Absolutely brillIant pizza - the best I’ve had in Auckland! The Margherita was spectacular and had the perfect amount of sauce and cheese. The crust was perfectly chewy and had lovely pockets of char all over. I wish I could eat this everyday 🍕✨ Edit: I got addicted to their pizzas and have eaten one daily for the past week… 😳

Walked in on New Years Eve with my partner and very grateful to receive a table that they quickly found for us despite the very busy atmosphere. Maître d was bubbly and friendly, and same with the gentleman who was serving us (We hope you enjoy your festival tomorrow !). The food was exceptional, especially the ravioloni. We are still buzzing over our experience there and feel lucky that we came across this place on our trip up to AKL! 10000% recommend :)

My absolute favorite restaurant in New Zealand - sensational service and exceptional food. If you love food you will love Farina. We had takeaways last week and it was absolutely fantastic - joyful food created by people who truly care about what they do.

Nice authentic Italian. The food was great! The pizza is huge, definitely for sharing. We had the Vongole pasta and mushroom risotto which were delicious!! The risotto portion is pretty small for the price but very tasty :)

Really good pizza and tiramisu. Great Italian wine. Nice staff. But music plays quietly and the sounds of the open kitchen drown it out, spoiling the atmosphere, not very cozy seats. Otherwise very good

This is a great authentic Italian pizzeria. It can't get any better. The pizza is napoli style which has a thick border and soft in the middle. Pasta and other dishes are authentic Italian so it's like going to Italy without the jet lag. Staff is friendly and quick service. Love this place to get a pizza fix!

The pizza is absolutely delicious. Also excellent service.But there severing speed too fast we have ate quick otherwise table can't fit.

Fantastic authentic Italian food. They serve true Naples style pizza with quality ingredients for the topping as well. We also ordered the meatballs and the gnocchi which is a melt in your mouth perfection. A busy Saturday night but the service was very friendly and efficient. They really make you feel welcomed here.

Absolutely off the charts delicious pizza - always has been and always will be. The tonno is my favourite and i can eat half of it in 3 mins.. top it off with the best tiramisu I’ve ever tried and there you have the most satisfying Italian dinner out of Italia!!

I got a take away real Italian pizza 'Terlese' this week and a potion of Arancini, which are saffron rice balls staffed with melting cheese. I keep dreaming of more arancini every day now. Too delicious! Farina is my favourite pizza place in Auckland and I plan to have more take away meals from Farina.

For a post Christmas catch up dinner, we decided on Italian cuisine at Farina in Ponsonby as it was a must try restaurant of Sergio Maglione who I’d seen on a hangi documentary. The service was excellent, professional, knowledgeable and attentive as we were recommended a white wine to accompany entree. We tried the eggplant parmigiana with mozzarella and the citrus octopus radicchio salad. Both dishes were amazing, so fresh, herbaceous and vibrant in flavor and texture which complement my glass of Varvaglione. For our mains, we shared pork ragu lasagne with crab ravioli with tomato butter sauce. Both of the mains were exceptional and satisfying. Farina turned out to e a highly memorable dining experience, unparalleled. Highly recommended with distinction!

I had been craving Italian cuisine and decided to try somewhere new before coming across Farina in Ponsonby. I've tried a few dishes so far and they have all been excellent! So much depth of flavour, each dish is an experience in itself. Stand outs for me in particular are Frittatine, Polpette and finishing with the Tiramisu, absolutely superb. This has become my go to Italian, worth every $.

Today I ordered a Pork Bun and a Lasagna. The bun was really amazing. I haven’t taste the lasagna because Im totally full ☺️ But I thing it would be delicious as well. Thank you guys for the good quality and for feed us during lockdown 😊

I haven’t try such an amazing pizza since I was in Italy but then we when here and found another amazing pizza far from Italy! Atmosphere and service was really nice! They do have vegetarian options and is good if you go in a big or small group. Dessert was also good. Price is a little expensive, but I will say is worth it the price for the food and everything! Highly recommended!

The waiter was very polite and offer recommendation on which starter to pick. The food was very nice better than amano. We will definitely come back

Great Italian restaurant with home-cooked fare. We had the ravioli, pizza and fish and they were great. They offer a nice selection of pizzas which they fire in a brick oven, as well as a wide array of starters and main courses. Great for kids/family. Highly recommended!

It was a quiet Sunday night when we went here for dinner. Service was friendly, attentive, and fast. Gnocchi and pizza were nice. Mediterranean salad would have been nicer with balasmic dressing.

Farinas Golfo Pizza is the best seafood pizza around by a long way. You will not see this on the menu but if you want the best seafood Pizza ever? Ask head chef Sergio to make it for you. It's worth it. Special. Very special. Amazing

Farina is always a reliably good experience. We haven’t dined on Ponsonby Road in months and when I suggested dinner there, my dining companion’s first response was “I want to go to the Italian place on the corner.” So off we went and it was delicious and buzzing with happy diners. We started with aracini, which were light and came with a lovely fresh tomato sauce. Following that we shared some octopus in lettuce cups. These came with a touch of fresh chilli and were perfectly cooked. Then the pasta: duck tortelloni for him and tagliatelle with fresh truffles for me. Both were so good and the perfect size, so we weren’t overwhelmed under a mountain of pasta. Farina remains a firm favourite.

