Amazing food and a great vibe. Was nice and busy but easy to chat with who you’re dining with. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional. Food was filling too. The food is quality.

This place is indeed a very nice restaurant to dine at. Everything from the service to the atmosphere; the food to the desserts is really pleasant and unforgettable. Me and my friend we got impressed by how nice and friendly all the staffs here were. Super nice courtyard with fancy interior furnishings. Well presented dishes and delicious desserts. In overall, every single element of this place vibes together which created such great moment for a fine dining, elegant, romantic experience. I’m completely happy and satisfied that I took my friend here for dinner. Will absolutely be revisiting this place in the future !

Partner and I went here for a celebration dinner and was really impressed with pretty much everything. The prices are on the high end but very few places in this price range manage to balance high quality dishes and reasonable portion sizes, and Cibo nailed both. The staff were welcoming and attentive and we didn't have to wait too long for dishes. The restaurant is well set out, music and accoustics designed to let you have a conversation but feel a sense of privacy. And then there is the food. Every dish was exciting and delicious, and the sizes were a pleasant surprise. Will definitely come here again. Thanks for a lovely evening.

Always an excellent experience here. The food is always great, but that in itself is not enough. The staff keep us coming back time and time again. The best front of house I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. Keep it up

I came to Cibo for a formal excursion with colleagues and the overall experience was fantastic. 10/10 would recommend. The waitstaff were helpful and welcoming and I recommend the cocktails. The lamb and duck was particularly succulent and tasty and I definitely advise you to try the fish, it was superb. The pork entrée was lovely too. Thank you Cibo, I look forward to coming back soon.

Had a wonderful Valentines Day dinner. Special effort from the restaurant and stunning food. Slightly surprised, at this level, to have appetisers described as snacks with no other explanation.

Went for a work lunch and it was a really interesting range of food. Only one vegetarian option which were pretty good. Entree was a little disappointing however the main was amazing! Had an assortment of desserts which tasted great overall!

Best restaurant I've been to in Auckland. The food was amazing and the service was the perfect balance of attentive but not intrusive. Our drinks were filled without asking (or noticing) and the food arrived at the table at the perfect pace that we had time to chat in-between courses but not feel we were having to wait. The food is no doubt 5 star. The vibe/environment however looks like a local bar. The floor plan is kind of awkward. The service was great!

An absolute delightful night! Very warm, kind and attentive service! We had the chance to try out the new menu and it was delicious. They also have great choices of wine that you can pair really well with your meal. The team went above and beyond by surprising us with a special dessert as it was our anniversary. Cibo feels like the place where everyone knows your name: the service is always undeniably warm and welcoming, and the setting definitely cosy and inviting - especially on a chill winter's evening. But don't come here expecting bangers and mash, the cuisine is considered with a wine list to match. Saying that, don't leave without trying the pavlova.

Awesome experience here. Staff are very knowledgeable and courteous. Some not afraid to make a joke or two which is fantastic. Most importantly food was great! Menu changes reasonably frequently but the chef's are more than happy to make small changes (when they can) based on dietary restrictions. 10/10 Highly recommend

Wow. Just wow. I live in Melbourne where the foodie culture is real. And my dining experience at Cibo was probably the best I’ve had in years. Better than anywhere in Melbourne! The cocktails are absolutely to die for (and I love that they are all named after famous Kiwi women), every dish is an explosion of flavours and perfectly cooked, and the service is attentive and very wonderfully Kiwi. My recommendation: get the Kiri Te Kanawa cocktail and don’t skip the pav even if you think you have no room left for dessert!

Delicious food! Staff and service is amazing too! Only thing that surprised me is that I got *two plastic straws* with my drink. I would have thought a place this fancy would have switched to metal ones by now. Especially since they have cloth napkins and towel in the bathroom.

Was there last night with my wife and we were warmly greeted by Brad. It was our second time here and the food was just phenomenal, the ambiance was phenomenal and dear Brad was phenomenal. He alongside other waiting staff ensured that we were well taken care of. It was jam packed and still we didn't wait long for the food to come which is extraordinary. Will definitely recommend it. Will certainly be back.

A lovely venue and the food is good - a great menu and reliable, but not exceptional, which is what you want for the prices charged. The service is excellent, but what on earth is going on with music? Classic hits of the 80s is not what I want at a fine dining restaurant.

When you see wait staff coming to each table to ensure the customers are well taken of , you know you are the right place. The food was amazingly well prepared and presented and the ambiance was just wonderful. Brad is a legend and he took care of us quite well. Much appreciated and we shall definitely return.

A fabulous dinner, the food is faultless (if not too good to be true) and the salted caramel pavlovas are a must try!. Our comedian, pond accident saviour and wonderful waiter Vai made it all look effortless. Top-notch. Definitely a night to remember!

Been meaning to visit for years as heard it was good. Finally got around to it. Place was pumping and packed which is great and I can see why. Food was amazing. Had the Degastation and it was outstanding. Loved every course. Service was ace and cost was excellent value. My wife commented she was thinking about going vegetarian but after the lamb couse it just can't happen. Sure will be back and it goes on my list of recommendations to others.

