I visited last Wednesday. Food was okay, pricey for the taste. But I'm giving 5 stars for the service. A bunch of island ladies served my family and they were really nice, very prompt, respectful, always checking on us seeing if we needed dishes removed, water. I must say the service was 10/10 for us. During Traffic Light system you order off a menu and the staff bring it to you which was great they were very fast with service as well, didn't have to wait long for anything. Thank you ladies you made our visit very great! Thank you for working hard it didn't go unnoticed ❤️

I went to Fortuna for dinner with my family on the 9/01/22 and I was disgusted with the food and lack of flavour as well as the selections they had. I decided to bring mum to Happy days for lunch and boy did we leave from there HAPPY. Great service beautiful food and lots of flavours and variety of flavourful foods. Am coming back for lunch today hehe and looking forward to enjoying multiple meals😍

🥳 Enjoyed our whanau’s pre-Christmas dinner before we go on different holidays. Great tasty hot foods and a vast selection of many, desserts divine, seafood wonderful, great atmosphere & ambience. Staff friendly and loved the rnb music vibe, definitely felt like Christmas before Christmas. Totally recommend and is now our favourite local to dine at, now. 😘

Came in to dine just after 6.30pm last night 16/8 and I was actually sceptical to come after reading the recent reviews even though we’ve been here multiple times before. Not every visit was as pleasurable as last nights but we thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere and service this time round. Although one staff member had an attitude problem as mentioned by others, I wasn’t gna let her ruin my night respectfully, the rest of the team was lovely :) The food was topped up and nice and hot throughout our visit, as were the chilled selections nicely chilled! Don’t recommend the roast potatoes: overcooked and hard, lasagne: overpowered by tomato sauce and macaroni pasta: it was bland and tasteless. Thankfully I only got small portions of each so to mask out the tomato flavour in the lasagne I ate it with the macaroni pasta and it was edible (I’m not a fan of wasting food but I refused to eat the roast potatoes which luckily I only got 2) The highlight for me personally was the cold salads (that egg salad is bomb as) and roast meat selections. Im pregnant and was hangry and it definitely hit the spot bar the 3 dishes mentioned above. Prawns were extremely easy to peel and eat and my partner went hundy on them. There was a great variety of desserts as well and we finished off with a nice hot cap from the espresso machine. Isn’t flash and the decor is outdated but you get what you pay for. Stations were clean and staff cleaned up spillages really fast. When it’s overpacked and fully booked it’s a nightmare to visit because you’re constantly battling with others for food or waiting for refills, but when it’s a nice smooth night with space to move freely without bumping into others like last night it’s a genuine experience you can enjoy. Would recommend calling in advance to confirm what their bookings are like.

Food was good and nice and hot. It was always refilled when nearly empty. Price was reasonable for the food only downsize was the jugs of drinks, ordered 3 without knowing the price and came to pay it costed $45! That's more expensive than the cost of one person.

We had an excellent dinner for my sisters 21st and food was tasty, hot and fresh. There were other families having birthdays but it didn’t affect our family having fun too so thank you for your great hospitality as our table was cleaned regularly. Place needs to be upgraded with its furnishings. Atmosphere was OK but the bar didn't serve cocktails has basic beverage. The lemonade didn't taste like lemonade, the water was warm had to go and ask for ice for the jug of water. The pumpkin soup was bland tasted like it was from the tin not homemade. The whole restaurant needs to overhauled. So the price we saw online was for $29 and the price advertised in the restaurant was showing $33. Which I queried at the desk and was told the price online was incorrect. If so they need to update the photo graphs with prices and take it down and put correct prices. Asked about the birthday special if the birthday person was free and was told no and that hasn't been like that for over 10 years and it's under new ownership only to see when I got there the owners are still the same people. Staff need to smiling not looking glum.

Very good choice of food and very good low price for buffet lunch. But service was OK. It is too busy and over crowded there. Too many people everywhere and no empty spaces, very noisy. Staff working very hard for their money and look like overworked. Good restaurant, but not for everyone. 5 Stars for food and 3 Stars for service. Recommend if you do not mind too many people and noise.

