Reviews of Grand Harbour
N.
It was our first time here. It was absolutely packed full with people but we were taken to our table with only a few minutes wait (we did book, which I highly recommend). Food came around quickly and a good selection of dishes were on offer. I thought it was very expensive compared to other places I've been. It cost $180 for 3 of us (that excludes drinks) and we ate a normal amount of food, nothing excessive. If it wasn't so expensive I'd have given it a 4 star rating.

Came here a few times and it’s probably the top dim sum places in Auckland CBD ! Big fancy venue and great tasting food. The only down side is that some staffs don’t tell you what’s in the trolley , they expect you to know or just for time convenience hence don’t tell you.
D. D.
Food and service for cost of experience is next level. Usually heavily patronized, make sure you secure your reservation early on. They are most accommodating. The cuisine is a taste extravaganza.
K.
The food is delicious. I've been there a few times with my uncle and my boss. The staff usually know who they are because they go there all the time. Good job guys.
C. M.
Amazing food with big portions. Very fast service but granted it was relatively quiet when I visited. Clean and I thought well decorated and presented. Would definitely recommend.
M. C.
Food was very good, but reasonably expensive. It would have been 5 stars, if it weren’t for the practice of providing menus without prices.
V. W.
Great, authentic HK dim sum!! Food was served hot and fresh. Best time to visit is weekend despite big crowd. Weekdays will see smaller crowd but not so warm dim sum. Also tried many Cantonese dishes, they are authentic and msg free. Higher price than other places but very well worth it!
K. T.
I've been going to this restaurant for special occasions since my family love chinese cuisine. Never have I ever been disappointed by the food or the service. It is a top notch restaurant if you want to have a large gathering for family events.
J. A.
Super busy restaurant because all food is such perfect. All ingredients are fresh and tastes are superb. A bit high but worthy enough. Booking essential and not easy to find a parking lot.
P. S.
Good food although nothing exclusive. Terrible terrible service. The waiters don't seem to know what to do. Orders go to the wrong table, long waiting, food is above $30 (most of the items). Will never go again for dinner. Heard lunch is good. But dinner was a bad experience.
H.
Not so many options dim sum in dinner, but it all tastes great.
K. N.
Excellent yum cha, rivalling some of the establishment in Sydney.. quality ingredients, plump dumplings, morrish egg tarts, yummy mango pancakes, all items that we tried are all well made and i definitely going to come back for more... Downside: it's quite pricey for yum cha, abt $100 for 2 ppl
D. M. H.
One of my favourite yumcha places in Auckland! So much variety and food is always fresh and flavoursome. My favourites: Scallop Shumai (a fancier version of the traditional pork shumai) & Century Egg Congee (the best in town!!). Also, try their Portuguese Egg Tart (also known as pastel de nata), a creamy and custardy treat & milky and slight sweeter than the traditional egg tart 😋.
You can book online to secure a table ahead of time and they run the restaurant pretty efficiently so you don’t usually have to wait for long. 👏👏Another favourite of my yumcha places is HKD Seafood restaurant on dominion road.
A.
Favourite place for yum char. They have amazing veggie dumplings & prawn dumplings. I recommend this place for larger groups to get good value for money.
R. M.
Service initially could have been better. We were the only ones waiting to be seated (table of 3), and she said she has no idea how long it will be. Like absolutely no idea at all. Unless it is your first day, then I'd agree that you probably have no idea. Instead we said nothing and we only waited about 2 minutes to be seated LOL. Just couldn't smile, couldn't look positive. It was almost an inconvenience we were there at 12pm.
The food however was excellent quality. The food came out all at once, which in a way was good. But also they were queuing to ask us what we'd like almost speaking over each other. Oh well, the delicious food makes up for it.
Also it works out to be more expensive than other yum cha, but worth it for the quality.
