Stop reading the reviews and go! Lovely setting, friendly service and most importantly delicious food. We had the set menu for 2 of us and it was 100% worth it for all the Lebanese flavours and variety of plates. Especially as there is not much of a middle eastern cuisine scene in Auckland, this helps fill that hole successfully. Very much recommend it. Can't wait to return again. 😋

Love the vibe and the food at Gemmayze St in St Kevins Arcade. My favourite dishes would have the be their favourite hummus and their chicken shish with juicy charred chicken thighs on saffron rice is spectacular!
They are really busy, so make a booking unless you happy to wait or get turned away! Good cocktails and desserts too!

What an amazing and vibrant place! Nice tables and cutlery, friendly staff, and very comfortable chairs. Love that the music was not too loud and our group could engage in conversation - a proper catch-up! We decided to have the "Jeeb" menu and I must say I did consider un-buttoning my trousers at the end of the meal. We were served 6 courses, but each course had a few elements. We started with some snacks comprising of potato balls, chickpea something, and rolled fish (I really apologize for the description but there is no way I can remember everything now). Then the starters were a mix of hummus (of note, I had heard this was the best hummus on Earth, but that is not something I agree with), labneh, bread, fried cauliflower (this was just outstanding) and 2 other dips. The entrée was a beautiful piece of pan-fried fish on a bed of spinach and potato foam - really delicious, maybe the best dish of the night. The mains were a mix of octopus (beautiful flavour, but slightly rubbery), steak (gorgeous temperature and scrumptious jus), roasted pumpkin with parmesan sauce (just yum!) and salad (think it was butter lettuce and hints of cardamom). The first dessert was flambeed (I think) pineapple with ice-cream, followed by a rich mini-chocolate cake with ice-cream + poached pear with coconut ice-cream and a crispy sweet hollow element on top. And now I wish I had written down what the staff said when they described the dishes... I highly recommend Gemmayze Street and will defo go back!

I've been here for dinner years ago but this occasion was the first time I tried the Jeeb menu ($65.00 per head). The dishes on offer were fantastic in flavour - was drooling over the rice that came with the lamb (I actually had day dreams about it - SO delicious). I wasn't that impressed with dessert and there wasn't enough Lebanese bread in my opinion. I think the experience of a Lebanese hot beverage with dessert would have been ideal. Staff could be more friendly but perhaps this was because they were busy. I'll be going back regardless because the food is worth going back for!
J.
What an amazing place. The food was absolutely delicious, specially the chicken and the hummus.
D.
Mashallah by far the best Lebanese food I have tasted in New Zealand 🤤 Highly recommend the hummus and Jiddi Sour Cocktail.

By far hands down the best Lebanese food in Auckland. My friends and I got the $65/pp menu (FYI prices overall were reasonable for the quality of food) where you could try a variety of the "today's chef pick" food, and boy did we make the right choice (because the food was so good, it would've sucked if we had to pick only 3-4 dishes). Every dish we tried, the food was fresh, immaculate, full of flavour, and presented well (if you look at my pictures, you will know what I mean). It almost felt like the dishes kept getting better as they came. Even my Iraqi friend who was with me and has religious high expectations with this type of food said it was the best he's tried in Auckland. The ambience of the place was different and nice. Had indoor + outdoor seating, both were very cozy and is a great place to take friends/colleagues/visitors. The service level was impeccable as well; friendly help, great conversations, and its also the first time someone shook my hand when I entered & exit a restaurant. Not sure if this is coincidence because we had a good host, but I would suggest keeping that consistent because I thought it was cool and showed a lot of respect for your guests (which is reciprocally appreciated ). Would come here again, and I think I just found my new Lebanese spot! Enjoy! You wont regret it!

Delicious complex flavors. Cool vibe, lovely waitstaff.

Our meal was faultless, the cocktails were fabulous. The Labneh was among the best I’ve ever had. There were a few new items for me and a few old favourites on this visit. Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Generous portions. We shared a good number of dishes between two people. I only wish I’d had room to try more
C.
Went for dinner last night and had the 4 course set menu, everything was delicious and we were really impressed. Such an awesome collection of plates for each course, and just the right amount that you don't stagger away from the table but will be happily full. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff, checked the time when we left and didn't realise how long we'd actually been there, such a great night out!
s.
