The best chips you ever tasted i swear😍😍 Kinda disappointed by the hotdogs they dont really taste fresh, but the burgers, egg fu yoong, etc: amazing. And the family are very nice and friendly always, which is awesome.

The food is delicious, especially the sea food fried rice. My dad loved the Grand special fried rice. I recommend you guys to try Grand takeaway!

Sometimes you just find that "genuine" food-place - like Grand takeaways. It might not look like much, and the English need some polishing - but this was THE best sweet-and-saur chicken with rice and fried rice with chicken we had ever eaten - and one of us have worked in China. Go here for really nice Chinese food... parhaps to bring home to enjoy (even though the chicken might loose some crispyness then).

First experience went in yesterday for a quick burger and chips.. Had a very friendly welcome from the Chief. Shortly after my lunch was hand delivered to my car by a friendly lady..Burger n chips were Yumo!!! maybe little more sauce on burger but it was Great! Thank You Very Much. Will definitely be a regular love

Amazing fish & Chips with Great quality & well priced. Best Chinese food at the beach I rarely give 5 stars. Got chips + 2 very large Hoki+sweet sour pork ,Hoki is only $4.00 after their price adjustment . . Beautiful fresh fish with a wonderful crispy batter. The portion size of the fish is larger than other shops and customer service is very friendly, 5 stars because of the excellent value for money, and one of the few places that's open on Monday. Will be back for sure

Good customer service, quick and efficient. Best Chinese takeaway I have come across so far. Good quality food and generous servings. The vegetables are fresh and crunchy, cook just right and there's plenty of it.

Good place to pick up your fish n chips or Chinese food while on your way to the beach for dinner. Just off the main road to Orewa from the motorway, this place offers authentic dishes and is a part of a small collection of shops, including a garage.

We love the Chinese food here - very good value for money, though can be a bit inconsistent. Chips are amazing and the best I’ve had on the coast. Biggest letdown is ordering on the phone- they desperately need someone with better English to take the phone calls as they have called me back more than once to check they got the order right as the person taking the call couldn’t understand my (native NZ) English...

Grand Takeaways is my "local" being the closest takeaway - but I hardly go there. I nearly always drive further to buy takeaways from anywhere else. The fish and chips are poor value. The chinese food is ok. Last time I visited the food premise rating was a 'B'. When I do order takeaways there I often feel like the staff are "barking" at me, almost demanding my order. It is not a very nice experience.