Partner and I go for breakfast quite frequently. Your usual breakfast menu plus a couple of other hot dishes. We went Tuesday 25 November 2018. To be honest I was expecting it to be mediocre but was awesomely impressed. The staff were nice (hard working as well) the atmosphere was relaxed. It was busy and a busy smorgasbord is a fresh smorgasbord!! Value for money was impressive! As a Chef I know about food costing and the variety they had on offer was vast. I don't know how anyone could be unhappy with this restaurant. We will be going again. Just one thing though, don't go in expecting the Ritz, the decor is very modest and quite dated. FIVE stars from us!!!

OMG! I love this place. I celebrated my birthday here. They do have a dine in for free on your birthday, but you will need 4 people with you in order for you dine in for free in your birthday. All you can eat. I love it because they have a lot of variety of food that you can choose from, you can even have desserts as well as coffee or tea. They have everything and the place is so clean. They have friendly staffs and they take your plate when your done they bring water to your table when it's finished they also have a bar. But if your wanting Fizzy or juice they will charge you. They have a rest room for male and female. Love it as its a cosy place to have dinner with your family or friends. Good place to go too. Breakfast/Lunch and also Dinner. Call in to book a table because sometimes there all booked out and it's a way where you can come in and dine in.

It was good. Just ya typical buffet but pretty good variety. A lot to choose from, compared to Valentines. Decor seems like it hasn't changed in decades but didn't bother me too much. Although it's the first buffet that didn't have ice cream. Overall it was good.

This was my first time dining at Happy Days Manukau and I have to say that it wasn't too bad at all. In fact, I would have to admit that it was good. The food is typical of most buffet restaurants but good. I didn't have any of the main meats, however, the meats looked yum. I had the salad and seafood which was 100% better than Valentine's. Staff were polite and friendly, parking was abundant and it wasn't as crowded as I thought for a Sunday. So overall a very nice experience.

Been three times this year, never had a problem. Good affordable place for a small/big crowd. Great selection of food very tasty (although there isn't much variation between dinner and lunch, besides the price). Had a mix up with booking, but the manager kindly accommodated us, which we appreciated. First visit I thought the place was a bit outdated, but I did notice there has been some upgrades since (new carpet). I would recommend Happy Days to less fussy people who appreciate a good feed and are grateful towards others. Thank you Happy Days for full belly.

We hadn't been to Happy Days for many years, on the way home from a holiday we were passing and decided to drop in on a Saturday night, the restaurant was fully booked but the Owner kindly made us a table up in the bar area which suited us fine. The food was very nice, I would rate it much higher than Valentines, great selection and plenty of choices for children and adults. Upon paying for our meals, which should have been for an Adult, a Senior and a 10 yr old child. The Owner quietly told the cashier to charge us for 2 Seniors I suppose this was due to us being set up in the bar area, a very nice gesture. We will be back :-)

I ate here 20 days of the the month one time and it never failed. The food is good and the dessert table had a lot of variety. I would only say the downfall is it's the same food over and over and sometimes it taste like it was just preheated. Other than that it taste very good!

Very surprised at finding this place. Happy days used to be at western springs. I went here on a Monday evening at 5.30pm the staff were friendly and smiling. I was anxious to start deciding what to eat. Wow what a lot of options to choose from. The seafood was delicious little octopus with a nice sauce. The mushrooms were oh so delicious with the vegetables ham pork pieces even slices of taro yummy. The desert was spoiled for choices.. it was the bread pudding with custard that made my evening. I'm coming back here again

It's pretty average, the staff were lovely, the price was medium range for a buffet styled restaurant but the building is in need of some changes, the decorations are quite disgusting with the preserved things in jars and some foods were not re-stocked an hour before lunch was closed. Overall it was an ok experience.

Excellent variety of food to pick from it is hard to decide just what to have. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Price is reasonable as well. Hamilton needs a restaurant like this.