Great mezze menu, amazing hummus. Only downside was the quantity/price ratio for the Samak Nayeh, great flavour but $20 for less fish than you'd get from a sprat is a bit on the nose.
J.
Prior to eating at the restaurant, i was wondering if i should go. Someone i know used to work there and they told me to join them for dinner. It was one of the best experiences i ever had.
Warning: keep your stomach empty if you're thinking of doing the jeeb. It's so worth it. So delicious, the food just keeps coming! The service, atmosphere, and food was just impeccable. They have seasonal dishes so sometimes the menu online is not the same on the day itself (i did a bit of research before going). I would go there for special occasions or celebrations.
I wish i took more pictures but i was too engrossed in the meal and experience. That's how wonderful they are.
A.
Updated review: I went back here tonight and I gotta say I'm super underwhelmed. The jeeb menu went up in price but they shrunk on all of the portion sizes, the generosity of their previous serving sizes are long gone. The food itself missed the mark on a few dishes. If you go through my reviews you'll see I used to frequently mention gemmayze as a benchmark of a good restaurant, I don't think this will be the case going forward
Original review: I absolutely love this place. Get the jeeb menu everytime.
S.
Chefs kisses!!! Just one of the best dining experiences you can have in NZ imo. Kept forgetting to take pictures because o was too busy scoffing the face. It’s best to tell the staff your dietary requirements and let them just bring dishes out. Just don’t go tooo hard on the yum starters because there’ll be so much more food coming.
L.
My second time here after 2 years.
This food is PHENOMENAL! Seriously unreal. We came with group of 11 and had GEEP.
Smoothest hummus that you will ever have. Great Falafel with pickled radish and tahini. Also never had better cooked broccoli and then fish ever. Slow roasted lamb was like a butter. And the knafeeeh, only thing not a fan of the passion fruit on it. The old school way is just bulletproof.
Otherwise great staff, wine (Chardonnay), first time I saw fresh Zatar oregano in NZ (used in Z'atar stormy). Overall amazing! Was full till next day!
M.
Great food, great service, we had the set menu which was the perfect amount of food for the two of us, would definitely recommend you go there!
M.
We tried the fish, chicken, beef and lamb. One the best tastes i’ve had in auckland. Best chicken i’ve tasted and beef too. Hummus was amazing. If you like different beers try the Lebanese IPA, its got some spicy flavour. Service was very average for us. We waited for someone to come to out table for a long time so we could order desserts but no one turned up so we left.
T.
Gemmayze Street in St Kevin’s Arcade has been a highly anticipated dining experience for me and upon arrival, I was instantly impressed by the attentiveness and readiness of staff to cater warmly to inbound patrons.
The beverage menu was very beckoning therefore I ordered a glass of Lebanese Syrah and it was exquisite!
Since the menu is intended for sharing, we went trying the highly recommended hummus with Lebanese bread as well as the falafel to start. I loved the hummus, it is probably the most outstanding hummus I’ve ever tasted.
For a main, I had the shish chicken which was skewered apricot glazed chicken served with garlic cream, Lebanese pickled vegetables on bulgar wheat. This dish was exceptional!
For dessert, or rather in lieu of, I ordered a Yallah!, a Lebanese espresso martini and that was so fragrant and smooth. Highly recommended!
D.
Super cool restaurant at the end of a lovely arcade. We did the set menu... It was fantastic.
F.
Food is great - especially the seasonal vege dishes that came with our order. Seriously tasty and a great atmosphere. Though on the more pricey side - but still worth it.
M.
Extaordinary food. Lebanese food is a culture and art in itself. I am very glad that I turned up and asked for a table. It seems always quite busy. And the staff was so friendly. More than perfect.
M.
This was a flavours extravaganza! Every single dish was delicious (we ordered the degustation menu for 2 but I reckon it’d have fed 4 people easily), I tried Lebanese wine for the first time which reminded me of the Spanish tempranillo. The waiter new the menu inside out and he made the experience even more enjoyable. We had a lovely table next to the window with views to the Sky Tower, very romantic!
V.
