Reviews of Grand Park Chinese Seafood Restaurant
W.
It's always super busy for Yum Cha, no matter what day of the week. Be prepared to wait. However, dinner time has great ambience and you can reserve a private room also. Fresh live seafood, ask for the price and weight. Excellent service and food came out promptly
S.
Price was $260 for 5 people. The place was very big and during peak times the yum cha carts will go around very frequently. The food was 4/5 but overall service and vibes make it 5/5
D.
Came here on long weekend and it was mayhem. Waited 30 mins but expected and was well organized. Food came out quick and surprisingly the food was still hot/ warm. If you are looking for a decent yum cha place for family get together- this is the one.
A.
Food was pretty good, but they kept shoving food at us it was pretty overwhelming lol
R.
Usually you have to get a booking before you get to get your food! But we were lucky to get a table without booking yesterday! Maybe people went away and the place is not packed . It was good, food came around quite fast with no delay, choose whatever you want as the waitress walk along for customer to choose the food. Service is good and food tastes good too, nice place to have friends for a catch up .
J.
About as good as any dim sum restaurant in Auckland, really. I enjoyed my food at Grand Park.
V.
Well established Yumcha place, good variety, flavors, and quality better than most.
R.
Great yum cha.. really good food. And fast service. I would have given 5 stars but I feel like the prices have gone up since I last went. 2 of us ate incl ice cream balls (9.50) and sweet crepes (9.50) and the bill was $95.
C.
Food was lovely and fresh. No complaints at all except for the service. 5 of us went and before we had a chance to sit down and put our bags down we were swamped by waiter’s putting plates on our table and ticking the list and leaving. We didn’t have a chance to see what was all available. What should have been a lovely relaxed first time experience. We felt pressured and eating dishes we would never have had. Shame really as we most likely not return.
A.
Usually here for yum char on a Saturday or Sunday after a late night out the day before, often packed which is a down side, however the food here is actually pretty awesome for a hangover yum char meal.
Price is slightly higher than other yumchar restaurants, however the quality and hygiene makes up for it.
Awesome place to come to - to try impress your co-workers, guests, or other half for something a little different than a cafe
Service: 3/5
Wait time: 4/5
Environment: 4/5
Food Quality and taste: 4/5
Price range: $30+ pp

January, 2020 - Decided to have Chinese New Year's Eve dinner here last Friday and was left feeling severely disappointed. The food was underwhelming - the noodles were tasteless and prawns didn't taste fresh and while the duck skin was crispy, its meat was dry. The restaurant's saving grace was its relatively polite and friendly staff (for a Chinese restaurant) especially since they were clearly busy.
We'll chalk this experience down to it having been Chinese New Year Eve and hopefully the dim sum will be a whole lot better when we next decide to give it a go.
February, 2020 - The dim sum was a much better experience. Had 6 different selections that were all deliciously authentic but Asian Wok on Lincoln Road is just as good and not as pricey.
J.
A very busy Monday lunch time. They offer dim sum for lunch. It's an old fashion dim sum delivery with carts. The food was good. My favorite was the durian pancake. The wrap was soft and slightly chewy. The durian was fresh.
The only down side of the restaurant was that I asked for hoisin sauce and salt but the waitress didn't bring me the sauce. Probably because it's too busy, she totally forgot my request and just went directly to the next table to take orders for other people. =(
J.
Big and clean restaurant, typical Chinese yum cha style, friendly as a yum cha service can be, English is fine here, mandarin is main language spoken here, very busy place, book a table if you decide to eat after 11 am, opens at 10 am fyi.
Outstanding yum cha, fresh and hot can rate it highly enough , great selection of dim sim and great view of race course.
Ps, turn right at main entrance to find restaurant. 🙂
N.
Loved it! Just like having yum cha in Guangzhou - the noise but tastier dim sum! I mean the noise and chitter chat are part of the experience! Probably have to queue for tables but it’s worth it.