I love this restaurant! It is one of my favourite places to go for a bit of a treat. The food is fabulous, the decor is classy and chick at the same time and the service is absolutely second to none. I have recommended it to others before, and everyone who has gone there has loved it. FYI, most of the desserts are huge, so unless you have a second stomach reserved for dessert, it is better if you share it with someone. Dinner portions are good and excellent value for money.

Attended my friends wedding on Friday night and the service is Amazing! The staff was very friendly and attentive. They explained everything clearly. The food came out with perfect timing. I loved every minute of it, I just wished we could've stayed a little bit longer. The food is another story. From the starter to the desert, every single dish was presented perfectly. I enjoyed every single one of them. Best. Night. Ever!

Service was good. Food leave much to be desired. Duck was very dry and duck leg was burned, so I have to leave it on plate. Black Forrest was not tasty. Pavlova was quite good. Taking into account high price, the experience is not the best.

Great food and friendly vibe. What we love about this restaurant is the time they give you just to be there and enjoy your night out. These days, it's rare not to be rushed out the door. So thank you Cibo for being that welcoming spot that let's you relax and enjoy top notch cuisine.

You know somewhere is good when the owners are in there working along side the staff. Cibo is always on point, great staff, great food. Obviously pricey, but actually very generous serving sizes. Well worth it.

Wow. If you want amazing food, staff and wine in an intimate tucked away Auckland venue, then Cibo is the place to visit. We were lucky enough to attend a wedding at this venue and were blown away.

Wish I could rate them higher than 5 stars!! We held my daughters wedding at Cibo on Saturday night. Everything was perfect. The staff are fun and friendly, the food was beyond delicious, the wedding cake was heavenly and the atmosphere was warm and happy. Highly recommend!

We went here one weekday evening having recently moved in just up the road. It is in a fairly unassuming building. Cibo really was our best dining experience in Auckland for a number of years. The food does not quite have the flair of some restaurants run by other famous NZ chefs - but it really is a case of good food with good ingredients cooked outstandingly well. Lamb and the market fish were standouts, with a great line-up of NZ wines and fantastic desserts. Can't speak highly enough of the experience we had here.

I went here in 2 weeks the ffood was good as a good bisket, I used the bathroom and it smelled like gooder then doodoo, My homi lil lime he hooked me up with a free meal that food busin.

Its been a long time since I lasted visited Cibo so I was more than pleasantly surprised to see that it was as good as I remember. The staff are friendly and professional and the food .. WOW .. delicious ! We started with the specials - whitebait fritter and scallops and dumplings. The whitebait was light and had an abundance of whitebait - yummy ! The mains were a good size serve and also yummy. We ordered the Lamb which was cooked to perfection and had a wonderful combination of textures and flavours, the duck was divine and the other meals - all exquisite ! DESSERT - save room for this ! The Passionfruit sherbert marshmellow MUST be tried, the banoffe pie was delicious - one serve is enough for 2-3 people and the pavlova ... another must have. All in all - a fab evening - thank you

I should've done this sooner, as this a belated review. My partner and I went here for our anniversary. It was nothing short of amazing. As soon as we walked in the door we were met with attentive, accommodating and friendly staff. The atmosphere was great and really set the mood (for us anyway) for a great and somewhat romantic night out. Our waiter was awesome, he listened, created friendly banter and we didn't feel pressured into getting anything we didn't want. He kindly explained dishes to us that we enquired about in a way that was easily understandable. The food was amazing, with each dish presented in a way you'd expect from a 5 star restaurant. It tasted as good as it looked. Portion size was surprisingly good aswell. All in all, this has to be the finest experience I have had in any restaurant. A well deserved 5/5 stars!

Great food and service. We had lamb tartare that was fantastic, so much flavour in there. The desert was delicious, and a good size to share between two or three.

Food and atmosphere was great. However.... our waiter pressured us into spending way more than we expected. Because we were a group he made suggestions... champagne for the table, why not, four bottles later. Would you like desert, maybe a taster, 8 full deserts later. Just be careful.

We went here for a mother’s day treat and it was exceptional! The food was sensational – I had the fragrant tuna which was cooked to perfection. The duck too was fabulous. The service was amazing – we couldn’t fault them. I have now been here a few times and would recommend it to anyone for a great dinner out and quite possibly the best food you have ever eaten.

Went last night as far as I can remember when I went there years ago the service hasn't changed which is the charm and character of this place. Unfortunately the music didn't suit. Some missing beverages was a shame. Having a small number dining in, gave staff members opportunity to mingle a bit but volume travels and not ideal for patrons eating in, and in full view. This is fine dining and not your average restaurant hence price tag. It was a birthday celebration for a family member so wanted them to experience the fine dining. Meals were fine not up to what I can remember, it will be a 4 out 10 for me as for the others they enjoyed their meals. Our waiter was very accommodating he gets a 10. Like the wine and service out of the whole night!!