Best middle Eastern food ever, maybe best meal I've had in Auckland. Everything was full of flavours and the staff really cared, especially asking for our opinion about their new dessert, the Rose Parfait which was 4.5/5 for me
A.
Went to Gemmayze St last night for the 1st time. We got the JEEB which basically meant we would get 9 (I think?) dishes brought out to us off the menu. I love being adventurous with food, so I was pretty excited about not needing to order anything and being surprised. Their hummus is next level and I would have been happy just eating that with their taboulii and Lebanese bread! The Khyar (Lebanese cucumber w coriander emulsion) was soooooo good! And the sesame seed coated corn was also surprisingly delish as I loath corn 😂😂 No photos of the rest of the food but I highly recommended if you love Lebanese food!
C.
I had a lovely (solo) dinner here while on a work trip. The staff were wonderfully helpful and made me feel at ease (which is important when dining alone!) While i was seriously tempted by the “jeeb” menu option - consisting of multiple dishes - I wasn’t hungry enough for a big feast so instead opted for a couple of mezze dishes, the falafel and the cucumber. Some of the best falafel I’ve ever had, fresh and crispy, complete with dipping sauces. The cucumber on buffalo curd was delicious, a nice blend of creamy and crunchy textures. This was the perfect amount of food and I washed it down with a refreshing housemade soda. Located in the funky St Kevin’s Arcade, this is a buzzy restaurant, with casual vibes and sophisticated food. I’ll definitely be back for the full menu next time!
R.
Gemayzae Street is a happy venue where people enjoy their food.
Marketed as Lebanese food with a K Road twist. Yet, this is neither Lebanese nor Syrian cuisine; it is middle Eastern food with a western perspective.
Gemayzae has echoes of Palestinian Street food presented as a seated event. I like the funky presentation; with a tapas invitation to share.
Please don't expect traditional Levantine cooking here. That's not this place's mission. Enjoy it for its open heated food simplicity. I did.
S.
Everything about our experience here was incredible. Firstly, the bottle of Syrah from Lebanon was incredible. The babaganoush was like nothing I've tasted before, smooth and smokey. The falafel and cauliflower just melt in your mouth. Great range of vegetarian options as well! Definitely coming back.
L.
Had a delightful meal here - loved the silky smooth hummus, the stuffed courgette, quail, and lamb shoulder. The service was superb.
B.
Surprisingly phenomenal dishes. Very unique but all extremely enjoyable. Favorites were definitely the cauliflower and the sumac butter lettuce. Will be back and recommed to anyone looking for a warm Middle Eastern dining experience!
N.
Food was great... Quality ingredients and very flavoursome. Can easily come back.
Slow cooked lamb and chicken shish favs.
J.
A great dinner experience. Currently only running the "Jeeb"- a four or nine course degustation. Highly recommended for a good night out 👌
T.
Food was absolutely delicious! Well presented too.
Service is professional & kind.
I was reading the reviews over a terrible host man, but we had a female host & she was lovely, welcoming and professional.
Only reason we gave 4* is the price.
We found the pricing is extremely high for a very small(including the mains) but over priced.
2 adults 2 kids...2beers and $180 less....
I really would love to go again...but will have to rethink it because of the high price.
J.
Epic as array of fine dining! Definitely get the Jeeb to get a diverse mix of food!
M.
Highly recommended, excellent modern take on Lebanese flavours. The food is best shared in order to get the full flavour experience.
r.
Amazing food, absolutely one of my my favorite restaurants. Great service and knowledgeable staff.
D.
Jeeb for 2 was fantastic.
S.
Very pricey for small portions but you cannot fault the flavour and service. Beautiful plating and glassware. Great for date night. I recommend getting 2 - 3 dishes per person and sharing if you want to get full.
M.
Great dining experience- friendly efficient serving staff. The food is very good.
S.
Amazing food. Nice layout. Hidden gem in the city. Superb service. The cauliflower dish is delicious and the bread too good for words. You'll want to return within a short space of time!!
H.
Loved it! Recommend the shish, falafel and the spring? rolls
A.
Hands down best dinner experience in Auckland. The food is fantastic. Have not found a dish I can fault. The chefs are incredibly talented. The wait staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. There is something about the atmosphere and flavours that I haven't found anywhere else yet.
D.