J. H.
Good quality food, paid parking is OK next door in the same building. Price is on the dear end of the spectrum but one of the posher place to hand out for yum cha. Toilet facilities are outdated and dirty during busy time. Staff are friendly and hard working.
D.
Good variety of food even after 1pm. The food was really good and surprisingly the chili oil was really good! Total bill was as little more than expected but guess its what u pay for a good yum changer. Too bad there's no free parking for this place.
A. B.
Had family dinner for 11 people, very expensive but should say yummy and delicious. A platter of fruits was given free to us. Just fair.
F. T.
Busy in the mornings for brunch but the food is amazing. Dinner is quiet because it is a bit pricey but is very tasty. We had the peking duck 2 course and it was great, tasty and filling.
S.
So pleased to be back and eating yum cha at Grand Harbour again. Tasty dumplings, bbq pork/duck, fried rice, to just name a few. Definitely worth a visit
T. K.
Amazing place for YumChar! They have varieties! Varieties is what I like when you go to a restaurant. From their mains to the desserts, everything was spot on with loaded deliciousness. The cashier was very groomed and well spoken for an Asian food place. Would visit again Grand Harbor. Love love love.
M. G.
Not busy when we were there. A good location/restaurant that can accommodate big functions. If you parked in the car park next door, you will get discounted rate, so that is helpful as finding a car park in the area can be quite hard. Food is expensive though, but given the location, I would say it is fairly priced.
J. Z.
This is a very popular yumcha restaurant. They don’t take reservations on Sunday. We were lucky that one of our friends arrived 15mins earlier than our set meet time. So when we arrived, there was table for us already. The food is good. We enjoyed the food and the time we spent together. You can’t expect it to be a quiet restaurant - people are happily chatting with each other. I was told celebrities dine there too.
Photo by our youngest friend/foodie- the rest were all busy eating lol
C. P.
As usual a very good place for a large group.
We have been going to Grand Harbour as a family for over 10 years.
My only criticism would be that there staff do sometimes forget to fill tea pots.
But definitely excellent value and a fun experience.
S. S. L.
Great food, vibrant atmosphere.
Food was quick and tasty. Some staff pushy with there food selection trolleys. Have to say no like 3 times. A tad pricey but all round 4/5 for me. Week days better then weekend. Weekends way too busy and food not consistent coming out to tables. Kind of makes you lose appetite when waiting.
J. H.
Delicious Yum Cha for lunch. We called ahead to "book for 1pm" as I had heard you can be left waiting a while. We only had a 10 minute wait and then the food was flowing straight away. The food was good with great variety and a great taste. The atmosphere was also busy but pleasant. Will go there again.
C.
Great food and quality service. Other people complaining are clearly out of their mind.
R.
Food was good. Love the dumplings. Service not the best.
D.
Yum cha at Grand Harbour is a Auckland tradition for many and it didn't disappoint when we went for lunch. Lots of choices and great atmosphere. Highly recommended.
A. O.
Great experience. Great atmosphere, lovely food, superb service and friendly staff.
A.
Great dimsum place. They have a lot of varieties of dimsum and taste wise, simply authentic dimsum. The restaurant is very spacious for family functioning. And they give you free parking to the Maritime parking lot if you eat there. It is quite pricey, but if you wanna have good dimsum, it is one of the places to go.
A.
One of the best yumcha restaurants in Auckland
R. L.
Great food. not a cheap/budget restaurant but surely everydollor is worth it.
J.
Great Yum Cha for lunch in town. Different menu for dinner
r.
A bit more expensive but one of the best yum cha in Auckland that I have tried.
W. H.
Everything a restaurant should be with a beautiful establishment and friendly service even with ten hungry Westies.
The food was delicious , we ordered a platter of different Asian dishes and, cold beers. We ate like kings to our absolute limit ... with food still riding around on lazy Susan we were beat.
G.
Nice food and atmosphere. However, the table service was poor and very slow which impacted on the free parking incurring extra charges. Paying the bill was also made difficult due to their system.
