Reviews of Headquarters
R.
Wow! That's the sum up word. What we really enjoyed apart from food and drinks, is the service. Highly appreciate Ben who served us and the young girl and a boy (sorry don't know the names) who made a wonderful customized mocktail for us. Definitely will have that next time. Shout out for Ben 👍. What a location to enjoy all these . . .
F.
Unplanned lunch out we were just doing our morning walk when we found headquarters it has a character and a huge area. The place was good a lot of things happening around the service was really pleasing she was very accommodating not intrusive we had the table at the balcony which was a delight. We shared the cheese toast for started it was a baked cheese with money and walnuts and it was delicious make sure to eat it right away as it gets tough and chewy when it gets cold. For mains I had the ravioli my husband had the fish and we shared a cauliflower side. The plates looks beautiful the colors everything looks nice unfortunately the flavours didn't work for us it's just a matter of personal preference the fish was cooked well but the Kumara tasted soo sweet the ravioli is a bit dry out of the 3 it was the cauliflower that we liked. Nonetheless it was nice to try and we enjoyed ourselves.

Defs coming back! Had a wonderful night and the food was just 🤤! Don’t get me started on the desserts it was DELICIOUS! Went to celebrate one of our sisters birthday and we were shocked when they turned the lights off and played Happy Birthday in the background! Thanks for making it an amazing night for our girl! 🤍🤍
H.
Charming place with an opulent and luxurious atmosphere. Really loud music but staff is really patient and friendly (just miss a smile but understand that in a busy times like Friday night, there's no place for one.)
Food is delicious with mostly asian fusion cuisine with a high-end finish.
A pool table was set at some point during the evening, and dancefloor was fully packed with party goers.
Recommend to book as it gets busy easily.
Don't look funny when you are passing the security because they will not allowed wasted individuals women or men to come even with bookings!!
Actually shootout to all the staff in these busy times
Highly Recommend this place (for drinks or dinner)!
B.
Great food and excellent service - had a nice view from one of the tables in the covered deck area and just really enjoyed the vibe here. We had Oysters and breads to start with beef eyefillet and a pizza for mains. All were yummm as was the beer!
백.
The ceviche was really fresh and delicious, the meat was accurately grilled, the pizza was disappointing that the truffle flavor was light and the pizza that was a little burnt.
But I will go again because I experienced the best steak:)
J.
A great social venue located in the heart of the Auckland Viaduct. With ships docked within reach, the City Sails is on full display at HeadQuarters Viaduct.
Whether you are grabbing a drink, have a snack from the bar menu or dropping in for a lunch or dinner, you will have many mouth watering choices. The staff are welcoming and quick, and if you're new and not sure what to try, ask for a recommendation from them. Great music buzzing in the background with the gentle ocean breeze and flowing atmosphere of conversation, you'll loose track of time.
When you decide to stop in, let them know John Loau has sent you and have a cracking time!
m.
Great service equals great food plus whānau time is good vibes and epic experience.
K.
Lovely food and great service. Fantastic place to have dinner! Love the salted caramel expresso martinis 😋
D.
Came here for NYE 2021 and the atmosphere was good. Staff were friendly and drinks were served nicely. Bouncers were friendly too. Food seemed nice too so will have to give it a go!
R.
Very happy with the service
Especially at the bar. It was Joshua lee who served me and will definitely will be back because of his excellent service.
P.
Something special. Great service, food next level from what you can cook yourself, lovely calm outlook to water and boats. A wonderful place to treat yourself or family as we did.
Y.
Nice restaurant/bar near the viaduct to have lunch, dinner or just drinks. A bit on the expensive side but the service is very good and atmosphere of place is relaxed. We had a work lunch which the staff were very accommodating when we had large group. Food was tasty and portion size of the meals were good for most dishes. Only thing was that a few dishes (chook and steaks) were on the slightly saltier side. Had only tried the passionfruit mojito cocktail so far and that really packed a punch. The experience overall was pleasant.
E.
First time in New Zealand and treated to a lovely dinner at @hqviaduct 👌🏼👌🏼
.
Great food, great company and a great intro to New Zealand. I ordered the Wakanui Scotch Fillet Steak 🥩
.
It was served rare which is good, along with broccolini and a potato gratin 🤤👌🏼
.
Others ordered pizzas or the ribs, which looked equally as amazing 👍🏼
R.
Fantastic food, great people, ecstatic vibe! I'll let the photos speak for itself. Simply yummy! This might be the headquarters of food and good vibes! 🙌💯⚡
P.
Great views and various setting styles, but screen for sports and entertainment but the passing walkers are entertaining too. They have a fun novelty shuck putt game too. Food is great but the pizzas are less than average imo. Staff are friendly and good.
Getting drinks at night is a mission, but hey its busy. 4.5
R.
Great restaurant overlooking the water. Can be busy when the cruise ship comes in. The lamb chops where excellent and also the chicken sandwich was outstanding. Burger was good but they can only cook medium to well-done. Full size shuffle board in The bar area. Outdoor patio weather permitting. Price is on the high end but overall a great experience.
P.
Awesome location and atmosphere. Delicious variety of fine dining food and drinks option with DJ music. Friendly staff and great service.
F.
Great place for a Sunday family lunch. We had great food, and the staff was very friendly and... patient with the little ones. Thanks, we'll be back.
M.
Place is very nice. Food was delicious 😋.. my steak was cooked perfectly. Service was great. My only negative is that is a bit high price.
s.
I’ve dined at hq several times. Good food and drinks menu.
Love coming here on the weekend evenings too, so much fun, but the line isn’t haha.
B.
Great food and service!! Will definitely be back.
P.
Fantastic avo at Leo's place, really realy good food, duck salad and ribs very tasty. Friendly staff and a great vibe.
Will definitely go back again. 👍🤗👍
K.
Yum, yum, yum and great location to boot. We went for an early dinner (with a child) but still busy at this time of year and it was a sunny day. We had a table on the porch and it was lovely - music was loud music and views of the water. Menu had a great selection of food and we will be back to try the pizza. Staff were really good but perhaps a little busy at times.
N.
Fairly good service and staff are always friendly. Some of the patrons are a bit out there but always a good place for a party. Great location and standard prices too
C.
Very vibrant and lively even on a weeknight! The service was superb, we felt very looked after eventhough the place was packed. The food was beautiful especially the lamb,,, wished i ordered one just for myself.
S.
Music & DJ were excellent.....Bouncers do a great job however feedback to improve quality: I noticed that some women were permitted to dance & males were immediately pushed off the dance floor by placing their hands in the small of customers back. A bouncer came up to a table and asked a male standing at the table to sit on the chair, as standing at the table was not permitted...its ridiculous as to the way some of your staff interpret MOH directives......Two women who were permitted to dance continously in the vicinity of the DJ area !!! It is a clear example of gender bias & your CCTV will confirm this review.
G.
Genius menu with killer wood fired pizzas. Great choice of NZ wines. Burrata salad rocks. Service is friendly and casual. Wonderful beach club vibe and night club music for pre-millennials. Reasonable prices, and fabulous food!
J.
Nice refreshing cocktails and good vibes with plenty of room for a good night out. Good music too. I liked the cocktails minus the glass shard in my drink. I took it back to get new one.
