N.Staff are amazing and totally on the ball, always keeping an eye on you to make sure you have all you need.
Food was fantastic, I enjoyed all courses. We are pretty picky as we dine out frequently. I would highly recommend this place. Only fault I could find would be the cocktails were not very fancy in comparison to others but definitely packed a punch ha ha

I.My spaghetti was al dente and very tasty. The fried potato skins were great, fabulous olives. On the whole the service was good. My only complaint would be being served spaghetti with only a fork - no spoon to swirl my spaghetti up with. Given this is an Italian restaurant, I wouldn't expect to have to ask for one. When I did ask, the waiter brought me a dessert spoon instead of a soup spoon. We went on Saturday night and it was very loud. Not recommended for a date night.
Overall a lovely dinner.

The best APEROL SPRITZ in NZ. Give a try to their special ones! We came for happy hour and tried them all ($12 each). Our group was taken care so well. I think he was a manager and he was able to cater to our crazy needs such as keto (I know, in Italian place), vegan (!) and vegetarian.
Service was incredibly fast and food is delicious. Great value if you order set menu ($35). Overall great buzzy vibe, awesome food. Just perfect experience.
A.I had a brilliant dining experience here! I'm vegan and my partner is omni - we went to share potato skins and the accouterments were served on the side so we could both enjoy the spuds and he didn't miss out of the cheese.
My main (vegan pizza) was beautiful and the customer service was exceptional. Highly recommend 👌

Came here for the first time to try the seasonal spinach and ricotta ravioli served with burnt truffle butter, sage, hazelnut, fresh black truffle. The ravioli was excellent (10/10), well seasoned and overall one of the best truffle dishes I have had in New Zealand and at a reasonable price (~$27). The ambience was excellent with a cool vintage styled bar.

Returned to Elmos for drinks during their Aleritivo (happy) hour before having dinner elsewhere. All the staff are super attentive, good work! They have a decent selection of drinks during their happy hour ranging from $8-12. I would highly recommend the limoncello spritz!

Having come here at least 5 times I can say that ELMOS consistently delivers on good food, service and atmosphere. I would also suggest trying out their Aperol Spritz and “Who shot the President” cocktail. In regards to food the black pepper spaghetti and truffle shuffle pizza are also high recommendations of mine.
D.The old golden dawn personally I prefer it better selection of beverage's staff not so intent on looking cool but just being the lovely soles they are in my 3 visits I only met nice chilled people love the place
D.Food was alright and $$ if you’re ready for your wallet to cry because pasta portion is tiny so I recommend getting the pizza. Service is alright but atmosphere is cool. Would I come here again for Italian food? No.
The only thing cool was the lady’s washroom, the coolest bathroom views I’ve seen.

Quality of food is premium and attention to detail was more than welcome during lockdown period with a card in our bag thanking us for supporting the business along with the full menu. A.We loved this place. We came here after just arriving in Auckland. We didn't have a booking but the floor manager quickly found a spot for us and our 2 toddlers (because we didn't have a booking the chairs were a bit on the high side for the little ones but we managed. The restaurant does have high chairs for the kids if you're sitting at the lower tables).
The food was also amazing, especially that it accommodated our gluten free and dairy free requirements. The gluten free pizza base was probably one of the nicest tasting bases I have ever had.
The customer service was also phenomenal with the staff treating our little ones like big people and taking their orders. This definitely made our 3 year old feel very grown up and helped her behave well during our meal. The girls were also given Elmo to colour in.
I would definitely come again if I'm in the area!

I've been to ELMOS a few times now as I always crave the brisket pizza.
It was my partners first time and he loved it! You guys were a little packed but within less than 10 minutes got us a table! The staff were 10/10, attentive, relaxed and knew how to have a good conversation. The food we ordered was spot on as always. Thank you so much!

F.Great italian restaurant in Ponsonby that serves awesome pasta. While Elmo's market itself as a pizza bar, the stars in our meal there were the pasta! We ordered the linguine pomodoro, the tagliatelle with wagyu and pork sausage, the spanner crab spaghetti and the pepperoni pizza as part of a kids meal.
The 3 pasta dishes were all awesome especially the spanner crab spaghetti. The pepperoni pizza as a kid's meal was very good size as its basically a full size pizza that is cut into 6 slices. While the crust is good, the pizza sauce was very tangy and sour so not really right for our tastebuds.
That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals as the pasta tasted so good. Service was good too. We went on a very busy Saturday and food was still served within 10 to 15 minutes. Food was quite well priced too especially the kids meal which also comes with complimentary 3 small scoop of ice cream.
Will definitely be back for the pasta again.

A.Very impressed with the venue and the quality of the food. Beautifully presented and full of flavours. The oysters were a true treat !!!! Great place to sit and watch the Ponsonby scene flow by outside and as we left it was really starting to get packed with a very happy looking crowd. Unfortunately they got some bad press by a group of USA haters who were upset there was an election night party at their sister venue - so ignore the low ratings - they are from ignorant snowflakes.
C.First time at Elmo’s and what a great experience! The food is absolutely amazing, some Italian classics and some twists - everything we tasted melted in our mouths. The service is unmatched, the staff truly cares about your experience. Highly recommend!
K.Wow!!! I went with a group of 6 on Saturday night and we all absolutely loved our meals and drinks. We tried a variety of dishes, the standouts for me were the garlic flat bread, potato skins and all four pasta dishes. I can't wait to go back and try everything else! The cocktails were also delicious and the staff very attentive. Highly recommend!

P.My go-to pizza and pasta bar in Auckland! Can’t go past the ravioli, pesto burrata, truffle pizza and potato skins. Also the meatballs are a top pick - quality ingredients and so juicy. LOVE their fun cocktails, such a variety, not to mention the best Espresso Martini I’ve ever had! Great night out all round. Highly recommend. Such a fun vibe and amazing service. Thank you!
K.Margherita Pizza and the Spinach and ricotta ravioli was delish!! Full points on the ambience, service, crowd management and food quality. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is coz my friend ordered a glass of coke and it happened to have more ice than the actual drink which was a shame. Happy otherwise. Will be back here soon for the flavoursome food.

M.The best Pizzas I have had in a long time. Their Magherita pizza and the Garlic Butter flatbread were my favourite. Overall amazing vibe of the restaurant. The short rib was a very disappointing as it was overpriced for the quantity and absolutely no seasoning, they also trimmed to much fat making it very bland.
