A.
Great pastry. Love their cocoa croissants and hazelnut croissants. To the lady who left an one star review because the shop was not open when you turned up, Auckland is still on level 3 lockdown which means not all the eateries are fully open. Suggest you take your compliant to the Prime Minister’s office.
B.
This bakery is the best in town. Their food is brilliant especially crossiants, and it is addictive...
Auckland is still locked down, please book ahead. Don't just show up without booking to a superbusy shop. They are short of hands.
K.
We bought quite lot of different sides (crab stick, oyster, scallop, calamari...) and they are all delicious. The fish burger was amazing (egg and bacon burger was good too, but my pick is fish 😉) and the bread crumbed fish was fabulous 😋
D.
Was in the area on a Friday nite, so just had to try this place out, well the fish was devin, had it panko crumbed & was fresh as, chips done perfectly & a crab stick on the side, all served wif a nice assistant in training lol. Definitely have to visit here again. Friday 26 February 2021.
L.
There are meat, eggs, and bread, so I like it because I can eat it softly. Coffee and roasting are done by myself, so it smells good and it's delicious! There's fish and chips in the evening, so make sure you all try it!
Y.
Best of the bakery in Auckland! Make sure you order it before you arrive. Excellent service.
T.
Little treasure in Ponsonby. Visit in the morning for the best french sticks and pastries in Auckland. Be quick! Also have tasty fish & chips and burgers with homemade buns. Worth the price. Owners are lovely! Best place for cheap and good food.
F.
Probably, the best best inner city snapper I've eaten in 6 months, the owner, was warm and friendly, and the kumera chips were delicious tooo, I had a cheeky beverage to go with my meal, sitting on a comfortable bench and firm table. Makes all the difference, to a journeyman such as I. Beautiful Sunshine
P.
Incredibly delicious French style pastries & breads in the morning. Classic kiwi fish & chips in the evening. Friendly service too. (Formerly Ponsonby Fish and Chips)
C.
🥐Chocolate croissant
Fully coated by the chocolate powder.
Every bite I can taste the flavour of chocolate and the crispy pastry!
🥐Almond croissant
Crispy as. Take a chance to view my video
on YouTube and turn up the volume. You will know!
E.
Friendly folks. Delicious coffee and Fish n Chips.
Don’t know why it says cash only they have got EFTPOS.
A.
Great fish and chips, lovely, lovely people, and the best french pastries and croissants
A.
Seriously incredible fish! And the portions are massive. We ordered the panko fried and beer batter fish. Both are incredible
T.
The best Fish and chips, fresh roasted coffee and bread. Sadly I won't be back here for another year!!!! But 100% must try if you are in the area.
R.
The BEST vegan/vegetarian burger I've ever had. We had the vegan burger with beetroot and pineapple because we were curious and it was amazing! 10/10 (+ a delicious pineapple fritter (litterly a slice of pineapple battered & fried with cinnamon sugar)) Excited to go back and try the vegetarian burger with beetroot and egg!
H.
Delicious food! Best burger in Auckland! The chef was extremely lovely. They make their own bread buns, very impressed with the quality and price! 100% recommend!
J.
So delicious. It's cooked fresh in front of you and you can tell. The batter is light and crispy. We got the $21 deal and got an extraordinary amount of food - 1 fish, 1 sausage, 1 battered sausage, large chips, onion rings and a 1.5L drink. Can't recommend highly enough if you're looking for a tasty, cheap eat.
P.
Hard to say if its THE BEST fish and chips in Auckland but it's up there! Its not expensive and they offer a variety of fish and batter style. Great place for a quick lunch or for takeaways.
N.
We both enjoyed the food here the problem was with the size of the portions 1 scoop of chips was lucky to be 1/2 a scoop anywhere else, the fish was small and the spring roll was a bit bigger than my thumb out of proportion with the price. The burger I had was very nice and the size was good.
G.
Top notch for classic kiwi fish and chips. The guys who run it are awesome and friendly, and produce quality food to match that of the fancier establishments that surround them. Your order comes quickly and can be eaten at the chairs on the footpath if you like. Overall, excellent food and great value for a classic kiwi feed.
M.
Excellent food and service...fish n chips best ever, crisp and generous.
