Sumptuous meal, beautiful decor, engaging staff. From start to finish everything here was an absolute treat. I had the slow cooked lamb which was to die for, I'd recommend it to anyone. If you're looking for overseas cuisine but wanting to break out of the butter chicken routine, you will not regret going here.

Came here for my friends 30th bday was a great time to catch-up and hangout over some delicious food and drinks. Service was Great although there was a little bit of a wait but everything came out at the same time so we could all enjoy. The Turkish coffee and Turkish Delight my friends were at Awe for how it was presented. Good deal for money, parking was difficult but I parked free nearby the fish market so that was a bonus. Great Night even better when it’s in the City at a Great location at the Viaduct.

Nice place to have lunch with colleagues or friends in the Wynyard Quarter with nice service and good food options. I visited Feriza's with my work colleagues and the food didn't take too long and was tasty and well presented.

Authentic Ottoman dinner. Although we only get given 1.5hr to eat before we have to give the table back, so I couldn't comment on dessert, cos we run out of time... Roasted stuffed mushrooms was a must! Slow Cooked lamb is very tender and great match with hummus and salsa...Kebabs🍢 were fresh, but can be a little dry... Greek Meatballs was a nice dish to have when you are hungry, and love the simple roasted veggie~

My favourite gin (Hendrick's) and tonic. I can't quite remember what else was in this drink but then you can't really go wrong with gin and tonic. I finally had lunch here with colleagues and it was quite tasty - I really enjoyed the mezze platter (which I forgot to take a photo of sigh) but I can guarantee that I'll be going back for more. For lunch on this day I think I had the lamb as my main but I had no room for dessert so watch this space for that because the dessert list did look tempting!

Lovely dinner at Feriza’s. We all loved our food and drinks. I took a star off my review because we didn’t rate the service - they were understaffed, however this might have been due to the public holiday. Two people serving and making drinks is not enough when the place is mostly full. We wanted to get drinks and dessert but no one served us.

Little did I know how delicious the turkish food is, what an amazing place to dine. The ambience is good the food is amazing. Great options for both plant and meat eaters. Recommend it for date nights or family outings or team lunches. The service was good and host and staff were warm and amazing.

Had the most amazing meal there. We love the food. We arrived around 4:15, just in time for the chef to come on duty. Being very early meant that the place was really empty but as we ate the place started filling up. I saw a few take-out meals being picked up. The food was delicious and the presentation at Masterchef standard. I ordered Turkish coffee and the taste was as authentic as I remember having in Istanbul. Feriza's is a new favourite for our family!

Fabulous menu with options for the whole family and for many dietary requirements. The service was lovely and the location is really nice too. I highly recommend the lamb, the prawns and the egg plant dishes. I also recommend the gin list the offer as they match a gin with a tonic or an ale and it's really amazing!

We came for our work Christmas lunch, and the food was amazing! Our waiter was so personable and helpful, he made our lunch so enjoyable. The set menu had enough choice for everyone. I had the Calamari (slightly spicy but delicious), the Feast (Chicken Kebab with rice and salad - amazing) and ended my lunch with the Sizzling Chocolate Brownie - all I can say is OMG. I will definitely be bringing my family here over the summer. Thank you Feriza's - see you again soon.

When we first entered this place we were abit concerned, as there was clearly not enough staff, as there was only one waiter on duty, fortunately there were not too many people. So once seated we were expecting to wait long and be disappointed, boy were we pleasantly surprised, the food came when it was supposed to and it was delicious. Well done to the staff on duty👏

Best Mediterranean cuisine in Auckland CBD. Great fine dining experience and amazing ambience. Loved the hospitality of the entire team, especially the owner Suchi who was very accommodating for last minute requests and made the birthday party a great success. Highly recommend the Feast, Jordanian lamb and Greek meatballs. Kids loved the activity bag that comes along with the Kids menu!! Many thanks team Feriza 🙏 😊

The food was delicious, really tasty, fresh and flavourful. The service was a bit slow but they were clearly understaffed so we understood. Food took almost an hour to come out but was worth the wait.