OMG!!! Our taste buds were DANCING!!! This is the best food in town and the best dinner out we have had in at least 2 years! Lovely attentive, friendly staff. We trialed the Jeeb set menu to encompass all flavours on offer. For $65 you can tantalize your taste buds with how I can only explain as 'erotic' flavours' of food. Simply overwhelmed by each dish which simply had you satiating for the next dish! Lebanese food is now our FAV!!!! Highly recommended!
K.
Honesty. Never had Lebanese food before. And may taste buds are still vibrating with delight. A must try when your in Auckland. Thanks to all the team.
G.
Absolutely fantastic food on Saturday night - the chicken was off the planet, and the lamb dish was excellent, too. The Lebanese beer slightly odd (think overtones of Green Ginger wine) but overall very refreshing. The Maitre D' was very helpful, and the wait staff friendly and attentive, despite the fact it was very busy. Highly recommend.
T.
I had a beautiful dinner here last week. All of the flavours were balanced and very delicious. The setting is fun and well located in St Kevs Arcade and you can grab and drink at Low Brow ahead of time if there is a wait!
The only feedback that would make this spot even better for small parties would be having two sizes for popular side dishes such as the hummus or tabbouleh as we had so much!
J.
Hands down one of the best middle Eastern cuisine experience I've ever had.
D.
We had the Jeeb taster menu and they delivered the most amazing plant based version for us, our meat eating friends were jealous of what we were served.
The wine is an absolute treat too.
K.
Very nice food and excellent service
J.
Amazing experience. Service was top notch and food some of the best we've had in a long time. Highly recommended.
S.
A superb introduction to lebanese food. Expert service and stunning food.
G.
Awesome find. I just dropped in for a glass of wine. They have a good range of Lebanese wines to chose from. Great atmosphere and attentive staff.
J.
This is my favourite restaurant in Auckland - the food is delicious and the staff are always so friendly and attentive. It's totally worth the $65 jeeb menu as well, you'll walk away very full and happy. On a couple of occasions, I've also been in a party including people with dietary restrictions, and the team effortlessly provided for everyone.
D.
Visited Gemmayze St for first time last night. Everything about it was awesome.... ambience, food and service was exceptional. It felt like we were dining somewhere in Europe!! The place was packed for obvious reasons so would pay to book. Totally impressed and will definitely be back. Sorry no photos ... this time👍🏻
A.
Absolutely loved this place. The cocktails were beautiful, and very quickly arrived at our table. The food was to die for. The flavours creating culinary parties with every bite! Very attentive service and in a great place. Being able to dine, drink and manage to speak to one and other in an obviously very popular venue was such a treat.
Thank you!
J.
Great meal in Auckland. Would go back and recommend to friends for sure.
D.
Very nice Lebanese coffee! Went with my vegan sister and had an excellent meal, loads of vegan options that were all yummy!
m.
I know they didn't plan to do take out on the week the completely rebuilt restaurant was due to open- but seriously last nights meal was incredible.
If you want a meal plan try mine, hummus, homemade bread, falafel and the best ever roast potatoes with marinated squid.
C.
Gorgeous place, friendly staff, tasty cocktails and yummy food. Had the Jeeb menu.... the lamb was DEVINE
F.
Fabulous food, our group was new to Lebanese cuisine and decided on the banquet. The friendly staff described it as a party for your stomach. How right she was, the selection wonderful. The courses were well paced which gave us time to savor every dish. Each new plate was delivered to our table and given a description. We all enjoyed the Lebanese hospitality and food, all agreed that we would definitely visit here again.
R.
After trying 2 or 3 times to get a booking we finally managed to secure a table on a Thursday night. We wished we'd had time to do the full tasting menu, but with only an hour before a show we opted for a selection of starters and mains. All plates are to share, the presentation was immaculate and the ingredients super fresh and delicious. Can highly recommend the octopus with taramasalata and the chicken shish - amazing flavours and totally delish! we will definitely be returning to sample the full menu experience.
B.