B. M.
The restaurant appears have upgraded their seats since the last time I was hear, to a much more comfy style with new high quality leather. Aircon was on at the right temperature and blowing strong. Everything went smoothly. I celebrated my 31st birthday here with family, and when the gentleman who served table 22 knew about it he went out of his way to serve us drinks and get our food out right on time. Best of all he even got me a special pudding cake free of charge as a desert for our whole table to share, inreally appreciated that. Please thank him for his generosity and excellent service! (You know who you are)
D.
Haven't been there for a while. dinner with friends,
Good service,
김.
you should bring chinese friend LOL
He let us know
J. S.
Classic Auckland Chinese restaurant, best with a group as portions are large at dinner and massive variety for yum cha lunch.
D. A.
Good selection of dishes. The quality of the food wasn't too bad.
A.
Great place for Yum Cha. Was introduced to this place by a work colleague. Love the variety of food. Chicken wings are a must try.
M.
Went here for Chinese New Year for Yum Cha. The food was gorgeous, far too many choices to mention. Great service, real traditional cuisine. Very busy, but that was expected, loved it though.
C.
My favourite go to Yum Cha place in Auckland. Tasty dumplings, nice ambience and great experience for the whole family 🙂. Highly recommended.
M. G.
Pretty average yum cha place. The service is good, but the food isn't all that. Dumplings are fine, everything else bar some of the greens feels rushed, greasy and not very well loved. Better places in Newmarket, for a better price.
S. P.
Always great food and great vibe one of my all time faves
D.
Great food but the service is not too good. If you come for lunch, it is hard to order dishes from the menu. The restaurant will prepare the food in advance and bring them out in a trolley, you will pick that food if you like.
R.
Arrived at peak time on a Friday lunch and waited about 5 minutes for our number to come up and to be seated. Food started coming immediately and each dish was really yum! Small issue there is never enough sauces. We went to the small station but they had run out of soy and dishes for the chilli. Excellent value for what we had though and the trolleys of food just kept coming. Always a winner.
D.
Definitely the best Yum Cha anywhere in the world
S. B.
Had a pretty good meal. Entree of squid and dim sims. Sauce for both came out a few minutes after. Mains ho fun dry which was a bit lacking in meat and sweet and sour chicken. This restaurant is huge and pretty expensive. Service was good but to be expected from such a large establishment. Probably better for groups than a party of 3.
M.
Awesome Yum Cha
Food was fresh and delicious. A little expensive but worth it.
P.
Amazing food but tipsy loud white women next to us
G.
This is a wonderful place for a meal with friends or colleagues. Food is great.
P. L.
Pretty good yum char experience. Food was really good. Service was also really good. I didn't pay so can't comment on value. Was close to five stars for me but I couldn't help compare with other yum char restaurants and some of the dumplings weren't quite as good. But I would definitely go back and be happy.
D. H.
I love dim sum and this was the best I've ever had from NY, to San Francisco to Taiwan. Everything was amazing. Service wasn't great but I don't care still was awesome and I would no doubt go back again. I shall dream of those buns for many nights.
J.
Love it. Traditional yum cha.
S. B.
Very fast service. Chicken fried rice was fine but for price was a bit lacking. They did provide chilli oil, soy sauce and left over takeaway all on request. Other dish selected by dining friend looked better. Big sizes.
P. S.
Had a great lunch for a friends birthday. Very busy yum cha time on Sunday. For us added to atmosphere for some might be too busy. Possibly best yum char in Auckland city. Great selection needed more greens though. Will return
A.
Great place in town for good Dimsun Yamcha.. Gear for team gathering, wide variety of food to choose and share.
C. C.
Nice food but stuck in a corner and had to chase for dishes. Dishes were very good
H. O.
The food was absolutely amazing - perfectly cooked and had so much flavour! Serving staff let down the experience, and were not willing to plate differently to allow for a larger group. One large dish is not ideal for a banquet of two tables.