Highly recommend their fried chicken and tuna salad. It was so good! And their seafood range was quite nice, especially the prawns omg they were so fresh. The rest of the food was alright and the dessert menu was a little disappointing. A bit pricey for food that is above average, but i guess for a buffet it does seem reasonable... Just wanted to point out a few things though, i noticed that the staff members weren't wearing a uniform. It was quite fustrating as i needed a water refill from a staff member but i didn't know who was working there. My table was in the far back and i didn't want to keep going up and down to the front desk and ask. Also, i was quite distracted by the amount of tagging around the walls. The cleaners should see to that as it does not look good while eating. One last thing, the outside steps at the front entrance had a huge puddle (a saftey hazzard) luckily my brother moved the mat to cover it because it wouldve caused a serious accident, especially since my sister inlaw was carrying her baby and she could've slipped up. However, my night was not ruined by all the concerns, just things that they could look into it i guess. Overall i rate this joint a 3/5 :)

This was our first time going, and we went on "Steak night", the food was fairly good, the environment was comfortable enough, it was a buffet and our finished plates were removed promptly without any fuss. I would have liked to have a bigger desert bowl, but it was easy enough to go back for more then one helping :) We went with our 2yo and 10yo, fortunately for us they were well behaved and didn't need to have any play area, but if they had there wasn't anywhere for them. Would we go back with the whole family (5 kids in all) I'm not sure. Possibly

If you're looking for a peaceful/romantic eatery this restaurant is not for you! Truly happy days! Great buffer restuarant that you can feel at home in. Staff are friendly and happy to have you there and enjoy their food. The buffet selection is very generous with a notably tasty ham option. The desserts are also great and just like the mains, you'll be spoilt for choice! However we dined there last night 24 August 2015- and was happily surprised. The buffet selection was great, and food was excellent. Right down to the dessert selection. Will have to dine in again. We went to happy days on 7th Jan. On first impressions the place looked tired and lack luster but decided to go in anyway. We were told they needed the table back in one hour which was fine as they had other bookings coming in. The food was great, big selection of seafood, hot food, cold salads and desserts. There was a BIG group booking in when we arrived so wait staff didn't get around to offering us any drinks, which again was fine. For what you pay for and for a Buffett it's brilliant. If you want 5* dining go to sky city and pay through the nose for it, if not go to happy days manukau

Hello first of all when we got in there the seating was all wrong a 21st was happening and some of that family was sitting at the back of us. only 1 staff members look happy.. the tables and chairs were so close together hard to go round.. food was nice. the chips were cold the fish was muchy.. the main door for the ladys toilets was held open by a big table and the toilets looked dirty eewww.

Honestly I've been to Happy Days Manukau many times. I'm shocked to see how many people write a one star bad review! But when I try to follow each of those persons, often the name isn't even a real name, and they look like trolls who don't contribute anywhere else at all, no pic, and in my opinion, only made this one bogus review to make this restaurant look bad! Likewise the ones who comment about other people's comments, but don't say they've actually experienced this place for themselves, is also shocking! Don't trust everything you read online peoples!!! Trolls can be set up to try to destroy businesses. Happy Days, you have trolls! Google, please get a system to get rid of these obvious trolls! Review readers, search for yourselves, some reviews may be genuine, but certainly double check the ones that don't add up, and question the abhorently ridiculous ones, which if were true, the place would have been shut down, or the person would have made a legitimate complaint to higher up or the health authorities. So I don't believe their validity at all. For those who want the most expensive food and waiters wearing cummabunds, sure, you can pay 50 times the price, and go to somewhere elite. For the money you pay at this restaurant, I consider it very good value, with a nice variety, and I myself, and my friends who go regularly, always made to feel welcome there by the staff, and I find the food tasty and fresh. I fully recommend Happy Days Manukau. Good luck review readers!

I gave this a 3 star because the waitresses attitude was shocking...no smile, stoney looking faces, two girls came with a big black container and collect the dishes from our table, she throw the cups and saucers inside the container slams the plates as they collect them..what kind of service is that to give paying customers.i asked the same waitress where the desert spoon are, she gesture with her hand and walk of without uttering a word, I witness the same reaction from her when she was asked something from another dinner .. I was invited there because it's my cousins birthday dinner, first and the last time, not recommended😟