This is about the 6th or 7th time I’ve been. I started going at lunch time. The food was amazing well presented and seemed to have a cafe style. I went last night. We wanted to go around 7 but there are two sitting 6pm or 8:30pm. Unfortunately we couldn’t all make the earlier sitting. I have to say the atmosphere was cafe style and very warm no air con (it was a hot night but no fans or anything). The noise was deafening. The waitress who served us was pleasant but busy and distracted. She asked some of us if we wanted drinks. She took a couple of orders and walked off leaving the others waiting to order their drinks. Also for 7 people there is no choice of menu. They bring a selection. We didn’t start eating til 9:15 which seems strange as we booked and there was no choice so nothing to stop the food coming out earlier. The vegetarian food was amazing especially the cucumber, peas on what seemed like goats cheese. The lamb also was slow cooked and moist and tasty. I would give it a five star if the restaurant had better service and had a nice ambience. But for one drink each (some non alcoholic) it cost just over $500 for the seven of us. So I’ll stick with three star.
N.
Hidden gem!
Great service and food. Hidden at the end of a shopping arcade. Great view of the sky tower.
L.
Went there to celebrate our anniversary. What a pleasant choice! Carlo, our waiter, new every single item in the tasty menu and was very attentive. We had a nice table view to the Sky Tower plus the environment of a cozy arcade. The food was absolutely fantastic. Home made, traditional and carefully prepared, for a good price.
Definitely recommend for all occasions!
K.
Tasty food! My friends and I ordered 9 dishes or so and every single one was delicious. Service was mostly good though a slight miscommunication where we were told two different types of fish. And it's a bit cold - heritage building means there are some very large windows that don't really close well.
We'd intended to get the jeeb but decided to create our own and did not regret it.
L.
Great setting in St. Kevins Arcade; the food was excellent, we shared a number of plates between 4 and all dishes were interesting and very tasty. The wine list with the Lebanese wines is also interesting and all wines delivered well with quality and flavour. The service didn't quite come up to the same standard - we arrived at 2 minutes to 6pm to be told that they didn't open until 6 and could we wait; apparently their system wasn't on line so we couldn't be shown to a table - this took 10-15 minutes!!! Plenty of staff but slow to come to the table for drink and food orders. Hopefully, it was just an off night because we enjoyed the food and location.
G.
Everything we ate was amazing, service was perfect too. Great view of the Sky Tower from where we sat, this place has a great feel to it and was surprisingly busy for a Wednesday night.
S.
Mezze dishes are small and overpriced for Kroad, so that is why I give only three stars. Falafel, hummus and bread was yummy. Tiny cauliflower portions. Couple of people at my table were hungry after ordering their dishes. Alcohol is expensive. Za'atar and Fat Camel are better value and you get a mezze platter. Decor at Gemmayze Street is elegant.
S.
Really tasty and fresh food, lots of subtle flavors. We opted for the 'jeeb' set menu and were overwhelmed by the volume and variety of food. Had to take some away.
Lebanese food was never really on the radar, but have come away from the experience as a big fan.
Service was friendly and attentive also.
D.
I love their food! Yummy yummy, during the day you can have a nice view of the sky Tower too. But you won't take your eyes out of the food. It's beautiful, fresh, full of flavour. Awesome place for vegetarians :)
L.
Took my two kids here tonight. Didn't live up to my expectations. The food was good, particularly the scotch fillet. Food was reasonably well priced for the quality. The wine list was very overpriced compared to other good restaurants. Service was very average. Took 10 minutes to be offered a drink. Food menu wasn't explained in any way. During the meal I ordered a Cabernet Sauvignon (remembering there were at least 4 or 5 on the menu). The waitress said they had one blended with Chardonnay. - clearly confused. I said, the not the white wine, the Red Wine please! On paying the bill It turned out one of the more expensive $20 glasses had been selected. Hard to accept this when the server clearly had no wine knowledge and made no effort to help me narrow down the selection.
Good experience paying the bill. I mentioned the wine issue and was refunded the difference without hesitation.
Overall I won't be returning, which is a real shame as I wanted to love this place! There are now so many high quality restaurants in Auckland I think we can do better.
N.
It was my first experience with Lebanese food and the perfect introduction. I had the $65pp banquet, I think there were 5 courses, all delicious and a nice and casual atmosphere. A fun activity for groups.
P.