A. G.
What a nice way to enjoy yumcha on a Sunday. The service was great. Very friendly too.
We really enjoyed the food, the only reason for dropping one star is due to some being a little cold but totally forgivable. I’d definitely come back
C. W.
Great Dim Sum brunch with trolley service. Staff can be very friendly and happy to extremely unimpressive and even less helpful. But in general this is the place to go to have dim sum or Yum Cha. The food quality is one of the best in Auckland. Highly recommended. During the weekend you need to be there early and the spaces fill up very quickly.
A. P.
Best yum char in Auckland, always holds its standard and consistency through time. Although it's not cheap but it's kind of expected since it's in CBD. It currently offers 3 hours free parking at the carpark building next door so make the most use of it before it finishes!
N. M.
This is really good yum cha. Initally I was concerned with the queue out the door, however we managed to get seated in around 5-10 minutes, which was impressive for a Sunday. There is a time limit of 1 hour, so if you are planning to have a long lunch then potentially look elsewhere. Some of the staff could not speak or understand English, and we had to ask and explain several times for Tea, Water and condiments. This would be my only criticism.
P. M.
Too noisy since we shared our function with a Thai wedding which was right next to us. We could not hear ourselves speak. The food was average at best. If you're going here maybe check that there is not another function on. The service was good and they were very attentive
J. L.
This is a popular place with the collared crowd in the vicinity and it can get very busy during lunchtime. Yum cha is always good fun, the food is decent, but both the selection and the service can leave you wanting at times. Pricing, as you can expect, reflects the location so it's probably one of the most expensive Chinese restaurants in Auckland.
N.
This is a great restaurant for yum cha lunch. Bookings are essential as the place is always busy. There is a large array of food on offer and the waiting staff are always around so there is no delay in getting food.
There is a parking building right next door and the restaurant will validate $5. 00 towards the parking.
w.
Great food if you like peking duck, but they have agreat selection, even crayfish can be on the menu, but it,s a very busy place, and that is why I gave it 4 stars
N.
Grand in name and delivery. Great surroundings, great staff and good food. Genuine Kiwi friendliness with a Chinese face. The food arrived quickly and dishes were of a good size.
S.
Been going there for yum cha (lunch) at least once a month, if not more, for more than a decade.......food quality, cleanliness and service very well maintained (except for the short haired lady manager who are often very abrupt, rude and rough), although a bit pricey compared to others. Been there for dinner, very ordinary Chinese food with nothing to shout about, though pricey. Normally very busy during lunch time especially during weekends, still has to wait even with booking but still worth the hassle. Best yum cha in town!
N.
10 minute + wait late Sunday morning for a very average Yum Cha experience. The duck was tasteless, prawns a little better & sweet & sour pork OK. Seaweed & what looked like broccoli coated in dumpling style batter mix was good. Service good and friendly in this bustling environment. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.
M. W.
Friendly staff with as you would expect Dim Sum. The service can be slow as they do get very very busy at times, something to be expected. Definitely a good spot if you are working in the city and you are after yum for Friday lunch. It is however not someone one would go out of their way on a weekend to visit.
3/5 Food
3/5 Atmosphere
3/5 Service
3/5 Value
l.
Came here for dinner last night. The poki starter was excellent and delicious. Had fried brown rice kernels throughout with avocados. Yummy. I ordered the sea bass. It was good but not as tender as I would like. It came with garlic noodles and green beans. My girlfriend had a chicken dish. It was a 1/4 Of a chicken with orange gravy over mashed potatoes and had grape tomatoes. The chicken was very tender although I could not distinguish the sauce. All in all the food was good.
K.
My absolute favourite, best prawn dumplings and pork shumai outside on Hong Kong. Best to get there when they open at 11.30am and beat the weekend rush
P.
