I have been to the Gourmet Burger Brew and Kitchen a few times now. It is by far the best burger in NZ. I am vegetarian and find it hard to get a decent burger anywhere. There is a choice of veggie burgers but I would recommend the sweet corn fritter burger. I drive nearly one hour from NW Auckland to get the burgers here. As stated in previous reviews the burgers are huge but easy to eat. If I could, I would give 5++++. The only recommendation would be to upgrade the service.

Just GREAT, considering what you pay. We ordered a couple of burgers, some chips and a couple of jugs of beer - the burgers were huge, but easier to eat than your average gourmet burger because of the shape/ size of the bun. The chips were nice, and so were the beers. I'd highly recommend Gourmet Burger and Brew Kitchen if you're in the city and looking for some quality food, at a really reasonable price, with a good atmosphere.

The burgers here are much better than most of the burger franchise in Auckland and are very big. They need a lot of support atm because on top of the hospitality challenging year 2020, there are some road works in front of them as well

Super cool small local place with great burgers and beer. Great prices too. $62 for 3 burgers and 3 beers. I had the Hawaiian burger and it was fantastic. Loved the ambience too.

I think that I have just discovered the best place to have a proper burger. It speaks flavor! Every bite was DE LI CIOUS! 🤩 The staff is friendly and the service is amazing! This place is cozy and it has character. The ambient was perfect (THE MUSIC IS THE BEST) Will DEFINITELY come back here (I apologize for the two bites on the first photo, but I wasn't able to withhold myself... It looked YUM!)

Opposite new Msocial hotel & next to NZ natural ice cream. A 2shoplot Burger which has seatings inside & outside. 4 person picnic table waits customer who prefers fresh air & watch the world pass by. Pick a menu & go over to counter to place your orders. Friendly & attentive staff service each order. Pick your own non-alchololic drink from the fridge. Food served in under 15 minutes. Burger & ingredients were served on a 6" fresh bun. Chicken with avocado and veges is a crowd favourite. Another good choice was chicken and bacon. Fejoia, pear and elderflower drink was a nice balance of flovour. Traditional lemon soda has a strong sharp lemon after taste. Local andand B going for NZ$5. Nice food.

Very nice place! Loved the burgers but mostly loved the prices. They have a 5$ beer offer which is a bargain. Had the Hawaiian burger, super fulfilling and tasty.

Burgers were good, on par with other burger places I town but much bigger, however I'd skip the chips next time as they weren't salted. $5 beers was pretty damn good so its a shame it's not great for large groups.

Great burger, the blue vein burger was yummy - ‘home-made’ style burger pattie which ‘masses it’; it had a sharp taste from the blue cheese -perfect and a good gourmet item. Friend ordered a jalepeno/hot burger; it was not spicy enough and the jalapeños were not good ... said they were low-end quality.

Burgers are huge and delicious. The girl who took my order was friendly and polite but unfortunately she was alone and the place was at full capacity so she was running from one place to another. I saw the manager treat her badly when she was doing her best. I felt really sad for her, hope the manager learns how to be more respectful with his staff.

We went in for the $20 burger/fries/beer deal. We saw some people eating the burgers and they were HUGE so we decided to share which was a great decision! More than enough for 2 people, I don't know how anyone could eat a burger that size without help! It was one of the best burgers I've ever had. The homemade tomato relish and mayo mix was delicious and sitting out on the patio in the sunshine was great.

Great burger, the bread was a little much but it had great flavor!

Great burger and the serving is big. The chips is a bit overpriced ($4) for the serving. The $20 burger, chips and beer is a good deal on Mondays to Wednesdays.

I have been to so many burger places, especially being from the states. This place has one of the best burgers I’ve ever had AND it’s soooo affordable considering how much you get! 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an awesome burger.

A great casual place for a burger and an affordable beer. They are big burgers though, so you may want to under order. The corn fritter burger is brilliant!

First went here, when they were doing $15 jugs, this time round back again there jugs have only gone up $2. Great location, we sat out front to people watch and drink our cheap beers before heading off again around the city 🏙 😁

The burgers are very big and delicious. The service was very good too. We had a miscommunication with the waitress and we only got 2 out of 3 burgers we thought we ordered. We went and paid for our third and we had our burger within minutes. Super fast. I would highly recommend it.

Not the best burger in town for me, but fairly big. Potato chips not included in the portion. Meat was tasty and nicely cooked. Toilets available, just ask for the key. Staff not too smiley. Place is busier during lunch time.

Great price and portion, especially considering being located on the water front. All bottle beers are just $5 and there was a reasonable selection of non-larger beers from Moa and Monteith's. The Ostrich Burger was a hit. Simple but effective menu. Good value for money. In terms of pure burger taste and quality there some other joints that beat it out.

Bigger selection of five dollar beers than I've experienced yet in auckland which makes it a great watering hole for uni students or if you just need a cold beer. Seating is limited but service is friendly enough. The burgers here aren't going to win any awards but they are great value for the price, cheap in comparison to other bar food. Recommended for those that need a cheaper alternative and uni students.

