Delicious and amazing. They were nice enough to accept a grab one voucher that expired in the lockdown. Super awesome service. Even changed the dish to accommodate my vegetarian son!

Got the Grabone Peking duck for 2 for $46. Amazing deal, there was ALOT of duck for 2 people. Good tasting very meaty duck. The beansprout dish has a lot of Wok Hay and not too much MSG. The corn soup was very basic, so we chose not to drink it. Overall, pretty good meal. Toilet is a bit old and dirty and probably should get that refurbished.

Lost of star would be due to overall service(wait times for tables/food) and frustration to find parking with seating being quite cramped. A large Mt Eden Chinese restaurant with its own small carpark in back. Service was very slow, it took a long time from seating us to coming back to take our order. We were offered tea but had to ask for water and to get someone to take our drinks order. Food was okay, heated well but a bit bland. Somewhat expensive for what we ordered compared to similar places.

I think the staff were very friendly and clever, they can speak fluently in Chinese, Cantonese, and English. So don’t worry if you’re not too fluent, we all relate to that. Unfortunately we arrived for yum char at the same time as multiple tour groups who ate all the available 'steam'. We left still hungry. Usually this restaurant is excellent, we were just unlucky. They were extremely apologetic and offered a discount for what we did have. We will still try again.

Nice fresh dumplings n quality taste. Staff are friendly n no time constraints especially that's what yum chai is about 😊. Reasonable price. Have tried other yum chai restaurants n disappointed with either time limited with booking allowed, extra charges for condiments, mass production with no quality taste or over price.

When this place is good, it's the best food in Auckland but it is often inconsistent. The service is getting better but often you have to get up and get things yourself (soy sauce or chilli) as it will either not come or takes too long. I think it has a lot of tourist groups to keep it afloat.

Great service and value for money meals. Like our many visits to the restaurant over the years sampling various meals, the Hees Peking duck course never disappoints. Definitely worth a visit.

It usually open at around 11 o'clock am for the yum cha. The price is affortable for everyone, roughly 20~30 pp. Ohh, it has tasty food and fantasy tea. I prefer the Pu'er tea which could help us relieve greasy feeling.

Went here with the hubby and inlaws last week. I had pork dim sums for an entree and they were absolutely delicious. For a main I had King Prawns in wine sauce with steamed rice- didn't blow my mind but I think it was too safe a choice. My husband had sweet and sour fish and the fish was a bit too boney but the sauce was exquisite. His parents particularly enjoyed the prawn cocktail starter. All the portion sizes are enormous, I definitely advise you to share,particularly if you are going to have entrees too. I'd go again for those dim sums.