We had been planning to return to Hong Kong just to eat at our favorite Dim Sum restaurant but found another just like it in Auckland. You get to see what you are getting and you get it immediately. I only wish I had two stomachs to enjoy all the great items offered. Tasted a traditional Hong Kong Style food for a quick business lunch at Grand Harbour, it was very nice, though the car parking was tough and extremely expensive around.
T. S.
Best Yum Cha I have found in Auckland. Usually easy enough to walk in and get a table, but does get busy! Yummy deep fried squid, selection of dumplings, plates of authentic Chinese cuisine. Tea is always 👌🏻 delicious! My favourite.
N. B.
Good food. Quick service and cheerful staff. The only thing i didn't like is the online reservation and being told they don't check it and should have called. I'm like, is that our problem its in the website?
G.
UPDATE: We come here once every few months and it's the best yum cha in Auckland of the 3 I've been to so far. The place is massive and gets busy. So many things to choose from, but be aware that the types of dishes available generally come in waves so you may not see one item out on the trolleys again for quite some time. They do add a note for when your table should finish and we stayed over that today in trying to wait for one item to come back around, but they didn't say anything since we kept ordering in the meantime. Whether you've got a table for 2, 4, 6, or 8+ you'll be in good hands.
First time being back since I first visited NZ 3 yrs ago and still great. Very frequent cart table service at least during brunch/lunch. Tons of options. Writing this before we pay though so idk the price yet haha, but for our group of 8 it'll be okay. Very spacious tables but some are quite close to each other. Live fish tanks to entertain the kids a bit.
盛.
Good food, mediocre service - usual combination for a Chinese restaurant. This place has one thing extra: high price. Location is good, it's convenient for people work in this area to come for a quick bite at lunch. I wouldn't travel here just for its food. Parking is ok, public car park in the same building. Customers get a discount on car park fee (or maybe it's free, or maybe it's free up to certain hours).
M. J. P.
Food is good, the place is very big and clean. However, our reservation was not recorded down at anywhere and the food trolley stopped coming just after 2pm so my whole family just sat there for about 30 minutes just looking out for food but ended up ordering them instead... staffs were nice but wasn't all pleasant feeling...
S. L. L.
My partner and I were at grand harbour for a wedding reception last night. The food was beautiful, service great, and we thought all in all it was a fabulous evening. We arrived at our accommodation last night only to realise that my partner had left his wallet behind at the restaurant. After calling grand harbour and telling them about our situation, one of their staff was kind enough to deliver the wallet to us at 11.30pm - an absolute life saver. Service is truly top notch, as was the food. Would 100% recommend.
A. C.
I did enjoy the food here especially the duck pancakes, but I did feel it was a bit overpriced for some frozen food which had been fried in a deep fryer. Hoping the establishment will drop the prices in the future. Service was good and the staff were very attentive hence for 4 stars and not a 3
R.
First things first, before you come here and eat make sure you book a table and then come before time or on time because the waiting list can get out of hand if you just walk in.
Yum Cha is probably the best in Grand Harbour. I absolutely love the Fried Squid Tentacles. Other dishes are equally great. Service is a hit and miss as it sometimes can be bad and sometimes can be quick. Nevertheless I still love this place for Yum Cha.
K. C.
Some dishes are good
Service is not good, we asked for some chilli sauce, and having to go get it ourselves after 10 minutes, as well as get hot water for our tea pot
T. T. L.
Located in an upmarket side of the Auckland Harbour, this restaurant is often crowded. Booking helps but not much for my visit. The dim sum dishes are fresh and authentic but you will have to be patient for the trollies to pass by. A unique dish is the mussel-filled trolley. Lots of drinks options available too.
R.
Still the best yum char and dinner.
M.
Wow, yum char, what a choice, what more can I say. Staff are amazing and work hard with a smile.
P.
Love their Peking duck & salted egg prawn ball. Great quality food!
C. W.
Delicious food. However, we were being arranged at a walk way corner. Food trolleys came very close when passing by. Not a comfortable spot especially when there are other comfortable tables available.