M.
A nice spot, for anytime of the day. I've been at night, with the club scene and also for an early lunch with 2 people. It's a great little spot when the suns shining down, although outside does get a bit warm. I haven't tried much from their menu, but their customer service was amazing when we went for lunch. We had the market fish, and it was beautiful. Really hard to eat, but really really tasty. You should check it out, if you're ever in town!
R.
Great food and atmosphere.
Not a cozy place but great for a evening out with friends.
B.
This is a great place to hang out. Lots of room to chill out on a beautiful day and the views of the water are just lovely. Its a really nice spot and not too uncomfortably “posh”. It is a place that you can bring the kids (outside) and they have a really neat big outdoor chess board that you can play. This would a an awesome spot to spend a lazy day at. Eat drink play.
D.
First time visit, not a seasoned frequenter of the CBD. GREAT STAFF and my fish dish was awesome. Many thanks👍👍😎
M.
Omg! Great place!! Love hansss and benn!!! The waiters he is so cute love him xx thank you xx
A.
Went as a Christmas group and was very well looked after. Great set menu option well prepared and served. Great wines and nice atmosphere. Perfect place on a nice day by the viaduct. Worth a try.
M.
Plenty of space to sit and enjoy a meal both inside and outside. Drink order was mixed up and wrong beer given, no apology, then the lamb was raw, sent back and came back better, still no apology, chip in beer glass, beer replaced no apology. Asked if sauce comes with the main and got shrug of the shoulders and said whatever it says in the menu is what you get. Service let the place down.
M.
Party atmosphere. Good music. Areas for dining. Great food and service. Dancing!
D.
Absolutely fabulous. Went for lunch. Great location. Oysters to start. Fish for main. Sticky date pudding and cheese board for dessert. Atmosphere terrific. Staff excellent. A wonderful experience.
Place was full of AB supporters before the test so lots of noise and banter.
L.
Great location, delicious food, amazing atmosphere. Tried the Salmon Gravlax pizza, Wakanui Scotch Fillet, and the Monteith's Crushed Apple Cider. The Wakanui Scotch Fillet was especially good, cooked to medium rare as requested. Tender and juicy. The pizza was good too, the cheese and salmon flavors complementing each other.
D.
It’s nice, you’re gonna have an amazing time here, it has a good vibe, the drinks are okay, the people are friendly
O.
Lovely place for a nice dinner and or lunch and then later on to head over to the bar to have a couple of cheeky cold ones.
Nice open kitchen when at the restaurant side or you can chill outside and have a glaze at the many parked boats.
M.
food was really good and the service is great as well
M.
Nice place, good location, wooden fire oven pizza, those are already pretty good combinations.
Must say that headquarters viaduct has improved a lot since the opening. it is a cozy restaurant with super confy chair you can see that someone has invested few pounds here, i tried the pizza and it is pretty good with reasonable price.
It has also a pub side if you feel like only having a drink.
might be coming back.
cheers
M.
Well, this is one customer you've lost. I can't believe your sheer arrogance at implementing an apartheid system in your venue. I am sure you will lose thousands more customers over your decision. Hopefully, you will be out of business soon. New Zealand does not need people like you who are no better than rasists.
C.
Been waiting for this place to open as i work in the area. Decided to Try coffee and Lunch today
Coffee was fantastic and a great way to start the day.
I had the Pulled Pork Sandwhich with Pickled red onion apple suace and fries and it did not dissapoint , the pork has a little spice which is just enough to tingle your tounge!!
Staff are very friendly and the background music is nice.
Great spot if you wish to have a bite with a view
A.
Group of ten celebrating wife's 38th birthday from 2pm to 6pm enjoyed the arvo. Good bar snacks but a bit weird we couldn't order the fantastic platters seen on the menu. Barman was really arrogant & acted like we were a inconvenience but security were friendly & we had a good time celebrating in a great location.
N.
Welcome to HQ.
We’re a pop up, a very lucky pop up on the best site in the Viaduct, and arguably the best site in Auckland.
We’ll be around for a while, long enough to make a difference in the Viaduct, and to see the America’s Cup successfully defended.
We are by nature enthusiastic foodies, driven by a desire to offer simple and humble food. We try to source the best available, we finish everything over the flame, and we’d like to think we offer something unique and special.
We’re no one trick pony though, we have a great bar, we do live music on a regular basis, DJs typically Wednesday through Sunday, we can cater for functions up to 300 pax, and we do product launches.
Our 5m by 2.8m LED big screen is the largest of its type indoors in NZ so if you’re into sports or music we’re the place for you.
Kinda sounds like we’re everything to everybody, and I guess we are, so let’s talk, get in touch, and let us show you a good time.
A.
Had an awesome time catching up with friends. The secret is to arrive early if you want to avoid the queues. A fine selection of both food and drinks. Will be back because we missed the desserts
H.
The best spot for bluff oysters! $25/dozen from 12-5pm. Service is efficient and friendly.
P.
Good place to hang out with your mates. Nice layout, love the bean bag setting. Peppy music when I visited on a Friday night. Definitely coming back.
E.
Great drinks, good prices, staff was friendly, and we loved the retro 80's music playing. If we were locals, we would come again!
S.
Dined here for lunch today. Enjoyed the ambience and food and the staff were great although at times a bit inattentive as a few of us wanted drinks and ended up hoofing it to the bar.
R.
Usually go here for drinks rather than to eat but when I do have food it's not a bad experience. Featured is the rotisserie spice rubbed chook with buttery mash and coleslaw. Pizzas are a must try here!
J.
Love this place great views and free seating. There is a nice section with beds where you can seat and just enjoy the view. Food and drinks are a bit pricey, quality is OK. View make it up for the food.
P.
Great place! Went for lunch on Saturday, nice and quiet environment, excellent service! The pizza was really good but the chips where amazing, nice and crispy outside soft inside.
T.
Food was delicious, the portions were generous, the price was reasonable, the location is superb and the service was excellent.
K.
I was pretty underwhelmed here...the staff seemed to hate their jobs and would’ve preferred it if no one came here at all. Tacos (2 for $20) were fine but nothing special. Same for the $12 beers.
C.
This ain’t a complaint about the service, food or drinks but a group next to us were playing the popular games app heads up by known racist Ellen DeGeneres and it was annoying.
E.
It is always great to have some drinks at Headquarters. Reasonable price and good selections of drinks and food. Absolutely recommend.
b.
Food was delicious
Customer service fabulous
The fish moist and tasty
Atmosphere cool
Location awesome
E.
Perfect place to enjoy a lovely refreshing drink on a warm day.
We sat outside which over looked the harbour and there was a great live musician there which really set the atmosphere.
Prices were really reasonable and they even had a Sunset menu which was further discounted drinks untill sundown.
I didn't here although there were plenty of large tables enjoying snacks etc which looked mouth watering and smelt delicious.
J.
Excellent viaduct bar with huge outdoor area and plenty of room for big groups. Right on the corner of the Viaduct frontage pull up a bean bag or an old school cane love seater to while away the summer hours in.