H.
Best yumcha in Auckland so far. Decent selection and tasted very good. Price was more expensive than other yum cha place, but the quality was definitely better. Always crowded, so make sure to book beforehand.
m.
the best yum cha in Auckland in my opinion. Real big selection of food with constant trollies full of food going around to choose from. Also a great bar selection. Best to get her early as it gets really busy on the weekend could be facing a hour wait. Lots of parking and plenty of wheelchair parking. I visit this place at least twice a month.
W.
Fast rotation with yam cha and foods are good. Hall stuffs all speaks English, and I would go back next time
D.
The first time having the grilled oysters was nice. The second time was not fresh at all.
C.
We had Yum Cha here a couple of Weeks ago. What can I say except it was Fabulous. Food and staff exceptional.
V.
The food was delicious, the restaurant was beautiful and the service was really good, I would recommend eating here if you want to go to a chinese restaurant
J.
Very enjoyable evening. Good food. Nice staff.
Custard buns are a must
m.
Wide selection of delicious dim sum, the place gets really full on weekends so book in advance
N.
Best yum char !! Prawn toast is amazing !!!!! Great for the price.
M.
Food is good, but the staff's attitude shall improve, very pushy and arrogant feeling
T.
Dim sum at lunchtimes is good. Prefer pearl garden restaurant in new market though.
The quality of the dinner restaurant menu here is fantastic and great for large families or groups. Service is fantastic though a little pricey - you get what you pay for.
G.
Food is not bad, actually one of thr best Yum Cha in Auckland
But the place is packed so go early or late
K.
Have dined here as invited guest to a wedding of a work colleague who being Chinese had his wedding reception here. Yep it was pretty good, food lovely. Some dishes never tried before good experience. Usually always busy when they open always people lined up outside the door. Go visit
N.
Easily the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten and I’ve been to China.
A.
The food was great, just the waiting time took sometime. Too busy eating forgot to take photos, Oh and the really friendly staff.
W.
Good service and food. Busy and noisy place but bearable.
Y.
In term of food, they are awesome!!! So nice, tasty and if you love spicy (Like I do) their chilli oil are nice.
It is quite expensive though, but I suppose you pay for quality
If you go for yum cha on the weekend, it can be quite busy and you could wait up to 30-45 mins for the seat.
E.
First time here. Staff were helpful and courteous. Great selection of fresh and tasty food. I have yet to experience its equal in the Waikato or BOP. Well worth returning the next time in Auckland
B.
The food is delicious and the service is excellent.
I was fortunately shouted Yum Char here today although we were a little after two, there was an excellent selection of dishes available. I would throughly recommend this restaurant.
P.
Dec 2021: Best yum Cha in years .. then again lockdown stopped us for a while.
R.
My friend booked yum cha here for us and all the dishes I had were delectable. I'd certainly go here again!
A.
If you're after an order off the menu experience at lunch time, I wouldn't recommend coming here. Everything is yum cha based during the day. I had dined there once before and the food was great, thus a second return. Today I was disappointed, because the weren't keen to serve me from the dinner menu, they eventually did at dinner prices. When we went to pay, the lady at the counter was extremely rude! They bill you, but items are miscellaneous and the food items listed from our table bill was in Chinese and the lady at the counter just kept referring us to that!! Overall we got the impression they didn't like us questioning the bill. We had to have another lady serve us and she was extremely apologetic. My suggestion to the establishment: serve non yum cha food as well at lunchtime. Not everyone likes yum cha... We ended up paying a huge bill for a lunch time meal, wldnt have minded if the service was good...
T.
The best Yumcha place in Auckland. You have to be there early otherwise there won’t be a table.
L.