L.
Amazing - just went back after a few years, and they're still serving excellent food with friendly service. Banana pancakes rock!! I'll make sure I'm more of a regular now :-)
B.
One of the best and more approachable Yum cha restaurants in Auckland. They always have what we are looking for and manage to keep their delicious food flowing throughout thier entire service period.
M.
Went for yumchai. Previous experiences have been really good, but today the service was rather lacking and the food was average. Advice would be to go early and try and be seated in the front foyer, as the rear of the restaurant is largely forgotten.
p.
Really nice food however slow service. Not bad on pocket and nice atmosphere .
M.
Good dim sum. Wish they'd just let you order what you want and have it delivered, rather than having waiters come with trolleys and having you pick what you want from the trolley. But I suppose it's a good idea if you're not sure what you want.
If you speak Chinese the service seems pretty friendly.
B. “. T.
One of the best Yum Cha eateries in Auckland. Food is delicious and lots of choices.. Must try when you visit Auckland. However, you need to make a reservation as it is usually very busy during weekends unless you don't mind waiting for awhile or sharing a large table with other diners)
H.
It's a big restaurant but the seatings are way too cramped. Staffs are rude and very unpleasant. Otherwise it's a great place to dine in a larger group, you can almost always get a table without waiting. Anything on the menu is delicious and also expensive!
S.
This is an excellent place in the CBD for yum cha - great food. You'll get to try out more dishes if you go with a bigger group of people or if you have a large appetite.
N. B.
Good food but bit pricey
H.
best yum cha around, hands down. Good winelist to boot
K.
Really good authentic Chinese food! YumCha on a Sunday is fantastic. It can sometimes be a bit hard to get the attention of staff when you want their food - sometimes they seem a bit uninterested.
G.
Good selection of Chinese food, tasty and well presented. Very pricey for what you get in terms of portion size, drinks are also towards the extortionate side. Very large dining area which is neatly decorated. We were the last customers and were rushed to finish up and leave by 10.30pm by pushy staff
F.
You don't go to a Chinese dim sum place for a service seriously. You go there mainly for the food. A good Chinese restaurant that serves dim sum is always crowded especially during lunch time so try to go like 10 or 15 minutes before noon. The food is excellent here. Cannot complain. The place is always crowded even during weekedays. Service is very slow as more people coming in. If you want to eat good dim sum, I highly recommend this place.
t. c.
Always busy, so sometimes getting what you want can be difficult, but the food is amazing. Make sure you book or you will possibly be waiting. Even if online booking says there are no tables available give them a call.
E.
Good food but a bit pricey compared with other yum cha places around Auckland. Also service can be a bit slow if seated away in the corners.
C.
Absolutely delicious and excellent service my absolute favorite the oysters were divine
a.
Popular dining spot in Auckland, vibrant atmosphere due to sheer volume of customers, service can be a little hit and miss, but in my eyes at least, this just adds to the authentic vibe of the place... you will not leave here without having tried something a little unusual and you will most certainly not leave hungry.
B.
The place is always decent but as always also comes with a price.
Location is presentable and is ideal for impressing guests.
Wouldn't be my go to yum cha place but will be a place I go to with quests I try to impress
M.
Friendly staff and great food. Pekking duck was tasty and perfectly cooked. Generous servings on all dishes. I'm looking forward to go back. Best chinese restaurant in Auckland
R.
We had a yumcha. Very busy and crowd place. We've been waited for 10min. We got a table at door way. Food was ok. Specially, stir fried prawn dish was great. Service was ok but some dishe is over priced.
A.
Good food but painfully and unexpectedly expensive. $170 for three people was a bit of a shock. But we did leave full.
B.
Fantastic Yum Cha here. The service is extremely efficient too, which is amazing considering the large size of this restaurant. Well worth a visit and a great place to eat if you have a group of people.
B.