Fully recommend. We had the falafel veggie burger (with their chili sauce) and the chili beef burger. One of the best burgers I've eaten and really generous portions. I'll be a regular from now on! Great job :) Get yourself here to try it out!

Very very good price, really great food and decent beer/prices. Surely the only place to go if you are in the city near the viaduct! Its become my go to place for catching up with a mate in the city. Of course not as good as Burger Burger (which is the absolute best burger joint in Auckland), but it is certainly the best bar in the area to get both food and a drink! They are a little lax on the sauces would be my only complaint.

Now that was a burger, I had the Kangaroo burger and my brother had some beef burgers. They are well portioned and pair so well with beers. It is in a trendy spot and provided overall good service, not great but good service.

Great food but shocking service at the till. They have a Monday to Wednesday special for a burger, chips and beer but you don't get told about it when you pay at the till. I found out about it after I paid and I then queried it but they refused to do anything about it!!! Absolutely shocking way to rip customers off!

This place absolutely rocks! Great burgers, very reasonable prices, and jugs of great beer to boot! Staff were friendly, even when a terse looking person took their burger back to the counter, no doubt due to some pathetic minor quibble. Seriously, who the hell sends back a $14.50 burger meal? Some people just need to be slapped.

Juicy burgers, which are BIG! I had the cheesy Angus and fries, the cheese was overpowered by some cheesy sauce which exploded when I made it to the middle of the burger. So it got messy pretty quickly after that. Nice burger though. Fries was too much, should have just got the burger. A burger and fries would sort out two people easy. And its smack bang near the Viaduct and shopping areas.

Came here while strolling through the city with my partner when we were looking for a place to have lunch and we randomly chose this place which was an absolute good choice. Great customer service!!! Amazing gourmet burgers that were so fulfilling that I had to finish it even though I was full because it was so delicious lol You have to try their unique ostrich burger!!! Very satisfied 😊

Burgers were great but not as big as they claim. The bun makes it seem much bigger than it actually is. The $5 bears though is a great deal and would go for a good bite to eat. Keep in mind you have to order your meal at the register and not wait for someone to come to your table. Another thing which I found a little disrespectful was seeing what I presumed was the owner yelling at one of the waitresses in front of the customers. That was unprofessional and she did not need to be berated in front of the paying costumers. So for that and the buns I would only give the place 3 stars. If that event didn't happen it would have been a 4.

Not bad, but possibly suffering a bit of an identity crisis. Burgers are indeed very big, but having had two of their signature burgers recently -they lack flavour a bit. Buns were not that fresh and the massive beef pattie didn't appear to have much in the way of seasoning. Service was polite and efficient. Atmosphere was lacking with a strange mix of cluttered decor and what appeared to be an endless Latin American music playlist. (As much as a burger joint needs atmosphere I suppose - but they are trying to place themselves as a premium/gourmet burger joint.) Would try again to see how they're going.

Cheap beer and nice burgers! 🍔 🍺

Just happened to walk past this place and fancied it as a beer & burger for $20 stood out. I opted for the Ostrich Burger, and my colleague had the Wild Pork Burger. We had a short wait for our meals to arrive, nice size portions, we both enjoyed them. Staff were friendly.

Boasting best and biggest burgers in town? Yep. You found 'em!! Cozy crowded, great taste and not as expensive as you would think. Maybe ol' Al P will visit again next time! Oh, the sent of that burger!

Really nice burgers, good size nice buns and tastes great. Would recommend this over the burger boy just down the street hands down. The Coffee is also worth a try it's surprisingly nice even for take away.

I stopped in here in the morning for some caffeine and breakfast-y item before catching the ferry to Rangitoto. At lunch time the place was packed, so I suspect the burgers must be spectacular. Outdoor seating and great little spot.

Huge portions, fair price. Had the Blue Vein burger and really enjoyed it. Staff were friendly and the seating had smoking Friendly zones which is always appreciated! Will go again.

The place for $5 beers and humongous burgers. They have some good stuff in that beer fridge. The burgers put the Maccas and Burger Kings to shame. Overall, the food is decent, except the fries which were soft and spineless the one time I had the guts to order them. (Soft fries are dodgy and best avoided.) If you're in the mood for carbs though, you'd be better off asking for the bacon wedges. Can't really accuse the ambience of being a bit all over the place. After all, you are getting to have copious amounts of beer and bites without breaking the bank.

It was a very busy lunchtime when we visited. Service was adequate - just. Chicken burger had way too much sauce (dripping) and messy to eat. Napkins were in adequate. Probably a bad time due to high number of diners.

Burgers are really big. The kid burger is in the same size of a normal burger in other burger shops. The meat and vegetables are fresh. It could be more delicious... but overal is fine. The fries smell like smoked oil... I think the oil was not fresh

Awesome, big burgers. Have never needed a side of chips. All bottled beers are $5, and it is a very good range e.g. Monteiths ( Original is my favourite beer), Tuatara, Asahi. Great staff! I love this place.