This is a popular and the fancy restaurant. It has A grade hygiene certificate in place. The business keeps clean overall include toilet. That is very impressed. Most of Asian restaurants lefts very poor hygiene conditions in toilet. The yumcha serivice on trolley grab and eat model, of coy you can place special order as well. Staffs are proactively bringing food and water onto table, as well as remove empty plates. Down side is you may have to wait a while to getting a table. Because of the popularity you may have to keep driving in car park for a parking spot.
B.
Food was great. Service was average as you have to call the staff to come and serve you. They've renovated in recent times so the cleanliness is of a high standard.
M.
Excellent and efficient service. Luckily we had a booking as were in a big group. Speed, efficiency and tasty hot food. Will definitely go again. Their Lemon prawns were heavenly
M.
Was there on sunday. Very busy. Disappointed in the range of plates that was offered. Staff yelling and talking accross our table to other staff at other end of the room was very in-pleasant. Felt very rushed. Rather expensive. Didnt enjoy at all .also was not informed when we booked a week before that we could not go into the restaurant until all ore party 4 people was present. That was strange and annoying .
H.
This place had the best food ever, my first Peking Duck and wow. All the other dishes we ordered were extremely yummy. A higher priced meal but a delightful feast fit for special celebrations!
C.
everything is good!!i‘ll visit again~
P.
Like their yum Cha. But this doesn't means that if you have good relationship with the owner or staff you can jump queue where everyone else have been waiting for an hour or more? The owners or management, please treat all your customers fairly.
S.
Yum cha was amazing. We went super early so they weren't too busy. By the time we were leaving, people started to pile in. The line was long. Good food a bit pricey but worth the treat
T.
Still a classic place for Chinese yumcha after so many years and so many impacts from the covid.
J.
It nice and big for large wedding function. Food? No good. I've been here three times last year. Food very balance, no taste, need little bit salt sweet. Except crayfish and fish I give 4 star.
g.
It's really crowded during lunch time. So remember to book first; you still need to wait but for much shorter period of time. Yum cha is quite nice; the rice rolls are a bit tough so not recommended.
I.
Very authentic Yumcha experience. Staff are always busy so you will need a little patient or place your order directly with one of the staff pushing the cart. Make sure you make reservations or turn up early, as soon as they open I mean.
R.
First visit today and won’t be my last. Absolutely excellent food and selection, super quick and efficient service. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Hopefully be back soon!
J.
Great selections of dumplings and buns. Weekend is usually packed and long queue. Easier to get a table during weekday. Booking is essential for weekend but still have to wait.
T.
Yum char experience is very good. Trolleys always carry fresh steaming hot delicious food😋 Staff efficient snd friendly. Thank you Grand Park
A.
I've never tried Chinese food before coming there. And you know what I really liked it. They have big trays where you can find chicken, pork, beef and seafood. Everything looks so interesting and I didn't know what to choose. My advise: if somethings looks interesting - try it :). Last time I had something like dumplings with some sea creature inside. It was yummy 🙂. And one more advise just leave some space in your stomach for dessert. I absolutely love desserts over there.
Also: you should know it's a very popular place and sometimes you need to wait for a seat for 30-40 minutes or even more. But it is definitely worth it.
A.
This place is great for dinner. Haven't tried out the Yum Cha yet, but looking forward to it. The clientele is almost exclusively Asian, so that tells you a lot.
Negatives: it's not cheap. And the service is classic Chinese restaurant, efficient, but not super friendly. And it's not easy to find. You need to go in gate B and the go in the main entrance of the race way. Then, turn left.
The decor is also classic Chinese restaurant, bright and red and gold.
Enjoy!
H.
Lunchtime at this restaurant. Pre booking a table is essential. Also your table booking as two times Time to start and an expected time to finish
Yum Cha is a hugely popular style of eating. Many people like to attend so booking is essential. However you may still have to wait until your table is cleaned and reset.
The food presentation and taste is excellent. Waiters or waitresses will walk past your table presenting one dish at a time on a flat trolley. Eash closed bamboo steamer will have either 3, 5, or 6 of the exact same food. After you have made your choice they will transfer the desired number of parcels to your table. Then add the following items number and price to your table invoice.