Let's start positive; the welcome was lovely and the food absolutely delicious; will be back for that. We had a couple of issues at our table of 6. One entrée had to be reselected due to the kitchen running out of something. Unfortunately that entrée came after we had all finished ours. The other bigger issue was our mains arrived with our entrées! What...how? We specifically said entrée and main. Sent then back and the owner came over to apologise and explained out waitress had been there 3 days with very little experience. Ahhhh, it makes sense. Plus the kitchen appeared to be understaffed; we could see a bit of stresshowever it did not fine through in the food. I wish for a restaurant so totally understand the issues with staff at the present time. And the place was full...busy! The owner did give us a comp round of drinks plus removed the late entrée. I felt that was very fair. So, although some members of our group would not return, we would definitely as I believe they can redeem themselves. I also want to eat that tagine chicken & falafel again! OMG. Thank you and see you soon.

First time tried Turkish traditional food and wasn’t disappointed. Delicious food and place really good with amazing interior, seating plan was bit odd but not bad. Service guys were really good except the female waitress who lacked the sense of hospitality. Overall experience was good and it’s recommeded place to visit if you want to try some traditional Turkish food.

The restaurant itself is very inviting with its plush lounges, fairy lights and ornate decor. The location is also very convenient, close to public parking or a short stroll from the viaduct. Additional bonus points for its convenient online booking system. The food was quite decent but more casual/ basic than the decor suggests. The food and service was quick, but disappointed that our starters and mains arrived all at once (about 8 dishes), and the kitchen continued to send out plates even though there was no physical room on the table. This left us rushed to finish dishes in order to clear space for the pending item. I would also pass on the cocktails next time and stick with beer / wine.

It's a really hearty Turkish feast right here at Wynyard Quarter! The calamari was a great choice of a starter, followed by a beef on the grill and a chicken kebab for the mains. The restaurant ambience is a nice balance of casual decadence--not too casual yet not too dressy. Loved it.

Fantastic food and cocktails, wonderful staff and insanely beautiful interior. My only small issue was that our menus were dirty as well as our waiters shirt. Definitely would recommend otherwise! 🙂

Beautiful restaurant and setting. Very luxurious and bold in the deco! Service was also really good and fast, though considering it was a wet-ish Monday night wouldn't have expected it to be busy anyway. We ordered the platter which was more than i expected in terms of portions, then we had beef cheeks, slow cooked lamb and eggplant as mains. The lamb was pretty good, well seasoned and not too dry. The eggplant was prob better of the three, maybe i just like some spice in my food - this wasnt at all too spicy (and im a mild spice eater only) so it was perfect. The only downside was the beef cheek as it was just waaayyy too salty, would have needed some mash or something to tone it down. Otherwise a good experience.

Really nice vibe, there is plenty of seating but it feels very spacious. Seriously good food, and heaps of vegetarian options. The staff are all very lovely and friendly, we had a great experience. If you're after dessert I highly recommend the kunefe - it was so delicious, I'll definitely return to try it again.

Came by for dinner and wasn't sure what to try since everything sounded tasty. I ended up going for the Adana Kebab, a lamb kebab served with chips and salad. The kebab was really flavoursome, nicely spiced and seasoned. The chips and salad went down well with the kabab, sauces and bread. It was really tasty. I also had the kunefe for dessert. It was almost at the edge of too sweet. the ice cream and candy floss actually added flavour to the kunefe, which was tasty and crispy. The restaurant itself looks very elegant, with the open dining area topped with the chandelier. The kitchen was also quite open to the dining area so you could see what was going on there. Service was friendly and nice.

I'm vegan, so finding somewhere that has lots of vegan options (that aren't just, salad with no dressing haha) is a dream, and Feriza's has everything I love! The interior is BEAUTIFUL, it felt very regal to me. The staff were so warm and welcoming and of course, the food was fantastic. I loved it!!!

Havent had good Turkish food for a long time in Auckland Order a chicken kabab. And it was very nice and cooked perfectly My wife ordered the Iskander and it was like eating it in Turkey. I havent tasted the same dish in NZ like here Service is very nice Defiently recommend this place

Atmosphere was great! I went with a couple of friends and we were seated and served instantly. Staff was very friendly. The food was Average though... I ordered the fish risotto and the consistency was perfect but there was so much mint that it threw off the entire dish which was a shame. My friend got the chicken and it came out with a whole chicken which was quite dry and again - average. For the price, average quality food was just not worth it

Lovely setting with intriguing dishes on the menu. The waiters and waitresses are very kind and help us through the menu, that had many unfamiliar Turkish treats present. Food was enjoyable but service not terribly fast and food, though tapas style, didn’t always satisfy our winter chill cravings. Would visit again, but not in near future.

