C.Every time I visit Divino Bistro the food is excellent and the service friendly. The pizza oven produces the best ever pizza bread. Anna will craft a menu for you - just ask 'What do you have?' or 'What do you recommend?' Then you get the top of the day, freshest food cooked to perfection.

D.I've been coming to Auckland for a few years now, always staying at the Quest in Carlaw park. I am sad to say that this trip was the first time I have been to Di Vino Bistro because I have been missing out. The Grizzly stout was so rich and full bodied and the Qlquattro formaggio pizza perfectly balanced. The perfect atmosphere to eat beautiful food, drink a perfect stout and read my book (which, as luck would have it was Lord of the Rings!).

E.An interesting little Italian restaurant, the owner/chef of this place is a very bubbly and lovely person. She came over and chat with the group and make sure everything is right before going back to the kitchen to cook our meal. She then come back later to see if we liked her food and if there is anything she could improve on.
I've been there for a few times for lunch, tried their pizza, pasta and risotto. In my opinion their risotto is quite good, creamy, perfectly cooked with a good consistency - not runny nor undercooked, I can feel the work the chef have put in it. I find the vegetarian risotto tasted nicer than chicken risotto, the flavour is more balanced and the amount of cheese is just perfect.
On the other hand, I don't really like their pizza, it is a bit too doughy. I have had better pizza elsewhere but after chatting with the chef, I then understand it is not common to have pizza where she came from... so... Maybe that's the reason.

G.This place is a gem. Very good food and service with friendly owners/operators. Ms Boston and her Italian counterpart /chef offer up awesome Italian cuisine with friendly flare and cheerful banter. The Italian chef will come out and actually ask you what you feel like eating tonight while you're pondering the menu, then she'll retreat to the kitchen and whip it up for you!!!
They just got taps and, at this writing, offer up a Kiwi IPA and another alternative.
A nice quiet place if you're on an extended layover and want a little taste of home. Bonus if your staying next door as the internet reaches into their premises.

P.We arrived into Aukland close to New Year's eve, desperately searching for something to do to ring in the New Year. We didn't want to just find some watering hole to drown our jet lag in. And we were pleasantly surprised the most lovely owner of this restaurant effervescent and friendly. Following a brief chat we booked ourselves in to her new year event and had the most fantastic evening filled with good food, good wine and great people. It has my full recommendation.