The invoice chit stays on your table for the duration of your meal. As you choose from the selection of food offered on the passing trolleys. The cost is added onto your account.
This is true for all of the restaurants in Auckland which offers this cuisine style
The service is simple, the food simple in its presentation. It is left up to your skill to combine the choice of dishes the order of consumption and the combining of foods presented to reveal the excellence of this way of eating.
Bonsoir to your delightful journey experiencing this style of Asian dining
K.
Lovely restaurant and loved how the lady serving us with the plates made our family giggle while she was serving plates, A great memorie to have for my Grandmother's birthday lunch.
S.
One of the best yum cha in Auckland. I feel like I was in China when we had our send-off celebration here. The staff are nice but the waiters are a bit pushy when it comes to offering — you order one and will put two on the table — so be firm when ordering. I will definitely come back.
M.
This place is crazy busy but well worth the wait. Food is fantastic, lots of choice. Service once in and seated is usually very fast. If you like yum char this is absolutely the place to try for a late breakfast or lunch. Good parking right out the front that's easy.
They do a great dinner with live tank fish, crayfish, clams etc. Highly recommend a try.
S.
I had a dinner here, food are averagely good. Got very large lobster but I had not tired.
C.
Amazing food and plenty to choose from. I do feel there was a slight preference/racism with the seating. When my father and I went here we noticed all the pakeha people were given waiting numbers below 10 and other groups of ethnicity were given numbers around 80's to 100. There seemed to be groups small and big who were arriving later yet seemed to get seated first and it wasn't just about bigger groups.
I really feel this place needs to take bookings as the seating organisation is terrible. My dad had not long ago had triple bypass surgery and was taking me here for a birthday lunch. So the wait time was not ideal.
Also they sat us right by the kitchen which meant we had trolleys and people bumping past us every second. We couldn't even have a conversation without someone interrupting.
It would be nice if the staff explained how the simple ways of the service worked and more about the tea they offer.
I think they need to remember they are in New Zealand so lots of cultures will be coming into their restaurant not just Chinese and other Asian cultures.
S.
Loved it!!! The entire experience amazing. To Andrea who gave a poor review, tough luck, you’re probably just another “Karen” exaggerating things lol The front of house team thank you for welcoming us with great manners.
W.
Very busy, ok food. One of the waitress keeps on insisting to give us choy sum even though we said no like 5 times. She even put it on our table and was about to write on our bill. Was quite funny but this is definitely illegal.
R.
Not a fan of waiting even when you have a booking, or of having food or on the table before we'd even sat down and without knowing what it was. Most of the food was delicious but the tripe wasn't cleaned properly so tasted gross. Loved the little savoury pastries and the dessert crepes with fresh fruit and cream.
A.
The best yum char restaurant in Auckland by far; also the most expensive; and getting more expensive every year. At weekends, the queue is extremely long. You can book if your group is at least 3 people; however, they won't start putting you in the queue unless you have everyone in your party is present. Parking also quite hard to find. Recently, they start to impose time limit on how long can you eat/be inside the restaurant; and they keep shorten your time in the restaurant. Last time I went there on March 17th, 2018, I was in the queue for 1 hr and 10 minutes, and they only give us 50 minutes to eat! The far end of the restaurant have a view to the race course.
If you come for dinner, don't waste your money & time. Better find other restaurants that are more yummy as well as cheaper.
A.
Located in Epsom, this is one of many Chinese Restaurants in the vicinity. Please note that Dim-Sum is only served during lunch hours, I was unfortunate not to know this. There is a sufficient amount of staff; many tables to cater large audiences. The food is clean to the taste, and very well done. A bit pricey, but I would recommend.
A.
I had to try twice before making my review of his place.
The whole dining experience was both times so bizarre and felt really twilight zone-ish.