You may have to zip inside for your drinks, including solid Aperol Spritzes, a sturdy range of Tuatara craft beers and your reliable Heineken, but that’s just an opportunity to weigh up your chances at the pinball machine or on the other broad walk style slot games.
Up in the veranda offers more seating where you have a great opportunity to develop one of their good sized pizzas or to smash their pork buns. The soft shell crab, chicken, or vegetarian tacos all hit the spot, though in snack portions will leave you ordering more.
Go here and enjoy the $60 bottles of Moët before sunset and if your serve in uniform you get a great 30% discount, whether you’re Army, Navy, Fire, Police, or Ambulance. Hear, hear, Headquarters!
J.
Very enjoyable experience, we had drinks and snacks, is pricey but in prime location, great to catch up with friends and hangout with mates, nice outdoor seating.
A.
Chill vibes and great cocktails by the harbour. Love the ambience and the super comfy seats/chairs. If you want to just lay back, relax and enjoy some alcohol with the sun then this is the place to go. I suggest go early so you can grab a good place to sit.
View from the place is of the yachts and a beautiful sunset. A must visit if you want to unwind and feel the ocean breeze and sun.
D.
Great atmosphere, brilliant decor and the food was awesome.
J.
Variety of drinks served by friendly bartender Josh. Excellent service provided by him, very happy. Thank you!
P.
Great place, beautiful food and awesome staff. Excellent service and so very friendly. I will be back soon to show even more friends how cool this place is.
t.
Wonderful honest food. Not expensive but superbly presented with love and passion. Try the Toothfish. Drink champagne and watch the rich and restless come out to play.
E.
I love this place the owner is a good person through and through. Beautiful values. I’ll support this place as long as the owners owns it. Thank you
D.
Dont get me started. Just kidding. This please is easily the busiest place in Auckland. At least in the summer months that must definitely be the case. Great happy hour deals before sunset. Superb location means the place is really crowded on any sunny day. Plenty indoor and outdoor tables. The management knows what they are doing over there. I wish there were more establishments like this one. The owners must have a license to print money. Well deserved profits if you ask me.
S.
My daughter julie leitch took me to Headquarters in the #viaduct for lunch today I had whitebait followed by a good Tender Steak great views from the restaurant and great staff and really enjoyable food I’ll be back
Sir Peter Leitch👍
Just caught up with Monty Betham (former Warrior & Boxer) and Coco tairi (former netballer/presenter/model) and have put an interview I did with each of them on my Facebook page Sir Peter Leitch
C.
Nothing special, just another bar with mediocre service. Plenty of those on the viaduct.
Decor is confusing sand somewhat outdated and try-hard, atmosphere is... well a bar! Feels more like a pick up joint then a place to hang with family or friends.
Parking is hard but there's plenty of parking buildings.
T.
The most comfortable restaurant that has amazing seatings in the Viaduct. The atmosphere is so welcoming and cozy. I have been here a few times with friends mostly for drinks. I am sure they have good food too.
S.
Second time here but first time situated inside. Vibe is good and suitable for all ages I would say as you see all generations from your 18s - over 50s. Music is definitely old school, not really my genre as I don't know half the music to be honest as I am a 90s baby. Maybe more of what my parents would listen to but no complaints. I think the place is very small for the crowd it allows inside as everyone and everything is crammed so you are literally always in someone's personal space or vice versa. But overall, I think it's a good place and good facilities.
K.
Lively (or noisy, depends on how u look at it), pricy (entree at $20+ and mains at around $40ish to $50) and the portions were small for the price (or classy, again depends on how u look at it). Food tasted good! Services were good! Loved the decor.
H.
Cool atmosphere for big or small group with loads of seating options, especially the bean bags and cabanas outside for something different. With the bonus of waterviews on the viaduct. Best regular meal and drink specials I've seen anywhere until 8.30pm. Fun music to dance to once the lights go down. Happy, friendly crowd, guaranteed good night!
N.
Great view, nice drinks, cozy chairs, and a lively ambiance. It wasn't too busy because we went on a Monday night but I've heard from locals it is slammed on Fridays & Saturdays.
L.
Whether meeting with your friends to socialize and have a great time, HQ is the place to go to for a LIT AS NITE!!💯🙌🏼👍👌😊
T.
Great spot good beer will be back
E.
Came here for casual pre Christmas work do, and absolutely loved it! I have been here a few time just for drinks and a bite to eat, but haven’t considered writing a review till now!
Pizza here is amazing both the tiger prawn and the truffle mushroom one. Their buttery mash is surprisingly simple and delicious! Meat platter was worth while to order if you got a few guests to share with, as the portion is way larger then you will imagine!
Overall vibe and music from the bar side is awesome! Awesome staff that’s ran around trying to get us a working outdoor heater! 5 star mate!
But if you not into loud music, this is probably not the place for u to go to.
N.
Love the buzz and ambience of this place, its one of my favourite place to go for drinks. I have always visited over the weekend its been packed, thats the beauty about it. Great crowd and good cocktails.
A.
Stephanie was our waitress & from the very beginning, gave us incredible service! It was so busy but she remained attentive and didn't show any signs of stress - despite her hectic section!
Food was amazing, so happy to see such a variety of gluten free options!
Thanks so much ☺️
J.
Everything is so right here.service...food...pricing are outstanding
C.
This is a wonderful place to sit back on one of the overstuffed beanbag chairs, couches or anorak chairs and take in the sun and tranquil Auckland harbour. Sip on margaritas and indulge in a variety of bar snacks. Great staff and service! People watch, rub shoulders with local celebs or simply enjoy this unique experience with that special someone or group of friends.
S.
Fantastic venue for our Christmas party - great food, service, water views and even a friendly celebrity for our team shot
M.
Totally totally fabulous
The food was perfect.
Looked amazing ..had a huge meat platter to share pizza's salads,, salmon to die for..champagne and brilliant staff ...Lovely man Steve looked after us . Worth his weight in gold ..
G.
One of my favorire spot in the Viaduct. Great food (really like the pizza and some of the starter) in an unique location. Spacious seating inside and outside. Suggested for lunch and dinner but also for a bit of nightlife.
J.
Love the dj and easy listening music and bartenders were awesome
i.
We had lunch there today.
It was excellent as was the service, the staff were very friendly and helpful, a lot of other restaurants should take note, this is a good example of how a restaurant should be run.
The headquarters restaurant.
S.
Good service, quality delicious food, relax environment with beautiful harbour views. We went for lunch, two mains and 4 drinks cost less than $100, very reasonable. Btw the background music was classic oldies, a pleasant lunchtime selection. We will definitely go back again!
s.
Been here multiple times to drink and party
First time dining
Very good experience
Great staff and excellent service
Food was very good - I ordered the steak
A bit too noisy but then again, it is primarily a place to drink and party, so not exactly a complaint
D.
Heard mix reviews about the service here but I came here on a Wednesday night so it wasn’t busy so I couldn’t really rate you the service here. The vibes were good as they were playing 80s music 🎶 standard viaduct priced drinks
k.
Atmosphere and amazing food combined with fab service
M.
Lovely place, nice ambience and rude behaviour of the Manager managing tables reserves...
Recommendation: be aware, confused policy of reservations...
I.
