly staff. Special mention to Ketan and Nikita for going out of the way in their customer service and they are so friendly and helpful. Keep up the good work!

Soo I’ve been looking for places to have chicken tenders... bought their 5 piece Tender combo and woooow I must say it’s better then Carl’s Jr! Size is good too! Worth the price 🤤 chicken was yummy 🤤 sides were yum! If you like spice their the place to go.

First time trying Chicking. So I gotta say the supreme filet burger lacked flavour but overall was alright 6/10. The chips 8/10 and the Tandoori chicken burger was great a straight 10/10. Very nice staff. Very clean and tidy place too.

Ordered 20pc bucket with rice sides for a large group. We all agreed it was the best fried chicken ever, and that rice! Wow. Keep it up guys. I see people complaining about wait times. The place was pretty packed and I only waited 10 mins for the order so no worries there. Also need to point out the super friendly service.

Chicking Glen Eden is a nice place, better the the other chickings I have been to. One thing they need to work on is being more faster on serving their customers, sometimes I order like 2 things and they say it will take 10mins but it takes them around 20-30. They also need to work on their customer service, the other day my family went there (4 people) and they gave us 2 little tomato sauces. They also have very dirty tables and chairs, when we asked them to wipe the chair they said they would be there in a minute but they made us sit there for 10 mins I know they are busy but some people were just standing around doing nothing. We had to sit somewhere else and wait for 10 minutes before they came over and wiped it.

Love this newbie in Glen Eden. I went there on Tuesday night before closing and the staff was so nice and courteous. Even though the news went out for level - 3 lockdown, they were still very calm and had their smiles on! I love their tandoori burger, tandoori fries and bites. It is like a perfect meal for me. I would really want to add that these people are taking a lot of effort to provide us with good meal and if takes a little bit longer to do so, I don't mind waiting for another 10-15 minutes.

All the food I received today looked amazing, smelt incredible, and tasted even better. The service exceeded my expectations in every way and the atmosphere is how a family restaurant should be. I went in store today and received the sort of care and attention from their staff like I was visiting a loving family. I was missing my family too so this helped to recharge my spirit and not miss them so much. Happy staff, happy customers :) The grilled chicken they have to cook fresh and is totally worth the wait in my opinion. Very tender and moist chicken wrapped in a perfectly grilled but light n crispy exterior bursting with so much flavours it's like a party in your mouth. I have tried their spicy chicken before and I really enjoyed it. The original is not as enjoyable as kfc because it is quite bland in flavour but their grilled and spicy chicken is definitely light years ahead of anything at kfc. The fries are similar shoe string fries like at McDonald's but somehow they taste better. Probably different cooking oil or something but absolutely amazing with tandoori spices. The potato mash & gravy is great in taste and texture and compliments the tandoori fries well. Compared to kfc it is close but kfc just wins in flavour. In the 5-in-1 meal you also get 2 x Royal Crunchy Burger (spicy chicken patty) and I think it is quite good value for money and tastes really good too. So the staff seem to care about what they are doing and it reflects in their food and service. I would highly recommend Chicking Glen Eden because they know how to look after their customers.

I have tried their BBQ double toastie and the grilled chicken and I really enjoyed it. It took them some time to prepare my order but the wait was worth it as I like my food well cooked. The staff there told me that they don't use frozen chicken and the preparation time is usually 12-15 minutes.

I made a small order, about $15, in a relatively empty restaurant. The lady at the counter was kind enough to say that the hot wings I ordered were about 15 minutes away. Being in somewhat of a rush, I said to cancel the hot wings and I ordered a piece of chicken instead. Unfortunately, we didn't receive our order for about 20 minutes. I found it odd and disappointing that the advice was a delay on wings, but not on everything else too. The food was good though, and they gave us an extra piece of chicken (I assume for the delay) which was nice.

Updating my review as Chicking has improved immensely. The regular chicken still tastes like shake n’ bake trash but the overall service was faster and the food was more fresh. I’d still recommend you stick with the unspicy spicy chicken because it’s tasty. The potato and gravy, and the fries are also good. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This blatant KFC rip-off made me wait 21 minutes for their regular chicken of which has the flare and flavour of shake ‘n’ bake supermarket trash. The pieces had inconsistent quality, some of the chicken was lukewarm and others fresh and hot. Fries were ok, but also pretty much cold and the potato & gravy was average. The spicy chicken was decent, though. Good flavour and crunchy, but not really spicy at all.