Bread delicious, crunchy crust, soft sourdough inner.
M.
No ordinary fish n chips shop. Looking through the display windows simply gives you appetite. Wait till you try the generous filled almond croissant and "nowhere else to be found" pain aux raisins. Very enjoyable as an almond croissant and pain aux raisins addict. ALL hot drinks and bakery HALF PRICE at the moment. I shall be there everyday.
P.s coffee is splendid.
j.
$25 for 2 big chips and 2 pieces of fish really expensive anywhere else would be $13 and for the price no seasoning kind of a bummer for that price you would think they pimped it out, however the chips were good and the fish super fresh so got to give that to them however for the price i wont be going back
E.
So good! Like a fish and shop should be!
Friendly owners generous serves and more fish than batter ratio which is hard to find around town.
The chips are always epic too!
F.
Great Bakery, love the taste.
Lovely people.
s.
We had the vegetarian burger and the snapper fish burger, and they were seriously delicious!! The chips were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, cooked to perfection, yum!
s.
I have been getting my fish n chips from this place. Schnapper is really good and i recommend the beer battered chips. My friend says the coffee is very good as well.
O.
The sign boasts 'Best Fish and Chips in Auckland'... the restaurant very much lives up to the sign. The food was excellent, fast and affordable. The house-made garlic aioli is unreal!
A.
Food service, fresh fish, relatively fast, not cheap however. Certainly a great fish and chips local and the bakery items are always gone by the time we get there which is a shame because they look and sound great!
d.
Surprisingly delicious and worth every penny, value for money with a quaint picture postcard type shop worth the wait.👍
L.
Huge hot dogs, large chips is a bit small but over all a good amount of food!
C.
Some of the best hand made fish and chips anywhere in Aotearoa I reckon!
M.
I had the spicy fish burger (it's not very hot spicy more like cajun spicy), the fritters and they were awesome. I definitely will be hitting that place up again for that combo many times.
R.
The almond croissants are fantastic and they have really good chips.
M.
Great fish and chip shop. Also with a nice selection of bread, pastries and yummy filled roles. Would defiantly to again.
T.
Always friendly atmosphere with a nice fresh "no greasy smell" environment. Now have their on inhouse baked breads and pastrys that are soooooo yummy.
s.
Great breads and awesome fish and chips. Really nice service
A.
The best coffee hand made breads pastries. And the very very best fish and chips.
B.
Just as cheap as other chippies but far out they are good. Especially the burgers. Highly recommend.
R.
Their chips are always crisp and the sausages are twice as big as anywhere else. Staff are friendly and efficient.
S.
This place is pretty darn good. I ordered fish and chips and burgers for 15 people and they got it sorted no problem and all of it was good.
P.
Picked up a coffee (love the intensity!) and a croissant (flaky and buttery!)
Lovely staff :)
C.
Perfectly cooked chips pretty decent burgers..never had a problem with their food in the 20+ years of going there.
T.
Mediocre Fish and Chips compared to the UK. About standard for New Zealand, nothing to write home about or visit again. Good service though.
A.
Burgers are delish, chips are often (not always, but mostly) perfectly cooked.
C.
So good! Reminds me of when I was a kid an my dad would buy fish and chips from here. Still tastes amazing!
L.
I have no opinion
please see below
where I elaborate upon
my lack of knowledge on the subject.

using more words than might seem reasonable

(Translated) Bought three flavors of croissant, dirty chocolate, hazelnut and almond. The ingredients provided by the store are super, the nuts are very fresh, and the chocolate powder is also very pure and fragrant.
I personally like the dirty chocolate, I feel that the bitterness of the chocolate powder balances the sweetness of the chocolate sauce. It is worth buying back!
The important thing is said three times, please book in advance, the boss confirms the order before going to the store. The boss delivers it to the door for $50. A lesson learned after three trips.

(Translated) Freshly baked is too delicious! The best way to eat in Auckland is to be awesome, and the rest is superb. Be sure to go early, or you won't be able to buy it.

新鲜出炉的烘焙太美味了!奥克兰最好吃的法棍,可颂,其他也超级棒。一定要早去,不然就买不到了。