The time stamp on the card only allows you 50mins to scoff down all your beautiful little dishes, which made it like a chore instead of a civilised dining moment with friends.
Although we booked, we still had to wait a little, the other time we didn’t booked on A Tuesday 1pm, we waited just as much and the two little old ladies, went straight past the queue and was seated immediately.
Lesson learnt, be a hunched little old lady, we would probably get prioritised, not that it mattered in the end anyway.
Taste was good, but somehow more varieties of dim sum food offered in the weekends than weekdays, fair enough it’s heir busy time.
Would I go back for third time? No probably not with all the rushing (the boys who clean up our table literally took our plates the minute we put the last chomp in our mouth!), I’m getting indigestion each time I’ve been there.
P.
My favourite Auckland Yum Cha. Sometimes a line on the weekends, because they are that good! But it doesnt take long. Their Juices are delicous too
D.
The food here has been the best yumcha I've had even though it does get extremely crowded but I think that it being crowded gives it it's own uniqueness which adds to its atmosphere. It is well staffed and they definitely make sure that you're well fed! So make sure you have an empty stomach before coming here!
T.
30-50% more expensive that most of Tim cha restaurants in Auckland, but food here tastes really good.Though service was mediocre and sometimes bad, it happened else where.
F.
Good Yum Cha place, foods are great. Price reasonable, but very busy during lunch hours, long wait. Crowded space with tables arranged tightly together. Had to rush and finish, wouldn't feel good with loads of people waiting for your space. Great food but would rather go somewhere with less crowd and could relax and take your time
D.
Great choices, amazing taste. Atmosphere was fantastic with fully packed restaurant. We did have to wait for quite sometime to sit in to eat, which I wasn't really expecting, but we came out very satisfied and happy.
P.
Did yum cha one Sunday with a dozen friends - as you do. This building used to be Valentines but now has round tables for relaxed LOUD chatting & noshing Chinese fast food. Having lived in Hong Kong for a year I'm a yum cha junkie and love the chaos. So this place didn't aim for the usual 2 sittings but service was a bit like waiting for a bus - wait for some time then 3 arrive at once. The food was usuall good quality and style and staff friendly. Parking good but get there early. Great place for catch-up lunch with friends and especially good if they've got kids. Will def go back.
F.
Had dinner here with the family. Absolutely great. Great atmosphere great food and amazing service. The hostess was very accommodating. Would love to visit again. 5⭐
S.
Probably the best tasting yum char I have tried in Auckland, however the siew mai served was only lukewarm, tasty but would have been better hot, also I don't see how it is considered a special item. None of the other yum char places sells that as a special. The deep fried squid also cold and oily, but everything else we had was hot.
I still give it four stars coz the food taste is really pretty good for all the dishes, even the lukewarm and cold ones. Hope that next time will be better.
N.
Classic Yum Cha experience, huge variety, constantly being served. Really enjoyed it here. Bit noisy next to the bar with the blender going, so try and sit further into the restaurant.
R.
Do you like Yum Cha? Do you like good Yum Cha? Do you like to be told that you have 1 hour to eat but then be repeatedly asked by the same waiter that seated you when you will be finished when you've only been there for 40 minutes? Then look no further than Grand Park Chinese Seafood Restaurant.
I can understand the 1 hour limit, but don't repeatedly ask us if we're finished when there is several other empty tables with no reservation signs on them.
Looks like I'm not coming back.
T.
LOVES THIS PLACE.. Basically loads of Dim Sum on trolleys and they come around and ticket off what you have eaten. Lots of Chinese people or of Chinese origin eating here, so you know its good. Get the Turnip cake and the BBQ dumpling..
F.
An institution for yum cha in Auckland. Probably the most popular restaurant due to their consistency, quality and central location. Remember to book in the weekends, because this place gets packed from 11am onwards. Their dinners banquets here are also phenomenal, service and food was fantastic. It's the sister branch to Grand Harbour for those in the CBD/Viaduct looking for something similar.
