R.The BBQ fire rice is soooo good, I really love it.
W.Best Chinese takeaways in East Auckland. My favourite is the Prawn fried rice, but other dishes like the chop sueys and steak ho fan are good also. The portions are big and value for money. Can be busy at times and best to phone order before and then pick up afterwards.
C.I always order the chicken fried rice and the wonton cause they are made fresh from scratch.

j.I would rate as one of the top 5 Takeaways in Auckland. It's a little gem in Howick and the locals are loyal to this great little family owned business that is renowned for it's service and freshly cooked selections. Being a 'newbie' in Howick it's obvious that the East Village Takeaway is always busy but they nurture their phone/pick up orders so well and know their customers. They welcome a new face and you'll keep coming back. The menu is extensive and the pricing is fair in contrast to other takeaways. Give them a call! Personally, I'm addicted to their style of won tons LOL

T.only tried yanchow fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. pretty average. I am of asian descent and there are HEPAS more authentic ones in the area. this place is more for pakeha and/or other people who haven't tasted authentic asian food.

J.Really good Chinese food, they use deep dishes so you really got alot of food for the price. This will be my go-to from now on. Lovely family business who are friendly and generous. Located on the main street with plenty of parking nearby.
J.Love this takeaway place, the food is consistent, lots of food in each dish and it is delicious. The service is good, it is always busy and there may be a wait on food but they inform you of how long when you pay. Our favourite dishes to get here are the Chicken Fried Rice Noodle and Sweet and Sour Pork

T.I had to leave the Howick Village and move to Dannemora. My local chinese was always East Village. The food was always the best.
I have tried many others in the past 4 years and haven't found any to come up to East Village standards. I wish I was local again because it is such a long drive. It is worth it so in future when I want Chinese takeaway I will be making the trip every time.

It was very cheap and there were many kinds of dishes. I've packed a small size of fried noodles and a bowl of fried rice, Even though it was a small size, the amount was large enough to be shared over two days. My boyfriend usually hates Chinese food, but he was very satisfied with that Chinese food i! Thank you so much for allowing me to have a good dinner at a low price. I'm going to visit and eat often! And the staff was so kind and bright that it was fun waiting for food! :)

뉴질랜드에 도착한후 그동안 입맛에 맞는 음식이 없어서 매일 집에서 요리를 해서 먹었는데 우연히 호윅 도서관쪽을 갔다가 지나치는데 굉장히 맛있는 냄새가 나서 뭔가에 홀린듯 들어가게 되었는데 가격도 매우 저렴하고 요리의 종류도 많았습니다. 저는 작은 사이즈의 볶음면과 볶음밥 하나씩을 포장해왔는데 이틀동안 나눠먹을정도로 양도 많았고 함께 식사를 한 남자친구도 평소 중국음식을 매우 싫어하지만 이스트 빌리지 중국음식은 너무 맛있다고 매우 만족했어요! 좋은 저녁을 저렴한가격에 먹을수있도록 해주셔서 너무 고맙습니다. 자주 방문해서 먹을 예정이에요! 그리고 직원들이 너무너무 친절하고 밝아서 음식을 기다리는동안 즐거웠습니다!:)