The food here was fantastically well-balanced and flavoursome. I had the chicken shish, which was tender, with great texture and acidity added by the accompanying pine-nuts pickled cucumber respectively. The baba ganoush was rich and packed a great zingy punch to it, served with warm Lebanese bread. A truly fantastic meal, beautfully presented! The service was also attentive, with friendly staff providing menu recommendations and mindfully topping up water when appropriate.
T.
Carlo and the team at Gemmayze St make every visit incredible. They are so accommodating, service is great and the food is out of the world. My favourite place to dine out in Auckland.
B.
I live these days in Egypt. I'm very familiar with food from this region. Gemmayze is pretty authentic. I really enjoyed it. I would highly recommend an evening here. Great food, ambience and extremely attentive waiters. If I weren't returning to Egypt in a few days time, I'd definitely be back.
C.
How do you not fall in love with a hummus like this? Creamy, smooth, flavourful and the chickpeas were a great textural contrast. We had a wonderful meal here, amazing flavours that I haven't really experienced in Auckland, lovely service and staff were always present and looked after us without being intrusive. Try everything!!!!!
M.
Wow ! Amazing food and lovely waitress ! I was freezing due to loosing my coat and they provided me my own heater ! The food was nicer than any middle eastern food I’ve had and the Lebanese wine was also delicious . Great options for vegetarians.
D.
Everything is so yummm 😋 especially the scampi 🍤 dish. Can I have more?...
N.
Straight up the best hummus I've ever had. Yoooooooozaaaaa
A.
Best Arabic food I've ever had. Presented beautifully and staff were very friendly.
R.
Food is incredibly delicious and plentiful. Service a bit slow to kick off but once it was rolling it kept rolling! A second serve of bread would be nice to use up all those amazing spreads.
C.
great view however if you want just a drink and chips not the place to choose it's food looks great but very alternative
B.
First time earlier in the year = great 5 stars. Last time 3 stars. Menu changes, the lack of a flat bread with the hummus and aubergine and the unshareable risotto dishes were a real let down.
A.
Food of the highest quality. None of the 9 dishes we ordered could be faulted. The chef understands flavour profiles and how to pair them. Excellent!
F.
The best food we've had for a looooonnngggg time. Maybe the best ever. What a talented chef, friendly staff and food. Come experience them, have a corporate dinner, but book in advance. Thank you Gemmayze street. Will be back
s.
Hmmm...First the positives. Good food. Some really nice cocktails. The beer selection is pretty good too. The biggest let down for me was the portion size. We opted for the "jeeb" , while the food was really nice I was left hungry at the end of the night. The portion sizes need to get bigger.
D.
Divine - loved all that was fished up. Left it to the servers to order and focussed on enjoying company food and atmosphere.
R.
We loved this place and visited regularly and saw how it evolved !
Recently we have released portions are getting smaller and smaller and prices are hiking up!
The new menu only have some highlights and the rest of dishes are very small carb dishes!
Giving it another chance and see how it goes!
H.
This place is excellent.. Yummy food which is so fresh and tasty. Make sure you ring to book ahead as does get full very fast. We loved how Gemmayze Street is a family owned restaurant. We didn't book ahead but the lady at the front of house let us know there would be a short wait so we hung in the bar for 5 minutes before we got a table. Food did not dissapoint.. Loved it and we will be back.
M.
Probably the best Lebanese food in Auckland. If you're in a group Jeeb is a great option, you get to sample a huge range of food and it's great value too. The staff are attentive, helpful and clearly care deeply about the food they serve. Really nice location with great views of the city.
K.
Had a lovely dinner, not enough time for the set menu but lots to choose from on the al la carte menu. I'd recommend going with a few people so you can try more of the food. Chicken shish, lamb tartar, fattoush and hummus are a must! Staff are top notch too. Really attentive and knowledgeable. Will be going back
J.
Absolutely amazing experience. I love this place as the food is sensational. My only gripe (in humour) was that we couldn't stay longer and eat more! :)
P.
Lebanese cranked right upscale. Great flavours, great meat and vege options. Leave room for dessert. Outstanding.
K.
Great food but seriously Gemmayze Street needs to work on their service. We waited over an hour for our food to arrive after the waiter forgot to put our order though. We enjoyed our meal when it finally arrived but will think twice about whether to come back again or not. An apology plate of hummus could’ve saved this review but sadly the staff really weren’t great at dealing with their mistake.