L.
Love the yum cha here. Plump dim sum with good quality wrappers, not gkuggy or thick skins. Prawns are big. I feel its the best yum cha in Auckland.
Unfortunately too busy in the weekend though, even if you book there still a wait as if you didn't book.
Not suitable if you have elderly or young people.
R.
Love this place
Not the cheapest but yumcha quality (taste etc) is always very good, decor simple (and starting to date?) and service excellent.
I eat here at least once per week so can definitely recommend it.
C.
I was very lucky to be invited by a family who regularly entertains here so was helpful with the choices.Yum. it's very popular and have a number system for waiting for a clear table. Very efficient and pleasant staff. No hanging round .Tends to be eat and go because of popularity to all ethnicities.
G.
Super yummy food with fast friendly service.
Huge menu selection. Something for everyone.
I was too busy enjoying myself to take pictures...my bad!...but I did get to pick the fish that was to be cooked...came out in a bucket. First time for everything.
Clean facilities & very friendly & helpful staff.
Parking was a breeze
A.
The dumplings here are some of the best in Auckland and they have a wider range of dumplings compared to other smaller restaurants. I do think they use msg though. Also beware of the congee (rice porridge) if it gets to the end, I've actually watch them top it up with boiling water and dissolve the gloop which has stuck to the bottom. Not the tastiest experience. The other problem is you have to prepared to wait a long time for a table. Even waiting for half an hour or more if you book. Your wait starts when you get there and you are given a number to get into the queue. Then it's a wait for a table to be free for the specific number of people you have booked for. Avoid on weekends and public holidays. Lunch during the week is quieter. This place is not a classy experience due to the cattle like wait experience. Their other branch in town is better but still busy and loud (typical of a Chinese restaurant). If you are prepared to pay more but have a great dining experience try Blue Breeze in Ponsonby.
r.
Good food but staff not ok. My 2 yr old grabbed a piece of carrot and cucumber from a table next to us. That vegetable was suppose to come with roast duck order. Three staffs individually came to talk to us rudely that we were not suppose to touch the vegetable.it was Valentine's day and with happy mood everything was spoiled by their behaviour towards a 2yr old. We did order the duck meal and kindly asked them to keep the vegetable instead. Sorry it was our 4th time there but no more.
P.
Want a place where the food is awesome and there is Free parking, then you will definitely get it from this place for sure.
Chinese food for my Dad is normally a " hummm...it was ok " but to get a response like " WOW...that was really good " that diffenantly a two thumbs up for sure.
For our group we (meaning me) decided to try as many meat and vegetable dishes as possible, chicken, pork, steak, fish, prawns and of cause you can't leave out the old traditional Peking duck done three ways.
What a feast for six people...yummmmy!!! (Is that why it's called *Yum Cha")
Very reasonable Prices for excellent food.
The staff were very attentive and friendly, so that's a thumbs up.
We would diffenantly come back for sure. 😊
T.
Best Peking duck :)
Lovely atmosphere, you certainly feel special.
Some waiters are real professionals, again feels special. Well dressed, one hand behind their back, some have a real down to earth causal attitude, it's like talking to an old friend.
P.
Great fast service great experience clean too bit loud but definitely tasty food
M.
Family Xmas lunch today. Very busy, but service was swift and efficient. Food was delicious. Best Yum Cha in Auckland.
J.
Prawn dumplings, beef balls and prawn toast definate favourites. Men folk loved bbq pork and shumai plus ice cream balls
R.
Have only been to yumcha here but one of the best ones around in my opinion. There is always a wait so pays to book ahead or arrive early. It is VERY popular therefore VERY busy. Not the cheapest yumcha but well worth it. So much food going around that you would never leave hungry.
R.
Really good Yum Char. Very spacious restaurant, excellent service, and the food was best we have had in NZ. Our new favourite.
F.