Very good local Italian in Ponsonby Road with great service. We had the seafood skewers washed down with some fine local Kiwi wines with a very good tiramisu as a final lap. An enjoyable evening.

Always delivering top quality food and only using the freshest of ingredients. Sergio and his team are genuine nice people who take there food seriously ,if you want to experience what real Italian dining is make a booking here . It can get very busy, so ensure you book a table in advance. The sardines are lovely and I recommend them.

One word... Fantastico! Farina is recognised by the AVPN, meaning that this restaurant is one of the most authentic Napoli style pizza restaurants you will find in NZ. La pizza è deliziosa!!! I had the Margherita with mozzarella di bufala and it was punching with flavour. The atmosphere is great and the customer service is beyond exceptional. I look forward to dining in this restaurant again.

dont get the ham and cheese. big mound of cheese in the middle and was a bit cold when it came out. quite overpriced honestly but wait staff are fantastic. Got 4 pizzas for 5 people but i think 3 pizzas plus garlic bread would be perfect for 5.

Not exactly the Napoli pizza I was looking for, but delicious crush and nice cheese. Only gripe was that the center of the pizza was quite soggy and a bit too much oil in the tomato sauce. Also slightly pricey at $28 for one margarita pizza. Nice Chianti though!

Had a very lovely evening as a thank-you shout out to family. Restaurant delivered on all levels and we very much enjoyed the evening. Only comment is we had booked a table but were allocated a high table which wouldn't be our 1st choice from a comfort level. Food, service, decor and ambience were great.

There I buy my favourite pizza. We ordered pizza for pick up. In 30 min it was done. So crowded and popular place😏.

Best Italian in NZ with no doubt true Italian hospitality, we dine here at least once a month and frankly this place feels like home! Basic rule about group dining , if you are a large group then you need to be on a set menu unless you are at a fast food chain😉

Such an awesome atmosphere here - the buzz of the kitchen and the moody lighting is great. I came here from recommendations from two friends and wasn't disappointed - the burrata was just melt in the mouth as was the carpaccio! And the Tiramisu was such a lovely way to finished off a wonderful dinner! My only reservations were that with the raw market fish starter - the fennel and orange were just too over powering so the flavors of the fish were lost. Also just to note that the lay out of the tables when dining with 4 can be a little odd as its 2 people on the side and 2 at each end - just something to be aware of when booking if you are hard of hearing etc. but wasn't an issue for myself and co. and we all left feeling extremely satisfied. Would recommend for a relaxed vibe, delicious beautiful food without the pretentiousness!

They use high quality ingredients and you can really taste it in their meals. Also the type and quality of cheese they use on the different pizzas is so good!! A bit pricey for us to go to regularly, but definitely worth it!

Pros: Food is excellent. They have the best pizzas in Auckland. Staff are fairly attentive and also friendly. Cons: Made us wait at the bar even though there were plenty of seats available. Obvious upsell strategy of continually asking if we'd like drinks even after declining. Sat us outside with the view of rubbish bins, which wasn't too pleasant.

Amazing food, real Italian food. The restaurant is a vibrant social space with details that make you feel a bit in a modern eatery of the Naples harbour side and when you try the food you get totally transported there. Totally recommend the pizzas here and to end the dinner with one of their amazing desserts.

Great pizzas in addition to a vibrant and friendly environment that is great for kids, families and large groups. There was a period (just over a year ago) which we found their pizzas have changed and didn't taste the same, and we have stopped going for almost a year. When revisited recently, we are glad that their food has revert to the same quality, we have young kids and Farina makes great options where kids can make all the noise they want and not be looked at strangely.

I had the best pizza by far since i am in Auckland!! The crust was fine and crusty so we can enjoy the big amount of toping and the flavour of the ingredients. The staff as well is super friendly and helpful for recommendation.. love it and will be back there soon! Thank you guys

Authentic wood fired pizzas that are superb. Staff were lovely and attentive. Only disappointment was several dishes we tried to order were unavailable at a 6pm dinner service - but those pizzas will always make us come back!

Maaammaaaaa miaaa che roba buona! Best pizza in Auckland! We tried them all and we can easily say that here they know what a pizza should look and taste like! The PorkBun brought us back in Italy!

I went there with a group of friends and we were all very pleased. Fantastic food. Great portion size. I had the Calamari and the Gnocchi with Truffle Oil, both delicious The deserts we had were good too. They have a wood fire pizza oven so the pizza must be a good option. I didn't taste it but some of my friends had and they liked it.

Pizza was really delicious! Can't say much about the other mains and starters though. We found the venison carpaccio and the seafood risotto to be bland and tasteless. Portions were small too. Very pricey indeed.