Wonderful food and service. Highly recommend the lamb tartare as a starter. The lamb for a main was also amazing. Salted caramel and peanut pavlova is a great desert. Banofi highly recommended by others at the table.

This restaurant is best for intimate occasions. Foods are the best plus the friendliness of the staff. All in all, I highly recommend this.

Lovely food and setting. I have visited before on a date night, but was incredibly pleased to get to return as part of a work function where the place was all ours. Great service for such a large group.

Spectacular in every way. Jeremy and team over delivered on everything from service to food, each having the precise amount of personality that any diner could wish for. My wife and I won’t officially say that Cibo is the sole reason that we’ll return to Auckland from our home halfway across the world, but between us and you, Cibo will be the first stop on our return trip.

Cibo is one of the best fine dining restaurant in Auckland. Tuck away in a quiet corner of Parnell it is a good location to have a nice dinner for special occasions. Their menu is quite confusingly interesting, the first time when I look at it I went what...? Tataki/Coffee/Chocolate/Sprout.... what is it?! Unbeknown to what I was in for, I just embraced my inner adventurous self and ordered it to try. And oh wow, that was the most AMAZING tataki ever. The venison was cooked to perfection, the coffee sauce and chocolate dust... or was it the other way round? are very good companions for the venison. We also ordered something more conventional like the natural Buff Oysters, and that was quite tasty too. The vinaigrette tasted almost like Japanese ponzu sauce, slightly sweet, tangy and spicy. My partner also ordered the entree of the day featuring pan fried scallops and some green dust. That was so good she refused to share. We had the Wagyu and Hapuka as our mains, and these were a bit less amazing compare to the appetizer and the entrees we had. My Wagyu was not as tender compare to the venison and my partner's hapuka was loaded with salt, and the coconut rice porridge I think it tasted like cream rice from a can. Then come dessert time, we had the Afghan fry-pan brownie and the St Honore pavalova... and these once again were AMAZING! We are hoping we could just come back for dessert. Wonderful place and really friendly staff. Highly recommend it !! Would be nice if we could just be here for dessert tho.

One of the best meals I've had internationally. Best dining experience in Auckland. The food is thoughtfully orchestrated - it all works on the plate. Service is 100% - how often have you heard that these days? Wonderful decor. I even purchased one of their cookbooks; I was that inpressed. This is a must do in Auckland. Book ahead.

Meal was overall very enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpfull and although our waiter forgot a few requests on a few occasions the rest of the staff made up for it. The meal was very well done with the mains very carefully put together in flavour and in presentation. The price averaged around NZD30. Portions were not large so don't go here if your expecting an all you can eat. Atmosphere was lively and the lighting well done. Highly recommended

Mixed review! We started of with a bang! Firstly it's a beautifully designed restaurant which has the wow factor, we started the night with fine champagne & craft beer, we were served a tasty little amuse-bouche of golden potato paper and this cheesy dip, our entree of Pork, scallop and mandarin was delicious! But! Unfortunately the mains were a let down, we ordered the Hapuka with XO sauce and prawn, the dish tasted muddy and a bit fishy, this bad taste lingered in my mouth. We also ordered the wagyu bavette, the whole dish was under-seasoned! The vegetables were overcooked, the cheek croquette wasn't very nice, the dish comes with green mole which had a sandy texture and chili but we didn't taste any heat at all. The side dish of Cos, candies walnuts and parmesan was very boring, missing the walnuts and had shop brought croutons thrown on top. These dishes need a lot more refinement, attention to detail and flavour checks for the price! The menu shows a supplier list which states the rib-eye is Wakanui, this brand has come under fire in the news recently for their intensive and unhealthy farming methods where the cattle are stuck in giant grass-less feedlots, surely they can upgrade to something better with animal welfare in mind.

Always a delight, cheery energetic staff and lovely surroundings. On what is possibly my 10th visit, we had the express lunch on a rare daytime visit. The whitebait was a disappointingly bland starter but the pork belly delicious. Alarmingly, $25 was charged for a half full espresso martini. You don't have to work in hospo to know how much a shot of vodka and an espresso over ice actually costs. Ridiculous mark up on all alcohol and bottled water takes an average lunch bill into a very expensive treat!

Have eaten here a few times and they never disappoint. Delicious drinks and food. The waiter was upbeat and friendly. I recommend this restaurant regularly to my friends

Very nice please , the staff is just awesome and very professional ! The food is not that high i had tuna and it had no taste no spices etc and almost raw , their deserts are too big for a gastronomic restaurant and not raffiné i jad a chocolate and orange desert and it was too much chocolate and orange ! . But i will come back as i had a nice moment

Amazing. Had an awesome time there. TV he food was really nice, and and presented very well. The place is set up really nicely with as lovely courtyard with water/fire. But for me it was the staff that made it awesome. Friendly, funny and professional. It's fine dining but without the stick up their butt. Highly recommend you go.
