What a great space in the Auckland International Airport! Located in a mezzanine area above the main departure hall, where most of the cafes, shops, and bars are, the Glamp Grounds is a surprisingly large area to go to before you fly out! The restaurant is a wonderful space for families, groups, and even just the average solo traveller (like myself!). I had about 30mins or so before my gate was open so I decided to pop upstairs for a drink and was so charmed by the place I also ordered the Bok Choy and Mushroom dumplings as a snack - they were so fresh and flavoursome, I wish I had time to order a full course! The space is so open, fresh, and has a cool summer/beach camp vibe. There was heaps of families there enjoying the play spaces and free games. But also quite a few young solo travellers, who like me we're making use of the numerous charging outlets, and cute tables with great views to people watch. There was no queue for food or drinks. The staff were super friendly and efficient. It's now going to be my go-to hang before I fly 🙌🏽

Awesome bar/restaurant at AKL. I had the crumbed snapper and was not only the price great for an airport but very good and huge portion (2 fillets of fish - I eat a lot and I couldn’t even finish it). My waiter Seema was so lovely, polite and smiling the whole time. All her colleagues I interacted with were also very nice. Keep up the amazing service, you girls are doing a great job! Also good to note that the space is big and was not crowded at all unlike other options at the airport 😉

First saw this place under construction a year ago and now getting to have a walk through and a brew; Tuatara on draft along w basic Monteith's and such. The atmosphere is themed throughout which is pretty nice, and extremely spacious. Nice vibe. Too late to try the food

The Frozen Margarita was excellent. Its a nice, spacious, place with a view outside. The international departure screen inside the venue is supper helpful. Nice staff too :) thank you. Will definitely be back.

Just got off a 12 hr flight from LAX to Auckland and have 3 hr layover until we head off to Sydney. Found this awesome hangout in the Auckland airport where we could have a fresh “draught” beer and the kiddos could run around and burn off some pent up energy. Perfect place to hangout during a layover!

After a long tiring day in the humid weather of Auckland, I stopped by Glamp Grounds for a cheeky bowl of fries before my flight. Not only was the fries fried to a crisp, refreshing and the sauce being wonderfully succulent, I was served by a lovely young lady called Jackie with such a beautiful smile, enthusiasm and excellent customer service. I will definitely be returning here once again!! Highly recommend to all!

Have been to Glamp Grounds on a couple of occasions and have always been happy with the service and the food provided. In fact, I now pick out Glamp Grounds specifically as I was so happy with the service and food provided. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly and attentive to my needs. Fantastic food and friendly service. My 7-year-old daughter wanted to order by herself and they were so patient with her. Food was awesome. Got the Great Glamper and French toast with caramelized bananas. Delicious.

We visited this amazing place during our layover. Coffee and food was really good and Pratham made sure we enjoy our stay. Our 3 kids found themselves fully entertained in the spacious, comfortable and clean playground. It defitively made our 4 hours wait at the airport the best we've ever had. There are heaps of charge stations for devices and there is a lot of space between the numerous tables. Great job!

Had the best experience this afternoon service was not what you would usually expect in this location as previously visited places. Usually feel rushed and in attended to. But today I was served from a lovely lady named sifua who made us feel welcomed and had such a good way of greeting customers. She was efficient and friendly will definitely be back again.

I was a recent customer at Clamp Grounds and I was served by a wonderful Samoan lady with the beautiful flower on her ear. she gave me a warm welcoming and showed me to the amazing menu. her kindness and joy brightened my day. keep up the good effort.

Delicious food, fast friendly service and cool handmade wooden play area for the kids (far away enough from the adult seating area to not annoy those enjoying a quiet adult beverage). A great way to wait for your flight. Highly recommend.

Went to try out the playground / chill out zone. Wow what an awesome addition to the airport. Just what you need and perfect the most don't know it exists so is relaxing. Toddler love it! Cant wait to try out the food offerings next time. Bar service was fab for the preflight drinks.

