Service is mint and the food is amazing. Cost of the meal was a tad on the high side, but the experience is worth it. The menu is standard with servings of fair size. Bathrooms located opposite end of Eat Street. Limited seating in the restaurant but more seating available at the same end with in the Court Yard. Recommend dining in early or outside peak times as this place is popular.

Great morning out and late brunch at Dante's Pizzeria. Lovely flavors and atmosphere with seating in the sheltered alley. Quick and helpful staff. Such good serving sizes that we had to bring home a doggy bag.

Not eaten here before but Dante’s make the best pizza I’ve tasted in NZ. All are great but we especially loved the carne pizza ! Beautiful flame cooked crusts , top quality toppings and the lightest most flavoursome cherry tomato pizza sauce. Our new go to for pizza

Great food and extremely fast service but a little on the pricy side. Drinks were cheap but the meals were not. Not a bad thing but more of a once in a while outing. I have seen complaints about the food being overpriced but Dantes has a link to their menu on this very site and on the summary of the google maps page, it is rated as a pricey restaurant: two $$. Staff were friendly and from my seat, we were able to view the, I assume wood-fire, pizza oven. Overall very delicious food and would recommend it to anyone who loves Italian. Thanks

Amazing Margherita! They know their food and it shows in the quality (reeaallly good mozzarella). I loved the lighting and the ambience. Servers were warm and friendly. The only thing I felt missing was Italian music, add that and it'd have been perfect!

We were a little disappointed as it is only pizza now. All other meals are no longer available due to covid and staff shortage. However, food was good and still a homely atmosphere

I enjoyed the fried sour dough entree, pizza and pasta with my parents on fathers day. Despite the lack of seating we managed to get some seats at the shared courtyard and the servers were absolutely amazing. Made sure we were taken care of at all times. Best customer service and great food! 10/10 would recommend 😃

On Christmas day, they said that they were open furthermore accepting reservations online, but were closed upon arrival which was a bit of a let down on the day. Nonetheless, their woodfire pizza's are one of the best in the North Shore region.

My previous review on Dantes was not good. But despite our experience my husband and I went back. Second time around was a totally different experience. The service was excellent food was amazing and the atmosphere was how I imagined it to be. My faith has been restored in this restaurant and we will be back. Just one word of advice to the management, you need to respond to unhappy customers.

Booked for 8 pm got seated about 5 mins early I had the carne pizza and my wife had the pork belly, the carne pizza was amazing the flavour combinations were on point the crust was crispy but not to crispy, the pork belly was succulent on the inside with a nice crispy outside it had little to no fat and was pure meat. Granted it was valentines day and it was busy we couldn't fault the amazing service and food at dante's pizzeria!!!

He atmosphere of this place is quite nice and fun and cosy! The pizza is quite nice but not completely tasty or delicious. Felt like the tomatoes were not very tasty like they'd been d too long. Overall pretty good. A little pricey.

We visited the place on Monday and loved the service,in regard to the food you pay around $30 for a pizza( cost of food won’t exceed $5 unless they use truffles from Alba) and in my opinion it was ok but nothing great. The pizza needed to cook longer, was mostly dough and not enough filling! My Calzone was flat and to be frank I still think Farina is still the best Pizzeria in Auckland! As said service was superb so thanks to the girls!

This place is so amazing. I went in with my friend and there was a guy and a lovely lady that looked after our table and can I say I have never ever had such great customer service before. Truly the best best best. And food was 10/10! Highly recommended. 😊 thank you for such an awesome experience.

Nice food but way over priced and very basic seating its a bit like sitting in the kitchen with the cooks. Two of us asked for extra olives on our pizzas $5. Is what it cost added to $24. For a vegetarian pizza. Most expensive pizza i have ever had!

I had never had a panouzzi (sort of like a 6" toasted Subway but much better ingredients a nicer bread) before but will be trying again, i had the prosciutto option and really enjoyed. If your not the type to get your hands dirty when stuffing your face then don’t get the pizza. I thought the pizza was outstanding, but I understand why/where some of the poor ratings may come from, not that I agree with such as food is food to me, and would have to be pretty bad, which this place is not imo. We had pizza, chips, and pasta. All was good, the tomato and aioli sauce mix was a hit with the kids. Pizza was divine, but yes a bit hard to pick up and eat, It made eating it fun though very gourmet style I think. Chips were great, pasta good, atmosphere great but bare chested hairy men walking past from the beach was a bit odd, but hey it’s Takapuna. Try get your seating inside to not have foot traffic right on you as it’s a walkway through the eateries. All in all very good, music could be turned down a bit though. If you are out for a good Italian feed with mates or family on a casual note, this place great for lunch. Will be back.

I always enjoy going there... the food is amazing, fresh and really tasty. The team is so friendly and do make you feel welcome. Price is also pretty good for the quality of the food and they have great variety for seafood lovers (like me!).

WOW! Amazing service and even bigger WOW for the food, we found "DANTES" by walking past, holy moly! It was so good we even cancelled a family lunch elsewhere to come back! Pizza loaded with fresh prosciutto, rocket, parmesan ... you TRULEY have to try ANYTHING.

Dante’s is a very hearty, welcoming place and I would recommend. I would only ever go here for dinner as the food is large. Service is nice. Very squished seating area. Pizza is the way to go here.

Stunning place for lunch! I have been twice now and have loved everything I've ordered - the Calamari Fritti, Con Proscuitto woodfired pizza and Tomato, Cucumber and Onion Salad are all delicious and very fresh! The food was prepared in a very timely manner and the atmosphere is lovely, warm and inviting - as are all the staff. I will definitely be back the next time I'm spending the day shopping in Takapuna! My only qualm is the single-use plastic straws served with the drinks; if these could be eradicated that would be great!

We had a very limited time today to check a couple of things in Takapuna and my wife wanted to try the famous home made tiramisu at Dante's Pizzeria that won the prize for the best tiramisu in Auckland .We went at Dante's Pizzeria only for tiramisu but we ended up having pizza with a few cold beers and after that,the best tiramisu with the best expresso coffee.Excellent service from very friendly staff and delicious food.

This is hands down my favourite pizza place in Auckland. Actually it's probably my favourite restaurant in Auckland. Authentic woodfired bases which are so tasty that you even eat the crust. They are authentic pizzas, but they have a ham and cheese option if you aren't feeling adventurous. The also do Pasta, but I can't really speak to that, as in the numerous times I have been, I have never been able to turn down the pizza. It can be a little bit hard to find, but there is an alleyway between Hurstmere road and the council carpark. It's basically opposite the paved open area on Hurstmere road, or look for murder burger if coming from the carpark. If you feel like a sweet treat afterwards there is Bluebells Cakery in the same alley way, or head towards the beach and you'll pass Movenpick and Ben & Jerrys