As usual, standard of yum cha was high. Service is as you'd expect from a busy Chinese restaurant - enough to get by but nothing to rave about.
K.
Went on a Sunday for yum cha, very good variety and service. Busy, but that's what you get at a great restaurant. Not that expensive, will be back.
L. K.
Busy, and slightly more expensive than some yum cha restaurants in Auckland, but we'll worth it. Cannot go here without having the shumai and the delicious coconut buns.
T.
One of the best places for yum cha in Auckland bookings essential this place is always popular and full
T.
Known for their Dimsun. Advice have a reservation and be there on time. Downside is that you reserve for a set of time and when your time comes to an end you can feel that they don't serve you as in the beginning. You feel like if they push you out so that they can prepare the table for the next set of clients...
P.
Delicious yum cha, lots of options and everything was pretty tasty. They do have live seafood in aquariums which look a bit overcrowded, but otherwise nice place!
L. M.
Really good quality yum char, everything was fresh and came quickly. Food is slightly pricey and if you come on the weekend, even with a reservation expect to wait.
A. g.
I had dinner here as a group.
Every single dish has different taste beautifully.
Very friendly staffs and good service.
Highly recommended but a bit expensive.
m.
This place is busy and generally has great food but service does lack when the restaurant is busy. Not enough food circulates in carts and can you leave you quite hungry, nether the less a great restaurant just be mindful of busy times.
M.
Delicious food + excellent customer service. This restaurant is a must try if you’re into seafood or yum cha. Very authentic Cantonese style. Highly recommended!
L. M.
We had yum cha and it was the best, family of 13 and it worked out to about ¢40 a head, including drink's. High recommend.
R.
Awesome ambience
Welcoming staff
Great food presentation
Yummy food
I really liked this place and food
Must visit place
I only observed this place sometime get so full due to high demand so prepare yourself before you go there or call them to pre-booked for you or your team lunch if planning to have big gathering
J.
Wide range of dimsum, was sitting on a table where the table cloth has strong detergent smell.
J.
Great Chinese dishes, authentic, flavourful. Also their YumCha is great!
P. C.
Mmmmmmm, Grand Harbour! Centre of all things my food baby needs to grow and grow. magical Yum Cha, wide variety, endless green tea and actually hot food - unlike some yum cha places (Grand Park? Are you listening?) they get it straight out of the kitchen and straight to your table. Reasonably priced, a wonderful experience.
Y.
Very busy. Has a lots of large round tables. During lunch dim sum carts go around for easy and quick. Very good and taste good.
F. Z.
Food is good but pricey. came across a rude male waiter basically slamming the dishes on our table. loudly clearing up plates next to our table. not sure if he is a newbie or what.
L.
Average food and customer service. Quite a few smaller places around Auckland that are much better.
T.
I think this Yum Cha restaurant has to be one of the best in Auckland- great service and a real favourite are the Egg tarts- they melt in your mouth. highly recommended.
J.
A good place for yum char. Yummy meals and hot food served on a cart. A little on the pricey side and customer service is what you would expect from a successful restaurant.
K.
Yummy dumplings! Yum cha is my fav
S.
Food was great for a table of 8 but was dissapointed as I was the host and paying for the meal I was always last served and not asked about drinks etc waiter was more interested in serving the young ones at our table
s.
This place is huge. The food is average. Even though the menu is massive the quality of food and taste is just average. Service is really quick and efficient.
d. '. h.
Def our most fav place for yum cha. You gotta try it. Awesome. 👍👍👍
J.
Nice food. Service just ok.
Can free parking 2 hours.
Close to the pier
J.
Booked for fifty people the day before our wedding and the food was fantastic. Really loved the staff and atmosphere - cheap and cheerful - great spread.
D.
Great food, and fantastic service. My wife is Chinese and this is a regular dining place for us to get some top notch chinese food. The crayfish are huge too.
A.
My only complaint? Even when you book you have to wait. The food is worth the wait though.