We have been here a few times, but on Saturday, which was a carry on from my birthday from Friday, where we caught up with an old rugby mate and his wife ,whom we played rugby together in Melbourne for Harlequins. The owner who's name has slipped my mind, was unbelievable, hospitality at its best, he went out of his way to find us a table, as it was very packed as usual, then he even found us a more comfortable table out of the breeze which blew us away. We even had table service, and he also put on the big screen for my mates niece who couldn't find her husband , who was at the bar ,wearing a green shirt!!. We were all blown away , and as he said when we thanked him ,"it's all about hospitality " and he definitely owned it. I feel bad because I can't remember his name, but I am catching up with a few mates there this Friday to repay the hospitality ❤❤
J.
$20 jugs before sun down. Best location in Auckland.
F.
Last minute decision to come here for a family lunch. Such a VIBE! Best experience I have had taking my little family here. The staff are A++ brought desert and had a birthday wish on it unexpectedly. Little things like this go a long way. The Food was tasty!! Desert I had the rhubarb crumble and wooowww. RHANK YOU HQ FAMILY FOR A MEMORABLE 1ST EXPERIENCE! 🍻 TO MANY MORE
J.
Sent them an email to book a date to dine but they never came back to me at all for my query.
B.
Beautiful food. Great service
B.
Had a mixed meat platter and seafood platter between 4 people. Drinks and friendly helpful service. Will go there again
R.
Dinner was nice but strange billing system of drinks to identify each nip rather than a double being a standard measure etc...having said that, we did ask for changes/non Drinks listed cocktails (just thought it would show it as ie. Double ? Gin & mix or x ?gin cocktail). I do understand the reasoning why they do though....it wasn't a biggy just different. Staff were all brilliant and professional. Highly recommend HQ.
R.
Great atmosphere and bar with big screen TV
J.
It's a little too political for my liking, but the food is great (had the ribs, the hot sauce isn't crazy hot so go higher than you think you might usually do). Whisky bar is a definite highlight - excellent range and prices.
A.
Was lucky enough to get a table outside last saturday around 3pm. Great vibes and scenery to catch up with family and friends. A popular place to visit indeed if your in Auckland.
A.
Very nice and quiet during the day 🤪

Enjoy the vibe here. Entertainment always good and friendly service.

Food amazing. Dancing, music and lots of people. This place has it all. Love it
p.
Great place to enjoy with friends
J.
Pros: location, service (this was a stand out) also high cool factor (full of loud 20somethings so must be). Pizza was tasty (although some bases really burnt).
Loved the bouncer ID-ing my 14 year old. He was great. Doing fab job. Also loved they gave the kids free icecream. 😁
Cons: Loud 20 somethings smoking. I hate vaping and ciggies. So trash. Can’t get away from it outside. (Stick them out the back somewhere away from the view in a smoking only section?) They also sing very badly to the (loud) 80s music.
F.
Had the best dinner ever!!!! Arrived at 6.30pm to meet a few friends for a drink, our table wasnt till 8.30pm. I was seated immediately by the most wonderful, courteous staff, who took our drink orders. We were seated before 8.30pm and at the best table in the resturant. We were all looking forward to the meat platter but unfortunately this was not on the menu . I asked if we could combine the available meat dishes on a platter and the chef came back with the most amazing delicious platter we have ever eaten. We had the best night and Headqauters is my favourite place for Amazing food, Great Atmosphere and music. Cant wait to return!!! And cant wait to be able to dance once we are at level 1
A.
I love their food and their service but the music can be a bit too loud if you go there in the evening on the weekends. I have been there twice, once during the week when the music was at a quieter volume which made for a pleasant experience as I was able to talk to my friend. It's such a classy place and it could be even classier with lower volume music on the weekends. Otherwise I love their food, I had a beautiful market fish there and amazing desserts, their chefs definitely have amazing skills and their waiters are lovely and polite so top marks for that.
A.
Very positive vibe when you walk in! 😊 nicely cooked food and the location for it is superb!
It's any wonder you guys are packed every night! Keep it up! 👍
L.
Have to say, this is a good spot but the only thing that lets it down is the enforcement of collar shirts. Almost no clubs in Auckland are enforcing these rules anymore. As long as you look tidy I don't see why you shouldn't be let in. The dress code should be amended. With that said, the service is great and the bouncers are friendly!
C.
Fab location service and food! Highly recommend this restaurant!
E.
Amazing service. Heavenly food. Awesome cocktails!
B.
Had a mixed meat platter and seafood platter between 4 people. Drinks and friendly helpful service. Will go there again
R.
Great spot for a drink with friends, overlooking the water, comfortable stools.
S.
Good service, quality delicious food, relax environment with beautiful harbour views. We went for lunch, two mains and 4 drinks cost less than $100, very reasonable. Btw the background music was classic oldies, a pleasant lunchtime selection. We will definitely go back again!
S.
Great place for summer hangout
J.
Nice place for a beer, view of the harbour, video music and bar games.
n.
Great place with some great jugs deals. Long may that continue.
They put the cricket on for our group which made us very happy. Hard to watch cricket in a busy place like that but they certainly accommodated us..
Only thing I'd say is the chairs around high tables close to the bar a overly big and bulky and in the way late in the evening. Nothing to dwell though.
Very fun and lively place. Can't beat it on a sunny afternoon
L.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Been many times now and never disappointed. Our waitress Liz is the best ever. She's amazing😊
D.
Was really good food just took what i felt like was too long for our drinks to arrive
z.
Very nice lovely place, if you looking for the time to rest and have a couple of drinks or a meal,I recomend this place.
Good view, nice music and good seating.
The HQ has professional barista and you can get may non alcoholic drinks and cocktails.
I love the HQ environment and the big screen they have.the out seating is amazing and very nice place for chatting and have a social life.
Highly recommended and I am glad that Auckland has this place.
j.
Great music, drinks and good time. If you want a place to listen song from the 70's, 80's and 90's this is the place to go. I have had many great night here dancing until three/four in the morning.
B.
Had the best fish I've ever had! The "market fish" this day was hapuku. Never heard of it before. They live in deep water in the far southern oceans. It was excellent. Companion had salmon which was also very good. Plated nicely. Excellent waitress. Very nice view sitting outside in February. Glad we gave it a try. You can also order drinks and snacks at the bar yourself and sit at the outside tables or inside. Convenient to the Hilton and cruise ships
J.
Faultless Service and a free teeshirt.
♥️
D.
Lovely view, good pizzas, steak was absolutely delicious
A.
Enjoyed a Friday night out here a few weeks back with friends. I managed to get served beer pretty quickly which is always good. The atmosphere was fun and i enjoyed the music, staff were helpful and friendly - a nice spot on the viaduct.
N.
Great food, helpful staff, good range of drinks. The prices are quite high, but given the location and the quality of service - it's well worth it.
Atmosphere - 90's and early 2000's pop hits help you feel like you've rolled back the years. :)
W.
Excellent location, great food, and awesome beer!
R.
Great food, awesome staff, mint music. Can't wait to get back there.
F.
Good vibe, good music. Seems like the go too club after 9pm on a Friday.
M.
Amazing location. Great vibe. This bar was packed! Was definitely a bit of a queue for a drink... Recommend double parking to save the second trip and the 15 minute wait! Lazy Sunday afternoons on a sunny day and this place is the best. Lots of sun loungers and outdoor seating. Bottles of moet and your set!