I was waiting for my flights in the Auckland airport after waking up early in the morning we walked pass this cafe and saw this gorgeous looking asian girl with glasses, she woke me up instantly. It was at that moment I decided to eat in the cafe just so she can serve me. She sat me down with a massive smile on her face which brightened up my morning. I ordered a drink and some fries also wanted to ask for her number but I didn’t have the courage to do that at the time, if you see this review could you please help me ask for her number? That will be much appreciated! Oh also the food was good. :)

Tucked away in the hustle bustle of auckland airport was this colourful and lively place called glamp grounds. As I walked in I was welcomed by this oriental beauty, I asked for her name she said It’s Jackie with a massive smile on her face. She sat me down, took my order and my heart. Shortly after she brought me my food but I could not take my eyes away from her gorgeous face. I waved her goodbye after finishing my chips, she waved back with a smile. It was an unforgettable experience, the food was top notch and the service was definitely 10/10 :)

What a wonderful spot if you've got time between flights - best place in the airport. Get Rachel to make you the best margarita you'll ever have - and make sure you try the ginger caramel pork bites! Highly recommended.

Absolutely fabulous food, especially the bok Chou dumplings & bbq chicken kebabs. We have eaten at many airports but this place beats them all with fresh & exciting flavours, well done Phi san (chef) we will stop again when passing through.

The menu wasn't clearly marked with gluten free options, but Sifua Esekia (waiter) made the extra effort to find out what was safe for me to eat. She was friendly and attentive, which made my experience even better. Delicious burger at a reasonable price for an airport location.

Dropped in to have a coffee & it was so worth it. My mocha was made by sifua & it was prefect. Her customer service is one of the best I have experience in all my travels. Most people don't give you the time of day but this lovely lady did. Thanks again sifua 😊

Great service and food. Congratulations to Chef Mayank for a beautifully cooked breakfast. Often hard to get bacon crisp but it and everything else (mushrooms tomatoes eggs sausage rosti) was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Only feedback I would give and have discussed with Pratham who served us was it may pay to do a half sized of the same dish for those who want something smaller.

I have been travelling through Ackland Airport every two months and always stop in for a beer and a serve of salt & pepper squid. The service is excellent and the squid has always been outstanding. Highly recommended!

I will highly recommend Sifua- 5 stars staff. She makes the best coffee in the airport and her demeanor is always smiling and warm. The best person to encounter and meet. 💖

I don't think anyone expects much from airport restaurants....you are there to waste time.... not eat good food! Get yourselves to Glamp Grounds....chef Phisan makes beer battered mussels with pickles, tartare and fennel.... an amazing way to end a fab holiday!!! Crispy batter soft juciey mussels!!

Coming right out of security, was attracted to the colorful lights on the second floor. Decided to check it out and it was decent. Food was good and the service was fast and friendly so I couldn’t complain (Sasha in particular) have a good one, peace.

My family and I were here on sat, we were greated by a young man who was so full of joy and bubbly. Made us feel fo welcomed, he said for us to sit and he will be over to take our orders, table service which we didn't expect at an airport, he approached us for drinks to give us time to look over this amazing menu we orderd and Ben not only greeted us but took our order and deliverd our drinks and food and cleared our table ben went above and beyond and I will remember you and the beautiful service he gave me and my family

After a month of travelling to what was meant to be the best coffee grounds in the world I had a quick stopover at Auckland and popped into visit this little gem of a shop and found the best coffee I'd had all trip. Nice view and a bit tucked away from the chaos.

Located on the second floor after security, this place is great for a quick bite or beer. They serve a variety of food and drinks, also coffee and tea. There is noticably also a small playground for kids. The views from the windows towards the tarmac and the second floor is spectacular.

I was just in here earlier and my coffee was the best I have had, the latte was super creamy and delicious and had a heart on it, which I could tell the biggish white guy with the extra bright bubbly smile and spark (sorry don't know his name) who made it put extra love into it, I wanted to tell him but I could see he was very busy making more super yummy coffees, thank you glamp grounds I will be back, still smiling

The appearance looks inviting but we had a mistake with our order and also the chicken burger was very dry. Both the bun and chicken were dry. Not what you expect for the high price.

The young man Ben behind the bar tonight was amazing, to be so normal when I explain my server allergies to him, he double checked with the kitchen to make sure what I couldn't eat or have was in what I wanted, usually I go to places you know and they give me that look or laugh, tonight I felt normal thank you Ben and my chopstick salad was so delicious

Real retro kiwi vibe, excellent coffee shack. Boutique kiwi beers and kiwi classic soundtrack, you will be homesick even before you get on the plane!