Feriza’s has become the place I go to before events at the nearby theatre. The food is good and there are some good wine options. The service can be patchy but was good tonight. I haven’t been here in a long time so the service may be good all the time now. I had one of their signature dishes: dolma (stuffed pepper) with halloumi. It was very tasty and, along with a glass of Peregrine pinot noir, was perfect for a cold wintry evening.

All 3 of us loved our meals and we will be back. The Salep Turkish drink is also particularly yummy - it is a sweet drink that somehow manages to not be too sweet. This evening we dined here and the food was absolutely delicious! Upon ordering a Middle Eastern desert my husband and I were discussing how close it is to the one we have back home and as my husband was gesturing his hand in a 50/50 motion the owner saw his gesture and came straight away to enquire about our thoughts and whether we can guide him as to how to make it taste similar to the one we have, and as I advised with what needs to be done he instantly took the plate away and went over to the chef and stood next to them until they perfected it to our standard and the result was yum! Wow that is genuine customer service right there we need more of this in New Zealand. Thank you for making our dining experience so lovely.

We popped the in on a Sunday evening as first time diners to Feriza and we weren't disappointed. We shared the Mezze plate and Prawn shish-kebab. The baba-ganoush was excellent, lovely pide Turkish bread, well cooked chicken and prawns and fresh salads and dips. Reasonably priced and though it was getting busy, no delays and friendly service. Would happily go back.

Food alone was great no complains. Service was shockingly slow. This place lacks the staff/waiters and very unorganised. At one point all 3 servers were just this one table and left us to wait 45mins to even place a dessert order. Now price to quantity was actually really bad. I was actually still hungry after spending $120 or my food digested after waiting so long to be served. I have been to other middle eastern restaurants with similar food and i think they were a better value for money. Heads up to pay 2 hour for parking before heading in if you want entrée mains and dessert. Just a suggestion, have ordering cards at each table so people can order and you just collect the cards if you going to be running with such short staff.

We had such an amazing time at Feriza’s - lovely atmosphere, super friendly service and incredible food that looked as beautiful as it tasted. A table of 8 and every single one of us loved the food, including some very picky eaters! They not only provided a proper chair for my toddler but also gave her a little colouring in pack that absolutely made her day! Most places make us feel like a nuisance for having a child with us but we felt totally welcomed and that was just the cherry on top.

My partner and I tried this marvellous place for the first time tonight and it was delicious! The service was beyond attentive and helpful, the atmosphere was inviting, warm and pretty. Ferizas offers an exquisite feast, the entrees were presented beautifully and there was lots to eat! Very filing we struggled to finish the beautiful main dishes so took them home. Food and drinks were absolutely delicious. Ordered the feast with halloumi and the chilli prawns and couldn’t get enough. Nice Turkish beer on the menu and the old fashioned was delicious. Highly recommend the loukoumades for dessert- left me wanting more. Probably the best dessert I’ve enjoyed in years. Nice ambience, decor and the music was unexpected but enjoyable. Lovely staff too. Would love to go back again

The food was good but the portion was too small for such a price. The yoghurt drink was very watery, not very authentic turkish. There were people smoking and that made thw whole experience a bit anticlimactic. To be fair we told the staff and they talked to the smokers. But things like that should be done by default and not only if someone complains. The Bathrooms were not very clean either. All n all, the price doesn’t match the quality and service.

My first experience of Turkish cuisine and absolutely loved it. It has bright well lit ambience, and inviting feel. The staff friendly and prompt in service. Food excellent especially the Feast, Dolma & Fattoush Salad. The starter platter was delicious and serving size good for 3. Meats Halal.

This place was a real find after a recommendation through friends. Great traditional Turkish food, and the prices are also not too bad. The service was amazing as were the staff and you were never waiting too long for you food to come out once you had ordered it. Definitely will be returning on my next visit to Auckland.

It's rare to find a nice classy Turkish restaurant in Auckland and this one rates pretty high. Being of Greek descent and the two having very similar cuisines I am probably very critical when it comes to the food and this was a pretty good meal. I am kind of surprised that there aren't more people eating there but I have a feeling this has to do with location more than anything else. I definitely recommend giving this place a go.