M.
Pretty packed on the weekends. But they have a great dance floor and DJ set up with classic hit and music videos playing in the background. Huge outdoor area with nice views. And of course, quality drinks! Highly reccomend.
s.
Very slow bar staff more interested in chatting . Check how much you are being charged against the price list. Great decor good 80s music and a fantastic location.
S.
Brilliant service and atmosphere every time
A.
Great food, beautiful views and good service, although it could be more attention to detail when it comes to service, as in remembering to bring our menus or cutlery. Other than that, I really recommend this place, their food is amazing and I always have a great experience when returning here. Also love the online booking option and that they send you a reminder. Amazing place overall 😊
g.
We really just go there for drinks and bubbles, both are good, great area
You would be nuts to go somewhere else
R.
Came here in the afternoon and there was a buzz and energy in the atmosphere. Asked bartender for a mocktail and although not stated on the drinks menu he was happy enough to make something off menu on the spot. Great customer service and hospitality.
J.
Fantastic location. great vibe. This bar is more often then not very busy, Was definitely a bit of a queue for a drink... Recommend double parking to save the second trip and the 15 minute wait! Lazy Sunday afternoons on a sunny day and this place is the best. Lots of sun loungers and outdoor seating. Bottles of Moet and your set!
J.
Went there yesterday for our ‘Wedding Lunch’. Only chose this restaurant because early one Saturday morning the Maître D saw me peering through the windows and opened the closed door and let my bride to be and me walk around to check it out. Extra service points immediately. After looking at some others in the area, we had to pick Headquarters based on menu, seating, comfort and yes....that helpful dude. Two weeks later and our table of 11 were all there. We were actually a little early...no problem and would we prefer the couches first while we waited for our complete party. This set the scene for a lovely afternoon where our waitress did a terrific job seeing everybody was comfortable. Communication with the kitchen was outstanding and at no time was anyone grumpy with anything. The food simply incredible and without fault. The perfect restaurant for the occasion....hopefully I’ll be back someday to spend some more hard earned dollars. Thanks Headquarters....top notch 👍
D.
This place rocks. If your hip and cool then this place works. Great to watch sports on the big screen or have a few drinks.
It is not fine dining nor is it really a quiet cosy romantic spot.
This place is fun and it’s nearly always busy.
V.
Postcovid service are little bit down in comparison beforecovid tome
K.
On holiday, we arrived mid-afternoon. The welcome was super friendly and efficient. We didn't eat, but the food looked good. Quick service for the drinks, but the bar wasn't busy at that time. Good place to sit outside and watch the world go by.
J.
Have been once on a Saturday night, and on this night there wasn't a thing wrong. From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly and professional. Quickly seating us and taking a drinks order. The place was packed so the drinks took 5-10 minutes to come out.
I've always thought I'd never spend $50-odd on a steak and was worried that it was going to come out and I'd still be hungry after devouring it but it came with a side of vegetables. The steak was seasoned very well and I don't regret shelling out at all. My wife had fish and I'm not a fan of fish at all, but I wouldn't have been upset if they'd give us both fish.
A great atmosphere added to by happy and friendly staff made it a very memorable evening.
C.
Met here to catch up with friends...was absolutely deafening inside, so we had to sit outside even though it was freezing. By 7pm all the weekend night crowd is showing up...18yos in their skimpy clothing, even though it's windy AF and 10°C... Not very nice to hang out casually...Huge 'fine dining' area, but it was empty. Can only sit there if your having a nice meal.
R.
Great atmosphere even when busy. Good location right on the water. Menu is good although not too many veg/vegan options.
S.
Great happy hour prices, but way too noisy especially as we arrived very wet & everyone was inside & under cover from the downpour that occurred this Tuesday afternoon. It may be a great location when the sun is shining and it's not the busyness of pre-Xmas catch-ups.
s.
The location has to be the biggest selling point here, It is a great spot to hang out on a sunny day and look out over the viaduct. There is ample seating inside for food and there are lots of seats outside. Only thing is if your just in the bar area on the weekends it has a tendency to be super crowded with not many seats, but the music is normally good so you will probably be dancing anyway.
R.
Great spot for a drink with friends, overlooking the water, comfortable stools.
S.
Very cool fun atmosphere. Arrived later at night for dinner and was not made to feel hurried and was really well looked after. Meal was amazing. Was so great we have booked to go back tonight!
Y.
Beautiful location ...from day to night amazing view/s. The seating offers many options. Food fine. Great to be able to entertain visitors from overseas. DJ and music exceptional. Mix of music responsive to the crowd/audience. Had a lovely time.
E.
First time here with work mates for celebratory drinks. We came for a dance not the food so can't recommend anything here. Music was OK, floor was sticky but it felt like a slightly upmarket version on Danny Doolans but with more lighting.
J.
Nice place for a beer, view of the harbour, video music and bar games.
J.
Whatever they pay the DJ isn't enough, he was brilliant. The place was bursting, well behaved and a great crowd. Best night in decades.
K.
Great music. Nice decor. Indoor and outdoor areas. Not the best environmental design when very busy and popular. Too many tables and chairs and no space to pass between them and the dance floor.
m.
Love this place and the music there.
N.
A really nice place to chill out on a friday after work. The pizzas are fantastic and the selection of meats where great. Lovely views of the the harbour. A large chess set to test your brain while killing a few brain cells with a beer or wine. We will definitely be back.
B.
Lovely food and lovely location. Unfortunately was charged $10 for a bottle of sparkling water that was hardly touched. Had we known it wasn't complimentary, no indication as this was offered before the menus arrived, we would have stuck to cocktails.
L.
This is an excellent place but it changes at various times of the day. 11am brunch on Sundays is super relaxing for families and great menu. Gourmet pizzas yummo and baked fish in pizza oven to-die-for. Later in the day this becomes a pumping bar. So choose when you go depending on the experience you want! Great staff
A.
Great place to chill on a nice day. Good drinks and the kitchen clearly knows how to properly cook with a wood fired oven: everything that we got out of that was good. The Patagonian Toothfish menu entry felt greenwashed, so I went with a pizza instead.
S.
A bar right and restaurant right amongst Auckland viaduct. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy a wine or beer. We did not eat. Those eating around us enjoyed the food.
C.
Great ambience, great view and amazing staff! We loved it !!
A.
Absolutely the best restaurant I have been to!
If the gorgeous interior and atmosphere wasn't enough, the steak and chips were also the best I ever had!
m.
Awesome spot on the waterfront. Good beer and wine, also a pretty cheap spot in the week with lots of specials ($5 wines and $20 super big jugs of beer).
Big venue but can be very busy. Bar food was nice. Staff are pretty friendly.
B.
Home away from home. Once you tried this you will never want anything else.
The club floor team tries to fulfill all requests and usually succeeds.
From breakfast to evening cocktails there are food and drinks available for free, all of high quality. Special thanks to Billy and Gloria.
R.
Not bad if you can get a seat outside although, half of the seating is not what you would call comfortable. During peak hours it's a sweat pit inside. Credit to the bar staff as they always manage to keep the bar wait short.