If you're into yum cha then you won't be disappointed. Loved the food.
B.
Not able to give a better rating as I was catching up w a friend so we were too busy talking that we only ate 4 dishes of the usual, deep fried dumplings, spring rolls, steamed veggies & siu mai. By the time we ate the food, it was lukewarm : (
D.
Love the yum cha, heaps os variety and very tasty. Service ok.
z.
Great food. Always long wait to be seated and customer service from initial waitress very brief. Other cart waitresses (yumchar) gave good service though
c.
better ring the restaurant before you go. they're busy all the time since they serve one of the best yum cha in town. Price is also resonable with properate portion size.
D.
Food is decent, but the queue is a bit of a put off. Plenty of staff as they are very busy and food choices are average, would recommend only if you've 2 hours to spare, and 1 hour time limit is enforced here (assuming that they only enforce it when it is busy).
R.
My fav yum char in Auckland. Exactly how it should be - fresh, fast, loads of variety and delicious. Nothing sits around too long to get cold.
S.
Our MUST DO yumchar. Lots of places have yum char yet none in my opinion compare with Grand Park Alexandra Park Epsom Auckland! Highly recommend!
B.
Food is always good here, plenty of parking available even on weekends. The grounds are shared, so if other events are on, you may be expected to park in additional parking lots. Expect a wait if you turn up after 1130am, it's too be expected but worth the wait
M.
Good food, very fast moving environment, loud due to so many tables turning over. If you are looking for quiet experience this is not the place, make sure you book in advance as there is waiting list to get inside.
A.
best yum cha in AKL, just a little bit more expensive than other places, but totally worth.
J.
Food was average. A lot of it was cold and miserable looking. Certainly not a clean (as in clean tasting, fresh) set of dishes. Flavor was okay. Plenty doing the rounds but much going around and around...
M.
Nice place to go during the week, when they don’t limit your time of dining. Delious food, great service. However, seating is quite uncomfortable and awkward to enter, given this is a restaurant.
a.
Great service great food and atmosphere🥰
A.
Pricey but quality. My wife and I are not big eaters and we went through $80 of Yum-Cha.
S.
Tasty yum char, wonderful family experience and plenty of trolleys of dishes to choose from. Great staff.
T.
Pretty good Yum Cha. We arrived a bit late and some dishes were cold and then they stopped serving food. Delicious BBQ pork buns and Siomai!
P.
Pretty quality Dim Sum though waiting for a table really kills the experience. They do the mochi ice-cream but for something different, try the 'Sweet Hot Tofu' - it's a bit unusual at first but you get used to it.
F.
Been there many times. Absolutely the best Yum Cha place in Auckland! Really worth for the wait...better to book seats before you go.
T.
On the busy days the wait for a table is a bit ridiculous! But most of the time the food is worth it. More expensive than some of th other yumchas around
D.
Great place to eat. Although they charge $2 a head for tea.
D.
Taken here by local Chinese friends. Very impressed with range and quality of dishes. Best Yum Char experience so far in NZ, Hong Kong and China. SeemsSebookings
J.
Great food, and fast service. Abit pricey and time to fixed the potholes in the carpark

Went there for Yamaha during lunch time, its always the same cold food cart that pass my table, the warm food only pass once, and that's it. Leave with half empty stomach.
D.

n.
The food was great.... Side note don't go during lunch because the Que is too long.... But the food is fabulous
H.
Yum. Crazy queue on weekends around midday. Much prefer going there on weekdays around 2pm, no waiting at all.
J.

H.

Did yum cha one Sunday with a dozen friends - as you do. This building used to be Valentines but now has round tables for relaxed LOUD chatting & noshing Chinese fast food. Having lived in Hong Kong for a year I'm a yum cha junkie and love …
C.
Once you get inside the food flows quickly but you will probably be waiting a long time. Booking ahead does not seem to make much difference
A.
I love the food, I just hate the wait, even if you have booked.