I had never been to Ferizas before but booked a table for 8 for a birthday dinner. We all had an absolutely amazing time, the waiters were super friendly and fun to talk to, and the food and decor was beautiful. I would 100% go back again and 100% recommend this place.

Turkish food basically is simple and fresh, not so at this restaurant. Out of the three mains and a mezze platter one main stood out The Ottoman Eggplant. We were impressed by the decor and how busy the place was already when we walked in at 6:30pm for our table. The waitress was friendly, attentive without being too disruptive. The food was good and if you're a vegetarian there will be plenty to choose from. One hour into our dinner the hostess came to our table asking if we are having desserts as they've booked our table for another 8pm slot. At that point we were just about to order our desserts and explained I was not told about the time restriction at the time of booking, the hostess said we've been sitting for two hours already. To my surprise when I explained and reconfirmed (1) we were ordering desserts hence still spending money, (2) we've only been there an hour, and (3) I was never told we had to leave by 8, she just looked at me and my dinner group as if we should offer to leave. She stood there for a few minutes pondering life and then abruptly walked off without apologising. Average spend is about $45 per person for food and one drink. Food is designed for sharing. Conclusion: Not sure about the service of that hostess - she was a killjoy. Reasonable food with great choices. Don't skip the dessert have at least one between two or three to try.

Our waitress did not know what Raki is, and we were told that the two Turkish red wines that are on the menu are no longer available and that they need to update their drinks menu. However the food was fantastic which is why it got 4 stars. And the waiter that took our dessert orders was very enthusiastic. Will definitely visit again.

The cons - The food was pretty hit or miss. The dish I ordered (halloumi) was yum but overall around the table, it was 50/50. The lamb tasted like slow cooked stew. Our waitstaff seemed new/junior/ not completely professional. The food is very overpriced. You're basically paying for the location. For that kind of price I expect much tastier and consistent food.

What a refreshingly new take on Turkish restaurant design! Thank goodness the owners didn't fall for the faux "old times" theme. Restaurant is a perfect mix of contemporary design and Turkish influences. Food was beautiful, and most importantly tasted genuinely Turkish. The babaganuche was the best I ever tasted outside home. I enjoyed my Turkish coffee served in something most westerners would think of as traditional coffee set. To top it all of, prices are really modest given quality and size of servings.

My partner and I really love Turkish food so were very excited to try this restaurant. The falafel and hummus starter we shared was great however the mains really let it down for us. The lamb was so salty I could not finish my dish. We enjoyed the decor of the restaurant but unfortunately we were not wowed enough to want to come back.

This must be the 4th time this spot closes and reopens under a new name with new decor, in about 18 months. This one is probably the best try so far. Food is good but nothing too special. Service is passable, does seem to have quite junior staff waiting tables (that being said it is a new restaurant so maybe they just hired what they could find?). Having been to a few more of the nazar group restaurants, this is probably my least favorite of them so far in terms of service and food. Decor is absolutely beautiful though. I think if they improve service and the menu, it will probably survive (I think that street corner might be cursed).

Mystical Feriza's!!! Feriza's Kitchen is an experience that is difficult to forget. Set in the modern Wynyard waterfront location, the restaurant is a hybrid of traditional and modern Turkish cuisine. The decor is out of this world and every detail from the stunning copper cutlery to the beautifully open kitchen adds to the experience. For entree we shared Felafels and Hummus with Mixed Olives and Feta as well as the the Sigara Borek. The Felafels were beautiful and tasty with just the right amount of the smooth and creamy hummus to go with it. The Sigara Borek was a delight to eat, with just the perfect crunch and smooth texture combination. For mains we shared some more mezes and this time we tried the Gozleme made by Feriza herself. It was filled with plenty of feta and spinach- that would make any vegetertian like myself smile with joy! The experience of the restaurant did not end there, the desserts were original and far from the usual, I would definitely recommend the Kunefe, a layered cheese sweet pudding served with hazelnut and pistachio ice cream. Overall the service was excellent and the waitress was very attentive and regularly came to check on the table. The love and passion that has gone into creating the restaurant is evident. Feriza's is a true jewel.