C.
What a cool place to chill with friends for a drink or dinner. The atmosphere here is really fun and the patrons are all ages. It would be nice if they had more substantial shelter for outside seating but that seems like a small gripe. Over all I'm impressed.
S.
As usual, good vibes, good food and nice breeze! Love having lunch break with colleagues here!
Ps. Mashroom pizza is amazing
D.
This a great place to eat and have a drink, nice views. The only thing that spoils it for me persons the music being too loud.
D.
Definitely a place to visit when in auckland. The atmosphere is great and relaxed, great mixture of music from different genres and a mixture of old schoola nd new music. The staff are amazing and always got a smile on their face.
Beers are nice and cold, i had passionfruit mojitos all night and they were amazing!!!
I would highly recommend this place
K.
Hot sunny day great spot for lunch but...
Service was a bit slack, no plates with oysters or garlic bread.
No serviettes. Food is not cheap , could do better.
But had a good time regardless
K.
Great bar for groups. Good outdoor setting and nice inside too.
T.
Great place! Staff are really friendly and the food was awesome. Relaxed atmosphere with great tasty well presented food. Good variety to suit all tastes and appetites
r.
Amazing music, great atmosphere, classy yet fun, beautiful venue inside and out but you do pay for it.
I.
Great food, location was loud however with no quiet options available
C.
Great night at the best place in Auckland! Service with a smile, great music and the toilets are always first class! Hats off to a staff member, young lady by the name of Nature! A dollar for every glass she picked up would have made her a very wealthy person!
Cant wait for a return visit!
A.
Great location and place to be on a sunny day. Staff are friendly. Relatively casual place and very popular.
Only downside is on a busy day it can be hard to find a seat outside.
Best location to have a beer in the sun in the viaduct due to it's large outdoor area with seats, tables and recliners.
R.
Came for lunch, and I was immediately drawn in by the huge TV in the bar, and great music videos being shown on the tele. The bar itself wasn't busy (it was lunchtime) but I can imagine the place in the evenings, must be bustling. Located right on the Viaduct Harbor walkway with the marina and waterway, a beautiful venue. I ordered the Caesar with chicken, and it was different from what I was used to, but tasted great! See photos. I sat in the left side dining room against the windows overlooking the boats and water. Interesting back story on the place - see image. Won't be here forever so come visit soon!
S.
Excellent place for Dinner, amazing atmosphere, excellent food, friendly staff.
I had the skotch fillet (medium) and it was amazing. Other people on the table had Salmon, scallops, pizza and lamb rack and they all had positive feedback about the food. Music a little too loud to have a conversation around the dinner table but we managed ok, overall good place.
L.
We always visit when in Akld. Seriously great food, extensive bar menu, professional and friendly service, coeliac friendly, child friendly. Fun decor. Get in there before they evude tly close in May 2021.
P.
Food amazing. Dancing, music and lots of people. This place has it all. Love it
J.
Great 70's and 80's music, positive atmosphere, friendly staff and food choices are awesome. Restrooms are spacious and clean. My favourite place to boogie on down after a long week!
R.
Sitting at the most coveted table at HQ was amazing. View out to the basin we enjoyed the garlic bread and the HQ take on cheese on toast (sublime) followed by fish of the day and completed by the Creme Brulee (to die for and easily the beat one I've ever had). An amazing experience, and thanks to my son Phillip too. 😊
S.
This is the place to be - whether for a long lunch, team event or happy hour drinks - have done all of the above at this place. It has a lot to offer - rustic decor, great indoor and outdoor areas for groups, good happy hour rates and a mini curling table (it's fun!).
W.
Great food & beer plus other beverages. The staff are super friendly. Awesome place to take the kids out for a sunday lunch.
c.
Very nice place to visit the service at the bar was a little slow but then again he was selecting special whiskeys so I suppose that takes a little longer regardless I had a wonderful time there
S.
Fantastic hang out morning, noon or night! Great for small and big groups! Food and drink, delicious! Chill in outdoor lounge chairs or dine under the jumgle of hanging plants inside. Cool vibe. Open concept.
T.
A regular place to visit for work functions, lunches and meetings. Always top service. Love the music. Great atmosphere. Always enjoy. Was thrown that the menu has changed recently lol, loved the Chicken that was on the menu previously. Great place.
V.
Great vibe... good food....bad service
a.
We came for dinner on a Thursday but had to sit at the bar area because the dining room was full. There was also outdoor sitting but it was raining and cold. At the bar they only serve light snacks and pizza. We ordered some pizza and they were awesome. DJ was playing 90s music the whole time, so I guess they cater mostly to gen-X crowd. I can imagine this place would be crowded on Friday and Saturday nights.
D.
Great music and atmosphere
D.
Quick lunch meal was perfect, yummy oysters, perfect pizza, chips and crisp light ale. Didn't break the bank. Leo knows his stuff. His menu is great entertainment in its self. Suggest he hosts a charity community meal for taattoed bikers, vegans, NZ First supporters and God bothering stutterers to show there's no bad feelings. Th, Th, Th, than - ks L, 'll, lleo 😁
P.
Stunning! The fisheries building is now a great bar, fantastic indoors and outdoors. All weather beanbags, comfortable couches, even deckchairs, probably the best atmosphere and outdoors area in central Auckland. Great staff, reasonable bar prices too. The city's been missing a venue like this for ages, now it's here and perfect for summer. We'll be back with bells on.
N.
Always love heading to HQ, esp. for a Friday liquid lunch! Lots of options and great viewing/scenery right in front of the Viaduct. The miniature curling bar game is a stand-out! Great way to drink and beat your mates at (another) game!
C.
Can't decide if the service or the food was better. All round, an amazing experience for my brother's birthday. Easiest 5 stars I've given. Thank you for having us, we will be back!
L.
Great ambiance with live-music and delicious drinks prepared with great attention.
N.
Great night out, with excellent live music. Bar service is pretty good, but a little slow to get drinks at times due to crowding and people not moving away from the service area. Good outdoor areas too with a view of the harbour or skycity.
C.
Great deal on oysters, and champagne! The location is superb as is the layout. The service was not as good as it could have been with the staff getting mixed up and then forgetting about us.
B.
Great place, good pizza. Nice dancefloor playing good music to stay until late. If living in Auckland would perhaps stay here too often.
M.
Nice atmosphere, service was a good, great for a few afternoon drinkies in the sun
R.
This place is party central - great atmosphere
H.
A place that grandmom - mom & daughter can all hang out!!! No words to describe their food, atmosphere is my highlight. They play awesome music from the 80s -90s that everyone knows and sings along. Highly recommended the Steak and Lamb !!!
S.
Great music and atmosphere. This club caters to 20s-30s people rather than teenagers so you'll find it gets very busy.
J.
Deservedly busy. Cool place, good food, speedy service with drinks and food. Kingfish ceviche was the highlight for us, but others food looked good also. No grumbles anyway. Our group appreciated the bar with live music after dinner. Will be back again.
S.
The location is as good as it gets, the food is really good, the facilities very good. Ok it was a busy Friday lunchtime but not having enough service staff really detracts, spending far too much time trying to spot and grab them to place orders. We are there to eat and drink and interact with our colleagues not play hunt the waiter
A.