Had a girls night there but this place is also family friendly, long tables available for big functions. Tidy bathrooms and what I liked the most you can see all the food that's being prepared for you as kitchen is accros the tables. Woodfire oven pizzas available too

Pizza is ok (I’ve tried better ones before in Auckland) and I (my opinion) don’t like the way that you NEED to share the table with someone/couple/family if you want to sit/eat inside. I went there to celebrate my bf’s bday, made a reservation days before and I had to share a table with another couple which I didn’t feel comfortable with.

We had a great experience here. Arrived (unbooked) on a busy weeknight, chatted with owner or manager and were well looked after until a table freed up. Then excellent pizza!

Beautiful food and great service. The pizzas are amazing, the base is everything you want it to be.

Staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. Can’t ask more than that. Sadly I wasn’t really happy with my food (Although I ate them all as I was super hungry). I couldn’t taste the tuna in the Crudo properly due to the excessive amount of olive oil on it. And the clams in the Vongole needed to be purged more. Nearly half of the clams were sandy. I did mentioned this to a staff member so hopefully they do better next time. Even though I wasn’t happy with my meal, I am willing to visit again - I haven’t tried their pizza yet and also their customer service was great.

Only discovered this place recently and fell in love with the food and of course the staff. It's become our fav although we'd frequented the more popular neighbour along the road for decades. This is true Italia and will remain our favourite for a long while.

Great Italian pizza, but a bit pricey Dio vela pizza

We have been at Farina several times. It is always amazing. Great service with a really friendly staff. Food is amazing and with a good selection. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can enjoy an excellent dinner with friends or family. It would seem bit pricey but absolutely worth it!.

Pizza and espresso martini were excellent. The spaghetti was a bit undercooked but still pretty good. Although the food quality is good, the restaurant is designed more like a fast food joint where they got a few long tables and you will have to share the table with other guests if you come in as a couple. If you pay near $30 a dish you probably want to have some privacy but to be fair I didn’t mind sharing the table, what I was disappointed was the lack of consideration where the waiter/boss just casually placed ppl to sit with us without apologising or politely asking us. It was early 6pm and there was plenty of seats also.. The same waiter/boss (coz he acts like a boss and he’s probably is) asked us “are you happy?” and quickly turned away without a slightest sincerity. You guys really need to improve your service.

The toppings are 5 star, good quality, genuine Italian. The bases are 1 star, as they burn them every time. Burnt food has carcinogens. I have had enough, I won't be back.

The best pizza in Auckland. I can't stop thinking about it - light, stretchy base with a crispy bottom and no grease and just the right topping size. Delicious by itself! I've only had the mushroom one so far. I'm yet to try the pasta, and don't like to hurt animals so do wish they had a few more pasta options for vegetarians. Good wine selection, some unique and delicious cocktails (OMG the Italian Stallion) and excellent service.

Wow. We had a great experience here. Very creative and well put together italian dishes. Fantastic and complex flavours. We had a proscuitto starter, Hapuka mains, and pasta mains and a fantastic desert in a Martini Glass, sorry cant remember all the details. Very creative dishes with flavours that worked very well together. Friendly attentive service. Genuinely impressed. 2 Happy customers here.

have been eating here since they opened! Cant get enough. Either the amazing wood fired pizza with the kids which comes faster than you can say it - could devour half a dozen and not feel that I have over indulged! Or simply lose your self in the dishes as if you were eating in a seaside village in Naploli. Fresh simple and oozing with flavor and tastes.

Outstanding Italian food, so good it's hard to find such a good restaurant in Italy itself. I kinda feel I can say that because I lived almost 30 years in Italy. Porchetta bun and pizza con friarielli are must haves.

Had a work lunch here. Yummy food! Enjoyed the lamb and pizza - actually everything. All of us were really happy with our meal and the service was good. Would come back again with a group.

Had a long Italian lunch here on Sunday with JK14. Where to start, it was an amazing afternoon of gastronomic treats. Highlights for me were the Carpaccio di cervo - smoked venison with artichokes, pomegranate and Parmigiano, Octopus salad, and in general there was a great matching of vegetables with the meals. All the courses were wine matched as well which definitely added to the occasion. Sergio and JK provided a great place for people to socialize and eat through a sometimes torrential Sunday afternoon through to evening. Farina is definitely our go to Italian now.

Wonderful service, good food, very friendly welcoming staff and great atmosphere. Parking can be hard to find and it's not cheap, but will certainly make it our family "go to" whenever we come to Auckland.

After eight years living in Italy you can tell the difference between real Italian and fake Italian. Farina, I have found my Italian in Auckland. Arrivederci!

Food is really small for the price. The thing is the taste is not superb, average actually. Chef is a cool guy though. Peroni is diluted. Wine selection is not satisfied. Service all good.

Farina is one of the most highly rated Italian places in Auckland, but I found it overrated. Portion sizes are miniscule compared to what you paid for, and the service was a let down. I've heard you should get the pizza instead, but at least the tiramisu, while small, was a tasty treat.