N.
We celebrated our daughter's graduation at Gemmayze Street. It was perfect. Fantastic food, service and setting. The "Jeep" menu was outstanding and easily one of the best restaurant experiences we have had.
D.
The food was some of the best I have ever had. The service was extremely good as well it seemed like all the servers were passionate about their job and loved the place they were working for. Absolutely recommend to everyone I see
D.
Amazing food! Chicken was cooked to perfection! Drinks and desserts - fabulous! Great ambiance and service! 100% recommend! A must visit!
S.
Why did I not know about this place? It is up there with the best food I have eaten anywhere in Auckland or elsewhere for that matter. Fantastic atmosphere and amazing service. I will be bring all my friends here and telling everyone about it. Highly recommended.
P.
I really enjoyed my meal at Gemmayze. The flavours really popped and the presentation was delightful. This restaurant has a most unusual and original wine list with many wines from the Bekaa Valley. I also like dinning under tall ceilings as it’s much quieter and you are able to hear your guest. Don’t miss the copy of Michel Angelo’s “Moses” a few flights of stair below Poyton Tce
V.
The food was fantastic. We picked 4 items of the mezze menu to share. All delicious. All of us were sated. The lamb leg was the highlight. Closely followed by the hummus.
G.
Hummus and Babaganoush were smooth and delicious. Cauliflower was surprisingly amazing as well. Great place for shared plates and cocktails
R.
Ok. This is an expensive option for fancy Lebanese. A shame that a flash kebab outlet gets such a prime position. Since St Kelvin's Arcade on K Rd has had its makeover all the funky interesting shops have pretty much gone only to be replaced by standard stores. The food is good. The service is good from the table staff point of view. The Maitre D should take some happy pills. Overweight grumpy middle aged woman of Pacific descent not someone to meet and greet. If that's the owner it won't last. A pity as it was once a 5 star rated Cafe doing Breakfast and Lunch. Disappointed to see the place sanitized and dull. Plenty of other places to have such a restaurant. Leave K Rd alone. It's funky and the most interesting area in all of NZ. Too many straight people ruining the colour and diversity of the neighborhood. Go down to the waterfront. Sad. Won't be back.
J.
Excellent food & very knowledgeable & friendly staff, the "jeeb" option for groups is a must, with great a great variety of dishes & they certainly don't let you go hungry. Highly recommend trying this place out.
N.
Absolutely delicious and fresh Lebanese food in a funky relaxed space in St Kevins Arcade. If you don't know what you want, i would highly recommend the 'jeeb' which is a huge variety of super tasty plates... make sure you go there on an empty stomach!
M.
My husband and I went to Gemayze street for our anniversary and we got the set menu - best decision!! We left with happy tummy’s and told everyone about it. Will definitely be back, thanks guys 🤩
A.
You can't give this marvelous Auckland treasure anything less than 5 star, you can travel up and down the country and your taste buds will still want more Gemmayze. Do yourself a favor, go with a group, order the Jeeb, and enjoy the ride.
c.
Situated at the back of St Kevins Arcade, owner-operated Gemmayze st absolutely blew me away with not only delectable dishes, but fantastic service and a relaxed ambience. The Mezze style menu meant our group got to experience all kinds of new and exciting lebanese flavours, leaving with us with a full belly and happy heart! Highly recommend the Octopus and Halloumi!

I've been here three times now and each time was amazing, the food is absolutely incredible and really unique, the staff are friendly and knowledgable, happy to talk you through the menu to help you choose (pro tip- all of it is really good).
M.
To be honest, this is one of the most underrated restaurants in auckland. The location is truly unique, the staff are really cool, the food is authentic, interesting and immensely delicious. What's more they make a hell of a negroni. Just dont be surprised if you get carried away and blow your budget a bit. It's a must try tho for sure. Thanks guys.

Thanks for a wonderful night on Saturday with our work team. You handled my mixed-up booking hiccup so kindly and professionally, I was very grateful. The food and atmosphere were wonderful and our waiter very attentive. Thank you!

This meal literally changed my life. If the baba ghannouj was the only think I could eat for the rest of my life I truely would not mind. I'm honestly pretty upset now because nothing will ever be as good as this. 20/10