Very nice and quiet during the day 🤪
W.
Amazing , this place is fantastic can not fault the food or service at all .
The highlight for myself was the risotto and the cumin syrup on the smashed cherry pie for dessert a touch of genius.
The beef Tartare was out of this world hands down the best I have ever had.
I throughly recommend HQ , perhaps not the best place for really young or older persons as it is loud.
We will be back I can assure you
S.
Best place and best view great drinks and nice seating outside
M.
Steak was good but not cool waiting 40 minutes for 2 drinks, not getting them and then have be put on your bill anyway
A.
The venue has a large restaurant, bar and plenty of seating. The mains were very expensive but they also have good value pizzas to choose from which are a good size and tasty. The staff were really friendly and gave quick service.
H.
Went here with a group of 30 people. Excellent service, fantastic food & beers as well as an all round amazing atmosphere! Most definitely recommend 👌
K.
Amazing food
Great music (80s and 90s)
Beautiful people (excluding the ultra pretentious)
Good wine selection
Slightly over priced
I will return!
K.
Great location. Great vibes. Sweet views.
F.
Nice view and good location. Service is OK.
M.
We ve have been wondering around Viaduct for a big table to eat & celebrate my cousin birthday. Many places have been reserved and we were 7 people, 3 are kids. When we came to HQ, we had been seated by a very professional manager and all staff have been so attentive to us the whole evening. We accidentally met the owner. The owner gave so much attention to our kids despite the fact that the place was PACKED with people and he actually made kids evening so special. He let kids make their own lemonade at the bar, gave them HQ T shirts & caps to dress up and they liked him so much! The food was outstanding and the whole place is very beautifully designed! The place DOES have the best spot in Viaduct.
R.
Great location and wonderful food. The barman was great but the serving staff forgot to smile. Otherwise a terrific restaurant.... I ordered the lamb (as always!). Delicious.
S.
Bar and restaurant in via duct area. This night was busy and packed with after work people. Started evening here for a drink pre concert. Returned later in evening good crowd music and a dancing on small dance floor. Lots of drink spilt over floor a bit slippery under foot. Good aged crowd a bit of a push for drinks but I'm. We left when think they have issues with toilets and the smell drifting out was terrible. Nice place for summers days. Will return.
A.
Great food, nice atmosphere. Fish of the day was absolutely delicious. Creme brule fantastic - but very big, one is enough for two people :) I recommend the place.
J.
Stopped by later on a Saturday after a long flight to check the place out. Fascinating crowd of people in their 30's, 40's, and 50's enjoying the DJs playing of the classics. Songs from the 50's through the 80's beat with a screen playing the videos of each song. It got absolutely packed and younger people in their upper 20's rolled in later.
Always feel free to reach out to me on Twitter @joerazz

I don't usually write reviews for restaurants I go to, or just reviews in general - as I only do so if I have the effort from being so appalled by a place that I feel a moral obligation and duty to warn others. This restaurant was different however, and is one of the best places I've been to in recent memory.
Initially, I was going to write this review after I first went about 2 weeks ago, but because this restaurant blew me away so much, I can still vividly remember everything I had that night.
Firstly, the problems, albeit, not many. We (I was with a group) waited over 45 minutes to be seated, which was irritating, though I have to acknowledge the fact that the place was very busy that night and the host did pleasantly keep the group entertained and was trying to get us seated. I don't believe the bar area is necessary, with the deafeningly loud music and shouting from half-pissed adults; but again, I'm in the middle for that complaint as I don't know what it would be replaced with as it could entirely effect the intentionally (I believe) casual, not-too-posh-but-still-having-great-standards atmosphere of the restaurant. And finally, the lights outside the place just look cheap and pale in comparison to everything else, very trivial I know, but still a complaint.
Now, when we were seated, we immediately had very good and attentive service. The kids pizza came first, and although a simple margarita pizza, I couldn't resist trying some and it was honestly blew me away (you'll hear this a lot). It was one of the best pizzas I've had in my life, and I really wasn't expecting much considering it was so simple. The dough had perfect texture, ingredients were rich with flavour and was just so simplistically beautiful.
I had my expectations set quite high now in anticipation for my fish. When it arrived I was originally unimpressed with the presentation. I didn't put this in my complaints though, because I truly find it hard to believe that the chef, who produced such fantastic food, would present that dish in a way where it would look like it had almost been dropped, with all the food awkwardly on the edge of the plate; so it was most likely just an accident on the waiters behalf - which I can forgive, as this dish also blew me away.
The sauce blended perfectly with the fish and combined to produce such an impeccable flavour, that it is difficult to describe it's greatness. The finely chopped cauliflower on the side was also fine, but that fish and sauce was the main event, and genuinely excellent. I also tried somebody else's lamb and chicken, and again - it blew me away. The lamb was pristinely cooked and flavoursome, and I definitely didn't except the chicken to be the same. Chicken is so oversaturated when it comes to food, and so many places serve it, you really don't expect much from it after you've had it so much, but this chicken was superb. I'm actually having trouble in describing these dishes in a simplistic way, because I could write an essay (or more of one) if I really wanted to, it was that astounding.
I was planning on staying away from dessert, but after being blown away 4 times, I couldn't resist. At this point, I constantly had to remind myself that there is no way the chef could blow me away a fifth time; but to my utter astonishment, he did it.
Never had I heard of bread & butter pudding, and I really didn't know how bread could possibly be a dessert, although when it came, it was again - perfect. The warmth of it, under the flawlessly smooth cream, the sweetness of the milk, the raspberries, the homemade ice-cream, etc. all completely immaculate. All I can say is, don't skip dessert when you're there.
I came to the place expecting nothing special, but left being bewildered at how I was blown away 5 times by the food. Never to my memory has that every happened, and I even confidently said to my mother afterwards that that food was better than hers (which is very hard to top, trust me). This place will be very hard to forget, and should be at the base of any must-visit restaurant list in Auckland.
R.
Great Viaduct location with lots of inside and outside space and great views of the Viaduct Harbour. Very busy and loud at times but I like a buzzing place with lots of people. Nice place to meet up with friends and have a few drinks, or food :)
D.
Great atmosphere and food and service very good
S.
Great atmosphere and some.of the prettiest toilets i have beem in 🙂 happy staff and even the bouncer had a smile which is rare!
R.
Upbeat and energetic by the harbour over looking America's Cup boats and an assortment of gin palaces. Good food, superb service, great choices for drinks.
G.
Great food, very loud, didn't give us the table we had gone in a week in advance and chosen and booked because the previous occupants wanted to stay on and were buying lots of drinks. The place is only suited to young people.
G.
Pretty decent spot for watching All Blacks games with a supportive, energetic crowd while enjoying a speciality bacon bourbon cocktail. That's all we've had so far, but this made this place good enough for me to think of them for future games. Was really crowded during the game, but that's pretty much expected.
W.
Fast service. Cozy and lovely decorations.
G.
Cool place, especially during the day for brunch / lunch. Nice outdoor seating area, decent food, but could have a better choice for drinks. Service is not the best, a bit pretentious I'd say.
V.
Absolutely beautiful and lovely service! Would definitely come back again
V.