The spicy chicken was tasty. Unfortunately wasn't able to try regular or grilled as they were in the middle of making more. Peri Peri double toastie was good too. Overall enjoyed it

The chicken here was yummy especially the Hot n Spicy version. The coleslaw was ok it tasted a little bit slimy and not as fresh as the KFC variety but other than that very tasty and yummy.

Great place with a cozy vibe. The spicy and grilled chicken is really good. I also liked the Tandoori Bites. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place to others. Better than KFC in my opinion.

My verdict, it was actually OK, it's Not KFC and don't go in with that expectation their normal and spicy are all relatively spicy. my concern was the hygiene half an hour that I was there none of the three staff changed the gloves even though they went from food cabinet, handling money and cleaning tables and clearing rubbish. I would eat chicking again but unsure if I would at Glen Eden after witnessing this

I visited Chicking - Glen Eden two days back and the experience i had was really awesome. I couldn't help myself in commenting about the service offered by Chicking. I tried tandoori bites,grilled chicken and value bucket. The staff named Reshma was so courteous. The order was made in no time and she rightfully conveyed the deals throughout the week. It didn't sound as a promotion but though i am not a fan of chicking, the way the customers were treated and based on the varieties of menu offered, i will visit a couple of times as well.

This is the best place. Service was fast. Staff was checking with everyone about the meal. Staff went above and beyond to ensure customers were comfortable and were enjoying the meal. I have seen lots of 1 star reviews when the business just opened. Come on guys, all I will just say to have some patience. They are just opened and on the very 1st day you are starting to complain. Please understand every business takes atleast a month to set up in a smooth way. They should be given enough time before we make any judgments. I also tried their food and I will say now, we have finally got some better products than so called KFC....(tired of their continuous poor service, presentations and food quality. Food is damn tasty. Chips are tasty and crisp but tend to be over-salted. Be aware that they haven't had decades to get slick like McD or BK, so food prep times are longer than you're used to. No drivethrough.

The fried chicken is very crispy and goes well with the coleslaw and potato gravy. The burgers are tasty and they offer a lot of variety. I tried their grilled which was definitely worth the wait.

Very good quality food, some fries and popcorn chicken seem like they've been sitting there for a couple hours, but other than that it's a very good experience

Went in today to dine in and the chicken was really fresh and crispy we also ordered the tandoori bites and chips which took me right back to India, the way KFC and Mcds spice their chicken and chips which was the BEST part. The portions are generous and priced fairly for the quality. I couldn't finish the thigh piece so I took it home and reheated it in my airfryer and honestly it was just as good !! Will be back soon!

I'm very happy to write my experience that I had with Chicken - Glen Eden last day. Even in this lockdown period, they are managed to provide us a really great services. Last day I tried Tandoori bites and Tandoori burger, and it was amazing. Kudos to all the staffs out there in Glen Eden!! But I should mention about this one girl whose was courteous and pleasant. she was very friendly and always mentioning about the waiting time. That find very helpful, those things make your shop different from other shops. If i remember, her name would be Reshma/Remya. I'm looking forward to visit again. Always keep up this energy guys!!

Nothing special.. we bought chicken rice, 2pc pack and Tandoori chicken bites. The best thing was Tandoori bites. Spicy chicken not spicy and although meat was juicy, it's pretty bland. We won't be back, rather go elsewhere.

Nice food but only thing is owner is very involved in everything making it uncomfortable for workers and everyone. Unprofessional to stand infront of counter every time we go there. Also one time she was on laptop working in restaurant so unprofessional!

I ordered the BBQ tosty meal yesterday. It's probably the best thing I have had it in a while. The service was nice place was clean and tidy.

Burgers are great but the hot wing chicken isn't really that special and rather plain and abit to oily.

Very fast service I have no complaints ,every time i visit the restaurant is busy. But they treat us very polite and respectful and received the order on time.

Honest review : Today is my first time ever at this takeaway...omg!! After having dinner here with my almost 2 yrs old daughter..wow! There Chicken & chips is so deliciously crispy ..I mean I dislike chicken especially KFC.. everytime I consume it I run to the bathroom but this chicking is so good...I'm coming back for more 4 times in a week until I turn 100 yrs old ...nah just pulling your leg..yes I recommend this place to anyone that wants to go out and enjoy dinner somewhere different I suppose.