S.
Good and tasty food but pricey and busy. Parking sucks. 4 stars because food outweighs everything else. The crab is great if you're feeling flashy
V.
My top city yum cha, great location, setting and free parking available 👌
A.
Limited parking. Good food. Okay service. Always feel very sorry for the live lobsters in the tank. Always want to free them.
F.
Great food, service, price and atmosphere.
Great night out!
D. H.
Great food and very attentive staff. Our fav yum cha restaurant
J.
Reasonable prices and food. Service is by insistence. If you don't get it first time ask again but don't wait more than 3-4 minutes. It's a pity about the previous reviews. Would go again.
E.
Free parking for customers. Had to wait for a table but made up for a fast service.
R. G.
Yum cha heaven. Eat until you are full and it will only cost you around 30 dollars. A favourite lunch time place
S.
We love eating here on the odd occasion.....great tasting food and service.
A.
Best yum cha in Auckland in our opinion. Great variety and quality of food. Book for 11 for Max enjoyment imo.
A.
Ahhh just as good as I remember. Never fails to please. Prawn and spinach dumpling in the picture. Quick, delicious and ever fresh.
K.
Pleasantly surprised with great food and new options arriving all the time. Recommended! Friendly service.
J.
Always enjoy the yum chat here. Tends to be busy during the weekend, so you may need to wait 5 mins for a table, but it is worth it
F.
Fantastic yummy food the best yum cha in Auckland New Zealand n parking partly free 😁👍👍👍
I.
Yum cha!!! They serve u from the minute u sit down don't have to wait for anything really nice food, loved it!!!
P.
Wonderful meal, great place.
K.
For some reason while I was in Auckland I had heavy dim sum cravings. Of the four different Auckland spots that I tried, this was by far my favorite. It's the largest, cleanest and has a wide variety of items.
E.
Beijing roast duck was good but a tofu dish was tasteless and dried. It did not appear as it supposted to be, egg white sauce missing.
M. W.
Great food, good service, helpful staff & parking next door which you get a voucher for. Wiil revisit on our next special occasion.
R.
Range of good food delivered fast. Usual price for this quality. $30 per head for 4 persons
M.
Very wide range of yum cha options, let down a little by rudeness of a small number of staff
I.
The waitres were not friendly, dim sum was delicious but took a while to reach the table. Price was expensive.
C.
Lots of food and choice. Food is fresh amd cooked well. So long as I get fed plenty of yummy food at yum char no complaints!
T.
Very good Yum cha. Always busy. If you don't want to wait, best to come before 11:30am or after 1:30pm
R.
Love the food. It is usually crowded so be ready to wait. I wish the food service was faster. Some days you wait for the food a fair bit.
K.
All Yum cha is amazingly yummy and reasonably priced. We love the watermelon smoothie.
M.
Great Chinese Restaurant. My personal favourite. Be sure to come in during their Yum Cha period for the best food.
C. W.
Can be a little confusing for someone who does not speak Chinese and the staff can be a little rude, but the food is great. especially the ice cream balls!
M.
It was ok. They are too push by the restricted time they give for each table. Food average for yamcha.
H.

J.
Eclectic food good company but doesn't tolerate Europeans easily
D.
No wait at 11am on Sunday, good food, but restricted to 1 hour at the table which was a bit tight for us.
C.
Great selection, good service, just more expensive than I like to pay.
C.
Okay yum chat but very busy, get there early. Dinner much more quiet. Overall a bit expensive for good but not great quality
T.
Perfect for a large group lunch. Reasonably priced but only makes sense when sharing the bill with others
D.
Went there for lunch, dim sum was only of average quality. Could be a bit of a wait if you're ordering menu items aside from dim sums...
G.
A very popular place for dim sum. It is recommended that you make a booking in the weekend to avoid waiting too long.
D.
If you can het past the 4 people offering meals before you sit down, this place is great for a quick lunch or dinner.