We had a fabulous waitress but she had only been there a few weeks, was unimpressed with the food for the price. Police fire and ambulance get some sort of deal but given the restaurants spot on the water, coastguard and surf rescue should be added especially as they are mostly volunteers.
S.
Beautiful spot and well laid out. Would come here again anytime we return to Auckland!
V.
Excellent afternoon spot for a beverage and hands down some of the best pizza I've had
F.
Amazing service from Josh the bartender
J.
Homely feeling! Lovely and lively ambiance. Great view of the boats and Viaduct action. Good service and food. Took the kids here and they enjoyed it and the kids menu.
S.
Good vibes. Bartender on spot. Nice dj. Good place to have a good nite out.
J.
HeadQuarters has a reputation for getting pretty wild at night but during the day is where the establishment really shines. During a sunny day the relaxed atmosphere is brought together by the large outdoor settings, faux skins and excellent service. The food is excellent, oysters are well well sourced and the meat from the land is cooked perfectly. If you are looking for a working lounge or a way to wind slowly into the afternoon I can't recommend a better place.
M.
Pretty nice layout and food quite tasty. Service pretty slow and food delivery even slower and disjointed. In a table of 7 one meal came first. 30 minutes later the others.
L.
The food was amazing! Great drink menu! And when I lost my phone ( left it in the bathroom and someone picked it up) they bent over backwards to try to help me find it!
M.
Great food. Nice environment
D.
We had a fabulous time, staff GRT! food fabulous, music old, but really, really good,
We had been there for lunch a month ago & wanted to try the dinner experience. Well done everyone. Cheers!
M.
Always love going there, the menu changes all the time but the atmosphere stays the same
P.
Great vibes place. Busy and happening joint. Been here twice in a week.
L.
Always a good vibe!! Great old school sing along music. Food is fantastic 👌🏼
I.
the food is good, but the customer service could be better. maybe it was the person serving my table, but she wasn't very helpful and she was bit sarcastic (something you don't expect when you are celebrating with friends).
H.
The restaurant is in the center of Auckland and is located directly on the harbor. The view is very beautiful and the food tastes good
Y.
Here we go still one of my favourite 2021

Great Viaduct location with lots of inside and outside space and great views of the Viaduct Harbour. Very busy and loud at times but I like a buzzing place with lots of people. Nice place to meet up with friends and have a few drinks, or food :)

A regular place to visit for work functions, lunches and meetings. Always top service. Love the music. Great atmosphere. Always enjoy. Was thrown that the menu has changed recently lol, loved the Chicken that was on the menu previously. Great place.
S.
Very cool fun atmosphere. Arrived later at night for dinner and was not made to feel hurried and was really well looked after. Meal was amazing. Was so great we have booked to go back tonight!
C.
Can't decide if the service or the food was better. All round, an amazing experience for my brother's birthday. Easiest 5 stars I've given. Thank you for having us, we will be back!
C.
Fantastic restaurant, setting, decorating and atmosphere. Everything is perfect apart from the staff being rude. Had a bad experience starting with the front of house not even looking up when we arrived. The n when we wanted to order drinks the bar lady also ignored us and said "I am busy". I hope the owner can read this and address it because it is a fantastic place.
M.
Great attitude good tasty food nice view
D.
Was really good food just took what i felt like was too long for our drinks to arrive
N.
A really nice place to chill out on a friday after work. The pizzas are fantastic and the selection of meats where great. Lovely views of the the harbour. A large chess set to test your brain while killing a few brain cells with a beer or wine. We will definitely be back.
A.
Legendary location , food and drinks
S.
Went here for a Saturday night, great music and atmosphere
M.
What a great wee spot ....bustling place, friendly staff with a great mix of peeps enjoying each other’s company. Location is in a top spot within the viaduct basin, so boats come and go, with unrestricted views into the basin. Will head back again as I think I found a new fav.....looking forward to the warm weather when outside beckons...

Food and service is top class, always come here for drinks and a solid feed. Perfect if your looking to introduce someone to NZ dining culture and vibe 🤙🏾
A.
Excellent food and service. Decor is dated and seats don't fit the tables, noisy dining area but the music is very good.
B.
Beautifully relaxed bar on Auckland' s harbour
J.
Good vibe. Many areas with different environments. Over all, if you get in, you will have a good time with mean food!!!
A.
Beat place to chill and good food also
T.
Delicious food but lost a star for service which was a bit inattentive. The food however was spot on. In our large group everyone ordered something different and all raved about it! Cosy atmosphere and great outlook on the viaduct.
P.
Best french fries everr. Great staff too.
Ps. They changed the fries, right when I took my friends to have their fries :( still good but man those thin and crispy ones
The pizzas there are also delicious
S.
Great place for summer hangout
N.
Awesome location right in the Viaduct. We got great drinks and chilled out on comfey chairs. It wasn't too busy because it was a Monday but I've been told that on Fridays and Saturdays it is packed!!
i.
Great experience! Awesome food and they were great to our kids, our daughter got taught how to make a non alcoholic cocktail. Very nice!
M.
Stunning views, great food, chill ambience and a very reasonably priced menu (especially before sunset!). Must do for dinner, going out or just a Sunday afternoon drink.
G.
The staff kinda seemed to look at me funny, but I am a bit funny looking. Decent prices and pours on tap.
M.

Good place for a beer after work. Have had food their once and it was ok. Not great but reasonable. Layouts a bit awkward when it's packed on a Friday night. But a pretty good vibe.
D.
Great place for a get together...well organised dining space, Big screen video display. Can enjoy multiplayer games...men's toilet is worth using, have fun with jet snooker game there.

Great food & atmosphere. Excellent service from our waitperson

A big thumbs up for kicking out those over 70, and those tourists that are failing to self isolate. They’re not welcome in our country. Identify them, fine them, and kick them out straight away.
A.
good food ,friendly service ,great atmosphere and music
A.
Seems overrated for the food served. Good place to enjoy with friends as the place has some comfy sittings
G.
Great place for people watching and watching boats. Friendly staff and good variety of drinks and food. Reasonable prices and classy without being too snobby.
R.
Great location, awesome setup, drinks were well priced and food great too. Music was superb.
C.
Great service and tasty food. Hard working staff who litterally run around. Was great to watch the team work especially in the pizza making area.
Y.
Good bar, always super full, but nothing special. Annoying thing are very long queues often. But sometimes its worth it.
M.
Would be good if you can update your business hours here and in your website as well please especially as you don’t take bookings. We’re a group of more than 10 and went there at 9am on a weekend but turns out you only open at 11.
d.
Food was done awesomely. Wait staff were a bit slow and didn't communicate well, other than that, I would highly recommend.
Z.
Awesome place to drink and lounge in the sun. Heaps of seating and great old skool music. Food is ok so best just go for the drinking.
S.

R.
Came down to see the light show and stopped by here. Beautiful place!
D.
Was happy to help me out with my dietary requirements (coeliac - gluten free) in a way that didn't make me feel like I was a hassle. Was for a work function. Lots of inside and outside areas.
J.
Very relaxed atmosphere at the marina with a quality happy hour menu of $10 drinks until 8:30pm. Try the margarita!
