I've only ever got take out from here but this is my go to Indian take out joint. The food is amazing, authentic and fresh. The service is good, the portions are large and it is affordable. My favourite menu item is the butter chicken with fluffy, warm naan bread.

We had our wedding here and I have no complaints. Ceremony was in the morning upstairs and reception was downstairs in the evening. We were very impressed with how accommodating and friendly the owner and staff were, they helped us connect with everyone we needed. The food was fantastic and all our guests complimented it :) Everyone had such a great time dancing and felt very comfortable! Thanks d’Grand Haveli!

We had ordered our takeaway food very late as everything was closed. I really appreciate the effort for you to deliver it and waiting as we were late. Nice Indian restaurant at a handy location on Great South Road. The party halls are good sized and ideal for birthdays, marriages and other such medium sized gatherings. The food is good. Staff is helpful and well behaved. Overall customer experience is nice. Parking can be a issue if many guests are expected at an event here. Otherwise well recommended.

The food at this restaurant is delicious with the naan bread being especially authentic and well done. The service is great. We had dinner, but I have also eaten their lunch buffet which is equally good. Reservations recommended for weekends.

Not too bad but not too good either. Staff are good natured. They listen to requests. Outside the place needs a clean up. While inside ambience is ok the facilities and utensils are well dirty. Toilets, filthy. Food is nothing be wowed about..found it preety average. Would have given 2 stars if i was judging food and cleanliness. Giving 1 extra for friendly staff.

Superb restaurant to host any sort of parties. We did celebrate my son's first birthday party here and food was amazing. All my guests complimented the food and look of the place. I should say, one stop shop to host all your parties.

Our first visit here, shame we ended up being the only lunchtime diners. It did seem weird being here on our own. One advantage was that we did not have long to be served. The food was very good and enjoyable, there was not enough left over to fill a small doggie bag. That was a good sign too!! We have a good excuse to go back and enjoy the atmosphere one evening, or two .....

Limited parking, however a great location to host any sort of party/function! The decorations as well as the food was beyond really good. Great staff service especially from the manager himself. Highly recommend to pre book early in advance since the place is always booked out!

Food was delicious with good portions. Special mention of the Lamb Korma, which was very flavourful and rich. Unfortunately we hadn't been told when we booked that there was a busy function on at the same time, so the dining area was quite small and the staff were not very attentive. I would get a takeaway meal in future, but wouldn't look to dine there again soon.

Well, food is brilliant I must say. From starters or soup to mains everything is awesome but how would you feel if it takes 1 hour and 55 minutes to finish your dinner. Service as slow as a snail.

This restaurant is second to none, this is the second time we have eaten at the restaurant and we love it. The whole meal is an event, time to relax and talk between courses, and the chef knows his masalas, we had a perfect prawn entree, and a few more, then followed with the mains not before a well timed rest between courses. The chef killed the Chicken Dupizia, sweet onions and tender chicken thighs, followed with lamb chef specialty which melted in your mouth? We only dropped in for a quick bite to eat, and a few Kingfisher beers later we had been there near on 2hrs. We have now had 6 dishes in our two visits and we cannot wait to bowl over a few more. The chef has what it takes to keep us going back for more. Nice place.

Came here first time from west auckland. heard about this place a lot. Restaurant had 6 tables it was busy. Next room had a big function going on, I must say their vegetarian options in Paneer is original indian flavour because we all are vegetarian seems like they got less staff but they all handled it well. There were about more than 100 people in the premises and hats off to the team handling it well.I think they need more staff despite it was Monday.

We went to The Grand Haveli for dinner to celebrate Father's Day. We had a group of 13 people and as we had pre-booked, we were welcomed to our specially set table for us. The interior is very glamorous with good lighting. There is also a feature wall where guests can take beautiful photos with their family members. Once seated, the waiters bring bottles of water and clean glasses. We were given the menu. Entree arrived on time within 15 mins, main course arrived 15 mins after we had finished our entree. Food was actually really good, the staff were very friendly and we spent close to 2 hours at the Grand Haveli. The owner came twice to check if everything was ok and we were being looked after. The restaurant was very clean, and the place looked fresh and inviting. The weather outside was cold but they kept the doors closed so inside was nice and warm. The restaurant is also very spacey and not crammed. Highly recommend this venue if you are thinking of dining in Manukau.

it was a great time ! with lots of memories at dgrand Havieli , far more than just the price. The ability of the chefs to prepare unexpected orders with in the time limits , as the restaurant had multiple prearranged party’s being hosted The restaurant staff to name only few Sachin & Bal offered exceptional, service with lots patiences , humbleness, being on their toes & that added additional flavours to every meal as we enjoyed had a variety of options, the prices were so reasonable The entire team worked hand in hand to display & reflect the image of dgrand havieli , special credit goes to Mr V Maan for meeting Services beyond the customers expectations either way, we'll definitely be back! But i noticed that we were served before another family with a young child., the table next to us got their food too before another Atul was the only one taking orders and running from table to table, ladies were only serving and clearing tables. We were quite dissapointed with the service and that noone came to ask if everything was ok The food taste was average and presentation was a bit poor hopefully this can be improved in future .

Before 4-5 months I visited there ,The first impression was not satisfied, yesterday was my 3rd time and had a great experience I really Enjoyed the tandoori items & chicken tikka, sheek kabab was delicious & I felt the actual tandoori flavour , chilli paneer and naan bread was also good, great taste& well cooked . lovelyy service, would definitely recommend my other friends to visit there.
